"... I suppose," Setsushi says warily; he is operating from his understanding of 'boyfriend-girlfriend', and considering that he was once tricked into a courtship ritual, it is possible his definitions are incorrect. "But Porcelain do not have the capacity for more than one love in each life."
"Hm," adds Rika, her expression a little different than usual. ... Though she doesn't seem to be having any trouble drinking her tea.

In each life...?
Sofi once again digs into her bag of endless questions. "So you have nine lives like cats do? You're SOOOO LUCKY!"

"He was trying to be poetic," Rika explains. "Porcelain live 50, 60, 70 years. One can only marry once."
Usually.
"So it must be the right person."

"But... but..." Sofi protests, looking at Rika like she'd just sprouted a bug on her nose. "It didn't rhyme."

"... Rhyme?"
"... What's a rhyme?"
... Is Sofi talking about homophones?

"You know, when two words sound alike? Kind of like this!" She begins to recite: A new farmer's helper named Kull Accidentally was milking a bull The farmer said, "Boy yer dumb, You done milked the wrong one!" Said the boy, "But me whole bucket's full." She obviously doesn't understand the implications of the limerick; why else would she be staring, puzzled, at the horrified faces of her cousin and her guardian?

Setsushi, also, looks horrified and slightly nauseated.
But Rika's face is blank as she asks, "Do you mean that the final vowel sounds or encoded sexual meanings are important to Gaian poetry?"
... How can Rika say that! With a straight face! gonk

Luna bites her lower lip.
She means the final vowel sounds; I don't think she understands the meaning of that limerick.

Rika meant to ask whether she should explain the meaning to Sofi.
Setsushi doesn't wait for an answer, though, to nervously reply, "I don't believe that poem is quite appropriate to recite in, ah, polite company..."

No. Please don't!
Sofi's jaw drops. "B-but... but... but... but... but..." She doesn't MEAN to be rude; she honestly thought it was a funny story about... well, COULD a bull produce milk? What ELSE would he make besides steak?
"I... I didn't mean it to be bad."

"And I do not think Miss did," Setsushi replies, also clearly uncomfortable, "but someone else might misunderstand..."
Though she makes no positive or negative reply to Luna, Rika slowly turns her gaze back to Sofi, then studies Setsushi, and then takes a bite of her sandwich again.

... Setsushi feels a little bad, but his concern that she might burst out with something completely inappropriate to a customer, who might be high-ranked or short-tempered or... ill-intentioned, is stronger than that little regret.
... Ill-intentioned? What does Setsushi mean by that?? confused
