((Yea. I'll have Atemu turn back into Yuugi for now, but I have zip-zilch-nada for him too. x_x After lunch, let's skip to after the duel. As I recall, Lerena and Renoko are going to win. When the duel ends, Kaiba will also have another post, but I'm thinking about making Kaiba immune to the Demonic Sisters' dark song as well since he has a past connected to the Millennium Rod.

Marik should also watch this duel so he can see the Demonic Sisters in action. He can research the Demonic Sisters during lunch. And because Renoko is so keen on learning more about the Millennium Items, the Demonic Sisters are headed to the library.

If he does research the Demonic Sisters, here's an idea.

Idea For What You Can Do With Marik

The Demonic Sisters will have a book about them in the fictional section. Justin's mother has written a book about the Demonic Sisters. It basically talks about what they're destined to do, the history of the Helena Clan, how Lerena and Renoko basically fit the description of two people destined for world power, and the importance of learning how to control the Demonic Sisters. You can be creative with what he reads, because Justin's mother is trying to turn the world against the Helena Clan and make them appear more threatening than they actually are, or is she?

Lerena's grandmother had a vision and argued for this book to be put on the fiction shelf. Basically, the contents of this book is supposed to make Marik suspicious about whether this book really belongs in the fiction section. If you need to know what I have down for Lerena's family history, let me know. What you have to remember is that right now Lerena's family is in an influential position and Justin and his family rivals the Helena Clan. The village that Lerena and Renoko came from want nothing but the Demonic Sisters to succeed and want them to fulfill their prophecy, which is to actually save their village from total destruction.

In addition, another prophecy states that the Helena Clan is destined to overthrow the government and take over the United States. This prophecy isn't as well known though. There's a lot of people in Lerena's village obtaining illegal documents and information. It makes you wonder who the good people are.))

For the moment, Yuugi took over again and nodded. "I want to have lunch as well. I didn't have time for breakfast on my way here." He chuckled slightly. "You're always hungry though, Jounouchi. Akiko seems like a good person. I hope she likes it at this school, don't you? I'm glad someone can appreciate Dante's Inferno. I liked it a lot, but the gruesomeness was kind of disturbing. Anyway, what are you having for lunch? I fixed my own for today. It's just a couple sandwiches and a soda."

When the Demonic Sisters finished changing back into their usual school attire, Renoko took the time to address Lerena's situation as they walked down the hall. "Lerena, what's wrong?"

"Why didn't you guys tell me I had a split personality?!" Lerena asked angrily.

She sighed. "Listen, Sister; we have told you, but for some reason, you keep forgetting that you have one. We're not sure if it's your medication, but there's some psychological reason behind your condition. No matter how many times Mother, Father, and I tell you about your problem, you always forget."

"Why?"

"We don't know. How did you finally remember?"

"Marik told me. Apparently my 'other side' confessed my feelings to him. How could she do that?! What kind of person is she?! Renoko, tell me!"

"Our parents and I have nicknamed your other side Darla, Lerena. To answer your question from earlier Lerena, yes, you are frightening. Darla is confident and psychotic, but likely retains your feelings for Marik when she takes over. If you don't take your medication, Darla will take over again. Since she has access to your memories, she can easily act like you. Don't be fooled and think you don't need it."

With a nod, she walked to her locker and took her medication. Afterward, the Demonic Sisters headed to the library at Renoko's command.

"We're researching the creation of the Millennium Items." said Renoko. When she looked over at her sister, she noticed she appeared to be in deep thought. "What's on your mind?"

"I want to ask Marik what his problem is! I would never start a damn conversation with him! And besides that, I bet he thinks I actually care about him! I quote him exactly, 'When you're able to remember everything you do, then you can come and talk to me.' As if I'll do a thing like that!" she complained.

"Apparently, you do care about him. Why don't I ask him what he thinks of you? Is there anything you like about him?" Renoko asked with a smirk.

"Well, I do like his hair, his fashion sense, his smirk, his---DON'T DISTRACT ME!"

"And I assume you also like his voice, his personality, his eyes, the fact he's taller than you, the way you can't predict what he does, and maybe even his motorcycle?"

Lerena's face flushed red and she put her hand to her mouth. She was embarrassed. Most of the things Renoko said were true, but she didn't know whether she liked his motorcycle or not. "Marik just left me irritated! I don't want to be in love damnit! Someone rip out my heart!"

"You need it to live..." she pointed out with a sigh. "You'll be fine. Just don't let him bug you. The more he does, the more you're likely to want to talk to him again." Renoko suggested.

"Unless I have magic telepathic powers, I didn't start a conversation with him and I never will!" she said sarcastically. "Anyway, did you find a book on the creation of the items?"

"Yes, it's in the Historical Fiction section." explained Renoko. "But the book itself looks ancient."

"What's going to happen to me, Renoko? Just, what?"

"How about nothing? Once we get our own Millennium Items, Marik will have nothing on you."

"Yes, he will! He had this smirk on his face like he was confident he could control me. I don't want to be controlled!"

"You sure?" said Renoko with a dark smirk.

She turned red again, crossed her arms, and turned her head away from Renoko. "Who said I want to?"

"It just seems like he's making you more interested in him with the way he's acting."

"Renoko? How did you stop liking guys?" asked Lerena.

"It doesn't matter. Liking guys is your thing and I'm not going to change that. If you like Marik, maybe I should set you up on a date with him."

"Don't do that! He'd never accept such a thing anyway! He has no interest in me!"

She smirked. "I might be able to convince him."

"I don't care. Just don't set me up. Please!" Lerena pleaded. 'I don't want to be in love with him, but my heart is making me! That's why I don't want one!"

Renoko put a hand on Lerena's head and smiled. "Lerena, it's alright. I won't let him hurt you."

"But I know he will! He probably wants to!" insisted Lerena.

"Is being paranoid and thinking he's just like Kiba going to solve anything?"

[[Perhaps just have Yuugi, Jonouchi, and Akiko all talk with one another? That way the characters can get to know one another? She'll probably mention games, I'm sure they can talk about the subject enough. Yea, we can skip to the end of the duel after lunch- just maybe summarize the duel a bit.

Ok, I'll have Marik research the two in the library. He'll get some type of clue to go there

And yea, I think I will give Akiko a spirit in the item]]

Jonouchi walked with his friend to the lunch room, peeking into his lunch bag. "Some type of sandwhich...." he said taking it out, "oh that's right! I made a peanut butter and banana sandwich, and some cookies, and some soda." He sat at their usual table and took out his lunch. Jonouchi laughed a bit, "Yea, I am always hungry." He took a few bites of his sandwich then added, "Yea she seems cool. But way too nervous or something."

Akiko got the books she needed after lunch and her lunch. As she walked to the lunch room she texted her friends- telling them how she was. Telling them that this school was a whole lot different then where she used to go. She entered in the room, sending out her final text. She looked up, looking for Jonouchi and Yuugi. She walked around a bit but finally spotted them. She sat next to Jonouchi and facing Yuugi.

"Hey there! What do you have for lunch?" he said peeking into her bag.

Akiko smacked his hand playfully so he wouldn't look in. She giggled and started taking things out of the bag, "I got a turkey and provolone sandwich and a water."

"Pfff, you're rather plain," he said jokingly.

"Haha, sorry. I don't drink things like soda cause it gives me heart burn," she said sipping her water. "What about you Yuugi? What do you have?" she asked. She looked at him, he looked rather different now. A lot more peaceful and not so serious. She wasn't so concerned about it at the moment. Suddenly, something beeped from her bag. She blinked a few times, then went searching threw her bag. She brought out her DS and opened it. "Whoops, left this on all night....." she said out loud as she saved her game and shut it off. The DS beeped to let her know it was running out of battery.

[[ok..... I know a DS doesn't do that, but I did it any way cause it was either going to be this or a tamagachi, and I wasn't feeling the tamagachi idea. So for the fun of it, pretend the nintendo DS beeps when it is low on battery XD]]

Jonouchi looked down to see her turning off her hand held. He then took notice her wrist, the same one he grabbed during gym. "Hey..... what's wrong with your wrist? It's all purpley," he said pointing it out.

Akiko looked down to see the bruise was forming, "I told you to let go....." she mumbled but loud enough for him to hear.

Marik stayed clear of the Demonic Sisters. He had to find more about the two. Everything he could. Sure it would be easy to get what he wanted right now, but he had to learn about them to prevent any backfiring. He stood at the corner of the empty hallway. A male student walked alone- late to a class. Marik reached out and grabbed him when he was close enough- pinning him to the wall. "I'm not going to hurt you, unless you make this difficult for me," he said in a dark voice. He wasn't very good at just out and asking someone information. He only knew this technique, or rather, he only bothered to use this technique with simpletons. The kid stayed still, petryfied of Marik.

"O-ok...." the boy said fearfully.

"Tell me any information about the Demotic Sisters. Anything of importance. Go," he demanded.

"W-what's to know? They hate men, any boys they date they use and then get rid of. The guys end up moving to different schools," the boy said.

"And the importance?" Marik growled as he pressed him harder into the wall.

"Ah! If you want information on them...... just look in the library!" the boy broke down and said.

"Why?" Marik said puzzled.

"There is a book on their family clan. It's under fiction, I don't know how true it is. It's really hidden in the back, you'll have to dig it out a bit," he explained.

Marik smiled evily. "Go," he said gripping the kid's shirt and throwing him to the side. The boy lost his balance and fell to the ground. "Mention this to anyone, and I will kill you. Got it?" he added. The boy nodded his head frantically and ran off to class.

"A book huh? This should be interesting," Marik said as he snuck to the library. He didn't even see the girls in there, they were in Historical Fiction while he was in plain old fiction. After looking around a bit, he found the book he wanted. How that boy knew was beyond him, but there was in fact a book about them. Or rather, the 'Helena Clan'. This book looked like it was untouched for a long time- though the condition of it was rather new. He sat down and started to read a bit. He had all of lunch to read it.

((I sort of let myself get carried away with this post. I was enraged and in a bad mood when I typed it, so...yea ._. That's why it's so long. Enter Justin, a rival of the Demonic Sisters and their first victim once they obtain their Millennium Items.))

"I just have a couple of sandwiches and a can of soda. I don't fix anything fancy." answered Yuugi. "So you like games, Akiko?" he said with a smile. "What kind? I like all games, but my favorite is Duel Monsters." He frowned when he noticed the bruise on Akiko's wrist. When Akiko indicated that Jounouchi was holding on too tight, he sighed. "Jounouchi, you should be more careful. Some people aren't as strong as you. You know, there's this condition that causes people to get bruised easily. I bet Akiko has it."

"I finally found you dumbasses!" said a voice. It was none other than Justin and he was holding a spare copy of the Helena Clan book. "Are you aware that Mother has donated a book about you two to this school? You might want to head over to the fiction section to read it."

Renoko pinned Justin against a bookshelf. "What do you want, boy?" She turned to look at Lerena to see her reaction. Justin always seemed to let loose Darla, which was inconvenient for the both of them.

"Ahh!" Lerena screamed, feeling her head. Something inside her was fighting to be let loose, but she knew her medication was preventing it from doing so. "The fiction section? Your family has some nerve!"

"Lerena, check out the fiction section to see if there's an extra copy of the book while I deal with Justin." Renoko ordered.

She made her way to the fiction section as Renoko ordered her to do as the intensity of her split personality being let loose waned.

He dropped the book when he hit the bookshelf and glared at Renoko. "I'm here on official business to stop you and your sister from fulfilling your prophecy of overthrowing the president of the United States. It'll take awhile for my family to obtain a search warrant, but I already believe that the Helena Clan is conducting illegal business." explained Justin, who was thrown against the bookshelf harder. "Feisty one as always, Renoko. You always were the strongest sister."

"Stop your flattery! You will cease your present actions immediately or I will kill you!"

"Why so hasty, Renoko? Can't we all just suffer the consequences of our misdeeds?"

"You don't want me to get serious, Justin!" sneered Renoko, throwing him to the floor, causing dust to be exposed to his school uniform.

"Agh! You'll pay for that, you witch!" threatened Justin.

"Hm. I never was that bad when my clothes got dirty. You must be a real pain in the a**." Renoko sneered again, putting her right foot to his throat and shifting her weight to it. "When I let you go, think of this as a warning. Next time you try to meddle with the Helena Clan's affairs and our prophecy, I will kill you. Got it?"

He felt like he was choking. Justin struggled to breathe, but one of his arch rivals was overpowering him.

From the expression on Justin's face, he was powerless. This influenced Renoko to smirk and take her foot off his throat. "I see you understand our agreement. Get up." she ordered darkly.

Without a second thought, Justin struggled to stand up, weakened by the fact his attire was dirty. He wasn't in proper fighting attire so he couldn't accept this! "Fine, you win, Renoko." he said, walking away, but secretly making his way to the fictional section.
Meanwhile, Renoko continued researching the creation of the Millennium Items, very confident that Justin wouldn't bother them again for awhile.

Lerena was almost to the fiction section, but she was behind the bookshelf the book Justin mentioned was on. She heard someone walk behind her. Whirling around, she saw Justin, looking very angry.

"Tell your sister to control herself on school grounds!" he threatened.

"Or what?" she asked. "I'm looking for that book you mentioned so shut your hole."

"Heh. I see you're still as obnoxious as ever, Lerena. So, who are you interested in now?"

Her eyes widened. "Like I'd ever tell you, rich brat!"

He grabbed Lerena's hair. "I could say the same for you, b***h." he said. "Mark my words, I will stop you and your sister."

"Let go of me!" she ordered. "You damn stalker! You shouldn't even be here!"

"You shouldn't even be here, Lerena. Neither of you should. Cobra should have killed BOTH of you! If it wasn't for your sister, you would have died like the weakling you are!" He let go of her and smirked, awaiting her reaction.

"It was you. It was you! I knew it!" she said angrily.

"I thought you had always known since you told Marik it was me. So, how is he? Is he your type or what?"

"How did you find time to listen to us?!" she demanded.

"I wrote my past down, then I had my partner write hers down. Really, writing is like second nature to me, Lerena. I can multitask easily. I bet you sympathize with Marik, don't you? It's such a shame you're in love with someone who has no experience being with a girl."

"SHUT UP! Don't talk about him like that!" She punched Justin in the jaw and glared at him. "If you say one more word, I'll kill you!"

"Damnit! Is everyone violent today?!" he said angrily. "You filth."

"You will not insult him again, you understand me?!" she ordered, grabbing him by the shirt collar.

"But, I thought you didn't care about him. Was that a lie."

She looked at her hand and sighed. "I don't know..." she replied.

"You're so naive. My mother predicted your downfall." he explained.

"No one can truly tell the future!"
"Wrong. There are some people gifted with the art, my mother by nature, and the holder of the Millennium Necklace."
"How do you know about the Millennium Items?!" she asked angrily.

"Because I'm not as naive as you are, my dear Lerena. Don't you remember our relationship? It was beautiful until you ruined it!" he growled. "You could've had fame, talent, and you could've been a lot richer! Why did you turn that down?!"

"Because you don't know true misery." Lerena replied. "Only someone who has suffered can truly understand what I need."

"You truly are pathetic then, Lerena."
"You think I want men who are selfish, narcissistic, and stuck-up?" she retorted.

"And I suppose you'd rather have someone who has no experience with women, was supposed to guard a tomb all his life, and---"

Lerena grabbed him by the throat and pinned him against a bookshelf. "Do you wish to say that again? I swear to you, I will kill you without a second thought."

"You have no weapons. Your grip is nowhere near as powerful as your sister's, you know."

"Would you care to see what Darla's grip is like?" she said sarcastically.

"Me? No. I bet she's powerful. I'm sure you'd much rather be her." he said with a smirk and pushed Lerena off him. She hit the bookcase, but it wasn't enough to knock it over. A few books fell off the shelves, though nothing more major than that occurred. "I always did like your persistence. It is such an attractive trait." he said with a smirk. "Though you'll never be as powerful as me."
"Heh, you know what I'm really missing?" asked Lerena as she stood up.

"A man to protect you? That is a sight I'd love to see."

"No, actually. I'm missing a book about dirt on YOUR family. What did your mother write about me and my family?!" she demanded.

Justin snickered. "Nothing but the truth. When I expose your family as the demons they are, my mother will become even more rich. I may never become as rich as Seto Kaiba, but believe me, I have the potential; that is, if I stop messing around with matters like these. It's just too fun torturing you and pissing you off though."
"You know, I may not be as powerful as my sister, but there's something both of us have in common." Lerena replied putting a hand to her heart and closing it.

"Loyalty? Is that it? You really make me sick. The only person in this world you can rely on is yourself. Even your family will eventually betray you. My family and I are so close because all of us never accept failure. If we fail, we accept the punishment. Your family on the other hand fails to see the impact of true failure."

"You're saying a lot, but you're not saying anything cool." said Lerena with a smirk. "Try dialing a number for someone who gives a damn."

"I would never harm a woman, but in this instance, you don't really count since you punched me, right?" he asked.

Her eyes widened and she dodged a punch from Justin. "You're nothing but scum," she answered, grabbing his arm and throwing him onto the floor. "You have one day to live, unless of course, Miyu-sama dictates otherwise."

"What makes you so sure she'll protect you?" Justin asked, standing up and taking note of Lerena's sudden threat.

"I was born in the village she protects. She protects all the people who originated from her village and anyone shares her residents' blood. If you hurt me, you will suffer from Miyu's Curse."
"That's in Mother's book as well; an explanation of the Helena Clan's strong belief in Miyu. The curse itself causes a person to hallucinate and eventually develop paranoia, correct? Some of the most serious cases of the curse have resulted in murder. And the boys you and Renoko took advantage of? They received the curse as well, didn't they? That's why they supposedly 'transfer'. They really died, did they not? Miyu's Curse caused them to go insane and kill themselves, is that not what happened?" he asked. "I hear that some people are immune to Miyu's Curse, namely people who possess Millennium Items. If a person is a friend or family member of someone who wields a Millennium Item, they too cannot be affected by the curse. That is Miyu's Promise."

"Where did you get this information?!" Lerena asked again.

"'Where' does not matter. Miyu has a plan for you and Renoko. Supposedly, all those who you wish suffering upon will suffer. And supposedly, all those who you wish success upon will be extremely successful in their lives. Unfortunately for you, Miyu promises not to hurt her village residents for any reason unless they wish harm on the village. I have not decided to, but rather, I want to help the village see that the Demonic Sisters are evil and heartless."

"If we are heartless, then tell me how we care for our family. Tell me how Renoko's loyalty to her friends is heartless. And, in my defense, I do believe that having a crush on someone means I am not heartless." Lerena retorted.

"I grow bored of this conversation. Do end it quick. I'm hungry and I need at least 10 minutes to eat my meal." said Justin clapping his hands.

"This conversation ends when I say it will." said Lerena firmly. "

"You do not make the rules, Your Highness." he said sarcastically.

"I'm afraid I do. I can't let you leave without showing you that I mean business when I say you will die."
He smirked. "I support your desire to beat me, but my insults of your dear crush are over."

"You will suffer." said Lerena darkly. "My hate for Yuugi seems like a friendship when it comes to you."
"A friendship? Ah, that's nice. I'm sure he'd like to hear that one."

"You will pay for your sin. You know what famous people do to stalkers?" She pointed to her amethyst earring which had a button attached to the bottom. She pinned him against the bookshelf and smirked. "You know, for two ex-lovers who are now arch rivals, our ability to talk with each other for long periods of time has not changed." She stared into his eyes, before pushing the button and watching the effects of pepper spray being sprayed into his eyes. She backed up as quickly as her body would allow her.

He grabbed his eyes and started to wiggle in pain on the ground. "Ah! I didn't think you'd actually do it!"

"Tell anyone of what I did and I will be at your house the very same night with a chainsaw. You are to tell anyone who asks that Anzu Mazaki sprayed pepper spray into your eyes for being a pervert. Is this understood?"

"Yes! It's understood!" he said forcing himself to keep his eyes open despite the excruciating pain. "I will not be bothering you or your sister for awhile! I will accept my punishment!" he said. Inside, this was all a lie, but the pain from the pepper spray was influencing him. He took an alternate route out of the library and never did make it near where Marik was sitting. Lerena taunting him during his walk out was putting him to shame. He hated her, truly hated her for what she was doing to his pride!

"Keep walking punk! The Helena Clan will kill you and your family! In fact, it might as well be our New Years' Solution!" she said with a loud cackle. When she heard a door close, she ceased her cackling and allowed herself to fix her composure. Her hair looked pretty messy since Justin messed with it. "God, I hope no one bore witness to that..." she said to herself with a sigh.

[[Sorry, I was away this weekend and I forgot to tell you ahead of time -.-' ]]

[[Hmmm, I'm really debating whether or not Marik should have heard Lerena and Justin's conversation. Justin says that his mother had the Millennium Necklace.... I'm confused. Does Isis no longer have it? Or were you aiming more toward Isis being his mother? I was confused @_@ If Isis no longer has it, did Justin's mother steal it from her? I was thinking that Marik could go after him on those grounds, but then again you said you wanted the sisters to use their new items on him first.

Before I can post for Marik, do you want him to over hear the convo or not? Give me you're answer and I'll add Marik's response before you're next response.]]

"Yup yup," Akiko said nodding her head, "I like all types of games really. Traditional to digital. I think I've been favoring video games a bit more recently." She took a bite out of her sandwich then added, "Been recently obsessing over We Love Katamari, but you know, there are other games out there I play." She swallowed then smiled, "Oh yea, I've played duel monsters. I have a deck too..... somewhere...... I still haven't finished unpacking my boxes yet."

"Pfff, girls don't play duel monsters," he joked.

"Fuuuu, yes we do," Akiko made a joking face back at him.

"It isn't some girlie a** deck is it?" he said. "God I couldn't stand Anzu's deck, filled with fairies and everything," he added.

"Oh, my deck is totally manly, filled with manly power and awesomeness," Akiko joked and laughed a bit. "I dunno, I guess my deck is good," she said quieter. She was rather modest when it came to her gaming skills. She never really talked smack either, she just rather beat someone and smile- let them feel the hurt after they paraded around their skills like they were godly.

"Huh?" Jonouchi said looking at her wrist as well. He shrugged at Yuugi then said, "I didn't know."

"Oh, it's ok. I should be used to it," she said sweetdropping a bit. "Yea, I do actually," she said to Yuugi, "I have low iron, an iron deficiency, so I bruise easily. My legs are all bruised up from helping my parent's move things in and bumping into stuff. I don't really care, but I hate how it looks. It's even worse cause the school didn't give me my knee socks yet so I can't hide them." She then giggled a bit, "Usually people think I'm beaten or something. But I'm not!"

"Yeesh, so like..... just from me grabbing you caused that to show up?" Jonouchi said feeling a bit bad. "You're real fragile then I guess!" he added.

"Nah, I still go around, run like a maniac and not care. I technically shouldn't be doing sports in PE though. I still do it though, I don't care," she said.

"Wait, because of the iron deficiency?" Jonouchi asked. It seemed rather strange they would tell her not to play just because of that.

"Well...." Akiko said but paused, "I mean, not just because of that.... there's other things. Asthma being another...." she said but didn't want to continue talking about it. "Ok, different conversation. I'm making myself sound sickly," she said jokingly though it was true that she was kinda sickly.

[[Marik's post will be posted after you tell me if he heard that convo or not. Sorry! I'm not sure crying ]]

((No, no, no. Justin's mother didn't steal the Millennium Necklace, but that would be an awesome plot twist. In that case, she did steal it! Justin's mother is mean enough to do that anyway. Isis can't be his mother, because she isn't mean enough, plus that would probably make Justin pretty young and he's 17 xD

Oh, I reread this line:

"Wrong. There are some people gifted with the art, my mother by nature, and the holder of the Millennium Necklace."

That was supposed to clarify things up a bit, but I do kind of see how you could get Isis from that. Basically, his mother was originally a person who could see visions without the Necklace, but was only able to see into the future. He mentioned that the owner of the Millennium Necklace also had this ability. When I noticed what I posted, I decided to change the situation to the idea that Justin's mother stole the Necklace, because I didn't mean to put anything like that down x.x; It makes things far less complicated if she just stole the Necklace anyhow.

Here's how it went: Justin's mother won the Millennium Necklace from Isis in a duel as the ancient scriptures said it had to be done. If I could be Isis, I would probably have her move to Domino City to win her Millennium Necklace back, but unfortunately I suck at being Isis. XD!

I don't really want to get into the complicated details of how Justin's mother beat Isis though x_x;

Marik can overhear the conversation if you want him to. Personally, I think it would be more interesting if he overheard it. I'm afraid I do have plans for Justin to suffer more in this post so Marik can't go after Justin to get revenge on what he said about him.

I know that you wanted to add Marik's response before my next reply, but there's a certain older sister muse who's waiting to beat the pulp out of Justin and I can still post as Yuugi for the time being too.))

"I don't mind if you're sickly. Not everyone is perfect and I find people who aren't big and tough to be easier to talk to." said Yuugi. He frowned at Jounouchi's joke. It wasn't funny at all, because a lot of girls played Duel Monsters. The game was just more popular with the guys for some reason despite all the girly cards. "I wonder what Renoko's and Lerena's decks are like. They're probably not girly in the slightest. And I don't consider Mai's deck very girly either myself." commented Yuugi with an innocent look on his face. He wanted to comment on the iron deficiency thing, but decided it would be best not to.

He took a bite out of his turkey sandwich and looked at the ceiling as if he was daydreaming about something. Anzu didn't spend a lot of time with him and Jounouchi anymore because of her job. It was kind of sad and he missed hanging out with Anzu. "You know, Jounouchi, on the subject of Anzu's deck, she did beat you a lot before you took lessons from Grandpa." he pointed out with a soft laugh.

It didn't take long for Renoko to take a hint and become aware that Justin had not listened to her. In the distance, she heard books fall off the shelf and knew that Justin must have started a fight with her dear sister. She watched Justin walk out of the library, his eyes bloodshot and irritated from the pepper spray. His brown hair that was normally well-combed and groomed was messy with some pieces of his hair sticking up. "So she used the pepper spray earrings I gave her." said Renoko with a cruel smile.

She understood from his and his sister's conversation that someone in his family must possess a Millennium Item. If this was the case, he would be immune to Miyu's Curse, which was quite unfortunate. However, the worst of her luck was when he explained Miyu's Promise. She remembered reading something similar and perhaps even the exact same promise. If this was the case, Yuugi would be protected from Miyu's Curse until she and her sister won the Puzzle from him.

If Justin was protected, however, she had to do something. She made her way to the nurse's office on an alternate, more quick route. Justin would likely be headed there since her sister damaged his eyes quite a bit. When she arrived, there was a note on the door and she observed it.

The nurse is sick. All patients must see the school principal if any problems arise. Thank you. -The school principal.

"Hmmm." Renoko said to herself. She checked to see if the door was locked, and to her surprise, it wasn't. Someone forgot to lock the door apparently. Renoko found the spare nurse outfits in the employee closet. She slipped it on and waited for Justin to make his way to the nurse's office. For her plan to work, she had to make sure the note wasn't on the door for Justin's session. She ripped it off and hid it in a safe place to put back on the door later.

Renoko and Lerena seemed to conduct themselves properly in gym class. It was fake. All of it was fake. The Demonic Sisters truly were demonic and they would no doubt become a lot worse in the future. His family had to take haste! He walked into the nurse's office and sat down on the patient couch. "Hello? I have a problem, Nurse. Anzu Mazaki sprayed pepper spray into my eyes!" he explained.

"I see." came Renoko's disguised, professional voice. "You'll have to rinse the pepper spray out of your eyes with water for at least fifteen minutes." she explained. "I'll direct you to the sink."

"Thank you, miss. I know where the sink is though. Even though my vision is temporarily impaired, I can see it in front of me." He walked to the sink and put his head in to rinse out his eyes.

"Who's naive now? Tell me, Justin." said Renoko in her real voice. She walked behind him and tied a scarf around his throat to cut off his breathing. It was so tight, it caused his skin to turn purple. She backed up to block the door and smirked at Justin. "Choose. Would you rather die or suffer from the effects of the pepper spray?"

Justin stared at Renoko, his vision becoming clear enough to see that this woman was Renoko, not the school nurse. He fell to his knees trying to see where a pair of scissors were. No scissors were around for him to see. He tried to untie the scarf to no avail. Renoko was strong!

She knelt before Justin and smirked. "I like my corpses murdered and with their heads cut off." she said with a cruel laugh.

"You're...so...is your sister even aware that you're this mean?" he said managing to untie the scarf tied around his throat at last.

"No, she's not aware that I'm this twisted in the slightest. However, she'd understand. I'm no more twisted than Darla after all." She looked into his eyes with a disturbing gaze and then stood up to grab a shot. "Justin, my sister is actually very powerful and very strong. If she believed in herself, she would see that and be able to defeat you. However, it seems that I must seek vengeance upon you for what you have done to her."

"I'm sorry! I was angry! I haven't once been given a proper lesson on how to conduct myself when I lose my temper!" he said pleading for his life when he saw the needle in her hand. He hated needles. They frightened him a lot.

"I'm sorry. I don't care who you are I'm afraid." she said with a dark smile. "And it seems we're on the same picture, because I have also never conducted myself properly when I lose my temper." She pinned Justin to the ground and pulled up his sleeve. "Which item does your family hold? Tell me or I will give you a diagnosis for being allergic to cats and I won't stop when I get to a vain." she said with a sadistic grin.

His eyes widened and he fought to kick Renoko off with his leg, but she was on top of him preventing him from moving. "The Millennium Necklace! My mother stole the Millennium Item from its original owner!" he confessed.

"Who originally owned this item?" she asked.

"Isis Ishtar! Please, let me go!" he pleaded.

"Isis? Marik's sister?" asked Renoko with her eyes widened in fascination.

"No, his mother. Yes, his sister! She put up a good fight I hear. My mother would've lost to Isis if it wasn't for my mother's threat to steal the Millennium Rod from Marik." He struggled to get up again.

"The what?!" Renoko pinned Justin against the floor quicker. "How did she find out he owned the Rod? Tell me, fool!"

"It started out as a friendly duel and a friendly conversation. She wanted to know more about the Millennium Items and who owned them, so Isis told my mother in the hopes that she wouldn't do anything foolish. However, my mother only wanted the Millennium Necklace from Isis and any information she had on the holders of these items so she could obtain all the Millennium Items." Justin explained. "I don't know what she plains to do once she obtains all the items! I swear!"

"My sister then...is she in danger?!" Renoko asked.

"I wanted to save Lerena from falling to the dark side. I wanted to save her from becoming like you and from falling in love with the wrong person, but..." he closed his eyes and the pain he felt seemed to become nothing compared to the misery he felt by admitting his feelings. He still cared for Lerena and he hated this fact. His family hated the Helena Clan, but he loved someone with the Helena bloodline. It wasn't helping his situation at all.

"But?" asked Renoko.

"If Marik wants something from Lerena, he can get it. It doesn't matter if Lerena agrees to do it or not; he can make her do it by force if she refuses. Can I go now?" he asked.

"I'll let you live for now as a reward for telling me this information. However, one thing. Do you know what Marik's goal is? If he has a Millennium Item, there must be something he seeks."

"Isis wants someone to save her brother. He wants to kill the Pharaoh, because Marik blames the Pharaoh for his family's suffering. I don't know anything beyond that though." he said with a slight cough.

"You say you wanted to save my sister from becoming like me? And from falling in love with the wrong person? Is there something about Marik that Lerena and I don't know about?" she asked with curiosity. "Did your mother have a vision from the Necklace once she received it?"

"Yes. You are going to murder a lot of people. It'll be in a brutal and ruthless passion. Your sister might never fully recover from such a situation and there's a strong possibility she could become Darla forever. Additionally, Marik probably won't hurt Lerena as long as she complies with his orders. He won't care about you as long as you don't stop her from listening to him. However, he has another side. There's this side of him that's evil and ruthless. You might say that he has a split personality similar to Darla, but I believe that his split personality is worse." he explained.

"Worse? Than Darla? This I gotta see." commented Renoko.

"Don't try to bring out his dark side. He'd kill you and Lerena." advised Justin. "If you and Lerena don't save Marik from his dark side, there may be Hell to pay."

"Why should I listen to you? Are you telling me false information in order to get my sister to hate Marik?" she asked. "I know you overheard the conversation that Lerena and I had."

"Please, I beg you! His dark side is far worse than anything you and your sister are capable of right now. Don't let his dark side prevail. You two must alert the Pharaoh so he can stop Marik's dark side from being let loose into the world!"

She glared into his eyes. "And my sister's charm is not enough to make Marik fall in love with her?"

"I don't want him to be with her. I'm afraid of what he'd do to her. Please, if you don't trust me, at least trust that Marik has ulterior motives!"

"You are her arch rival and you expect me to believe that you care for my sister's happiness and freedom?"

Justin stared at her and nodded. "I don't know how to deal with these feelings. I've been trying to suppress them, but your sister doesn't understand who she's in love with. He's dangerous, Renoko, very very dangerous. Lerena wouldn't be happy without a rival, Renoko. That's the only reason I'm trying to grant her that."

"Hm. Before I let you go, is there any way for my sister and I to cease contact with Marik without meeting death?"

"She wouldn't listen to you. She's in love, Renoko, and love makes us do foolish things. The likely result is she'll do anything to keep him pleased."

"Anything?" Her eyes widened in fear. "Even give up her freedom and let him control her?"

"I don't know how far she'd go when I say 'anything' to be honest. She may not even be aware of how much she's attracted to him right now, but she did wound me quite a bit." he said with a soft laugh.

"I don't see you bleeding anywhere." Renoko answered sarcastically.

"Her words stabbed my heart like a dagger. Even if I'm doing well in terms of physical condition, with the exception of the pepper spray in my eyes, she's a more worthy opponent than I'm willing to admit. The man who gets her truly will be lucky."

"Hm. Wash your eyes out in the sink." ordered Renoko as she got off him. "So my sister can't cease contact with Marik and escape his grip on her?"

"It's impossible, yes, because Marik owns the Millennium Rod. After Lerena has given Marik what he wants, it's likely he'll do to her what she did to me. I hope it truly does happen."

Renoko sat in a chair cross-legged with her arms crossed and watched as Justin washed out his eyes of the pepper spray. "I don't get it. I truly don't get it." she said closing her eyes. "What got you to open up?"

"The damn pepper spray!" he snapped. "It still hurts like the plague you know! Though if it wasn't for the pepper spray, I wouldn't have been able to realize how much I still care for her."

"Let my sister go," Renoko advised. "She isn't meant to be with you."

"But is she really meant to suffer and be with Marik? He has no experience being with a woman. He could hurt her!"

Renoko stood up and walked to the window, closing the blinds and curtains. "As far as I am concerned, Justin, she deserves neither of you. Marik might be Miyu-sama's way of showing my sister that men are dirt though. If that is the case, I must let her suffer the consequences of being in love with this man."

"You'd let her fall prey to someone like Marik?" Justin asked. "What kind of sister are you?"

"I will merely lessen the pain when Marik breaks her heart. That's what I'll have to do." said Renoko turning around.

"I truly hope that Lerena does not suffer from a sad fate." said Justin. He kept washing out his eyes and his eyesight was starting to get better and become renewed.

"My sister is strong enough to handle whatever Marik does to her. If his dark side is let loose, however, Darla is sure to come out as a defense measure."

"Darla could always become a lot worse." Justin said with a sigh. "I know she could."

"I'm going to change behind the curtain. Don't look at me changing, you blasted pervert." she ordered. She got behind the curtain and changed back into her school uniform.

Justin turned around for a brief moment to see if his eyesight was better. The light from the room caused him to see Renoko's figure behind the curtain. Her breasts were way too huge! It was no wonder she could get a man faster than Lerena. Lerena's breast size was about average for a fully developed woman, only slightly bigger. What was the attraction to breast size though? He couldn't understand that and he was a man himself. His eyesight was satisfactory, but he could still feel some pepper spray in his eyes. He turned around and waited for Renoko to finish changing.

Renoko finished changing after about five minutes and threw the spare nurse's outfit back into the employee closet. "I'm leaving. Tell no one that I almost killed you." she ordered and left the room to go back to the library. If Marik owned the Millennium Rod, he could hurt her sister no problem. He had to warn her sister about what Marik was capable of!

Marik could hear voices while he read, so he quickly hid the book he was reading big putting it into another book. He shot his eyes upward, expecting someone to be there. There wasn't. They were close though. He focused so he could listen in- it sounded like Lerena and some other person. He quietly took the Helena Clan book and shoved it in his backpack while placing the other book down anywhere. He hid out of sight and listened to Lerena's and Justin's conversation. A lot was about her past, but what really caught his attention was when Justin mentioned him to Lerena. He was listening too? He didn't even detect him. Marik was a bit angry with himself. He didn't care if people knew, he wasn't here for popularity or anything. But this kid, there was something about him.

In a way, he almost liked being defended, but he blew off those feelings. She really did seem to have a thing for him. Never thought it would be that easy. Perhaps next time he was with her he would open up a little more. He couldn't play hard to get all the time. Sure, he had no experience with women, but at least he had some sort of common sense. And Lerena was so much like him that it was a little easier then a woman that was considered the norm. He narrowed his eyes a bit at the thought that they were the same. He didn't like admitting that to himself. Nobody was like him and yet, she was.

But what truly caught his attention was when Justin mentioned the Millennium Necklace. His eyes shot open. How did he know about them!? And the Necklace especially!? And what was this nonsense about his mother holding the necklace!? No, she couldn't have. He was bluffing, surely he was bluffing. Nobody could have found Isis. How could they? And Isis couldn't have lost the item, there was no way. Nobody, nobody messed with his family. He felt his fist clench in anger. Who ever this boy was, he just made a terrible enemy. He peeked over to get a look at him. He remained unseen but got a good look at him.

What continued to puzzle him was how Isis was found and how this boy's mother knew. Him and his sister had differences, but that was still his sister. And the necklace was rightfully hers. He would make this boy pay dearly for what he has done.

Once he left Lerena was left alone. He gave her some time before he walked out in front of her. He knew he had to work on getting closer to Lerena, but there was something more on his mind at the moment. "I want to know one thing, and one thing only," he said in a very serious tone, "who was that boy you were talking with?" He was dead serious about finding him and eventually his mother. The necklace was Isis' and he was going to get it back, even if it meant killing that woman. Right now, he was very vague and lacking spoken details. He wasn't big on being open with what he was thinking, especially not right now. Persistence however could perhaps change his tone.

"Heh, then I must be the easiest person to talk to," she said in a soft voice but chuckled a little. "Who said I wasn't tough?" she said teasingly giving a sly look. She couldn't help but play small tricks and tease. It was her nature, especially when she starts to open up. However, she thought about all the things she's had to gone through health wise. "Well, it can become rather difficult at times....." she said. She thought about times were she was sick and couldn't be with people. She thought about times she was in the hospital and her old friends came to visit. It was probably hard for them to go and see her as so. It was sometimes hard to be her friend, especially when she was younger. And she had to do it all over again, because these were new people who didn't understand.

She looked up at Yuugi and thought about the duel he had to participate in after school. She chuckled a bit, "You seem rather calm now about the duel. Before you were kinda serious looking. Made me think it was a really big matter." She then thought about the two girls, "Well I just met them, and I don't think they would have a girly deck. Nope, can't see that really. Unless they are really good cards, then who really cares if it is girly?"

"Renoko's deck is probably filled with dark goth cards...." Jonouchi said sweatdropping a bit. Man that girl is dark. "Mai's deck...." he said thinking about it, "no, but certainly feminine. With those harpy ladies. But it was still a good deck."

Jonouchi looked at Akiko and sweetdropped, "Oh Yuugi? Nah he was just.... you know..... 'in the moment' at the time. Right Yug?" he said nervously. Usually people didn't noticed when he changed. She probably only noticed it innocently, but Jonouchi still felt nervous when she mentioned it. And sometimes when people are nervous they say stupid things. "Not a split personality at all," he said rubbing the back of his head.

"I never said that..." Akiko said confused at his statement. Unless it was a joke and she just missed it. She laughed a little and said, "I know a split personality when I see it. Well, ok, maybe not so much split personality, more like multiple personality disorder. A buddy of mine had it. He formed it when he was young and in turmoil. Nothing bad really- each one had a different mannerism though. None really bad."

"Well, don't you know a lot about the subject..."

"I'm going into the medical field, psychology is a requirement. I know it's a little early to start studying but heck, why not? I usually read up on things like that," she said just smiling and thinking nothing more about the fact. She didn't think that he had a split personality, but he didn't know him long enough to see.

"Yea....." Jonouchi said falling silent about the subject. He then grumbled and closed his eyes while crossing his arms, "Anzu took advantage of me. I didn't know anything about the game and that's when she wanted to play me. She didn't tell me what to do so she beat me easily." He then opened one of his eyes and smirked, "Now she doesn't want to duel me anymore. She'd rather beat Tristan now."

((Yay, I suck at coming up with last names ;-; I stole a name from an anime I used to watch.

Yes, the letter in this post is from Isis. I tried making it as much like Isis as possible, but like I said, I fail at being Isis. ;^;

I have nothing when it comes to Isis's personality. As I see it, she's probably mysterious and responsible. ))

Yuugi looked slightly nervous when Jounouchi brought up the possibility of him having a split personality without meaning anything by it. Surprisingly, Akiko mentioning his slight attitude change wasn't nearly as embarrassing as his best friend indirectly accusing him of having multiple personalities. "Yea." he said with a smile. "I was just serious for the moment. If I was serious all the time, it would be hard to have fun every once in awhile. Well, when I get older, I'll probably just inherit my grandfather's card shop and settle down a bit."

He laughed. "Well, Anzu does seem to enjoy playing games she can win." he explained. "I usually read up on dueling tactics, but sometimes I read historical literature. Dante's Inferno scared me a bit, but it was still pretty good."

Lerena was shaking. He said that she was weak. How could she deal with the fact this was true? What was she supposed to do? There was only one way this situation could get worse...and then it happened. "So you heard...everything. I warn you; you're not getting one-two sentences. I tell everything like a story so either take it or don't." she said bluntly. She crossed her arms and looked away from him. "He's my ex-boyfriend and present arch rival. His name is Justin Natsuki. His family and mine have hated each other for generations. I dumped Justin at Renoko's command, and a year later, he ordered me and Renoko to be killed." Lerena explained.

"Right now, Renoko and I only have two purposes in our lives according to our grandfather: to stop Justin from being successful and to bring about the downfall of the Natsuki Clan. My grandfather won't even look at me until I prove my worth by bringing down Justin. He thinks I'm weak for not being able to overpower a man in his thirties at the age of twelve. This same person has been in a mental institution more times than my father has been to prison. On the other hand, my grandfather is the reason I lack confidence in myself. We were close before Cobra made his move. It may have been his mother that truly pulled the strings even though Justin made it seem like he ordered the attack upon his own free will. She always hated me and one time I could have sworn she threatened to kill me." continued Lerena.

She braced herself to make a confession. She turned around to face Marik. "I've been denying the truth for awhile now, but I think it's time I come to terms with it. I think I love you..." confessed Lerena softly. "Justin knows about my feelings. He seems to be more like a pawn than a son in my opinion, but he'll likely tell his mother of my feelings. When she finds out, she might try to come after you. When the Helena Clan and the Natsuki Clan fight, we don't play fair and we take control of the others' weaknesses. To get to the Natsuki family, we hurt Justin, but to hurt the Helena Clan, the Natsuki family comes after my weaknesses. They don't care if my love interest returns my feelings, because as long as one exists, the Natsuki Clan will not play fair."

For a moment, Lerena was blushing, but it quickly faded as she continued her explanation. "The Natsuki Clan never played fair with me. They knew I was the weakest member of the Helena Clan so they set me up when I became ten years old. Back then, I was a hopeless romantic, just like any other girl. I was cheerful, innocent, hyper, kind, and fragile. Remember Kiba? He was manipulating me the entire time. All the love poetry, the promises...they were all a lie. He even lied to me about his last name. Kiba is Justin's brother. My mind went blank for what I'm guessing to be about three hours. It skips from Kiba dumping me to me waking up to Renoko apologizing for terrorizing me so many times before. Oh, that's right. Did you think my sister and I were always this close? Think again. Something Kiba did made Renoko change, but she refuses to tell me about it."

She paused for a brief moment to think. "The Helena Clan almost lost the war with the Natsuki Clan if it weren't for Renoko. If she didn't stop hating me, I probably would've died. That's right, a ten year old committing murder. I'm sure it was something along these lines. My other self probably remembers what happened, but that isn't really important. If I had died, the village 'prophecy' would not be able to be fulfilled. My village has been around since the earliest settlers in America, dating right back to the Native Americans. Enough about that though. I'm sure knowing about my village is irrelevant to your interests and I don't care to go into our religious beliefs either. I can be quite spiritual and religious and I'm especially not giving my love interest a chance to insult my beliefs."

Lerena closed her eyes and sighed. "I was always the weakest member of the Helena Clan, because of my innocence. I was the only member of the Helena Clan who wasn't considered tainted in the slightest, hence why the Natsuki Clan came after me. However, when I woke up to Renoko apologizing, I realized I no longer cared for anyone outside the Helena Clan. I couldn't understand it until I went to school the next day. No one insulted me for awhile. In fact, when people avoided me, it wasn't out of hatred anymore: it was out of fear. Although my heart was manipulated and ripped apart like it was nothing, I seemed to have gained something as a result: my sister's respect and trust. Whatever Kiba did, it darkened my heart and perhaps even twisted it. The only reason they consider me weak now is because of my physical strength. To compensate for my weakness, I have become quite good at handling guns thanks to Renoko and my father."

"If there's anything I can be thankful for, it's the fact I was born into such a wonderful family. That's why I won't forgive Justin for tearing me apart from my grandfather and giving my own uncle reason to harm me. No one messes with my family and the people I care for. No one, but Justin did. Cobra's own father sees him as a disgrace for hurting me, but that's all the proof I have that he still cares for me. It's true that I despise Yuugi with a passion, but I will not ignore my true enemy. Playing around with people is only a favorite pastime until Father finds a way to make me stronger. Justin's mother wrote a book about the Helena Clan and included other bits of information that would be useful in defeating us. However, my father's latest project is probably just about finished. It won't be long now until I have something to use against Justin."

That was when she saw it: a book on Justin's family. She took it off the shelf and looked at the author. Her mother had written this long before she was born! She looked inside and a note fell out of it. She knelt down and picked it up, reading its contents. When she saw her name, she quickly hid the note from Marik's view.

"To Lerena: I have made a devastating mistake. Do not worry about how this note got here. The details are not important. Justin will no doubt have shown himself by the time you read this. Lerena, you must speak with your sister urgently. You two have an important destiny to fulfill. You have to get me my Millennium Necklace back. It is in the wrong hands and since your rivalry with the Natsuki clan is the most personal, you should understand that Justin's mother is not fit to own it. I have nothing to offer you for getting me my Millennium Necklace back, but I know someone very special to you who better be grateful if you help get it back for me."

She turned pale, but folded the note in half and slid it inside her bra. Unless someone believed in sexual harassment, it wasn't likely someone would try to take the note from its safe compartment. "Heh heh, misplaced love letter." she lied, as her eyes turned red. "This book is on the history of the Natsuki family. My mother wrote it before I was born, proof that Justin and I were meant to be enemies from the very beginning. Very few copies of it exist I imagine." explained Lerena.

"Anyway, now you know who Justin is and a bunch of other crap you didn't ask for. Do you want to know anything else?" she asked. "There's something I'd like to know myself. Why are you in the library? When I heard that Justin's mother had published a book with countless information on the Helena Clan, I had to find the book and dispose of it. You wouldn't by any chance have found out about this book somehow, would you?" she asked, suspiciously raising an eyebrow. "If you did, it would be pretty interesting. No doubt anyone who knew of the existence of this book would speak about its whereabouts unless their life was threatened a considerable amount. I'm only suspicious, because the book on the Helena Clan is around this area. If you are interested in learning about the Helena Clan, tell me why." she said in a serious tone.

"I heard most of it. But I am most interested in Justin and his mother," he said seriously. "And yes, I did hear when he mentioned the Millennium Necklace, that's why I ask," he said deciding he could give more information later if he wished.

"Ah, so this is the Justin you mentioned before," he said remembering the class paper. It seemed both of them were very close to their families, only difference was that Lerena obeyed them and he didn't.

He was quite shocked when she out and said she loved him. He knew she liked him, but love? Something came over him and he grabbed her wrist, "Don't say love. You don't mean it. Don't think of it as love." He stared into her eyes, he didn't want to hear that. What was wrong with him? Why did he care? Letting her admit it would be all the better for him. But no. He didn't want her to feel that way. He let go of her wrist and turned around from her. He put his hands in his pockets. He slightly chuckled deviously, "I'd like to see them target me. Let them think you love me. I'm looking forward to meeting them." He smirked at the idea. "You made things a little easier for me. Thank you," he said in a dark voice. "They took something dear to our family. You heard. The Millennium Necklace. That is an artifact that belongs to my sister. They will pay dearly for trespassing and taking it." He turned back around to her, "Nothing they can do will bring me down. They can't control me. So consider the idea of them getting to me will hurt you. Because it won't."

It was still urking him about what she said and how he felt. Why did he care? What was he thinking? He shouldn't have acted the way he did. He was just using her and he felt as if it was wrong to lead her on like this? God damnit, something was wrong with him. He remembered her talking about Miyu's curse- but that wouldn't effect him since he had the Millennium Rod.

He watched her take a book off the self. Seemed that there was a book on the Natsuki Clan as well. Something dropped out of the book. Lerena hid it from him. He raised an eye brow from his narrowed eyes. "Just a misplaced love letter?" he said questionably, "seems like a strange place for it to be." Well, what ever it was it was not important to him. He was just suspicious in why she read it and put it back in the book. Or so he thought.

"No, there is nothing else I need to know," he said plainly. He was about to go off and leave but she asked him something. Normally he would just lie to her face and make up a story. He didn't though. He kept his back to her as he took his backpack off and took the Helena Clan book out. He threw it weakly on to the ground. "I found it," he said in a low voice. "You could say it was recommended reading to me," he said smirking a bit. "However, my reasons for reading it are my own. I'm sorry I am not as open as you are. Funny how two people with shitty pasts can act differently. Well, not so differently really." He growled a little under his breath. Why was he talking to her?!

"Actually, there is one thing I would like to ask you," he said turning around to face her. "How can you be so sure about your prophecy? People tell you you must fulfill it but I find that to be a load of croc unless you are willing to fulfill it yourself. You do not want to be controlled, then don't be controlled by anyone- including your family. They can still be close to you, but ultimately you do what YOU want to do. I know you don't want to hear insults about your beliefs, but these are not insults, these are points for you to think about," he said opening up again. After he finished he narrowed his eyes a bit, why was he talking to her like he cared!? He didn't care, he knew he didn't care. And yet he was here talking to her and giving advice like he was her god damn friend. Damn, he couldn't be becoming soft now could he? He's been in this stupid high school for too long.

"Yea I hear you there," she said to Yuugi. Who wanted t be serious all the time? She was too much of a goof ball to be so serious all the time. Besides, with all the things she's gone through, she had to keep a more optimistic and fun outlook on things. She had to keep her spirits up or she really would be sick all the time.

"Oh really?" she said smiling. "A card shop huh? That's really cool! God my one cousin would love to go there. He collect all types of cards. Doesn't play them, just collects. Me? I play. Like I said before, duel monsters mainly. I Like Magic the Gathering as well but I haven't played that in ages. I think I actually gave those cards to a different cousin because he was really getting into the game and needed a deck. But I like Duel Monsters too much to give those away!" She smiled and looked down a bit, "Your Grandpa huh? Sounds like you're really close to him. I was close to my Grandpa too. He was the best," she said but discontinued the conversation about it. She thought it would be weird if she mentioned he was dead and that she was really sad as a child. She was still sad about it, she loved her Grammpy a lot. She didn't want to ruin a good moment so she changed subjects.

"Yea, Daunte's Inferno kinda creeped me out! But the underlining meaning was quite beautiful. Heh, my Grandma wanted to get me to learn enough Italian so I could read it in that. I know a good amount but not enough to read it!" she laughed a bit. "What kind of historical literature? Ancient? BC? AD? Which time frame or just generally?" she asked Yuugi. "Now as for me," she said lifting her finger up, she generally was a gestural person, she was part Italian afterall, "if there is anything historical I like, it's ancient art. Greek, Egyptian, Etruscian, and a little bit Stone age- but not as much." She then made a small face, "Not so much Roman though, since they stole a lot of their style from the Greeks."

"Yea, Anzu does seem to like games she can win at," he said crossing his arms. "But that's ok I guess," he added. He really had nothing against Anzu, though he wished he could see her a bit more. Understandable since she did have a job to go to. He remembered when Yuugi was head over heels for the girl. Most of them could tell. He wasn't sure what happened between the two. Yuugi didn't seem all into her anymore. He didn't hear of any fight.

"How are you and Anzu anyway Yuugi? I haven't seen her in a while- have you?" he asked as he stretched a little and put his hands behind his head. He didn't want to out and ask him in case something bad did happen between the two. He couldn't imagine it though. What he wanted to know was if Yuugi did tell her and she said no? Did she say yes? Did he even say anything? Did nobody tell him anything?! He was just also naturally curious being that there has been a lack of her presence and Yuugi didn't constantly mention her all the time. He still mentioned her though, so what happened?

Akiko just listened to what Jonouchi said and stayed quiet. She didn't know who Anzu was so she could contribute to the conversation. Suddenly however, her head spun to the side to look behind her. She thought she hear someone whispering behind her. She looked around trying to see if anyone was walking away- was someone playing a trick on her? She couldn't make out what the words were, it just sounded like a whisper and a gust of wind combined. She shrugged it off, must of been her imagination.

[[the letter was fine. Sounds like something Isis would do since she has the Necklace. If we ever need to play her I can. I played her once, she's rather quiet and serious. And wise. I could play her since her and Marik could argue with one another. I mean, only if we decide to bring her into the story]]

((Okay, then. When it's time to bring Isis into the story, you play her. Hearing her argue with Marik should be quite amusing. She should come into the story when I begin playing as Justin's mother. Unfortunately, I've barely given thought to her character and I haven't even given her a name. Maybe something like Beth, or Ruth to be ironic.))

Lerena stared back into his eyes, then looked away. They were a beautiful shade of lavender, but somehow he seemed shocked. Why did he grab her wrist like that? What had come over her? Why did she confess so openly? It was the honest truth and somehow she wanted to make him see that, but he seemed uninterested in her feelings of romance. She didn't confess to him in the hopes he returned her feelings; she just wanted him to be aware of why they would target him. That dark voice kind of caught her off guard, almost as if this was a sign he was definitely hiding something. Why did she feel the need to protect him though? Such foolish feelings of love...why care? He was manipulating her and she knew that, yet she confided in him her entire past.

"Then am I to assume you have a Millennium Item too then?" she asked before she could stop herself. Was this Darla? No, it was a true suspicion that he may also own an item. Should she be afraid? She wasn't sure, but her feelings were taunting her, playing with her, tormenting her, and grabbing for control over her. His family is or was immune to Miyu's Curse so if he truly was manipulating her, Miyu would not punish him. Something about this fact didn't scare her though, because somehow she felt protected, and she felt a pinch of confidence returning to her. She felt confident that Marik could not hurt her, whether it be because of Darla or her sister.

This confidence in herself felt great, but why did she feel this way? "I must agree, but I hope you realize that Justin's mother is ruthless. Unless you prove to be even more cruel than she is, you might struggle against her. I do think you're capable of beating her though. When she has power, she gets cocky and this is her weakness. Her guard is often let down. I'd go after her myself, but my fight is against Justin, and it seems that his mother has given you reason to expose her for what she is: a weak coward. Have fun taking her down for me."

Her eyes widened when he revealed the Helena Clan book as she knelt down to pick it up. "Heh. I have my reasons for opening up, but you have no idea how easily my sister and I can obtain information. Justin knows more than he's told me, and believe me, I will find out what that is. Although, if you don't tell me what your reasons are for reading it, I'll just make up a lie to believe. After all, I absolutely detest people hiding things from me. A girl does need to feel satisfied every once in awhile, doesn't she?" she asked with a soft smile.

The next thing Marik said almost made Lerena wonder if he cared. No, he didn't care! No one outside the Helena Clan could accept her! She was a monster and she was going to make this sick prophecy come to life. He was manipulating her. Her heart made her fall in love with someone else that would hurt her and she wouldn't accept it. "They didn't tell me I had to fulfill it. They said I had a choice, but I was encouraged to accept my fate. Fate? You make your own fate, but guess what? After Cobra gave me these scars and my grandfather started to give me the cold shoulder, it was then I promised myself to fulfill this prophecy. I will become stronger and make something of myself. That day where Cobra scarred me; I was supposed to die on that day, but I was given a second chance to live."

She smirked darkly. "I am not being controlled. I am true to myself and my own fate. I want to fulfill this prophecy, because it promises me great power. However, like all prophecies, there are surely trials that follow before it is fulfilled. My family does not control me; I choose to listen to them, because they are the only people who have accepted me. Everyone else sees me as a monster, a demon. If you think I have not thought about these points, you're wrong. That day, I had all the time in the world to decide whether I would fulfill this prophecy or decline it."

"Marik. Why are you so quick to judge my emotions? I know them well, and you, who has never experienced feelings of love, can clearly deny what I have told you? You don't even know what it feels like to be in love so how would you know if it's a lie? I know you don't want to hear about it, but believe me, I don't like this fact any more than you do. If it was my choice, I'd rather only have feelings for you as a friend. Unfortunately, I happen to be female so my emotions take control of me more than yours." Lerena added. "We'll probably see each other again, because both of us want revenge on the Natsuki Clan."

Lerena decided not to mention to Marik that she had to get the Millennium Necklace back as his sister asked. If returning the Necklace to his sister would be proof of her feelings, then so be it. Why did she particularly care? All she wanted was for the Necklace to leave the hands of Justin's mother. Since she didn't particular care for having visions of the future, she'd probably just return the Necklace to his sister anyway. She had no use for it. Something about Marik seemed different to her now though. He seemed powerful, almost able to get anything he desired and with the very mindset that he'd go to any lengths to get it. He truly was worthy to take down Justin's mother.

Just what would happen to her though? He said all this stuff about her having free will and yet she felt like Marik could control her. Why? Was this feeling to be taken seriously or just metaphorically in the sense she was in love? How could Marik have taken her heart in a mere three and a half hours so far? That was impossible. Lerena wasn't that weak, but what if she was letting herself become soft? She wasn't supposed to fall in love with any man. No one outside the Helena Clan understood her and yet he seemed able to. Who was this man and what was he capable of? If he was reading the Helena Clan book, was he worthy of being loved or worthy of being an enemy? If she wanted to know, she'd have to let time unfold itself.

"I tried calling her once, but she didn't answer." replied Yuugi. He smiled at Akiko. "I love Duel Monsters. It's the only reason I was able to win the Duelist Kingdom tournament." He decided he wouldn't mention getting close to Yami or the trials he had to overcome in order to save his grandpa. It also probably wouldn't be necessary to mention that Jounouchi became better at dueling by being determined to save his sister's eyesight.

"I like historical literature in general, but I prefer Egyptian history. The only languages I'd like to study are English and Egyptian. I have already mastered Japanese, but I bet Jounouchi still has trouble with it." he joked playfully.

Yuugi noticed Akiko looking to the side, almost as if she thought someone had said something about her. No one was talking about Akiko and no one even said her name. "Um, excuse me. Is something wrong, Akiko?" he asked, biting out of his sandwich. His voice was obviously filled with concern and a desire to aid his new friend if she was having problems.

"You assume correctly," he said though he did not tell her which one he possessed. At this point there was no point in trying to hide the fact that he held an item. "I don't fear his mother at all. In fact, she should be the one to worry. I'm sure by now she would have used the item. The item allows one to see the future. And she will know that I will be taking that item back. And as for cruel, perhaps," he said ending in a devious smirk. "But what's more important is that I am far more stronger then her," he added.

Damn, why did he have to go and open his mouth? "As long as you know what you're doing," he said uncaringly simply wanting to end the discussion on fate and prophecies.

"If you have to tell yourself the lie then do so. You're not my mother, I don't have to tell you everything," he said getting aggravated about the situation and his previous reactions. It wasn't like him, by now he would have just walked off and ignored her but he didn't. He was becoming very defensive.

"Because love is an illusion, Lerena," he said defensively. "You're a smart girl, you should realize this. Love is unimportant in survival," he added. He didn't know what to say in defense of her claim he's never felt love before. It was true, he hasn't. But it didn't matter to him. Who cared? He was perfectly fine without it. And yet he was still he, giving a damn about her opinions and her. He was fed up with how he felt, it was sickening him,

"Look, let's make something very clear," he growled angrily while pointing at her, "I don't need love and I don't need friends. All I need is myself and my goals. You're better off turning those emotions off because it's never going to happen. You're going to get hurt if you continue this," he said and froze when he mentioned her getting hurt. WHY DID HE CARE!? GOD DAMNIT! Marik stopped pointing at her. He looked quite agitated with himself, that much was apparent. He didn't even bother finishing his sentence. He just swung around and walked away from her. What was with this girl? He's never opened up to anyone, never had a discussions with someone, and certainly never found himself listening and giving a damn about somebody else.

He walked down the hallway, he had to go somewhere were she wouldn't follow him. Not that she would, he probably upset her from what he last said. And that bothered him to, when he was starting to tell her off. "<********>" he mumbled as he reached the men's bathroom. He swung the door open letting it slam into the wall. "If anyone is in here get the hell out! Use another bathroom!" he yelled but nobody responded. He checked all the stalls to see he was alone. He locked the door to insure he could be alone. God he just needed a moment to think about what happened.

He was opening up to her which he didn't like, and then he acted like a child and stormed out- partially telling her off which he also didn't like. "<********>" he mumbled again under his breath. She had to have been doing something to him, some type of control over him. He wouldn't admit to himself that he cared about what happened to her, he just found himself interested in her past. Even that wasn't like him. "She said she was interested in black magic...." he said trying to logically come up with why he acted as he did. "No, even so nothing can affect me. Not while I have the Millennium Rod," he said knowing it couldn't be that. He waited a few minutes before he even considered leaving. He had to calm his mind- collect his thoughts.

Damn it, why couldn't he just steal the puzzle from the twerp and be on his way? Damn rules. This whole situation made him hate the Pharaoh and his host more so. He wasn't even mad at Lerena. He was mad at himself.

"So like....." Jonouchi said lowly trying to think of the best way to ask. He would have just out and asked him if Akiko wasn't there, but it was kinda rude to. Then again, she didn't even know who she was. "I mean, cause you haven't been talking about her a lot recently. I was just wondering if.... you know....." he said hoping Yuugi would get the rest of the sentence. Seeing that he didn't Jonouchi just decided to finish it for him, "Are you still interested? Did you say anything?" he said in a lower voice. But apparently Akiko didn't even notice, she was too preoccupied with something.

"I know a few languages, including English, Japanese, Italian, a good amount of Latin, and a little bit of Spanish," she said happily.

"Yea I heard someone whisper," she said to Yuugi. "Did anybody past behind me Yuugi? You would have seen right?" she asked pointing behind her.

"I didn't hear anything, Akiko," Jonouchi added.

"It felt like they were right there. I thought someone snuck up behind me," she said still peeking behind her. "Maybe I just misheard it," she said seeing that nobody was there. She heard it again but it was very distant. She froze for a second, a little spooked. She looked down at the table for a while, though she didn't even notice.

"Hey..... what are you doing?" Jonouchi asked as he saw her not move for almost a minute.

"Do those tvs work?" Akiko said suddenly.

"Huh wha?" Jonouchi said. He looked at the mini tvs that were in the lunch room. There was two in the room, they happened to be near one. "Yea, why?"

"Turn on the news......" Akiko said. She was confused why she said it at first herself. She just..... had a feeling. It was like an impulse she couldn't control. "I just have a bad feeling," she said trying to explain to them and herself why she said to do it.

Jonouchi did so and changed the channel to the news. He turned up the volume and sat back.

They were showing breaking news from the hospital. A man was brought to Domino City Hospital with a mysterious condition. They said that he had been acting strange and psychotic in the streets. The man made his way to an apartment balcony and continued his erratic behavior. Behavior such as screaming at the top of his lungs strange words and phrases. Sometimes just screaming in general. One word officials say that he continued to scream was 'eye'. The man was hospitalized not only for his behavior but because he had strange laserations all over his body and what it seemed to be as burn scars. Warts were also randomly on his body. He was brought into intensive care and his condition and health are unknown.

Jonouchi watched but looked back at Akiko, "How did you know about this?"

Akiko watched in disbelievement. She couldn't have said to watch it because of this. "I-I didn't," she said lowly. She still didn't know why she suddenly said to say it. "I just had a bad feeling. I dunno," she said lowly. She reached into her bag and brought out her inhailer, taking a breath from it. She felt horribly nervous and the start of not being able to breath. However she was fine since she prevented any weezing from her inhailer.

"Well, maybe it was women's intuition or something," Jonouchi said.

[[I don't know how you are with strong language. I can edited it if you like or not do it anymore. I was just in the moment XD

I can end lunch period on my next post if you like.

I'm not sure about names for her, but Carmela is a neat name. I dunno, I just thought about that name when I thought about her.]]

((You're asking me how I feel about language?

AH, ********! Firefox gave me a lot of ******** trouble just to post this. Does this answer your question? XD

I hope you don't mind if Lerena speaks with Darla. If you do mind, let me know and I'll change my post.

I love this song too much, so I had to have Darla sing it. XP It seemed to fit the moment anyway: Ankoku no Tsubasa

Songs motivate Lerena to do things, so that's why Darla is singing to her; to give her the strength to ignore her emotions, become more confident in herself, to realize her talents, and 'become reborn'. There's no magic to it in case you're wondering. xD The song has a psychological effect on Lerena. There's a signal her heart gives to the brain to tell her how to react to certain songs when certain people sing them. For example, the songs that Renoko sings has no effect unless the song has a lighter theme. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, you'll understand when you read the lyrics to the song that Renoko sang. Of course, I only use relevant and helpful lyrics.

I also combined the lyrics with three other songs: Yami no Baroque, Voice in the Dark, and
Return to the Sea

The two girls with microphones in "Voice in the Dark" and 'Yami no Baroque" inspired the creation of the Demonic Sisters.

Renoko sings Star Jewel, Ever Blue, Piece of Love, and Koi wa Nan Darou

She'd normally sing darker songs, but Lerena is immune to the dark songs she sings, therefore she has to sing lighter songs like this to bring her back to her previous state of mind.))

Her eyes widened. No one had ever resisted her charm before. She ran out of the library and towards the girl's bathroom. "That fool!" she growled. "If anyone's in here, leave or I'll cut all of your throats!" she ordered. A couple girls who were chatting and giggling screamed at the sight of Lerena and fled from the bathroom. She cackled and chose a stall. When she locked the door on her bathroom stall, she let out a loud scream. She breathed heavily and fell to her knees. Voices echoed in the distance.

"Lerena isn't good enough, is she? She's such a weakling."

"She says she is in love, but she hurt all those other men. She doesn't deserve to have love. Lerena is lying herself; she hates men and every single one on the planet."

"Haha! She should be punished!"

Laughs were soft, and then became louder and more like cackles, then like nails on a chalkboard. "Stop! Stop it! I am in love! I want him!" The laughs stopped, but then a voice managed to reply to her.

"Heh heh, Lerena. Do you really think you can become powerful? Even if you did, it's a true fact that you hurt everyone. You hurt your enemies, your family, and if you had a boyfriend, you'd hurt him too! You're evil, a witch. All men are inferior to your power? How sexist can you be?" said the voice with a soft cackle. "You'll hurt Renoko eventually. She'll leave you and you will have no one. Your parents have already abandoned you. They don't think you deserve to be trusted."

"No! It isn't true!" Lerena said, struggling to stand. She punched a wall in her stall and screamed. "Get away from me! I belong with the Helena Clan!"

Then it was Darla who replied to her. The words came out of her own mouth, but Darla was communicating with her! "Look, Mistress; He's right. It's all an illusion. Toss away these 'feelings' you have and become one with me. I can make you stronger and I can defeat Justin. That no good son of a b***h hurt you. My name is Darla and I can help you be reborn. The only one you truly need is Renoko. Only she has fully accepted you. It will be her that I allow you to care for. Marik? Well, even I can't help but find him to be attractive and a worthy lover. However, that's only because my body has its urges. While I am in a human body, yours that is, I will feel pathetic emotions. My dear, allow me to take over you and duel in your place."

Lerena Leigh Helena threw her head back and cackled. "Why are you here, Darla? What purpose do you have for opening your mouth to speak with me? I'm suffering, Darla, but it isn't because of Marik. I should've never fallen in love again! He's right about one thing: I should turn these emotions off." She removed her watch and pulled up a sleeve to reveal a scar left by Cobra. "No...it's impossible! Hallucinations...do I have Miyu's Curse?" Bugs were crawling underneath her skin and she felt them.

"No. It's me. I'm making you hallucinate, Mistress. I can't control it, but something in our brain is triggering your hallucinations. Since I found a way to communicate with you last night in your dreams, I had to speak with you when you were truly alone and no one could bother you. However, there's a consequence to me being able to talk to you; hallucinations and schizophrenia. There's a part of your past that you are missing, Love, but you are not to know these until Isis receives the Millennium Necklace again. When she puts it back on, she might see a vision of your past life. Mistress, you are not being neglected by your parents. We have spoken on numerous occasions when you were resting peacefully. Renoko does not know this however." Darla explained.

"You may duel in my place, Darla. Help me, please!" pleaded Lerena.

Darla began to sing a familiar tune. She closed her eyes and shifted her weight to one leg. "If you want that precious life, then force yourself to bloom in this hand. The door to the world of darkness will now open. Once again, leave everything to fate and be reborn. Now. I'll make you forget many things along with your pure devotional love. It's okay not to worry about someone else and hurt your own heart." sang Darla in a dark, seductive voice. "Voice in the Dark! It stops all love, and becomes a chain with no shape. Throw away these 'feelings' you have. A baroque that shuts away light becomes beautiful noise. Together with us, head towards the future whispered of in our dark trap. The constellations that decide fate can be changed." As Darla ceased singing, she cackled evilly.

"Oh..." said Lerena softly as she willed away her feelings of love. Her expression darkened and became more vengeful as she left the bathroom. The tears she was holding back dried up and her ability to cry died along with some of her emotions.

"Sister! I finally found you." Renoko ran up to her sister. They were outside the men's room since it was on the way to the lunchroom. "I need to warn you about Marik. Justin may not be your enemy; he may be an ally. Listen, Lerena, he still retains feelings for you, but...he's afraid you're in love with the wrong person. Marik is in possession of the Millennium Rod."

She smirked, and then put a hand on her hip. "Love? Why need it? Why even desire it? It's all a foolish lie. Look, Renoko, we have a mission to fulfill. He told me to throw away my feelings and I did." Lerena flipped her hair and glared. "No one has ever resisted my charm like that before. He has no idea what he's missing."

"Wasn't it Darla who told you to throw away your feelings? She didn't sing that dark song to you, did she? You know how you are with songs!" lectured Renoko, seeing through Lerena's game.

"Heh. They both did, but that's beside the point. Yes, she sang the song, but it made me remember my duty. I'm glad she sang that song to me. Love makes me weak." Lerena remarked. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to eat something or I'll have to resort to eating my own flesh and drinking my own blood."

"I don't want to hear that from you! Love defines who you are as a person, Lerena. If you cast away your feelings of love, you're not you anymore."

"Love is petty. I don't want to hear any more on this subject from you or anyone else." She began to walk towards the cafeteria, but Renoko grabbed her hand.

"What about our duel with the Pharaoh? You shouldn't duel him like this. Lerena, please...love makes you stronger."

Lerena cackled. "I'm not Lerena, at least, not the Lerena you knew. I cast away my weak side to become stronger."

"I liked the old Lerena. You can't suppress your feelings for Marik forever."

"Didn't you want this, Sister? If Marik has the ability to control me, then wouldn't you rather I not love him?"

"Don't let anyone control you! Darla has the ability to control you if you let her. Tell me, did Marik tell you to lose your emotions with the help of Darla?"

"No, I made the choice on my own. Why are you lecturing me about this? I doubt he cares how I do it as long as it happens."

"Okay, fine, you left me with no choice." said Renoko with a sigh. She prepared herself to sing. Her voice was mature and powerful, making it obvious that she meant to restore Lerena to normal. "Like a jeweled star that had been separated from them I'd believe in the bonds called, 'Fate.' I'm looking for that lost item of mine as my heart aches. Engulfed in the green rain, I continue singing my song for you. If a newly born morning were to come I'd want to live the same life again. We'd meet again by fate and everything would become jeweled, and I'd believe in miracles. I've gotten this far on my own, so I must be strong." Her arm lifted into the air, then moved to be outstretched in front of her. As she sang, her arm came up to touch her heart, then was held up as if she didn't care. "

To protect the future, now I gather power for the people and places I should be loving. If I could possibly pass to you my feelings well, then now would the place, with you by my side. No matter how difficult times may be at times, continue to protect them. My heart that's bewildered by love shakes and shakes, so much that it hurts. It's as if he was my true beloved. The reason for my tear's heating up is a piece of love from fate. If I showed you everything, would you steal my heart away? I will surely continue to love that person, until I can give all of my heart to him. I won"t stop running once I've begun. I won"t stop loving him. This is no lie." She pointed at Lerena and ceased singing, but her expression didn't change. She looked like Darla! What was this?

"Are you quite finished, Renoko?" came Darla's voice. "I can't be affected by your songs, so I came out as a defense measure so you wouldn't reverse the effects on Lerena. She lacks the skills needed to beat the Pharaoh, so I will duel in her place. I hope you don't mind." she said with a snicker.

"I do mind actually. Do not insult my sister's dueling. She's better than you think she is!" threatened Renoko.

She snickered mischievously. "My effects will eventually wear off, Renoko. They can't last forever. I assume they'll last until the end of the duel with the Pharaoh. Tell me the status on Father's gift for us."

"It's finished. We just need to test it out. After we obtain the Millennium Puzzle from Yuugi, Father can study its origins; that is, how it was created." answered Renoko.

"Renoko, I may not be the same as your sister, but Lerena and I are still one and the same. As long as we understand each other's goals, we can work together. My goal is to fulfill the prophecy. Unless Lerena becomes stronger any time soon, I have my doubts that she can fulfill the prophecy without my help." Darla explained.

"Fine. I'll accept your assistance in defeating the Pharaoh. What reason do you have for making Lerena close off her emotions?"

"Lerena has a mission to fulfill outside of her prophecies, as do you. If her emotions get in the way, she cannot fulfill that mission." Darla pulled out the piece of paper that Lerena found out of her breasts and handed it to Renoko.

Renoko looked at it and her eyes widened. "That's impossible! This has to be a prank!" she said.

"Lerena told Marik it was a love letter. I'm not sure if he believed it actually was. It's not my concern though. Justin's mother is a threat as long as she holds the Millennium Necklace and we need to make sure we take it from her."

"Won't Marik be trying to get it himself though?"

"Of course he'll be trying to get it! He doesn't know where the Natsuki Clan lives though. Although, he could just probe Justin's mind to figure it out."

"That might actually be amusing to see."

"Shut up! Whether or not we get the Millennium Necklace back or he does, Marik's sister will likely get a vision when she puts the Necklace back on. It might be a vision of us, Lerena's past life, anything. Whatever the vision, I'm sure we'll be in it."

"That would annoy Marik no doubt." Renoko said with a snicker.

"Any idea what Father has in store for us?"

"Customized weapons probably." answered Renoko. "You'll probably get a pair of guns while I'll get a glaive or something. I'm sure it'll make us powerful."

"Good." said Darla. "Ah. I can't wait to see the Pharaoh's face when he loses. Unlike Lerena, I have never lost a duel. Although, I haven't had many chances to come out so I haven't had but about five duels in my lifetime. It is such a shame. Any strategies in mind?"

"We go for his partner Jounouchi. He's the weakest link I hear."

"Ah. Jounouchi's tough. He may be a weak duelist, but he's a tough fighter in body and spirit. He never gives up in the face of darkness. Though he's a weak duelist, he's extremely lucky in his duels."

"He won't be in this one. No bond is stronger than the bond between sisters. That's why I wanted Lerena, not you."

"I am the same as her, Renoko dear. We're the ultimate team. Now, please, join me for lunch. We can finish this discussion over tea."

"Alright..." said Renoko softly.

"Partner, can you give me control so I may speak with your friend?" Atemu asked with a smile. "There's something I'd like to speak to her about."

Yuugi nodded. The Millennium Puzzle glowed and Atemu took full control.

"Jounouchi, I don't think it was just women's intuition. Akiko, I think you are developing a very powerful gift. The fact you wish to become a nurse means that this power will be able to save a lot of lives. Provided that you are not becoming schizophrenic, the whispers you heard earlier may signify that you are being called to do something. It may be like in the movies where whispering means you have a quest to fulfill." explained Atemu. "You may wish to look into why you heard these whispers and see a fortune-teller. They tend to be good at understanding these things."

He smiled at her, but the smile didn't last long as he acknowledged the man's condition. "It is unfortunate that this man has to suffer. I am sure he is an innocent life and a good person." Atemu remarked.

[[FFFFFF XD haha, I just wanted to make sure.

Oooo, music X3
The reason I made Akiko so sickly was because of this song: Infected from the movie 'Repo! The Genetic Opera' OMFG you would love this movie (if you haven't seen it already). I'm completely obsessed with it! This version Akiko's yami is going to be based off of Blind Mag from the story. She sings many songs, this being one of my favorites: Chromaggia (all in Italian except the ending). That's the voice of Sarah Brightman D: she's amazing!

Oh and have you heard of the group 'Within Temptation'? I think you would like them. Aquarius

Eventually I'll get Akiko singing as well, just not now. Does all singing affect Lerena or just from Renoko and Darla?]]

Akiko's eyes widened for a second as he listened to Yuugi. He sounded like he did before. "A gift? Nah. I mean.... I don't really believe in supernatural gifts like that. A nice thought but no," she said giving a quirky smile. She didn't believe in anything supernatural or spiritual, she was more of a woman of science. Logic explained life's questions, not a made up magical solution that couldn't be proven.

"Oh god no," she said with her eyes closed and waving both hands in front of her childishly, "there's no way I could be schizophrenic. I would need to have a biological factor as well as a triggering moment. It doesn't run in my family so there is no way I could ever have it. I read up about it.."

"Kinda random to read up about schizophrenia," Jonouchi added.

"Not really. It's a very popular condition even if only 1% of the world population suffers from it," she added. Although she didn't meantion that the reason she decided to read about it was after she started having weird, almost trippy dreams. It happened during the last few days in her old house. When she moved, the dreams stopped.

"Oh, I did not know that," Jonouchi said almost interested in learning something new.

Perhaps he was just telling her this because he wanted to make her feel better? No, he seemed serious about this. She looked directly into his eyes, looking for something. Did he actually have a split personality? It was just so weird that Jonouchi came out and said that. She couldn't make that judgement right away, she only knew this kid for a while now. But he seemed so different now, and it bothered her. She examined his eyes for a while before looking and and shaking her head a bit, "Nah, fortune-tellers are scam artists. They pull information from you and then improvise," she said waving off the idea.

She looked back at the tv, what a horrible thing that was happening to this man. She saw a clip of the video they were reshooting, it was when they were bringing the man into the hospital on a gerny (sp?). She looked closely, he did infact have horrible markings on his body. "How horrible. It looks like he was burnt.... or something....." she said squinting trying to see more of it. "I hope they could help him," she said taking a sip of water.

The bell rang ending lunch period. Akiko looked up at the clock to confirm it was in fact time to leave. "Well, lunch is over," she said in a low voice. She started packing up her things and stood up. "Well, I'll see you two after school. And in the next few classes I guess," she said nodding and walking off to her next class. She couldn't get the image of Yuugi's eyes out of her head. She wished she looked at them before and took note. Maybe then she could have figured him out. But as far as she knew, there was nothing to think about.

Marik stared at himself for a while. Ok, he would forget about using her to get to the Pharaoh. If they win that duel today, then he'll just challenge her and take the item. End of story. If they don't win, he'll just go back to his usual scheming and figure it out himself. He didn't know what was coming over him, but he didn't want it to happen again. He unlocked the bathroom and left. Upon leaving, he saw Justin walking toward him.

He did not say anything to him, nor did he do anything- not yet. No, he would get him when he was alone. He gave him a look though, Marik's eyes were like ones of a mad dog. He was coming after him, more importantly his mother. And anyone who stood in his way would suffer by his hands. He was especially heated today, something was eating away at his sanity. He wanted to break and start snapping necks. His stomach was full of hate and anger. He had to feel this way to forget about what happened. He passed by Justin, cursing in his mind. He walked to his next classing, hoping to stay clear of Lerena. His eyes were serious and strict with a hint of anger in them. He just wanted what he came for and then he would leave.

((I hope you don't mind if I skip to the duel. Classes are getting boring and I have some interesting dialogue. Skip the duel in your next post. This is basically Atemu trying to convince the Demonic Sisters to change their evil ways and call off the duel. As you can see, he failed to convince either of them.

I wanted them to taunt Jounouchi and Atemu during the duel, but I figured I'd get that out of the way now so the duel can be reasonably normal. Trash-talkers tend to lose duels against Atemu XD!

Oh, yes, I love Within Temptation. I have Aquarius in my playlist.

Other people can affect Lerena, but strangers off the streets typically do not. Atemu's singing might affect her, but good luck convincing him to sing. Marik's singing would definitely affect her, but he wouldn't ever sing to my knowledge. Akiko's singing would affect Lerena too. With Jounouchi, it depends what song he sings.

HAHA! LOL. Damn. I just realized that the main character from 5D's has the same first two letters as Yuugi. I typed his name once when I was typing this post xD! I guess that's because I picture him lecturing the Demonic Sisters rather than Atemu or Yuugi.

I had Atemu say something he should've said to Kaiba in the anime XD! HAHA.

If you summarize the duel, Renoko is going after Jounouchi and Lerena is going after Atemu. Lerena's strategy is to burn away Atemu's life points while Renoko's strategy is to make Jounouchi discard from his hand and deck.))

After classes ended, Darla and Renoko got their duel disks and decks, then walked to their designated meeting place. "Ready, Darla?" asked Renoko.

"Why, yes, Sister." said Darla with a smirk.

He looked around for the Demonic Sisters. When he found them, Atemu walked a few meters past the Demonic Sisters and then turned around. This should be a reasonable distance to stand at. Now he just had to wait for Jounouchi. "Tell me, Lerena, Renoko, why are you two going after my Millennium Puzzle? Are you working for anyone?"

"Are we? No. The Demonic Sisters work alone. Now, where's your dueling partner? If he's late, we may have to start the duel without him." said Darla sarcastically. She eyed Renoko with a smirk and then turned back to look at Atemu.

"He's coming." said Atemu with a sigh. The way Lerena was acting was strange, almost unlike her. Lerena did bad things, but she seemed different now. "Lerena, how come you're acting differently?" he asked.

"Her? What about you, Yuugi? I've never seen someone so curious in my life." interrupted Renoko.

"My personality change is not your concern." Darla answered coldly. "I have cast away my feelings of love so I can become stronger."

"You have what?! Lerena, this is not a good idea! Who told you to do this?!"

She closed her eyes and sighed. "Would you shut up?!" she asked before opening them again. "My sister has already suppressed her feelings of love. Now it is my turn!"

"I don't want to have to duel either of you with circumstances like this." said Atemu. "I'm sure you two are good people who have just been severely hurt."

"Hurt? Don't make me laugh. It is my sister who has suffered. It is my duty to protect her. You would never understand, Yuugi." said Renoko. If she didn't want the secret of the Millennium Puzzle to be exposed, she had to address the Pharaoh as Yuugi. She pointed at Atemu and glared. "I was only hurt severely a grand total of two times. I have recovered from them. Don't look at us like you know our entire lives! You who has never suffered can go to Hell!"

Darla smirked at Renoko, than faced Atemu. "It is true that I have suffered, but I will become stronger soon enough." she said with a snicker. "I am not a good person, Yuugi. I have hurt many people and I have made them suffer." she said darkly. "If you think that I need to be in 'love' then you're wrong! No one can love a person like me, because I only hurt the ones I love! Even the Helena Clan has suffered somewhat because of me. They're blessed because I exist, but at the same time, they must put up with all my weaknesses and all my needs." Darla smirked evilly and then traced along the place where her scar was underneath her watch. "It is not love that I seek, but power, dear Yuugi. That is simply why I wished it away. My pleads were heard and I was helped immediately." she said with a cruel chuckle.

"You think you've been helped?! You are a fool! The right person can make love pleasurable and the right person will never harm you!"

"You're wrong! Everyone I have ever loved has harmed me and you think you understand that? You don't understand what it's like to suffer!"

The wind blew everyone's hair and Darla heard a few phrases being communicated to her, but in truth, she was certain it was her schizophrenia acting up.

"I hate you for your life and I hate you for being the person responsible for what Marik went through! Although," Darla said with a cruel smirk, "I hate you the most purely for being against our Will. I love hating people so it always makes things better when I have a reason to hate people more. Let's see, I hate you for your friends too. Anyway, enough about why I hate you, anything else you wish to discuss?"

"Lerena, was it Marik who hurt you?" asked Atemu calmly.

She broke out into a loud cackle, before it gradually ceased. "You truly are pathetic, but since you asked, you deserve a reply. He said I was better off turning off my feelings of love for him. I do not mind getting hurt, but I still hope they never return." explained Darla.

Atemu sighed. "Suppressing your love for someone could have negative effects."

"Shut up! I don't want to hear you nagging my sister anymore!" she said darkly. "Can we please just begin the damn duel?!" Renoko asked angrily.

Kaiba looked for the Demonic Sisters and Yuugi. He found them in an open area waiting for that second rate duelist to arrive. Renoko seemed to be angry at Yuugi. Knowing Yuugi, he probably just gave the two a nice speech. Renoko protecting her sister like that reminded him of how he protected Mokuba, but whatever. "I agree with Renoko. If the mutt isn't going to show up, just start the duel!"

Atemu scowled at Kaiba. "Jounouchi will show up, Kaiba! He just has some things he has to do!"

"Oh? He does? It wouldn't surprise me if one of those things were too obscene to mention."

"Shut up, Kaiba!"

"I'm just here to watch the duel." remarked Kaiba. "The longer I have to wait, the more impatient I'll become."

"You heard Kaiba, Yuugi. He'll become impatient if he has to wait any longer. Should we start the duel in this case?"

"I've had enough with all three of you being obnoxious and stuck-up!" said Atemu. "We'll begin the duel when Jounouchi gets here! Now shut up and begin waiting!" he ordered.

Darla pointed at her heart suggestively with a pointer finger. "It really does hurt." she added with a dark smirk. "You don't know the bond between two sisters. It's really strong, Yuugi. I don't need love, because I have Renoko. I gave up love to be with her until she becomes 25. So you see, Yuugi, if I fall in love, I'll be breaking that promise to her."

"I don't really care if you keep that promise now, Sister, but you are so very kind." interrupted Renoko with a smile.

"Of course, Sister." said Darla with a smirk and winked at Renoko. She gave her a thumb's up. "Let's defeat him for good!"

"I wouldn't lose for the world, my dear." replied Renoko with a snicker.

Atemu scowled at the Demonic Sisters this time. "You two are delusional if you think defeating me will bring justice!"

"We know we're bringing disaster, dumbass. Shouldn't the title 'Demonic Sisters' ring a bell that we love to bring about disaster and misery?"

"I will stop you!" promised Atemu.

"I'm getting bored over here!" said Kaiba sarcastically. "Please begin the duel!" he ordered. "It doesn't look like the mutt will show up."

"I'm tired of your s**t, Kaiba! Stop being so impatient and wait for him to arrive!" retorted Atemu angrily.

[[Nah, I didn't mind :3 If you like, you can finish up the duel now. It would give you a chance to respond to some of the things I put and finish it the way you want. haha, I don't think Marik is quite fond of Darla. I don't know why, I guess I was thinking that he didn't like the idea Darla controls Lerena. Of course he doesn't know about her yet, he just has that unconscious feeling about it. He doesn't have to not like her, perhaps he could just be weery of Darla]]

Jonouchi ran through the hallways as fast as he could. "Damn it, I should have skipped talking to that teacher. Yuugi is probably waiting for me right now!" As he ran through the halls, he saw Akiko at her locker. "Come on! Let's go!" he said.

Akiko was at her locker taking everything she needed to bring back home. She took another one of her pills and put it in her bag. Right after that, she heard Jonouchi's voice. "Huh wha!?" she exclaimed from shock of his suddeness.

"The duel Akiko! You coming or not?" he said starting to run off without her response. He couldn't be anymore late.

"Oh right!" she said looking around quickly making sure she had everything. She grabbed her bag and ran along with Jonouchi. She could barely keep up with him, after all she was short and short of breath. "Do we have to run so fast!?" Akiko called out.

"Yea. I'm really late," he said seriously.

"They can just wait for you! Jo, it's hard to keep up with you!" she said slowly falling behind him.

"No, this isn't the type of duel."

"What do you mean?"

"This isn't a casual fun duel. This is a really serious duel, Akiko. We're almost there!" he called out.

Akiko didn't quite understand why this was so important or serious. They finally made it to the open area. Akiko went down on her knees and went through her bag vigorously as she panted. She took another whiff of her inhaler to calm her breathing. After she was relaxed, she looked up to see a boy next to her. She didn't know who he was, she didn't bother asking (Kaiba). Once she felt better, she stood up and dusted her knees off.

"Ok, I'm here," he said with his duel disk in his hand. He slipped it on and slid his deck inside. "Sorry I'm late buddy," he said to Yuugi giving him thumbs up. He looked at the Demonic Sisters, "Are you two ready to go down?" he said confidentially as he gave them a thumb down. He peeked around to see if Akiko was ok, she was using her inhailer, she seemed fine. He then looked over to see Kaiba next to her. "What do you want rich boy?" he said unamused he was here to watch the duel. God he hated that guy, that cocky b*****d.

During the day, Marik decided even though he wanted to stay away from Lerena, he would watch her duel. He walked casually to the open field. Everyone else was already there. He stood away from Kaiba and Akiko and the furest away from the duel. However, he could still see them and hear them clearly, and they could easily see and hear him. He crossed his arms and stared at Lerena and Renoko. Lerena seemed different, and he didn't feel the same way he did previously. He didn't think too much about it since he didn't want to go through what he did before.

The duel was rather interesting. Although both teams put up a good fight, the Demotic Sisters were over coming Yuugi and Jonouchi. Of course they would go for Jonouchi first, though he was strong he was defiantly the weakest link. However, they seemed to use many spells and traps that focused with direct damage or effects that would prevent them from bring out anything strong. Renoko focused on destroying Jonouchi's hand and deck. Lerena focused on Yuugi, or rather, the Pharaoh, by burning his life points. The two certainly struggled, but toward the end, Renoko made Jonouchi use all of his cards in his deck- thus he was out of the duel.

"Damn it!" Jonouchi said as he kneed down and punched the ground. He looked up at the two sisters, "You know, all you're decks are are cheap tricks! Really reflects you two don't it!" He was aggravated, he couldn't help Yuugi at all. Now he was by himself. "Sorry Yuug," he said lowering his head.

Akiko watched the whole duel, realizing this was certainly much more then just a duel. She understood what Jonouchi meant now. There was a definite streak of anger and tension that was as thick as London fog. During the whole duel, she felt strangely weak. She didn't know why, she ate and took her medicine, she shouldn't feel fatigue. But she stayed and tried to stay strong. She felt she had to stay here and watch. Jonouchi was out of the duel and it looked really bad for Yuugi. "Jo..." she mumbled under her breath.

((And he should be wary of her. She did take away Lerena's feelings of love after all.))

The duel went on and the last of Atemu's life points were burned. Darla released control over Lerena. She cackled. "Yes! Yes, I win! Who said that villains never succeed?!" said Lerena with an evil chuckle. "Oh, I feel so fulfilled!"

"Congratulations. It seems you two defeated him." said Kaiba, sort of annoyed at this fact. He had ignored Jounouchi, but he had to comment on the fact he was the reason Yuugi lost. "You truly are a second-rate duelist, Jounouchi." commented Kaiba cruelly. He smirked and then turned to leave. He knew how to defeat Yuugi now, but it would take some underhanded tricks.

"It is an honor, Mr. Kaiba." said Renoko with a dark smile.

"It is an honor to be congratulated by the CEO of Kaiba Corp." replied Lerena softly. "Hand me the Puzzle, Yuugi." Lerena ordered, laughing evilly. "It's mine! It's finally mine!" Her eyes widened with anticipation.

Kaiba snorted at their replies. "Whatever. I just came here to see you two defeat Yuugi." Was this Lerena person seriously this deranged? Whatever. It wasn't his concern. He left without hearing Jounouchi's reply. Jounouchi's reaction was none of his concern at the moment even though they usually amused him for about five seconds.

"No! Damnit! I lost!" said Atemu, punching the ground in with his fist. He was on his knees now and he didn't want to give up his Millennium Puzzle, bug he grudgingly took it off and handed it to Lerena.

Tears rolled down Yuugi's face as he found it difficult to accept the fact he lost to the Demonic Sisters. "How could I have lost?! It's impossible!"

Lerena glared at Yuugi. "You lost, because you chose a weakling as your partner. You would've lost anyway though."

"Who was that dueling instead of you?" Yuugi asked Lerena.

"Between you and me, it's probably best that you don't know." Lerena answered him in a whisper. She noticed Marik for the first time, but this didn't phase her strangely enough. She snickered at Jounouchi. "Cheap tricks? You really have no idea. These aren't our real decks, but when we want something done, these are the decks we use."

"It's all right, Jounouchi. You fought a good battle." said Yuugi. "Maybe one day we can get the Puzzle back."

"I was once weak like you, Yuugi. I even fell in love once. Well, as you can see, I have been reborn."

"Why are you doing this?! Don't you two care for anyone but yourselves?!" shouted Yuugi angrily.

"Shut up! Don't get in our way or you will suffer a fate far worse than losing your Puzzle! You are a fool! Someone like you doesn't deserve this." she said with a chuckle.

"What will you do with my Puzzle then?" asked Yuugi.

"Give it to someone more worthy of course. Perhaps Father would enjoy having this lovely artifact." commented Renoko smoothly.

"You and your family...why don't you let anyone else in?" asked Yuugi again.

"Because of people like you." said Lerena evilly. "Come on, Renoko. I'm itching to see what Father has in store for us." she said, putting the Puzzle around her neck and locking arms with her sister as they disappeared from sight around the corner of a building.

Yuugi wiped the tears away and then walked over to Akiko. "Are you alright?" he asked. "I noticed you had to use your inhaler during our duel."
