Not a ripple disturbed the still expression on the princess' face, but she did not approve of Asura's disrespect for the chain of command. And yet, once again, she kept silent. If Aldan was ruffled, then it would be up to him to take any sort of action regarding that.
"A pleasure as well, Asura Mamoshi." Rowena responded civilly. She had detected the malice in his tone, but thought nothing of it. She was royalty; She did not have to like everyone, but had to maintain the guise of pleasantry.
But Rowena was curious as to why the man said those words. Was it the custom of some soldiers to want to die by the hand of an ally? "While it is admirable of you to admit that you were his accomplice," Rowena started as she turned as well, to look at Asura, "I was speaking of the value of awaiting orders before acting. The Britannian military is an organized group, after all. Not a rag-tag band of mercenaries who would do as they wished." A slim shoulder lifted in a leisurely half-shrug. "But please, do continue with your preparations."
The princess then turned back to Kinata. "Please explain to me what this assault will consist of."

Asura stopped dead in his tracks "Awaiting orders?" he said turning once again "If he hadn't of left before being ordered we could have died!" he was losing his cool quickly, he had to clench his fist in order to control his urge to unsheathe his katana. "to my knowledge if he had waited we would have been a easy target for the sniper, and it would look bad if we let any harm happen to you." he smiled slightly "And I saw the confusion in your eyes from my last comment also." his smile turned sadistic "I don't consider anyone on this ship an ally, So if he's going to die I'll be the one to kill him."
A solider he hasn't seen before put a hand on his shoulder "Asura, your way out of line talking to the princess like that, I must request that you return to your room no-"
Asura unsheathed his katana and pointed it under the soldier's chin "I'm sorry it seems like your giving me an order." his tone became dead serious "I haven't seen you before, are you new? Doesn't matter, I'll warn you now, I don't take kindly to orders given by a grunt. Do it again...And I'll kill you." he shrugged the man's hand off and walked out of the command room as another solider walked up to the princess.
"My apologies princess, Asura's case is......special." he explained "He was a assassin before he joined our ranks, so he isn't use to being in contact with so many people, it agitates him, and despite what he says he and Leon are good friends. so by his terminology he considers Leon his equal and would only allow him to strike him down, also besides the fact that he was a assassin we virtually know nothing about him. Disturbing isn't it?"
Asura slammed his fist against the wall of his room. "Damn it!" he said hitting the wall again "I almost blew my cover!" he unsheathed his katana and placed his head against the bunt of the blade "I'm sorry mother." He took out a portable com-link from a secret compartment from under his bed. He activated it. A black knight came up on the screen. "Since your answering I take it that Raven and Shido are in the little battle outside?" He didn't give him time to answer "Tell one of them to contact me when they return."
"And who might you be?" the Black Knight asked
"Asura Mamoshi of the Special Operations Unit."

What? Hadron- Lance swore and ejected the right arm as the Hadron Cannon hit the right arm. He had barely done so before the right arm exploded, propelling the Snipelink downwards even more so than what Lance had been doing. He's still alive? Lance deactivated the float unit and let the Snipelink drop like a rock. He opened a com-link to the Mark 00. "Snipelink, commencing tactical withdraw." He shouldn't be in any shape to continue pursuit.

Aldan waited for Asura to leave the deck before responding. "He's only here because some strings were pulled, and not by the Commander."
"Eternal-dono and Shishuku-sama are stuck with those two incompetents," added Kinata, mostly in Shishuku's defense than Eternal's. "And don't worry, it's not like there's anyone around here that wants them to stay. Well, Leon's more preferable to keep around than Asura, probably because of his stance on things."
"A single squad of twelve knightmares, led by Captain Shishuku will engage enemy knightmares whille a second force led by the Commander will infiltrate the enemy base and destroy it from within. The Knightmare squad will be composed of four of our regulars and eight enlisted, along with Captain Shishuku's Arch Zephyr. The infiltration team will consist of a team lead by Eternal, which will include Latune and two of our regulars. The second team will be lead by Leon and will include Asura and two enlisted."
"This is a approximation based off the capabilities of the key members. Also, the knightmare squad will effectively allow for the Nightingale and its escorts to move in. The EF is expected to intervene in both regards as has been taken into consideration for the safety of the infiltration team," said Kinata. "If the sniper is still functioning, a second knightmare squad consisting of eight enlisted will engage the sniper long enough for the Nightingale to open fire on it."
"I've pulled up the area of the mountain range," informed Sonia. She kept her attention on her console and hadn't paid much attention to the briefing given to the Princess as she herself had been a participant in the meeting, though the part dealing with the sniper was, new. "I'll have a estimate of the place in a few hours. Provided that I am not forced to take on additional tasks."
"I see," noted Kinata. "Assign your normal tasks to the others. It's imperative that the information is completed and done as quickly as possible for the success of the mission."
Aldan raised an eyebrow and mused to himself for a second. "Princess Rowena," began Aldan politely. "Would you prefer to lead a third team? Or would m'lady wish to be apart of the Commander's or Leon's team?"

Leon let out a sigh of relief as he saw the sniper retreating, he opened a com-link to Eternal. "Commander, the sniper is retreating and my Knightmare is damaged, I request permission to return to base."
That was a lucky shot, but this will be a pain to repair. he laughed to himself "I haven't had that much fun in ages!" he patted the armrest of his KMF "I hope he doesn't die until the next time we meet, I'd like to maybe meet him face to face."

Asura put the com-link back in its compartment. He remembered some of the comments made by the princess. Out of all the Britannians she had to be on board. he left his room and made his way to the training room. he set up some dummies and began to hack and slash at them, taking out his annoyance on them. after about fifteen minutes he had gone through about ten dummies. he sat against the wall his katana sheathed and laying on his lap, he felt his scar over his right eye. Damn Britannians

"That does not make it right." Rowena stated steadily. "Do not misunderstand; I am not saying that he committed a disservice by launching because he had his military duty in mind. I'm saying he did not get authorization when he could have asked for it." Rowena definitely had nothing against Leon even if he had gone there to make a name for himself. It was just... It could have been done through proper channels.
Aware that she and Asura had gotten off on the wrong foot already, the princess did not respond to his explanation of his last comment, nor to the following explanations regarding the former assassin's behavior. "Are you saying that the VSD cannot turn down endorsements from the higher ups?" She asked quietly. "I want the name of the one who wanted him here, and... A background check." The VSD should at least have done the latter, right?
After listening to the details of the assault, Rowena already knew what she wanted. So when Aldan finished his question, there was already a ready answer from the princess. "I am... Not so arrogant as to think that I can lead a squad on my first time in battle." The princess felt no shame in admitting that. She had to start somewhere, and if she did lie, then it would cause more harm to herself and this operation. "Place me in whichever team you wish; I am not particular with whom I should work with. I would not wish for my inexperience to be a burden, either."

The Akatsuki Units drove to the front lines once the superiors ordered. Some were dropping like flies, but the main squad pushed forth.
"A hadron cannon will be fired soon, men. We must be wary and keep eyes on Raven. She will not stop for our foolishness."
The three remaining forces drew out the Katen Yaibatou and attacked the incoming frontier and their other enemy forces. "Hold steady for contact!"
"I hope this works!" Shido yelled from the cockpit as the slash harkens zoomed in from the black Knightmare. "Don't get in my way..." he stayed in the position to slash the incoming harkens. "Raven! FIRE!"
A smirk grew on her face. Finally... "Prepare to die!" she shrieked as a red blast exploded downward to the ground below. She didn't really care what she hit.
The two units were up in the air, trying to fend off some of Shishuku's moves. With eerie works of their female superior, they tried to get out of the way.
"Sir!" the unit stuck on ground cried. "Contact has been made."

"Final barrage, target, the Mark 00's enemy. Lock'd on and fire," ordered Lance as the Snipelink crashed into the lake, sinking into the 'submarine's' open hanger doors, which promptly sealed after it had entered the 'submarine'. The missiles had promptly launched the moment Lance said fire, which drew a smile from Lance. "Teach'em a lesson 'girl'."

"Hmp. Don't need you to tell me that," replied Esther as she boosted the harkens right at Raven from behind. Goodbye. She threw the Mark 00 into full throttle forward, which was downhill. It matched perfectly with the fact that two of the harkens had gone above Shido when they were originally to entangle him. Their positioning allowed for them to interfere with Shido so that the other four could directly attack Raven with impunity. Her direction would drag whichever knightmare it caught downwards with it, while also allowing her to evade the Hadron Cannon.

Eternal kept the grounded Akatsuki in close range combat, distracting it from the Lancelot Frontier, which took aim and fired its VARIS at the Akatsuki. The pilot ejected to safety whereas the Akatsuki was destroyed by the VARIS. Eternal raised an eyebrow and took off off the mountainside to assist Shishuku.
Shishuku fired two missile barrages, one after the other, leaving a single barrage left in the four missile launchers. They were aimed at both aerial Akatsuki. She thrusted in the VES from the left ans sliced in, but the pilot ejected in time. The remaining Akatsuki fired on her from a near-point-blank range, and landed two shots on Shishuku before she could force it to block with it's sword. The pilot ejected as it noticed that Eternal's interception from the other side would doom it.
"Withdraw to the Nightingale as per procedure. The recklessness of your actions will be judged at a later time after the situtation has been resolved," replied Latune, after all, simple tasks such as dealing with less-than-loved by the general majority of the VSD was among a task she did on her own to save her 'Onii-chan' some time. "How about having some fun locked up in the brig?" suggested Latune with some enthusiasm and a 'warm' smile.
Eternal chuckled a bit at Latune's sarcastic joke at Leon. Well at least we're in agreement. "You heard the girl."

"That's wise of you m'lady," said Aldan with a nod, "and very praiseworthy." He shot Kinata a quick glance and a wordless exchange took place near instantly.
"Then it's settled. Rowena-hime will be joining Leon and Asura. And Asura will be personally tasked with your safety," said Kinata. "Is there any problems with that arrangement?"
"It'll keep those two from any reckless actions," replied Aldan with obvious hints amusement in his tone. "If you don't me imposing on you m'lady, but could you... teach the youth a lesson or two in... say manners while the mission's in progress?"

"Sounds great Latune." He replied warmly "And maybe next time I'll just you know say I better await orders, oh well we could die but you know it could be worst, the princess could be on board." He smiled to himself "Just kidding, but in my defense I think he knew about geass." he turned his knightmare around after closing his com-link. making his way back to the nightingale.

Asura was still in the training room thinking of past battles. He stood up and made his way back to his room. He put the portable com-link in a carry case, incase Raven or Shido hadn't contacted him before he left. He made his way back to the command room, and took a place in the back against the wall.

While it was true that she did not expect to be placed on the same squad as Asura, given their interaction earlier, but she had no plans of taking back her word on being alright with being placed on either squad. "No problems at all. I hope to be of help to the operation." She did, however, laugh softly when Aldan mentioned teaching Asura manners. "I will... Make sure of that.
"I will need a few minutes to get ready." She gestured down to her appearance. "It does not do to engage the enemy in combat in a gown and elaborately done hair." It wouldn't take very long, really. If anything, undressing would take more time than to get dressed. "I'll start getting ready now." As she passed Asura on her way to her quarters aboard the ship, Rowena nodded and spoke lightly, not even looking at the man. "I'll be counting on you."

"Aldan, what does she mean she'll be counting on me?" Asura asked "The way she talked was like she was going with me?" he stood there "Aldan, you wouldn't" he knew instantly what was going on. "Did you have some hand in this to Kinata? I mean I know all of you hate me but-" he cut himself off before he said anything that could blow his cover "Just laugh it up all of you, while you sit here safe, I'll be on the front lines" He rushed out of the command room, passing the princess without a word he stopped for a second about to say something but decided against it and continued to make his way back to his room.

Rowena only smiled as Asura passed her. She guessed that he wasn't too pleased with the arrangements, but he had no choice in it. Those were orders.
The princess started undoing the pins that held her hair up as soon as she was in her room, letting her lady-in-waiting undress her. She gave quick orders to the small staff she kept, and after a while -- with some difficulty because the arrangement of her hair really was a pain -- Rowena was dressed in her field wear, katana hanging from her hip.
She then went back to the command room after a while, tying her hair back in a ponytail as she did. "And now I'm ready."

After roughly twenty minutes Leon finally made it back, he landed in the hanger and got out of his Knightmare, he look at it from the outside, then remembered what Latune said "God, she'll really put me in a cell" he smiled "oh well, I have been wanting to take a break" he made his way out of the hanger and made his way to the command room, but first he dropped by his room and grabbed his Rapier and hung it from his left hip, and grabbed a head band and tied it around his head. he left his room and made his way to the command room once again. When he entered there was a woman he had never met before, he paid no attenion to her.
"Aldan, sir, I'm here to accept my punishment for launch before the orders where given." he said

"That was fast Rowena-hime," commented Kinata. "We're not starting the operation until Shishuku-sama and Eternal-dono return. And furthermore, Shishuku-sama's knightmare will need to be resupplied first."
Aldan turned to face Leon as he saw him enter. He waited for Leon to finish before he spoke. "If you really want a punishment, we can pick one out for you later," remarked Aldan. "There's a more urgent need at hand."
"You are to lead a five person team consisting of you, Asura, Rowena-hime, and two members from the regular army in a infiltration mission against the Black Knights. You are responsible for your whole team understood? And be sure to not accidentally fire on the team lead by Eternal-dono."

"Was it?" Rowena shrugged elegantly. It wasn't like she didn't hurry though. Her lady-in-waiting had never helped dress the princess faster than that. It did not even matter that they needed to wait for Eternal and Shisuku to return to the cruiser; Rowena knew that she needed to be in the command room so as not to miss a thing.
There was still time to wait though. Rowena returned to the chair she had been sitting on earlier, although she did not sit back down and merely placed a light hand on the backrest. At least the errant pilot owned up to his actions, but that could have been due to the words of someone in command than anything else.

Asura made his way back to the command room as soon as he checked the com-link for the last time. He saw Leon from the corridor. "Leon, so your still alive." he said coldly as he entered the room "I see you've met the princess." he said pointing at her
Leon turned as Asura entered "I was just about to introduce myself." he turned to the princess "Princess, I am Leon Es Mablood." he knelt down to one knee. "If there is anything you need, Please don't hesitate to ask."
"Leon has Aldan and Kinata explained what we are going to yet." before he could answer he turned to Aldan "So have you told the princess why I am here, and who it was who wanted me here?" he then turned to the princess and smiled a warm 'smile' "Princess, I do belive we got off on the wrong foot." he dropped the fake smile "I also have no intention taking anything I said back, so please when Aldan explains, If he ever does that is, listen closly."
"Asura, she's the princess, you can't talk to her like that!" yelled Leon
"Shut up Leon!" he said "The only reason your here is because your family was killed by Elevens!" He saw the hurt in Leon's eyes, but felt no sympathy. "Leon your such a child, your emotions rule you, if you don't stay calm in battle you'll eventually die." he said make his voice more cold. "Aldan, I would like to hear you explain to the princess who put me here. If you wouldn't mind that is."
