That would be...so odd! D=
If she could pull it off that would be awsome. That's all it really depends on, right? =o

well, if your in your 30's i think it would be wise to go aristocratic. it's more mature for other women or men. i suppose you could call it the mother of lolita. ^___^

I would admire her for her love for Lolita. Then I'd probably go up to her and tell her Classic or Country Lolita may be better. It is a bit like Sweet Lolita but it looks better on older people than teens.

I'd think it was ridiculous. That style's just not for older people.

I think this style, unfortunately, doesn't suit older women... It would be more secure to use just some elements of it, or to go Aristocrat 3nodding

I don't get why so many don't think it's a good idea. Who ever said you have to act your age? Plus with people saying they wouldn't be able to pull it off, many youths can't pull it off either. I say do what you want, and dress how you want. Just because gravity has affected your breasts or any other parts off the body doesn't mean you suddenly can't dress or do what you want. Many people are discriminative against other people, just slap yourself in with them because of an age difference. I'm already steamed so I probably just blew up and will edit and take a lot back later. Rant over

Mana's over fourty, and a man. (Correct me if I'm wrong) I think that justifies the saying "age is an attitude." Heck, even gender doesn't matter that much.
(Yeah, he's all gothic and wears heavy rocker makeup, but I don't see ~that~ much a difference between ama and gothic.)

that's gonna be me! xd The weird 70yr old who dresses is Ama Loli! Probably a little toned down to classic loli though.
I think it'd be rad to see a person dress like that!

Lolita is a literal term. It means a sexually attractive minor to older men.
So, a middle aged lolita is not possible, considering she is not a minor. o.o
but, clothing style wise if she likes it and makes her feel younger then by all means. xD

Personally, the first thing I would probably do if I saw an older woman wearing sweet loli is ask her how she became interested in the fashion/where she heard about it...and questions like that...

I think that it'd be pretty cool to see an older woman dressed sweet lolita, though I'd think she'd probably need to start wearing aristocrat soon... I think I'd try to talk to her but end up being too shy and just watching from a distance...

Er, lolita isn't that in the context we are using it. Japanese are infamous for taking English words out of context and giving them new meanings - rorita, or gosurori, is a fashion where you look like a victorian 5-year-old plus skulls and crosses. Heck, even Goithic Lolita Bible isn't the "bible" we're used to. Words just have different definitions, and you have to decite which to use depending on the context. Lolita the fashion is not lolita the fetish or Lolita the book, those are three different words despite the exact same spelling. Just like hit means to punch, a very popular thing and something indecent.
