Toshiro gave a warm smile, glad to see them both doing better. "You're most welcome. I'll be just outside, alright?" The brown stallion stepped back outside once again, and started grazing on some nearby grasses, ears and eyes on the lookout. He had only brought the coconut for Kindle after all, and he occasionally liked to keep an eye out for danger anyway. He wouldn't allow his family to be attacked by any predators in the area.

Kindle glanced at the entrance curiously. Ah well, perhaps he wasn't hungry. Lapping the coconut clean, she turned her attention to the meat, ripping out a white chunk. Things would be fine here. She took a few more bites, then rested her head on the grasses. Need a bigger home soon. But for now, everything was perfect. At least, until the tiny monster got hungry again...

 Things were generally fairly monotonous in the foal's world. There was an uncomfortable darkness, not much room to move, and occasional muted sounds from some unknown sources. However, it seemed that lately his world had been becoming even more cramped than usual, and for some reason outside activity seemed to have a different tenor to it than usual. Curious of what was going on outside and wanting out of his small dark space, the colt began wriggling around in his egg, determined to find a way out.Outside of the small shelter, the area appeared to be secure. Nevertheless, Toshiro didn't intend to graze for all that long, for he rather wished to go back inside and spend some more time with his family. Stepping back in, he flashed Kindle a warm smile. "Hello, love. Did you enjoy your coconut?" Some movement from the nest caught his eye, and he looked down to see the second egg wriggling about. "It looks like we need to start thinking of a second name."

Looking up from their sleeping daughter, Kindle shot him a puzzled glance. It wasn't possible, was it? Twice in the span of a day? Yet as she cast her eyes at the remaining egg, she knew with a bitter certainty that she would be leeched from a second time this day. Steeling herself, she tried to remember that particular phrase. 'Bring it on.' Though she hadn't realized she muttered it. Then, audibly, "Do you think it's a boy? Or a girl?"

Toshiro lowered his head to the egg and sniffed it like he had with his daughter. "It smells male," he replied, giving the wriggling egg a soft nudge. "Perhaps you should come up with a name this time?" His mind was drawing a bit of a blank at the moment. They really should have done this ahead of time.
The colt paused for a brief second when he felt an outside source move his world. True, this happened occasionally, but it just surprised him was all. Not to mention that the voices were speaking again. What was it they were saying to each other? Maybe if he got out of this place he would be able to understand. With a strong push of his head, his horn was able to poke a small hole in the egg. Argh. Bright light. It hurt his eyes a bit but at the same time his was a wonderful change from the ever present darkness. Slowly, he began working on chipping away more of the shell with his horn.

"Jiyuu," she smiled, hardly needing a moment to think. She couldn't remember where it had come from, but she'd always loved the name. As the next chip fell away, she craned her head for a better look. Their son.. a daughter and a son. Somehow so perfect. She smiled softly to herself.

 The foal pushed against his shell with as much effort as he could muster, determined to break free. First one hoof pushed through, and then another. Finally the little colt tumbled free of his egg, wings failing behind him.Jiyuu. The name fit. Toshiro smiled and gave a nod to his mate as their son finally broke free of his egg. The stallion lowered his head to start cleaning off the foal, ignoring the complaining noises he made.

"Colorful," Kindle mused as she leaned forward to aid her mate, tongue running in broad flat swipes over their son. "Extremely colorful." She smiled gently. "Jiyuu... welcome to the world."

Ack! Tongues! The small colt squirmed a bit when the second adult joined in licking him, but he quickly decided to give up and lay there patiently while they cleaned him. That didn't stop the occasional grumble though. When his mother started to address him, the colt cocked his head at her, looking up curiously. These were the voices he had heard from in his egg. Much clearer now of course.
"Mm, yes, he is very colorful," Toshiro replied with a smile, pausing for a moment to look over his son. He was going to make a fine stallion someday. "It looks like both of our children have inherited your good looks," the brown stallion said with a chuckle. "I suppose they'll be wanting flying lessons someday though. That should be... interesting."

Smiling, she shook her head gently. "No, I think they got your good looks. And my wings." She looked somewhat curious at that, but merely passed it off. It was likely nothing. "Jiyuu... he'll probably be just like you, Toshi." She smiled gently, glancing down at the filly already dozing in the leaves and grasses a few inches away.

Toshiro finished cleaning off his son and gave his mate a quick nuzzle. "It'll be interesting to see their personalities for sure," he replied, looking down at the two foals with a fond smile. It was still hard to believe that they were parents. The reality was sure to sink in more over the next few days probably.
Jiyuu was currently working on trying to stand up, not paying much mind to his parents conversation. On his first attempt he stumbled back down, but he wasn't about to give up. On his second try he managed to get himself up onto very shaky legs, his little wings spread out at his sides to balance himself.

Kindle glanced at the- the youngest of the pair? By bare moments.... she smiled softly. So strong already, even despite having just entered the world. "Jiyuu..." Already trying to walk. Meanwhile, Chione had been more than content to curl up for a nap. In that, they were very like their mother and father, though the irony seemed to be just now lost on the mare. "Already up and moving. We're going to have our hands full with these, my love..."

Jiyuu tried to take a step forward but ended up splayed out on the grass, wings flapping wildly during the small fall. He grunted and slowly got back up again, still trying to make his way forward. He smelled milk.
"So it would seem," Toshiro agreed with a chuckle. He watched his son struggle and gave him an encouraging smile. "He seems quite determined to get to you my dear. Perhaps he's hungry."

"Oh! That's what he's doing..." She nodded. It made enough sense. That was the first thing Chione had done. Rising, she scooted across their den, then shifted to her side before the tiny colt. "I'm sorry, Jii... I didn't realize-..."
