very well... i'll need to remember that threat for a future date... now, luceil, dear... i have arranged for you to have a bit of tutoring with zel... yes i know... you are a very smart dragonling... but the things you know are only a fraction of what your alter ego knows and it's time someone thought to bring you up to snuff...
therefore... every member of the crew will be teaching you something... starting with zel... and ye will listen or ye will be land bound and muzzled... with an enchanted glass muzzle btw... that only i can take off...
now i think you may actually like these lessons.... zel is to teach you about the seven hells... (nothing like putting the fear of evil into him right away)... yer half gold and all golds are against evil... right? so here's the carrot to match me stick... listen to zel... and i'll take you to a secret diamond mine in africa for lunch... deal?

The cat walks in on him as he is dumping the catnip into the cream. Hmmm... I really ought to make you drink that, but it would be a shameful waste of good catnip, really it would. How about we put it aside for later, ok?
Now, did Lyssan tell you what your lesson with me was? She did, good. Now... why me and why only seven of the nine levels... well... it's me because it's my home... see... or where I'm from... if you want to get technical... I don't live there anymore... and no, I'm not evil... at least I don't think I am... I'm more of a chaotic neutral entity than anything... a live and let live kind of guy...
As for why only seven levels, well, I won't be taking you to my home level, see. Not welcomed there anymore. And even I won't go to the last without good reason, and teaching you about the hells is not a good reason in my book. So are you ready to fly?

lyssan watches the dragonling shoot off with a grin... see, zel, i told you he'd bolt...
ok... while he was raiding me tea and such i gathered a few drops of his acid and a scraping of his skin... and used it to make this amulet...
you'll notice the dial on the front... turning it one way will lock the area about him in a localized stasis bubble... he'll move about, no problem, but he won't get very far... move it in the other direction will act as a repellent... he'll be free to move about again... but this time no matter how much he wants to get at something... he isn't going to make contact.... on the back is a charm against acid and well... iffin i were ye i'd go stone skin on him so he can't get ye with fire... once it is about yer neck only i can take it off... got it on... good!...
good luck and have fun... and don't glare at me so... this might actually be fun....
the cat darts off through the air after the dragonling and lyssan chuckles... this will be a good lesson for the both of ye, she says beneath her breath... rofl

Kerobian Note: How's he gonna catch Luciel when he's 2000 feet underwater? Actually you don't quite make it that far down. I decide it is time to use Lyssan's playtoy. I use the stasis setting and hold you in place. then I use one of my natural powers of attraction and pull the stasis bubble up out of the water.

nice play... forgot about that power... kero... it's like magnetism but works on living things only... panthera imbued him with it when he set him off to hunt me.... he can only use it on one specific target a day... i guess he's chosen you....
hmmm... as he pulls kero towards him the stasis bubble surrounding him comes up out of the water as well, bringing water and fish with it... there is a water filled sphere before him... in the middle of the sphere is a dragonling frantically trying to get away... frightened fish are swimming in circles all about the sphere....

I see, so the bubble is a stasis field but not it's contents. I like. I think I have a new fishing tool. I see all sorts of applications with this things... Yes I do! blaugh

I'll have to let her know about that when we get back. Any way, aren't you even a bit curious as to how we are going to get to Avernus? Find me a shadow. Any shadow will do but since I'm taking you along, you may want it to be of a reasonable size so as to give us elbow room.

Vice Captain Austin Suddenly A pirate jacks the stasis bubble...AHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he shout swinging from a rope scooping it up... yer rope comes up tied about a nice size blue fin tuna..... a touch too late to snag the entire bubble, i'm afraid... rofl he already dissolved it... (reread the post above yours) but a wild idea for later iffin ye can accomplish it.. blaugh ummm .... austin, about these lessons... how about ye teach him something when zel is done...... i'll let ye decide.... that amulet was mighty effective... i should probably make up a few more.... sweatdrop twisted hmmm... an even better story line would have the copies defective in unique ways....
