Illusor followed calmly in the wake of the attacking pine cones, when he reached the pile where Lucian lay buried, he glanced down at the protest of pain that issued from the mound. "I might have warned you had I any incling you would be as foolish, but it is not wise to insult deities, or,...well anyone who happens to be more powerful than yourself. That aside, are you injured in anyway?" He paused breifly, "If you are not I would highly advise we move on, and without hesitation. Making a racket like that in this area of Matri is not ussually a course of action that is condusive to longevity..." He glanced around the area, his blue gaze unusually peircing, what he found apparently decided him. "Yes, we must leave right now. Can you stand? or need I assist you?"

Auron set his sword aside, tip in the ground then looked around for a bit wondering if he should try to make a campfire or something.Raziel smiled finally, and spoke in a predatory tone, "What makes you think they would come near here? Maybe something is scaring them off."

Torvelion got up slowly. he said, "ow". "I don't think any of the local creatures would dare attack me for fear of the goddess of acorns," he said, and at that moment, a single, last, pinecone fell from the forest canopy. it hit Torvelion squarely in the head, he then added,"and pinecones, you happy now?" he sighed heavily, " that was a rhetorical question, and you know it."
"alright, let's get this show on the road, shall we?" He said, striding forward. "By the way, if you ever meet the most gorgeous and powerful woman you ever thought could possibly exist, and she says, " Will you play with me?" VERY suggestively, you RUN, as fast as you can...and then some."
"you see, its just not worth it," then he looked upward as he walked, and said, "hey, who asked you to butt in? I'm entitled to my own opinion as to wether it was worth it or not." Torvelion then stopped dead in his tracks, and his body went rictus, and he arched his back, shuddering with his eyes closed, as if reliving a thousand memories in a matter of seconds(think of the way they learn kung fu in the matrix). He gasped for breath as he returned from whatever distant place he had just visited. " I had forgotten that bit... nevermind what I just said, it's worth it. There are a great many practical benefits, in addition to...others. And YOU" he said, talking to nothing, "don't ever do that again, one of these days my head is gonna blow up..."
Torvelion straightened, as if refreshed suddenly, " so, are we arriving soon?" he looked around, then flipped forward, springing with his hands into yet another flip, and landed in a crouched ready position, with his bladed staff whirling. Torbelion then stood up, laughing, saying, "sometimes you forget how good it feels to be alive... tell me, have you ever been immortal before?" he then kept walking, doing the occasional flip, or skipping at times.

Eric had been wandering the woods for some time now, and was finally settling into the comfort of the quiet, fragrant trees. The sunlight filtering through the boughs shimmered on his chainmail armor, and lit up the deceptively quiet forest like a painting come alive. His journey led him towards a small town, as he drew closer he began to pass other people on the road. Most paid him little heed, he was a warrior, and a wanderer, his presence simply meant that the roads would be slightly safer after he passed. Eventually the trees broke, and the first buildings came into view, some were stone or concrete, most were made of wood and thatch, the easiest materials to come accross in this area. Small kids prowled the streets, careful to stay near the center of town. Adults did various chores or sold wares. many were lazing about in the hot noon sun. Eric smiled, a small quirk of his lips, almost sardonic looking with the scar tugging the right side of his face. He kept walking, he wasn't sure if what he was looking for would be here, but he would know if it was... or at least he thought he would...

Illusor watched Lucien, listening to his dialogue and his side of his strange conversation. He chuckled at his various commentary and smiled wryly at his references to his particualr deity. "Believe me Lucien, any time women approached me with seductive promises, and queeries to play I do my best to leave the vacinity with all haste." He listened more, reading between the lines of Lucien's outbursts. "As to your question, I have never been immortal, nor would I wish to be, I know several deities, and immortals, most are not as happy as you seem to be. Perhaps you will have the misfortune of meeting one of Matri's immortals, I pray that your luck provides it not be the infamous Feralina." Illusor then smiled, a very charming and beautiful brightening of his face that made Torvelion wish this healer had been of a different gender... "We will arrive quite soon I believe, and although I hate to dispell your excellent mood, I would ask you tone down your voice a little, these woods are not entirely freindly."

Torvelion looked around, then said to himself, " 700? wow, I always thought it would be boring..." then he looked around to see if anyone had noticed. He then said to nobody in particular,[check gramar] "The trees are thinning, this signifies that we are close?"
after a short time, He turned and asked, " Furralina??(mispelled purposefully), who is that? and what is it/she the deity of?!?!?" he looked interested and wary at the same time. He then noticed how animatedly he had been talking, and looked around quickly, "by the way, exactly how dangerous ARE these woods? I trust my luck, but for some reason I think it might let me get hurt just a little, just to spite me, and I would rather avoid that."
"oh, one more thing, you guys DO know what gambling is, don't you?" he said, producing a cup and some dice.

Leo watched the half sided conversation with amusement. "Yes, I agree with him. Anything having to do with extra-mortal entities is perilous territory to say the least." Leo followed Illusor as they continued through the forest. "Gambling?" Leo said reflectively at Lucian. "Yea I know of it, but... I haven't had much luck with gambling.'

Illusor glanced back at Lucien and smiled, "Yes we are extremely close actually, it is right over that small hill there, and through the brambles, you might want me to go first, as those thorns are spelled to harm anyone I don't specifically alow inside. " He turned and as he walked answered another of Lucien's questions, "SHE is one of the immortal beasts of Misery. Beast of Fire, and of Fury. Her favorite pass-time is eating humans, particularly good-looking men, or so I have been told. There is also the goddess of Matri to worry about. her favorite sport is picking on tourists, like yourself, and she is fond of lightning bolts as punishment." He reached the brambles and with a wave of his hand the spiky bushes parted creating a path for him, He gestured for the others to go inside ahead of him, "These woods are full of Gadmirs and Feral dragons. they are also home to hungry wolves and other carnivorous, overly inteligent creatures." The wolves were not actually likely to hurt people, but they did not need to know that, also Illusor figured that this Lucien might recognise at least that species, and be wary.

ANd if anything is scaring them off, whatever it might be, I just hope it doesn't sneak up on us." Andrea says calmly, preparing the meat and usable parts of the gadmir's anatomy to be moved elsewhere.OOC: hmm, I know a character who could make an intro quite easily here, but i'm not sure if she should...((I think Raziel was refering to himself. . . being a soul reaper-vampire type creature.))

"er-thank you," he said to illusor as the bushes stayed parted for him. "Nice place," he said, looking around." I don't imagine that the plants make for very good conversation, what do you do for fun around here? I don't see anything resembling civilization... are you a hermit?!?! why would anyone want to be a hermit, must be boring. So, what do you do for a living, or is farming and herb gathering about it?"

((I think Raziel was refering to himself. Being a soul-reaper vampire type creature. . .))
Illusor glanced at Lucien and Leo as they passed, then gazed fondly at his home. There was a vast clearing between the brambles and the small gate that surrounded the cozy vine-covered cottage. In the spacious land around it there were plants of all kinds, herbs, fruit trees and bushes, vines, flowers even small animals ran about the spacious 'garden' flowers bloomed in abundancy, and the small house tucked into the hillside almost looked like more of the same, the walls were grown over with flowering vines, ivy, and grapes. and the whole area had a strong but fragrant scent. Surprising that they could only smell it after they stepped through the warding bramble walls. Illusor gestured at the house and surrounding lands, "Feel free to make yourselves at home for now, The trees and plants should be bearing fruit, you can eat as much as you desire, or I can prepare something. Anything to your liking?"

Though he's not bragging persay, he's not really conceited just thought the idea was humorous.)) Raziel and Auron both helped Andrea with her work. Auron wasn't really worried, but kept a watchfull eye because of her statement. He was still getting used to having both his eyes working again.

Raziel and Auron both helped Andrea with her work. Auron wasn't really worried, but kept a watchfull eye because of her statement. He was still getting used to having both his eyes working again. OOC: Once again, Andrea we're talking about. She gets in a huff really rather easily. And i'm sure Auron is enjoying the wonders of depth perception once again....I just realized i don't know what i'm going to post eek ...Stupid goldfish-like short term memory span stressed ... sweatdrop I'm sure i can wing it though. Andrea appeared to have all outward signs f relaxation but in reality she was extremely on edge it wasn't normal for the dense forests of Matri to be so eerily quiet. The fact there wasn't a single bird or insect chirping or buzzing had her quite unsettled.OOC: Hey Jeni, kinda like on GoH when you had Sephi wake up..only you did that a lot better, but then, you don't have to watch your online time slowly ticking away on you... neutral

The fact there wasn't a single bird or insect chirping or buzzing had her quite unsettled. Auron helped Andrea with her preparations, and then helped her cook what little of the food they would be eating. Raziel wandered lazily, but tense. He too could sense something was wrong, though he had little idea what that might be. He kept his awareness open, and while Auron seemed to be enjoying himself rather distractedly, he too was keeping a doubly watchful eye.
