I have quite a few:

1.) When your in an rp forum with a few people and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE use caps locks and they have to have at least 10 pictures of not even the same PERSON (!) to explain how their character looks while doing the task on hand.

2.) When people join a forum and there's a romantic mood and it needs to be accounted for, and the person leaves for two weeks~! ARG!

3.) When people can't spell, use light colors, and use caps locks waaaay too much.

4.) When people do this ** -- ~~ \ // for actions! I hate it!

That is all for now.

When people quote previous posts in a battle or something continously, it ends up with like 15 quotes in a post and it is incredibly tedious to read.

More Pet Peeves:
1. When people quote the rules sections of the forum in their first posts.
2. When people ignore said rules.
3. When people are less then simi-lit. One sentence doesn't cut it unless no one was addressing your character and you want to reintroduce them to the plot or you have the evil Writer's Block.
4. When people abuse free reign with their 'powers' and delve into the 'godmod' scenario.
5. When someone's RPC has no back story and no reason for the lack of one.
6. Along the same lines as 5: the over use of 'doesn't remember' for an excuse.
7. Having powers without an explored reason behind them i.e. a normal human character being able to spit fire.
8. Not describing the characters emotions or giving a reason behind them. (I am somewhat guilty of the second part)
9. Abandoning the RP in the middle without a PM to say why.
Those are the ones that work me a bit less than the obvious ones.

        1) I hate poor grammar
        2) I hate very short posts
        3) I hate it when people use I when I'm going for a 'he' or 'she' roleplay
        4) I hate it when people make my character do something in their post
        5) I hate boring posts
        6) I hate repetitiveness when people continue to describe like what their character is wearing or what they look like just to make their post bigger
        7) I hate super characters that can do anything
8 ) I don't like it when people use the default font. Sorry, but it just looks ucky to me.
        9) I hate super girly, girly girls that love sprinkles and rainbows and are such bitches when nothing goes their way.
        10) When people quote my forum creation posts for a roleplay and say they want to join.
        11) I hate any quoting. It's stupid and just creates all this mess
        12) When people ignore my rules of PMs and post in the roleplay saying 'hi can i join plz?' Ridiculous.
        13) *'s ~'s -'s etc. for non-speaking bits.
        14) Newbs. I hate them with a loathing passion. They should just stick to their sex roleplays and stay out of the serious ones until they learn now to speak properly and know how to read.
        15) When people just randomly quit without a reason.
        16) Spamming. I got a super nasty one, one time when this guy posted a whole bunch of porn and hentai on my roleplay. That was not a good week for anyone within a 5 mile radius of my home.
        17) People who always have to be everywhere, such as when they suddenly appear out of no where, when they were once somewhere else.
18 ) The emo characters who cry and hide in a corner when they are ignored. No one likes an emo kid. Hear that? That's me playing on the world's tiniest violin.
        19) Time zones. Although they are no one's fault, I hate them. I have been in roleplays when I can only post once a day because the other person would post while I was asleep.
        20) Emoticons. I don't know why, but I hate them. I hate it when I put in my own little face and a big yellow thing pops up. I hate it.
        21) Those that probably never even read an entire book in their life. I have a hint for you. Go to the library, and lean what good writing is.
        22) I hate slow roleplays. I usually join new roleplays because all the other ones are slow or have stopped. I am up to about 15 subscribed threads, all of them slow. I know that people have different schedules, but this annoys me so much!!!
        23) Again with the emoticons! I hate them! I try to do my 8 ) with no space. Oh look, some cool s**t with sunglasses on.

That's actually about all that I have. I know there are a lot of repeats, but I don't care. I just needed to get that off my chest.

I think the one thing I hate the most are short sentences like this:

The boy lost his dog. He was sad. He looked for him every where. He could not find him.

I die when I see that DX

I find a lot of people like that and I can not control the way they role play crying

I dislike when people won't shut up and keep talking mindlessly

What do you mean about that? question
PostPosted: Thu May 07, 2009 6:02 pm

It annoys me when people do things like this

*she walked over to the boy*Hey wats up*she waved her hand to him*

And thats all they post, i can never tell whats action and whats being spoken it really is annoying.
I also think when people post more than alot in one day and when someone says "Slow down i can't catch up." they say "Well it's you're fault for noy being on and stuff." That really pisses me off.
And what i think tha Koran Wall is saying is that people talk constanly about things that was never mentioned or posted in the RP.

The time zone thing has to be my biggest annoyance. I've only been around on Gaia for a few weeks and I really want to get stuck into an RP but I joined one and I would go to sleep and everyone else would wake up post 20 pages worth of stuff then go to bed when I was waking up. I had to leave that RP because it was unworkable. It made me sad because it was quite fun.

Or people who interact with my character and then dont give me a decent enough chance to then respond back before they go off and speak to someone else. If you tag a character of mine give me chance to respond.

God characters just seriously dont get me started. I made an RP thread and the character profiles all looked good I accepted the players then every single one of them (no exceptions) were suddenly invinsible trying to be the victors in the same fight and just coming out with ridiculous powers and abilities that instantly made me want to bash my head against a wall. Even in mutant or vampire or sci-fi Rps I like some semblance of realism.

Im by no means perfect I excessively use the ...'s and its only since joining gaia that i've stopped using ** mainly because in the previous system of rp playing I did using ** was one of the rules so im trying to beat that out of myself now but several years of playing RP's using the ** system means its a bit of a habit of mine. Like I said, its a work in progress. Oh and I use far to many commas

I hate when some one else breaks the rules they are accepted into the role play but when you break them, they snub you like you're nothing. I hate that with a passion and I hope some one's thread falls for that because it just happened to me scream

Pet Peeve number one.
Okay. We have all joined those war/action r/ps no? Well I have. And I have seen a lot of awesome villains fall too early in the r/ps. for some freakin reason they "Start to realize that killing isn't the answer". OMG that's annoying!! I mean, it's okay to have the villain realize what he did wrong and to probably change, but why do that so freakin early?? Without a pure evil character, there is no war, so what would be the soul purpose of the r/p then?? >:[

Pet Peeve number two.
Sorry, but I hate noob r/ps. Don't know what they are? Well let me explain. Noob r/ps are when they only have 2 or 3 sentences describing the story, when they only have about 4 rules to none at all, or when they have skeletons with a name, age, and appearance. Oh, and did I mention that they post 3 times in a row with one liners? no? Well now you know what a noob r/p is. I absolutely hate them. And some noob r/ps happen to have awesome stories and stuff, but their filled with one-liner r/pers! Being a literate r/per is hard, because you always have to find a r/p area that you believe you belong in. They can be pretty hard to find...

Pet Peev number three.
I hate r/p threads that have a lazy owner. When you make a r/p thread, that means you have the responsibility in taking care of the r/pers within the thread as well as keeping it active. I hate lazy owners who stop posting in the r/ps, then later, they ditch you. I freakin hate that. The freakin owner is breaking their own roles by ditching you and your fellow r/pers. However, I also understand that the people who join the r/ps ditch you as well. They respond to your every post, and then they just stop. The r/p stand still and is inactive for a very long time. Please gaians, if your leaving the r/p let everyone know. And also, if you ever make a r/p, please I beg of you, DONT ditch the r/pers who've joined. Those poor r/pers looked forward to a good r/p and would be disappointed your lack of...what's the word...motivation?

Strangely, all my pet peeves have to do with RPers being illogical or unreasonable.

1. When you're a minority bad guy and the "good guys" expect you to let their characters kick your character's a** over and over even though it's stated you're stronger or more experienced.
2. Lack of detail. Those sentences where people go "he grabs the sword, hops the wall and fights the bad guys."
3. The attention-whores. The princesses who are always getting kidnapped and force you to save them. The character that falls in love with yours even though they've never met. The characters in general that expect everyone else to bow to them.
4. Auto-hitting/constant dodging. I hate those god-tier characters who can't get hit and always smack you one in the face.
5. Over colored post formats. I have no problem with people prettying up their posts but I hate it when everything is done in blinding shades of pink or cyan.
6. RPs that have a posting minimum, I can understand no constant one liners but for the RPs that demand 3-7 paragraphs each post are ridiculous. Eventually people are going to start putting meaningless crap just to fill their post.
7. RPs that move at 10 pages a day. What happened to real life? gonk

New Pet Peeve

I hate favoritism. There are a lot of people who break the rules and I say nothing, I ignore a post that I did not see before hand and everyone gangs up on me and the master kicks me out in their favor. She only liked them because they were jerks just like her.

When I can't find the roleplay inside all of the images and text a person calls a 'post format' or something.

Amen.
I hate this one so much.

I do that only in 'Literate' RPs. I usually use one picture, two dividers, and a total of up to six outer-post lines. It depends on the character really. But usually I use these only when I need to add a bit of pizzazz to a post. It peeves me when someone starts using a format then abandons it without explaination. So, it's not exactly a universal peeve there. Oh well.
