Serenity was pondering what the dawrf had said when he ran off towards cries of help. She decided to stay put, he wouldn't leave her. Well, it wouldn't make any sence for him to leave her anyway since she was his ticket into the city. She hugged her shoulders and waited for his return.

Valrak nodded, "A'right then, let's go. It's never a good idea to spend too much time near the dead," the dwarf said as he started back down the road, keeping an I on his new companion. A couple moments later, they caught up with the girl again, "This here's Serenity,...Serenity, this here's The Second Victim Of The Evenin'," the dwarf introduced them with a smile in his voice.

Serenity grinned as she curtseyed, which was filled with awkward country girl charm. "Pleasure," she said softly. "And do you have an offical name?"

Walking alongside the dwarf as they reached serenity, he looked at her for a moment as she curtsied. "Nice to meet you." He bowed following her out of politeness. "I- I don't remember my name, or anything for that matter." He shook his head as if he was trying to clear it.

"What are you, a mage?" the dwarf commented, "I suggest you pick one, then, at least somethin' temporary, unless you like the name "stranger". Speaking of which, I am Valrak Battlehilt," Valrak said, then turned back to the road, "No that that's out of the way, let's go. It's gettin' late, and it's possible to walk and talk at the same time. We can trade ideas on the way."

"Stranger Hmmm...." He thought for a moment before turning to look up into the sky. "Hows Stragon sound?" He asked the two as he turned back around, not even realizing how close it sounded as 'Dragon'. Walking with the group he headed towards the town.
Upon the group reaching the town, the town guards eyed the dwarf, and watched him as they approached the town gates. The guards where dressed in steel plate mail with a white rose on the chest. Their weapons, steel spears about seven feet long. The tips where silver colored, and the handles had a rose and stem engraved in it following the shaft of the spear.
The town itself was lite with torches and candles that ones could get their hands on. It is a fairly rich town, but the lighting wasn't the best. One could see where they where walking, but could not see too far. The gates of pine wood, the most common around there. The buildings where of simple design, but the comforts that where with in them was amazing for the ones that lived there. The streets where stone. Technology apparently hasn't yet reached this town.
They crossed their spears over the gate as three came near the gate. They both ignored the Dragon-Kin(Mainly because his features are still hidden), and the Human, but they glared at the dwarf.
"What is YOUR kind coming here for Duergar?" The guard on the left just stood there and watched waiting for what would happen.

"Stragon... Stragon. Interesting, but it kinda sounds more like an action or race, but maybe. For some reason, I wanna say Regnar, but that sounds kinda orcish," Valrak commented, adding his opinion.
They approached the town just as the sun disappeared, and Valrak prepared himself for the inevitable.
"Excellent perception. This late, past the blur and helmet, this town knows how to pick it's guards. Anyway, I'm here lookin' for work," the dwarf responded, truly surprised anyone would even be able to guess his true race, without him at least removing the magical blur.

The two guards laughed. "Go work in the mine to the east, if yer looking for work." They eyed Stragon, and Serenity wondering why the two where with him, but didn't bother to ask.
The Dragon-Kin just stood back and watched. Unsure of what to do, or even say.

An evil grin appeared on the dwarf's face as the blur spell faded, his dragon armor and shield becoming clear, "Tell me. How many reports of animal attacks have there been recently."

Not too intimidated by the dwarfs dragon armor, and shield as their spears where specifically designed to pierce dragon scales from the Dragon-Kin incident. This town was still in deep fear from them even though they where thought to be extinct. Their armor however, wasn't made to take much damage, and was only for show.
"Only the u-" the guard on the right started to say but got cut short by the other one.
"Why would it matter to you dwarf?" He walked forward some, starting to act serious.

"Because I saw two wolf victims just before I got here. Because my work includes making such attacks cease. Because be it critter, goblin, lich, demon, or dragon, be they evil or deadly, of their heads, I do the baggin'," the dwarf explained his three reasons, the last one worded for both humor and intimidation, telling what he has killed, but that he was willing to kill more of. As if on cue, a bit static arced on the hammer the dwarf still had resting on his shoulder. His dark smile clearly showed he was anxious for a challenge.

The two guards just stood there as he spoke. "Sounds like you are a hunter of sorts. But still a Duergar none the less. Go look at the task board in the middle of the town. Maybe something can use some killing." The guards opened the gate for the group. "But... If you cause any trouble. I will personally deal with you."

Valrak nodded his thanks, then smiled again, more friendly this time, "Well then, friend, for your sake, I won't cause trouble," he joked as he walked through the gate. When through, his blur reactivated and he turned back to the others, "Let's see if we can find an inn... with food."

The guards didn't want to let the dwarf through but did so anyways. Closing the gate behind the group, the stood watch and looked into the night watching the forest.
"Sounds like a plan..." Looking up around himself, he watched the town. The sound of laughter could be heard coming from a few houses. The smoke from fires where billowing from chimneys as they walked past the houses.
In the middle of a town was a decent size in. About three times the size of a normal house. Talking, laughter, and the sound of a fire place could be heard from with in. The smells of meat, water, and beer was intoxicating to anyone that was traveling.
The smell made Stragon almost run to the Inn. Opening the door he smelled the air and started drooling almost instantly. Walking over to an empty table he sat down as a young woman around the age of twenty two brought a basket of bread to the table. She wore a blue dress dress that flowed down to the floor. Her hair was a golden brown that fell past her shoulders, and her blue eyes almost seemed to penetrate through anyone's soul that looked into them.
She looked at Stragon as he grabbed a piece of bread. She seemed as if she was able to look through the cloak and see who he truly was. She seemed as if she knew something about him. For anyone that was watching, it seemed as if it was an eternity that she watched him for even though it was just a brief glance before asking for what he wanted.
"Anything please." He quickly said as he took a bite of the bread and looked at the others to come join him.
