Ganon, during all this time, had quietly slung his violin and bow on a special strap around his back and had picked up his mandolin. He stood playing it, motionless but for the movements of his wrists and fingers. It was an unfamiliar tune, certainly nothing like the songs he had been playing for the crowd of children. His eye was closed as he played, and slowly the song began to pick up speed as strength and energy began to well up in Ed, his closest companion. It started in the extremities and worked its way through her body, preparing her to move like lightning in the coming fight. One could almost swear they could see a disturbance in the air around Ganon's instrument as he played a lightning-fast bolero.

A chord resounded as he finished, and he opened his eye again, looking up. "Let's go. The children need guardians in the streets." He snapped his tail and slung his mandolin comfortably across his chest on another strap, then glanced at Ed and started into the city at a moderately fast walk. Of course, a moderately fast walk for Ganon is a jog for anyone else.

Valter watched in amazement as an unfamiliar face began playing his tune, increasing in speed until his fingers were almost invisible.

"A-all right," Valter stuttered. With a quick shake of the head, the wyvern knight regained his composure and hopped on his mount. "Right, let's go."

Right as he was about to take off, Valter heard a voice behind him.

"Oh, NoMetal! Remember, Alihi told us not to wander off by ourselves!"

"Alright, if you insist. Just remember what happened to the others, "Valter replied. "... But yes. Let us go."

Once she realized what the musician was holding, Ed could only stare. Playing a song now of all times? The intent eluded her until her ears focused on the actual song. She listened to the rhythm and the pace, bewildered by how quickly he was playing that instrument, unaware of the swell of energy within her until a few seconds into the song.

Something came into the chimera's eyes as she watched him play. It was as though her eyes had gotten brighter, fiercer, more vibrant, and she soon found something coursing through her veins like a poison. But it did not have the harmful effect of poison. No, she felt herself being bolstered by the bolero, as though the fires have passion had decided to invade.

Ed allowed her eyes to wander and lifted a hand to observe. Her fingers were trembling. Her very bones quaked with energy, with frantic vigor, and as her ears focused more and more on the bolero she almost dove into its musical depths, almost losing herself in the raw fabric of what Ganon was weaving. This new spirit bounced around inside, making her absurdly restless.

Ed couldn't help herself. She started to feel giddy and decided to keep herself in check by bouncing in place. She had to release some of that energy somehow, which she did with a pump of her fist and an almost maniacal grin. She was ready to kick some a**.

"Gotcha!" she called, stealing one last glimpse at what children remained, and she bounded after Ganon with a fist itching to connect with some cheekbones.
