@ Sandrene13: Phantom of Dark Hollow is one of my favorites from middle school! <3
@svalur: Wow, we played Loch Lomond (the Ticheli version?) last year, and the Symphonic Band played Choral and Shaker Dance this year. O:
We're playing these currently in Wind Ensemble: "Vesuvius" by Frank Ticheli "Americans We" by Henry Fillmore "The Irish Washerwoman" by Leroy Anderson "Broadway Show-Stoppers Overture" arr. by Warren Barker
We're actually playing Vesuvius because it's what the band played when they went to Australia in Summer '07 (any 2010 seniors would have been freshmen if they went). They performed at the Sidney Opera House!! And got to go to Australia and New Zealand. *jealous*

My concert is tomorrow night. Let's go French Horn!!! XD Oh my good golly gosh. I was looking at all the song names, saw these and I thought, "Wow, I've played these." And then realized I posted them D: But anywho, this year we have a Disney theme so we're playing: Music from "Cars" Disney Blockbusters Music from "Aladdin" Music from "Beauty and the Beast" Music from "The Lion King" And we're playing them at Rag Tag. I'm also in Honor Band for my area and we're playing: Psalm 46 (Gag...) As Summer Was Just Beginning Lassus Trombone (Most awesomest song ever!)

we just had our concert a couple weeks ago, but we played: -Thundercrest -Havendance -March for the prince of wales -River of Life -Romeo and Juliet -themes from Doctor Zhivago -Monsters inc razz but now its all music for graduation, so its all stars and stripes forever, the banner, and then we have Kentucky 1800 and we get to play thundercrest again... which will be fun i'm sure >.>

Spring Concert was a few weeks ago.
We played..
Entry March of the Boyars - Johan Halvorsen An American Elegy - Frank Ticheli Sonoran Desert Holiday - Ron Nelson
Sonoran Desert Holiday was commissioned for a military band. It's the hardest piece we've ever played. I hated it.

Crescent the grumpy bunny my god every one plays Mars. I've played it three times, and my marching band even uses a section during foot ball games, why don't the other planets get love? any way this semester we played With heart and voice, The golden circle, a version of amazing grace, and The sword and the Crown. the rest of the planets have more important string parts that cannot be substituted by winds
