Coalan stood as he finally dried and motioned for her to lead the way. She knew the area better than he did as she explored it more than he as she did so when waiting for him to show up. He smiled as she stood and waiting to follow her.

Lyneea began to walk briskly toward the caves and began to navigate through them with a quick efficiency. As she was walking, she worked her way nimbly through the cracks and crevices and jumped gracefully over all the obstructions. After almost an hour of navigating through the caves, she finally saw the exit and walked outside, the woods before them.

Coalan smiled as he ran around a bit to stretch his legs after being in the cramped caves. "You definately know your way around those places. How many times have you been in them before now?" he asked, wondering how much time she spent exploring alone.

"I am not sure how many times, but a lot. I love exploring so much, so I spend a lot of time at it." she said, looking back at him. She too was stretching, although more for the sake of loosening her muscles. "We can head into the woods as soon as you are ready, or if you are getting hungry we can hunt first," she said.

Coalan laughed as his stomach growled. "I guess that answers your question. First one to catch a meal wins." And with that he was off in search of some food, not willing to let Lynnea beat him in everything.

Lynnea laughed and ran into the interior of the woods to try and find some game. She was not a great hunter, but eventually she caught a rabbit and then headed back toward the clearing outside the cave, the rabbit in her mouth. She slowed down as she approached, wondering if he would be back already.

Coalan was back with a pile of fish, having gone to the river to find food. He was glad he was able to beat her for once and offered her a fish. "They are really good, nice and fresh." he said with her paw up and a fish on it.

"Sure, thank you." she said, smiling as she tore some of the rabbit meat off and passed it to him. She then ate the fish slowly and ate her portion of the rabbit as well. She stood when she was done eating, and then she stretched again waiting for him to finish. She was ready to explore the forest, but she was willing to wait.

Coalan laughed at Lynnea. "I remember the time when I was running circles around you. Now it seems our roles have reversed and you are the impatient one with all the energy." He stood after he finished the last of the rabbit and fish off before stretching. "Alright, lead the way."

She lead him into the forest, leading him around all the patches with thorns so that neither one of them could get hurt. She paused briefly once of twice, to smell the area to make sure there were no predators around and then continued on. Then, she twisted suddenly onto a path, and began to walk down it. "I am not sure where this leads but i am curious."

Coalan nodded and shrugged as he marked a tree occassionally to keep them from getting lost and enabling them to find their way back to get back to their homes later on. He liked Lynnea's adventurous spirit and had no qualms about exploring unknown territory so long as she proceeded carefully.

Lynnea smiled back at him again, and then gasped. Ahead, there was a clearing with a waterfall. It was completely charming and she ran to the river beneath the waterfall. She stopped at the shore, and then noticing big rocks across the water. She started to jump across the rocks and then jumped back to shore. "This place is amazing," she said, looking over at him, her eyes glittering.

Coalan nodded and race after her, diving in and out of the waterfall to feel the water pounding on his back. "You are right. This place is beautiful. I am glad we found it. Perhaps when I become an adult I will make this place my home. It would be a nice place to live, don't you think?" he asked.

"I think so too," she said, smiling over at him. She could already picture in her mind where the den would be and where her kits could play in the future. She shook her head to clear her mind of those thoughts and then began to swim around in the river. She watched some of the fish swimming under the surface, they were brightly colored and looked like a species of trout. She laughed when one came to the surface near her and it splashed her.

Coalan smiled at the girl before him and swam around her. As he got older, he found himself less hyper and more patient, though he did still have boundless energy and was quite able to keep up with her as she swam around him in circles and got splashed by a fish. He laughs, "I guess it got you."
