"You look fine, now lets go. I have a feeling we have a long trip ahead? Its almost midday and if we don't move it we'll be stuck somewhere unpleasant. If you've traveled this river you know it goes through some...less then pleasing territory. so lets get moving." He turned, ready to start heading down the river. "And that wasn't to bad. Just need to learn to keep your lips shut and then perhaps you would have gotten me." He glanced behind him smirking. "Course, even with that...brilliant display, I'm sure i'm still better. See, herds might be well and good, but living alone, tracking and fighting Kalona and Skinwalker alike, well, thats when you get good." He laughed. "Now either you hurry up or you'll end up behind." He made a big show of getting ready to sprint, hoping to undo some of the damage he'd done.

Undine snorted in amusement as she walked past him. “If you don’t stop showing off I’ll leave you behind.” She considered her mental map of the terrain between here and her home. The only part she was truly concerned about were the rapids they would have to cross, she had barely made it across the first time. They could always go around but that would add days to an already long trip.

He rolled his eyes as the straightened and caught up with her. "You really wouldn't leave behind little ol' me now would you?" He batted his eyes comically. "So," He sobered up, moving beside her. "how long will this take?" He glanced at her. For all he knew it would be a few days, or it could be a few years. He'd never traveled to the coast, of course. He looked around and mentally groaned. There better be something besides grass to eat further down river. Should have had her grab something from his mother's...Ugh, oh well. His eyes traveled to the river. He could try fish again, if he had to. Bleck! He didn't want to do that.

“It could take a few days or a few weeks depending on are pace and path. It took me a fortnight to get here.” She stopped to look at him. “We’ll need to cross a river in a couple days that at this time of year has strong rapids, we could try crossing farther downstream but it would add at lest two days to are trip.” She glanced up at the sun and sighed. She had hoped to leave before noon and now it was after.

A few days to a few weeks. Great. Such a specific time frame. Ugh. "Well, that doesn't sound to bad." He thought for a bit. Time sake said cross at the rapids...safety said cross earlier. "How wide is this second river?" he asked, mind working to form the best plan. Getting themselves swept down stream was not a good idea. However, taking forever and a day to get to the sea was not a good idea either. "And why you stopping? We need to keep moving if its going to take so long to get there. Unless your just trying to stall and spend time with me." he smirked.

“Twice the with of this one,” she said nodding to the river she was standing next to. She started to walk again. “In case you haven’t noticed its starting to get late. We wont be able to go to far today unless your planning to continue after dark.” She smirked. “Spend more time with you? Why my Lord, just what kind of mare do you take me for?” she asked trying not to laugh.

Twice? Well then, perhaps it would be wise to cross sooner. He'd think on it more. He moved along beside her. "And why wouldn't we? we've been rested enough. Unless your scared of the dark." He glanced to the sky to see how much time they'd have. "you arn't scared of the dark, are you?" He looked at her again. Last thing he needed was babysitting the headstrong mare cause she was scared of every bump in the night! And what kind of mare indeed. "Well, i havn't had the pleasure of taking you for anything, so i'll have to get back to you on that." Part of him hoped she didn't pick up on the crude perverted humor, the other part of him wanted to see her reaction.

“Of course I’m not scared of the dark,” she said annoyed. What a ridiculous thing to ask. “I just don’t want to risk breaking anything going over not very well know terrain when sight is lessened.” She snorted in amusement. “Don’t get ahead of yourself now.”

"Me, get ahead of myself? Never." He laughed. "Are you that insecure about your abilities? or were you never "trained" to move at night? Really" He rolled his eyes. "We keep moving after dark. As long as we don't walk along the forest's edge, we shouldn't have to worry to much about being attacked without warning." He glanced at her. "Any other worries?"

With a glare she broke out into a trot. Going for a stroll on the beach at night was a favorite past time of hers but she knew every dip and turn there. If it was a full moon she wouldn’t be concerned but that moon had already past and the new moon was inching nearer. "If your in such a hurry to get there then keep up," she called back.

He rolled his eyes and trotted to catch up. "And i'll take that as a no." She really was antsy about this trip wasn't she? "Ya know, if I knew you were gonna be such a bother i might not have come." Really, where did the personality switch come from. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, much? He snorted. No, that was him. He caught up and trotted alongside her. "Why are you so pissy?" He question. Where was a surprising lack of malice and intent to annoy. It was, amazingly, just curiosity in his voice. He wasn't trying to antagonize her, at that moment, he was trying to figure her out.

Undine slowed until they where walking side by side. “Its been awhile since I was home and I didn’t exactly leave under the best circumstances.” She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye and sighed softly. “I guess I’m a little nervous about going home.” She continued walking quietly along lost in thought.
