Sirius shrugged, "Cooking, not my thing. That's why we have Kreacher, just as bad as my parents I swear." he rolled his eyes and went back to the subject of his brother, "I don't care how smart Regulus is, only that his room is plastered with the Dark Mark. He's probably one of the only people in my family I even remotely care for, and I guess I'm worried." he shrugged and looked up as the Sorting began.

Molly laughed, a carefree joyous sound, "it's not cooking you need to be into, it's food." As any other pure breed family, the Prewetts had their own house elves, but Molly always looked forward to cooking dinner at home. She had befriended them as much as possible (since some were just like every other house elf) when they taught her to cook, but overall they worked separately.
She had hoped to pull Sirius away from his worry for his brother. 'I understand though,' she thought, glancing at her own for a moment. Her brothers had taught her how to fly a broomstick, helped her transfiguration, and got her out of trouble at home. If there was even the slightest possibility she was losing one of them; it would be the only thing she could think about. A part of her wondered why he was telling her. Did James, Remus and Peter know? But she knew the answer. Molly was trustworthy. She was the kind of person everyone told their problems to because she could always help. But right now, she didn't know how.
She rubbed his back gently, able to ignore the spell he seemed to cast over her whenever she was around him, and think of him only as a friend. "Try talking to him. As a friend more than a worried big brother. Don't pressure him," she reached up and squeezed his shoulder, "I know you're worried, but you have to let it be a conversation." She turned her attention slightly towards the first years she had met on the train, knowing from her brothers that boys needed their space sometimes after emotional moments.
Andromeda's chocolate brown eyes surveyed the room in search of her sisters. They had gone to the bathroom to freshen up while Dromeda found Sirius. Her gaze just happened to pick up her cousin, and at first she wasn't surprised to see a girl's arm around him. Like the rest of the Blacks, he was gifted with looks gods envied. It was the red hair that caught her off guard. It took her a moment to decide whether it was a Wealsey or that girl, Molly Prewett. Realizing it was the latter, she frowned slightly. Though a pure breed, she was not from a very traditional family. The thought made her laugh, it wasn't as if Andromeda could criticize him. At least she was pure breed. And even if she wasn't, Sirius would not remain in the family after graduating. Either way, she would have to talk to him about it. And maybe she could mention her problem...maybe. She could at least trust him to keep it from their family.

Sirius nodded, "I know, I just don't get the chance. I'm always being watched." he glanced up at his cousin breifly and looked back at Molly, "Exhibit A." he muttered. Sirius clapped methodically everytime the hat shouted "Gryffindor!", but he wasn't really paying attention, "Well, how was your summer? Do anything special?"

Moony waited a few minutes in the bathroom, he washed his filthy hands and fixed his hair. He could be a little extensive when it came to personal grooming. The cut on his cheek bone was dark and prominent so took out a bandage and placed it carefully over the scrape. After making sure he looked okay the boy made his way to the great hall, A smile overcame his lips when he saw Molly's arm around Sirius. He sat down quietly on the other side of the girl so that she was sandwiched in between himself and his friend. "Lovely to see you Molly." He commented softly and placed his hand over her own patting it gently.
Lilly moved when she saw Molly, "Molls!" She called and sat across from teh girl. "Molly! I trust you had a nice holiday?" She asked her green eyes sparkled to hear what she had done.

Molly shrugged a little, "Nothing special, I'm considering to try out for the Chaser position that opened up when Gary Bell graduated." She repeated her shrug but this time it was accompanied with a sigh. She had been practicing with her brothers, Gideon the Keeper and Fabian a Beater. But the Quidditch team was incredible, having the best record ever since James started playing. Still, she did not believe trying out would be that embarrassing, as long as Sirius wasn't there.
Paying close attention to the Sorting, Molly jumped slightly when she heard her name. Pulling her arm away from Sirius quickly, she said softly as well--not wanting to disturb the sorting, "You too, Remus." She was trying not to blush, and failing miserably.
She was grateful for the distraction, and grinned at her friend, "Yeah, it wasn't too exciting, Gideon and Fabian helped me work on flying." She shrugged, looking down humbly and said, "I'm hoping to try out for the team." Not wanting to hear her say it was silly, she quickly continued, "And you? were did you go?" Muggles seemed to always take vacations, and they were so different. It was rare for the Prewetts to waste the money on a vacation, though last year they went to China.

Sirius noticed Molly blush and raised an eyebrow. He said nothing, as to avoid embarressing her. Sirius girnned at Remus and winked, he chuckled and shook his head. He looked up as the last person was sorted and Dumbledore stood up and started his speech. He rolled his eyes at the listing of the rules and clapped as he started the feast. Sirius grinned at the plates as food appeared on the large platters.

Lilly nodded. "we went to Bath, Only for two weeks though, It was really nice." She giggled and winked to the girl. "I was thinking of trying out too! If I make it we can practice together!" The girl was beaming with happiness, She loved Molly, She was so kind and smart, everything she needed in a friend.
Remus grinned when the food appeared, He piled his plate high with delicious snacks, His own mother was not that great of a cook and Hogwarts food was the best he had ever tasted. He glanced over at Sirius and shrugged. He was not quite sure what the wink was for he would have to ask later.

Though Molly preferred cooking her own meals, the house elves at Hogwarts were magnificent. They made food Molly could only imagine. Picking a piece of ham with an outstanding glaze--she would kill for the recipe, she nodded to Lily, "That'd be great, I mean, I don't know if I'm good enough, but it can't hurt to try." She did have the advantage of her brothers, who were very skilled helping her too. "Maybe James can help also."
Andromeda barely bothered to clap as the new Slytherins found their seats. She caught her sisters' eyes, shaking them slightly at the boring event. Only when a cute little first-year was sorted into their house did they truly clap. She was grateful when it was over, and began to eat. She always had to watch her figure, but the feasts at Hogwarts were irresistible.

Lilly shook her head. "I'm sure that you will make it! Absolutely sure, and we don't need James’s help. He's to much of a bully to be of any help at all." She rolled her bright green eyes and took a sip of her pumpkin juice. The sweet liquid was cool and refreshing, she savored the taste as it rolled over her tongue. Then she took one of the sweet rolls from a basket and a forkful of turkey, placing them both onto her plate.
Remus listened closely to the girl's conversation and laughed when she called James a bully. He truly was a bully but there was not much he could do about it. "You know... I could help if you needed me. I'm not completely useless on a broom." He placed his hand gently on Molly's shoulder and met her eyes with his own.

Sirius twitched when he heard Lily call James a bully. He didn't like it when others judged him or his friends, especially when he knew the judgement was true. Then he snorted when he heard Lily was trying out for the team. He swallowed the turkey he had stuck in his mouth and started choking on it in fits of laughter, when he got the turkey down he looked up at Lily, "You're trying out for the team? Why?!" he couldn't imagine the girl riding a broom through a game, and even when he could, she was hit full in the face with the quaffle she had been aiming to catch. Which, of course, made him laugh harder.
Anthony began eating and continued his conversation about the World Cup. He was frowning and shaking his head, when the conversation turned to the school's teams. Anthony smiled, "I think I'm going to join the team. As the seeker, you know. I have great eyesight and great reflexes, making me a great choice for the seeker position." he claimed loudly, so half the table turned and looked at him, including the year's team captain.

Lilly turned to glare at Sirius with an icy, murderous glare. "Yes I'm trying out! And Because I want to! That's why!" She rolled her eyes at his laughter and took another sip of her pumpkin juice. "I happen to have very good balance..." She commented a little quieter, her eyes cast down on her plate.
"Are you sure that you’re cut out for That kind of... brutality Lilly?" Remus asked a little worry in his voice, he would hate to see the girl get hurt if she was knocked off her broom by a bluger. He was eating quickly as if he had not eaten for a few days… he hadn’t.

Sirius laughed even harder, "It's not about your flying! The idea of you and Prongs working together is just bloody brilliant!" he explained. He was still laughing, "Plus you might be hit with a bludger, or a quaffle for that matter." he was laughing uncontrollably, the picture of Lily being hit in the face by a quaffle was stuck in his mind.

Lilly had forgotten that James was already on the team..."I can work with anyone I want, I..Uh..." She couldn't think about how this would work out, if James was on the team she would be too annoyed to do anything! "And I'm not some easily breakable figurine! I can play Just as good as anyone else!" She held up her fist and grinned.

Sirius was stuggling to breath. He had all but fallen off the bench laughing at Lily, "Yeah, and my parents love me!" he barely got out before he was laughing too hard to say anything intellegent.

Remus couldn't help but chuckle, he had a point. "You know maybe it's not such a good idea...." He put a hand across his mouth to cover his sharp smile.
Lilly's face was flushed with annoyance. She stood jumping out from behind the bench so that she could stand tall. "Shut up Sirius!" She crossed her arms. "Really! I can work with James!" She was no longer using logic; she just knew that she had to win this argument. The girl’s veins were almost popping out of her neck.
