Melphina happily took the pile of music and walked back out of Mr. Harbor's office. "You can count on me, sir!!" she said rather enthusiastically. She walked back into the main band hall with her clarinet in one hand and the music sheets in the other. Placing her instrument on her chair at the head of her section, she continued to approach a group of her friends that had accumulated near a new girl.
"Hey guys," she called to them with a smile, "Guess what I got?" She pointed to the show music they would soon be playing. "Come get your music!!"

Marite nodded. "I don't mind" She said with a smile. Soon Marita noticed Kall walking up to her. "Uhh...Nice to meet you.My name's Marita" She said slightly nervously. Though she was less nervous around Nathaniel now she was still a little shy around people. Especially people who just randomly come up to her. She then heard Mephilina say she has the music. "Ummm I'll go get our music!" She offered. "What part do you need?" She asked.

"That's right I forgot to tell you what instrument I play. I'm the tuba section leader so I need the tuba part. And thanks." Nate's instrument had totally slipped his mind in trying to make Marita feel less nervous.
"I have the score so thank you anyways." Sensing Marita's obvious nervousness around him, Kall decided to go back to his stuff and organize his music and drill charts. No need in making her feel more uncomfortable, She'll get used to me sooner or later.

Melphina turned towards the direction of the voice of a younger girl. I don't think I've noticed her before..., Melphina thought. Then again, it's not like I notice many things...
She smiled at the girl as she apprached her. "Did you need your music?" she asked politely.

Marita got up and nodded at Nathaniel. "Section leader. That's awesome!" She complimented. She walked over to Mephilina. "Umm....Hi and Yes! Do you have the Bass Clarinet and Tuba parts?" She asked.

"Sure do," Melphina answered the girl. She started looking for the parts, meanwhile striking up a conversation with the girl. "Excuse me for my rudeness but," she began, "I don't believe I've had the pleasure of your name yet." She came across the Bass Clarinet music at that point and handed it to the girl. "My name is Melphina, by the way," she said with a smile, "Clarinet section leader at your service!"

Marita took the music. "Thanks" she said with a smile. "My name's Marita" She introduced herself. "Nice to meet you" She added. "Clarinet section leader ehh....I'll make sure I'll go to you if I have problems then....." She said.

"Yup, any questions, feel free to ask me!" Melphina said enthusiastically, "I can't guarantee I'll have all the answers, but I can try." She kept looking through the music until she found the tuba music and handed her the first part music. "I assume this is for Nate, right?" He's the only tuba here... She handed her the music and organized the rest again. "It's a pleasure meeting you Marita."

"Yeah its a reall bump up from being a slave last year!" Nate started laughing again, last year's tuba section leader was horrible, Nate was basically his slave. Can't let memories of that idiot ruin my good time this year. Nate thought to himself.
As Kall flipped through his charts and drills for what seemed like the hundreth time since he got them two weeks ago, he began to notice something, the band is already starting to form individual groups. THe bass instruments, and the drummers. I wonder if it will be this way when the entire band gets here. Kall silently pondered this then went back to examining his drill chart, waiting for band camp to officially begin.

Addie tilted her head back far enough to see his face, smiling up at him while squinting from the bright lights now in her eyes. "You on snare this year?" she asked, watching his drumsticks move. Finding the rythm in it, Addie started tapping her fingers on one of the stands, making a counter part that could be pulled off with a realy good quad player and possibly a bass drum line. Thinking about how they could make it into a cadence for this year, she heard Melphina calling out for parts and walked over, still thinking the part sheh ad made up in her head as she walked. If we could get a full line this year, maybe we could pull it off with alot of drilling... she thought, stopping behind who she pressumed to be a new girl. "Hey Melphina." she said happily before turning to the new girl. "Hi, I'm Addie, Addie-Rose, Adalyn... really whatever you'd like to call me." she said with a small laugh and a bright smile.

Marita put her music on her stand and looked through the music. She was about to take out her Bass Clarinet to warm up and start playing the music until Addie walked up to her. "Umm hello I'm Marita" She said with a shrug. "I guess Addie's easier for me so I'll call you Addie!" She said just to let her know. "Oh my god everyone is friendly. It's kinda creepy......" She thought with a shiver. She liked the attention but it just felt so awkward!

Nate noticed the shiver from Marita, and leaning over told her, "Don't be nervous, all of these people just want to be friends." Then talking to Addie he added "What are you playing this year?"
Kall couldn't contain his silence anymore, it was driving him insane. Kall walked over to Zack and decided to strike up a conversation. "Zack, nice Green Onions. Very good."

Amanda Jones
While they talked, Amanda`s attention was divided between her bright yellow polishing cloth and their conversation. She laughed at Zach`s joke, her fingers nimbly pushing between the keys. She could see him admiring her instrument out of the corner of her eye, and she couldn`t help but feel a little proud. She liked to keep her instruments in top shape; her bari sax at home was at least seven years old, but it look brand new because of Amanda`s care. She tore her attention away from polishing at Zach`s question. "I came from Halloway High School, in Ryan, Texas. The band there was pretty strict, more of a military style band than one like this, no offense." She smiled at him toothily, fiddling with the cloth in her hands as she talked. "I`d lived in Ryan since I was five. It`s a pretty new experience to move to a new place, like this." Leonard Ashby
Keeping up a steady rythm on the drum table, he eyed Addie`s face, taking a moment to memorize the beat he was making up before he continued. "Nope, I`m on quads this year. Snare, times four." He joked, abandoning the rythm for a bored twirl as he followed Addie towards Melphina. He noticed Addie latch directly onto the new girl; not his favorite thing to do, really. He ignored the girl and turned his attention to Melphina, in favor of his new music. "D`you know what music we`re gettin` this year?" He asked curiously, lazily twirling a stick in one hand while the other tapped out half a rythm on his thigh. Hopefully they`d have something more drumline-oriented this year; last year`s had been a bit dull, even though he had been playing flute at the time. Didn`t mean he couldn`t leech music off of last year`s percussionists.

Looks like Marita made friends! She was happy that wasn't nervous at all.
"SO, Mr.Harbor..When are we gonna start?" Luna asked.

"Luna, are you prepared for this?" Kall asked her as non-chalantly as possible. Kall was ready, he had been preparing ever since the last year ended.
