Soma had misjudged his opponent. Ever since the shinigame had used his Banki, Validus had kept his eyes closed, relying only on his other senses in the darkness. As the first particle attacked Validus he would swing his arm at it, a sword of pure reishi in his hand that obliterated the particle. After that Soma would use his unnatural speed to slice away the particles one by one, destroying each on completely when the impacted his Cero sword, for that is what it was.
Without waiting more than a handful of seconds Validus would appear next to one of the particles, moving at around 80% now, and slice in to it, causing a huge explosion that would completely destroy most of the pillar, and then using the small window to escape the box.
This is where Soma had made a fatal mistake, he had spoke. If Some had stayed quiet Validus would not have known where he was in the darkness, as it stood Validus' advanced hearing was able to easily pick up the exact location of his opponent. Validus would then preform something on the similar lines of the sonido, except this time it was faster, much faster. The captain would not have time to react to it and the next thing that he would know was that a glowing sword was inches from the front of his neck while Validus stood behind him. "Don't move. The game is over, I won. Your fate... is life." In a small spark of energy the sword would vanish from Validus' hand, leaving the Shinigame where he stood, unharmed. "No release your banki. I don't want to force it off myself."
The facts were in. An arrancar had just had Soma in a killing position, and had refused to take it. It wasn't hesitation, it wasn't cowardess, Validus' had simply not killed the shinigame for his own reasons. The shinigame had seen 100+% of his total speed, with every skill he knew or had a theory on, Validus' version of a reward for his opponent that had been honorable, and skilled. If soma knew of Validus' past, it was not pity or arrogance that Validus' was showing, but respect. In the Gladiator arena one that fought bravely with his skill has released to live, even if he lost. While Validu's figured that Soma was holding back, but so had he for the majority of the fight. And as it stood, Validu's was using roughly 50-60% of his Resurrections spiritual power.
(That skill that is faster than Sonido is not in my profile yet. In RP it is only a theory right now for Validus, one that he just tested out on you, but dose not know if, or what the draw backs are yet.)

 As Validus appeared infront of Soma, it was simple if it was to kill then it was his time to die yet in the end Validus allowed for Soma to live in this fight. Soma didn't understand why so he decided to ask Validus why he allowed him to live.
"Validus, from what I know this was your win and you could have killed me, why didn't you kill me an move on to the next Captain. What is it that your were trying to achieve."
Soma didn't completely use all of his power or his bankai ability. There was still two other bankai techniques that Soma never used against Validus. Yet one of them Soma was about to use. It was his own mistake that ended the battle the way it did. Soma knew this and he would make sure that next time he wouldn't fall prey to the arrancars attack.

 For a moment Vlidus was quiet, and then he spoke in a strong voice. "It is simple... you are a brave warrior and didn't flinch when I held my life in your hands. You fought hard, but accepted death if it was your time to die. These are things I respect more than anything else, and just because you are shinigame, don't mean I can not respect you, Soma Inuzaya of the 5th court guard squad." With that Validus lowered himself to the ground with his Reiashi, landing without a sound before becoming completely still, clutching his legs tightly with both hands. 'I see... so by using that...'
As he did this Validus' spiritual pressure would begin to rise higher until it was something that the captain could not compete with in combat, warning him that to attack now was to die. This would last only for a few moments before Validus stood strait again, apprantly fine once more. "As for your other questions, those captains in the soul society would not fight fair. In their home you hold no honor, deciding to fight many on one if chances of victory are improved. Here, you are forced to fight honorably, like men." Soma might realize that Validus had neglected to answer the question about what he was trying to achieve."

Soma seen it as an interesting when Validus spoke. Soma just listen it was odd to Soma though. Validus didn't answer the question on what he was trying to achieve. Yes, Validus increased his reiatsu to a point that Soma couldn't reach now. If Soma was like the former 5th Division Captain Aizen he might be able to achieve it. Then again who said Soma wasn't completely gaining that power himself. There was something about Soma that didn't quiet feel right in the eyes of other shinigami. Yet no one could put there fingers on it.
"So what are you trying to achieve Validus. There has to be something that you want to achieve that other hollows haven't done yet."
Soma lowered his reiatsu, as he did that he continued to float in the air as both Doragon and Hebi formed again. Once the finished forming Soma sheathed them back into there sheaths. It was simple Soma was gaining information for something he might have use for later on.

 'He is different... he is actually trusting me not to attack... interesting.' Instead of answering the question however Validus' cape would swirl around him before falling down in to the shape of his normal cloak. "Why is it so important that you know what I want? I have gained powers of shinigame, is it that you wish to gain the powers of a hollow, or is it something more?" If soma wanted to play this game, fine, let him him.

Soma smiled as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes without moving. Each word ran through his head as he listened to Validus. The powers of a hollow have been seen already Soma wasn't interested in that. Soma wanted the power that Aizen had he actually wanted power to destroy those who stood in his way. Most of the Captains hated him but, he was the only one with the information to tell them about the first espada that has just arrived on the scene.
"Im seeking something that really can't be achieved. Powers of a Hollow don't interest me right now. I see it like this if I can achieve a power greater than bankai that is something that will put me over the top."
Soma opened his eyes slowly as he looked off into the distance where his 5th seat and the human were standing at. It wasn't easy but, Soma had a plan. Old Man Yata has his work cut out for Soma and yet Yata might have even known that.

"....mmmm...." With that low hum Validus turned and began walking away. "The power that Aizen has... its not shinigame, I can tell you that much. How he achieved it, I could tell you, but I won't for several reasons, the first of witch is that I would have to kill you." This was in part a lie. Validus didn't know the exact details of Aizen's power, but he did have a general idea of what they were, and how he got them to that level. "At your current state, you are nothing Soma."

Soma looked at Validus and smiled and then laughed a little. The problem with what Validus said was that he called Soma nothing. Being that Soma didn't bring out his full bankai attack meant there was something more to Soma that alot of people didn't know. Soma uncrossed his arms and looked into the sky above him.
"Nothing is always something to someone Validus. If im nothing to you then im something to someone. The power I hold now might not be enough to defeat you. Yet, you haven't seen my full power and I haven't seen yours. There is more to both of us than you may know. I can say this though. I have my own goals and plans that will be achieved no matter what. My former Captain, Toshiro Hitsugaya realized my power and realized something in me. He was the one who brought me to the Soul Society to be a shinigami."
Soma wasn't about to go into a deep story and he didn't feel that he needed to his wound in his right shoulder was enough to hault that shoulder but, it wouldn't stop Soma at all. He was a captain a young age but, he wasn't weak.

"You misunderstand. To me, you are a potential opponent of the future, if you get stronger. To Aizen... no, no Aizen, your less than nothing." The fact that Validus had just, in a way, told Soma exactly how powerful Aizen was compared to him would speak loads of the man and of his true strength. "I will see you in the future captain." Without a backwards glance Validus vanished completely from the area.

Stepping from the Senkaimon as it appeared, Shinji was finally in the Human Realm. He looked around after door-like portal disappeared. It was obvious the hollow have already started much of their rampage. 'Guess I shouldn't have been sleeping...'

Soma smiled as hearing Aizen's name meant nothing to him. He was worried more about how he could get revenge on the person the espada in due time. Soma's power was indeed weaker than Aizen then again his was just starting to become a Captain.
"Aizen is stronger than me by all means. The only thing about him and me is that he is becoming weak and has run into hiding while im out getting stronger and getting ready to kill him and the Espada and hollows. Next time Validus, next time we fight it will be to the death."
Soma stood in the air waiting for Kazei to appear in the area. Soma need to speak to Kazei about somethings outside of the seireitei and this was just the place to do it.

Shinji scratched the top of his head after hearing the last portion of what Soma said. "So dramatic..." He stated it somewhat under his breath, still easily being able to be heard by anyone around him. Shinji began walking towards Soma. Seeing as he was superior in rank to Shinji, even though Shinji found nothing superior about him, he was kind of aiming for th captain to tell him what to do or at least give hi ma status report on what has happened so far.

Standing atop one of the more larger sloping hills stood the sixth division Captain, Kazei. He watched from afar watching the battle from the minute Soma and the arrancar began locking heads to the moment Soma was forced to sheath his zanpaktou. This arrancar was very powerful, that munch he had to admit. However there had been a munch more powerful force out there, but that was another story. From there, he vanished from sight using shunpo and reappeared next to Soma. His body didn't let out even the slightest of reiatsu. No hint of threat or hostility leaving him. He only stood there pocketing his hands casually.
"So the great Soma quits against this kid? You don't really believe he's as powerful as he says he is eh buddy? This kid may be number one espada in order but trust me not in rank. I'd probably give him the ranking range from number five to six, yep that's about right."
He released one hand from his pocket and tossed a candy wrapper away before popping a lollipop into his mouth. The truth had finally been revealed about this arrancar. At this point there were two vasta lorde in karakura town. They're spiritual pressures could be clearly felt at this point. As a master of tactician, he had already analyzed the situation a many steps ahead of most of the shinigami here. It was common sense that this arrancar was weaker than the other vasta lorde before arrancar stage. Should the others remove their masks any time soon, their power would far exceed this arrancar by far.
"Sorry kid, you're a thousand years too early to be removing your mask before your superiors remove their own." He sighed slurping on the candy. "To cut a long story short............you're weak."
He said quite bluntly rummaging the lollipop around to the other cheek letting his hands return to his pockets once again. This arrancar in particular truly gave Kazei no interest. In fact the menos grande captured more of his attention. They were the very reason he was here in the first place. The vasta lorde seemed to be organized and more on top of their game than anything. It was the large menos grande that had no real intelligence. Which made them a little more dangerous to the city. It was their stupidity and clumsiness that made them a problem, kinda like this arrancar here.

Shinji sighed as the Captain arrived. He had a few things that he'd like to say about his statement, but didn't let it escape his mouth. It didn't matter. From what Shinji could tell and based on prior knowledge, neither of these captains could take on the Vasto Lorde...not the one that was revealing one of the largest sources of Riatsu he had ever felt. He could even tell the Vasto Lorde wasn't even close to being at full capabilities either. 'Doesn't really seem like i'm needed here...'
