"I'm sure you don't want your tendons cut without breaking flesh, my dears."
- Gankona Naosu, Squad Four Taicho

A smile and a nod to Mi young, and a wink to Karume, the Fourth Division Captain placed herself before the old, wise, man before her. With a moment of silence, a sigh escaped the woman as she glided to the seat to the right of the man, holding the items she had been given and was asked to deliver in her lap, with her hands hidden within her sleeves. "Now then young Naosu, speak and let your opinion be known to this old man..." It brought a quiet smile to her lips before she pondered upon a way to approach the subject. Lips pursed together in thought, her hand raising up and out from her extremely long sleeves, the pale slender fingers fiddling with a lock of silver hair. "Yata-sama, I'm not quite sure how to respectively approach this subject, let alone bring it up...As you know, from the meeting we have just held, there was an obvious tension between our divisions, yes? Well, it's expected to have some sort of tension, but not one of this caliber within this time..." She started, pursing her lips together once again to ponder on her words. "I'm not quite sure why Soma-kun and Kazei-kun took the lead on today's meeting. And by the looks of things, Soma-kun is acting a bit more...rambunctious, than necessary...And he dismissed Karume-chan's words earlier...I understand that as the Fifth Division Taicho, he would lead this discussion, but the way he went about to address the late Taicho's was a bit...out of line?"

A sigh escaped her lips as her hand disappeared within her sleeve once again, the woman placing it upon her forehead for a moment, trying to think properly. "Each Captain has his or her own pride, and each captain has his or her own place in any meeting. I personally believe Soma-kun went out of line in the meeting, addressing Ike. I can understand that it's a bit unreasonable to be late to a Captain's meeting as one is a Captain, but Soma-kun, Kazei-kun, Karume-chan, Mi young, all captains, have no right to address him of that matter...We have no authority in that section to fouly address our peers." Naosu sighed once again, rubbing her temples for a moment before slipping in a piece of star candy into her mouth once again to calm her nerves a bit.

"Ahh..Old Man Yata, I suppose my main concern is the power each Captain holds...Perhaps a reminder might need to be set in place, as Soma seems it's his duty to be the leader and expect other Captains, such as Shiori-Taicho, to follow his lead...I'm sure it's reasonable for him to have authority to some extent in this current mission...Although, I believe it might be right to ensure the fact he knows his place as he only holds power over his division and his subordinates, which do not include any other Captains..."

An old chuckle escaped the Old Man's lip followed by a curl of a smile from within his lengthy beard "Ah the joys of youth, how it is wasted on the fool hearty and the impatient. I know you're concerns well, Young Soma stretches his ambition too far like a snake, however he does not know how close that ambitious neck is to my own blade. Despite this I am bound. Unless others also profess this opinion I am tied. It will simply boil down to an affair of he said, she said, and assumptions of duty. These old eyes and seen many things spark such matters, all ending in far worse scenarios. This is a matter which must be solved amongst the captains themselves. I may be the first, but I am far from their caretaker and mother. On your question of why I allowed them to take the lead in the meeting today, it was of personal choosing." Old Man Yata gave no other explanation of that matter, instead he only reached out with his hand, lighly passing it through Naosu's hair before ruffling it gently. "Should any captain over extend their reach and endanger the lives of any of our Society, I promise you I will be the first there to strike them with everything I am." Setting his hand back down into his own lap he simply turned his head back towards the exit as if gazing at something far and away. "I hope what I said has cleared up any of your doubts Young Naosu, it is the best that this Old Man can offer."

"I'm sure you don't want your tendons cut without breaking flesh, my dears."
- Gankona Naosu, Squad Four Taicho

Naosu couldn't help but lean into his hand that ruffled her hair like a child would or perhaps a dog to it's master. She had always favored the petting and patting she recieved when she had been human. Perhaps that's why her childish actions stayed with her, even through her soul life. A small sigh and a gentle smile, the woman simply nodded her head at the Old Man's words. She assumed as much. But at least she had the small comfort of knowing that he was acknowledging it. and the reason why he allowed Soma to lead was of personal choosing, it didn't satisfy her, but she'd say nothing. Him allowing an audience with her and simply comforting her concerns was enough for the light-hearted woman.

"Hai, Yata-sama. It has, and I do believe I'm not the only one believing this, Karume-tai too but, thank you once again for having an audience with me...These are from Mi young-Taicho, and this from myself. Enjoy light sweets for the remainder of the evening, perhaps?" A gentle smile from the silver-haired woman came as she slowly stood up, placing the package from Mi Young and a small bottle of her chocolate stars she had recieved not too long ago. "I believe this is the end of our conversation, I shall see and speak to you some other time then, Old man. Arigatou, Ja~"

She had dropped the formalities, and was reverting back to her casual, laid-back, and light-hearted deamore, which would benefit everyone. A smile tucking her lips, the woman brushed herself off with her extremely long sleeves and bowed to the old man before giving him a smile and exiting off towards her sweet division, heading to the Kaiteki-sa for a few drinks.

Shiro walked in late as usual, as the Lt of 1st division he did all the normal captain duties for his division. His white coat hung from his shoulders, it was clear that he really did not care that he was late. He really just didn't care, it wasn't that he didn't want to help people or that he didn't care about his duties. It was his ever degrading vision and the coming blindness.

Rednal calmly walked into the White Castle, as usual a Shinigami of no real importance but still one of those little worker drones that kept everything. "The report for the events in Karakura Town is complete." he said calmly, placing a sheaf of papers down on a table within arms reach of the Captain-Commander. The report was, of course, his observations from actually being there... part of his job as a member of 10th Division and hence being fairly big on paperwork things. Of course, the interesting part of the report was the fact that it would paint a slightly different picture of events than any recordings might. It did not, of course, contain details on every conversation, but it did make notes on who attacked who, who killed what, and things of that nature. After saluting the Captain-Commander, Rednal left the chamber, a slight smile on his face. He had only been able to piece together some of what had happened; mainly what his refined senses were capable of detecting. Now that the document was in the right hands, however, it ought to serve as a catalyst to make things interesting in Soul Society. For all his closely held secrets, Rednal was loyal to Soul Society; or, rather, its duties, which involved protecting innocent souls. There were plenty of people who could manage the important duties; he was mostly just a forgotten relic of an ancient age... but it probably wouldn't hurt to give them a nudge in the right direction and let them take over for everything else. For the most part, Rednal didn't care what happened. This was their time, so they ought to be the ones who decided what happened. It seemed likely that he would outlive them all, what with the things that happened to him. 'Gilgamesh' was a fun identity to have... he could relax and fade away into obscurity. And in the meantime...

Emiya Shiro walked into the castle and put on a white robe, he hated what he was about to do. He was about to take control of all Soul Society in the absence of someone he thought a fool. However this was not the way he wanted it. He wanted to best Yata himself, not get lucky and have someone else do it. He walked to the window of the castle which over looked the stairs leading up to the castle. And watched as flocks of Shingiami poured into the castle headed to the Auditorium, he planned to give his speech there to all soul society, the word would be passed through out Rukongai and to the nobles as well as the king of shinigami by way of the black butterflies.

"The Fact that you believe that you can even begin to handle a position such as that of the first is once again another reason of how our great society is falling. You have neither the age, power, nor wisdom to even consider the responsibility of such a position. " There stood Yata at the door way, his body beaten, scarred with wounds of new and old, and bloodied. "It would appear that rumors of my death spread far to quickly, especially considering no one bothered to even check to see if I were alive, yet another failure of one who is blinded by ambition. " Yata stood straight through sheer force of unimaginable will as he stared down the young foolish Shingami. "Leave this place now, Go fetch Captains Soma, Oruga, and Aisu and I suggest you do it in a hurry boy, your own life may now be hanging in the balance." From behind his back Yata pulled forth Hibiki, gripping the Taiko sticks firmly in his hands, stareing down the foolish boy with a look of nothing but pure furious anger. Even as wounded as he were, Yata would not hesitate to put the boy down into the earth itself to prove his point.

He didn't even turn to face the old man, it was clear he was still breathing but weak. However Shiro was an honorable man, he would not fight a man weakened to such a sad state. He turned and through his cloak off it was his cloak too, it bore the lieutenant symbol on the back not the captain symbol. "Old man you are a fool, though i will not take you place with out honor." He walked to the door but just before exiting he spoke. "Though I will take it once you are stronger." He left and it was obvious he intended to gather the captains as asked of him. A squad four medical team would rush in behind him to tend to Yata's wounds.

As the doors opened a thick chilled mist rolled into the room surrounding a figure which looked like the 13th Taicho. Simply sighing he advanced over to Yata looked upon him seeing his wounds.

"Yata-Sama I am really sorry about your wounds, I got a message that you need something of me. How might I be able to assist you?"

Aisu said simply smiling slightly as he looked towards Yata feelign sorry that he could not assist him with his wounds.

(( He doesn't necessarily need to talk to Shadow... ^^ ))

Rednal wandered into the chamber, looking faintly annoyed. "I swear, I'm the only one in my Division who does anything at all..." he grumbled to himself. He sighed, then looked up again. "Well, damage report." he said, pulling out a paper from his files. "Hmm... well, some moderately important people dead, an important building flattened... the damage to morale is greater than the damage to fighting strength, really." he said, flipping the paper over to look at the back. "For whatever reasons, the traitors and the intruder didn't bother to really wreak havoc on Soul Society, and from how arrogant they were acting, they probably think they did more damage than actually happened. More to the point, I have a suggestion from 10th Division. Some people feel that it may be time to start research on the creation of Vizard; as events today showed, Soul Society is not all-powerful, and while the use of Hollow Powers is generally forbidden, it's not without precedent to have such entities on the side of Soul Society. Few people have ever reached it, but there is a power limit on us, and Vizard are capable of breaking that limit. It's not very unlikely that additional power might be the difference between victory or defeat... history does seem to show that remaining the same while the enemy changes and grows is a sure path to defeat. That's the suggestion, anyway." the whole time, he had a 'hmm' sort of voice for talking about this highly sensitive subject. "Well, it might work, I suppose. Maybe if it was tested on some weak volunteers, and then whatever procedure was performed on Shinigami who are above suspicion?" he added, mostly to himself as if trying to figure out a practical way to apply the idea. 10th Division was all about investigations and record-keeping, and members of that division often tended to lean towards being open-minded about new ideas, rather than sticking to tradition. Rednal wasn't pressing the idea, merely voicing it as a possibility.

Old Yata slowly turned around, facing Rednal. "I will not allow research into Vizards." He put it point blank and direct, not showing a moments hesitation in his decision. "We are the Shinigami, for countless centuries we fought with everything we were without relying on anything but ourselves. To rely on the powers of a hollow is one thing, but to even suggest testing it on those who are weak and frail. That in itself it asking for death itself to come to your door. I will say this now and it will be known to all. Any who make attempts at the Vizard process will suffer in ways they cannot even begin to imagine. For now the enemy will lay low, sure of themselves in all their power and ambition. They will not make an attempt on our society so soon after this. Put all efforts into pooling our resources, I want to know everything that we have available to us. Dispatch several Shinigami to the human realm, I need eyes and ears to keep track of what is going on there with the recent fall of the 14th division. Remaining captains are to stay on alert should any crisis arise." Yata took a slow deep breath, Hibiki melding back into its sealed form of an old wooden walking staff. "Once again, Vizard research will not be permitted, with the council now gone my orders are now absolute."
