Being a slave driver is so fun...
Yes, sewing could have some useful implications, but wouldn't you jut want to break into a clothing store and then start ripping out seams? I don't think zombies would have much of a reason to congregate at a clothing store,

Well, zombies congregate where there are people - either where people died or where they are about to die. If they can get somewhere, they wander there.

True, but who in their right minds would stick around long enough in a clothing store to attract the attention of a group of zombies? It's not like there would be much to eat there. There would be wandering zombies, but some discreet little corner shop on the suburbs of the city ought to be pretty scarce in the zombie department. One or two, maybe five at most within a dangerous range.

If they got trapped in there and the zombies broke in, well, there you go.

Hmm, that would be a very inconvenient place to get trapped in, but if you didn't get trapped in it would be a fairly simple process. If you get trapped anywhere in a zombie invasion it's instant-death unless you happen to have a shotgun.

Even if you do have a shotgun, you're pretty much screwed. Hordes attract nearby zombies, as does the sound of guns.

Any sound, really, attracts zombies, especially the sounds of other zombies. Also, a shotgun is actually a really poor weapon for a zombie invasion. Takes forever to reload, poor accuracy, you have to get way too close for comfort for it to be effective. It's biggest strength is it's stopping power.
A Winchester rifle is actually a much better choice for zombie apocalypse survival.

Yup. Well jeez, I probably should have skimmed through the "zombie-invasion survival handbook" a little more. It seems to me that every zombie game has some mention of a shotgun, with perhaps the exception of that one where you're in a mall.

Pssh, if it was such a good book why am I being chased down by zombies right now? They're probably closing in on my house and getting ready to eat my brains.
