Ginger limped to the side of the sinkhole. She waited patiently for Celtic to find a way down. In the mean time, she decided to look at her injury. She cleaned away the mud to find a gash in her left rear paw, and, as she looked higher up her leg, she could see where a bone or two had broke. She winced she she covered the gash with some old leaves down there.

Celtic slowly leapt down carefully and winced when he got a closer look at her paw. "Do you think that you can get onto my back and hold on, long enough for me to crawl out of this whole and get you out of here?" he asked. Celtic knew it would be hard for him to crawl back up, but it was possible. It would just be a slow and tedious process with her.

"I think so." she said. She checked to make sure the the leaves on her gash were staying and then she limped over to Celtic and crawled onto his back. "O.k. I'm ready." she told him.

"Hold on tight." Celtic said and slowly began his descent up the steep slope, trying carefully not to hurt Ginger, who was on his back. It was slow, and he slipped a few times, but he eventually made it to the top where he set her on the ground far away from any potential harms. "What do you need me to do?"

Ginger winced a bit as he let her down. "Get me two or three foot length sticks, some clean water, a could fresh leaves, and some length of vine." She said, she could patch up her wounds easily enough, but she would need to have him collect the supplies for her to do it.

Celtic nodded quickly and rushed away to get the supplies that she needed. The sticks were easy enough to find as were the leaves. But the vines took him some time and it was about a half hour before he was able to return to her with all the supplies that she needed. "Sorry that it took so long. Just tell me what you need me to do and I will do it. Or at least try my best." he said nervously, knowing nothing about healing.

"It's ok." She said, quickly replacing the leaves on her gash. "Alright, I need you to hold the sticks at an even distance around the broken part of my leg" She said, pointing to the broken bone.

Celtic gulped but did as he was told and held them close to her leg at equal and parallel distances. "Do you want me to tie them with the vines for you?" he asked her worriedly.

"No, I can do that myself." She said, wincing as Celtic place the sticks in thier spots. She felt the bone, holding back a loud yelp as she straitened it so it could heal properly. She the proceded to cut the vine in half and tied the sticks to her leg in a makeshift splint. She stood up, placing little weight on her broken leg. She gathered some grass and weaved it into a short rope, which she used to hold the leaves onto her gash. She looked to the sky and saw it was starting to get dark. "I think we should be getting home, it'll be dark soon." She told celtic. That little adventure had taken up quite a bit of time.

Celtic nodded. "Let me walk you home. I can find my way back in the dark and I think you may need someone as we have traveled quite a bit today." he explained as he stood and walked over to her to give her some support to get up should she need it from him. "Just tell me how to help and where to go."

She sniffed around, getting her bearings, and finding she found no recognizable sent, or a recognizable sight. "I can't figure out where we are?" she told celtic. She limped around, not recognizing anything. She was quite embarrassed to say the least.

Celtic sniffed for a minute. "Stay here while I go look around for a few minutes." Celtic took off into the forest and soon found a known path and returned to Ginger. "I found out where we are but it may not be easy to get back as it is a little rocky. Do you want to get on my back?"

"No, I think I can walk myself now that I've set my leg, but if I need help, I'll let you know." She said. She limped behind Celtic. "Lead the way." She told him.

Celtic nodded. "I will, just tell me which way to go once we get into familiar areas because I do not know where you live." he explained and led them slowly back to the spot where they had met for the first time earlier today. He was careful to get all obstacles out of her way as much as possible so that she did not need to worry about tripping over anything or having to manuever around larger objects.

"Ok." She said, following him. She noted that Celtic had the thought to move most of the dangerous objects out of her way. Suddenly she smell a concoction that only her owner could brew around here, his own mint and coffee tea. 'That's it.' She thought. "Over here." She called to Celtic, darting off the path, towards a sizable shack in the distance.
