Food Experiment #1
Make cheesy mickey mouse and friends pasta
Step 1: Get out all ingredients, set them neatly aside for easier use. Step 2: Read directions. Step 3: ................ realize you don't want to make ten people's worth of macaroni. Step 4: Stare contemplatively between ingredients and directions, trying to figure out how much of each ingredient will be needed if you make roughly 1/4 of the box. Step 5: Add water to chosen amount of pasta, set on medium heat. Step 6: Melt a little less than one tbs of butter in small saucepan. Step 7: Stare and wait until melted. Step 8: Stare dubiously at the directions for 1/3 cup of flour, estimate that about a tablespoon will do. Step 9: Drop flour unceremoniously into butter. Step 10: Curse as it become all lumpy and sits there. Step 11: Stare and think. Step 12: Add more butter. Did it work? No. Step 13: Decide to just go with it and add the milk. About a 1/2 cup. Step 14: Stir hopelessly, noticing it doesn't get thick and remains soupy and lumpy. Step 15: Realize the temperature is set to low. Step 16: Smack self in forehead. Step 17: Stare contemplatively Step 18: Decide to start again. Step 19: Pour milk into glass, fish out lumps, throw away. Step 20: Add butter to saucepan, now turned up to medium. Step 21: Poke it a bit so it melts faster. Step 22: Slowly add pinches of flour and stir in. Step 23: Feel accomplished as it starts to work properly, the butter/flour mixture acting like it's supposed to. Step 24: Eyeball if more flour needs to be added, and decide to stop while you're ahead. Step 25: Slowly add milk. Stir. Let bubble. Marvel as it gets thicker. Step 26: Do a happy dance. Step 27: Confidently add 1/2 cup cheddar cheese Step 28: Realize you don't have parmasan. Step 29: Add some romano instead. Step 30: Stir to melt cheese, add more cheddar to taste. Step 31: Happy dance. Step 32: Sauce completed!! Step 33: Poke noodles Step 34: Realize they're nowhere done. Step 35: Frown slightly and keep stirring sauce. Step 36: Stir. Step 37: Taste Step 38: Try to think about what it reminds you of. Step 39: Stir Step 40: Cheese curds! That's what it reminds you of. There's flour in cheese curds? Step 41: Stir. Decide to turn it down to low. Step 42: Poke noodles. Still not done. Step 43: Stir sauce. Step 44: Play with sauce. Ooooh, it's all sort of thick and sticks to the spoon. Step 45: Think sauce might be getting too thick, turn heat back up. Step 46: Poke noodles. Sigh. Step 47: Stir Sauce for five minutes straight out of boredom. Step 48: Think it might be getting too overcooked. Turn back to low. Step 49: Get paranoid about it getting grainy if it goes on low, or it won't remelt. Step 50: Poke noodles, almost done! Turn sauce up to medium-high. Step 51: Stir cheese sauce! Ooops... burnt it a little. Step 52: Stir frantically. Notice sauce is a bit thick. Step 53: Notice it's thick enough to actually be a giant cheese curd. Step 54: Notice it's almost thick enough you could probably form it into a softball and it'd keep shape for a few seconds. Step 55: Poke noodles anxiously. DONE! Step 56: Drain noodles. Step 57: Add cheese to noodles. Step 58: Sigh sadly as the faces of mickey, donald, and goofy get destroyed by the now thick, stubborn cheese. Step 59: Put the cemented lump in a bowl. Step 60: Stare at it. Step 61: Eat it anyways.

Food Experiment #2
Make something resembling Chai tea using only the ingredients currently in the house.
Equipment: Small saucepan.
1. Fill 1/4 the way with water. 2. Fill 2/4ths the way with milk. 3. Add a pinch of ground nutmeg. 4. Add 2 pinches of ground cinnamon. 5. Add a very small pinch of ground clover. 6. Add tea leaves (You can just add a baggie of black tea in there as well, don't even need to take it out of there. biggrin ) 7. Add 1/2 tbsp sugar. 8. Add 1 tbsp coffee creamer (powdered or wet, low fat or whatever) 9. Stir and heat and seep, until sugar is dissolved, mixture turns a tan colour. Brew for longer if you desire more of a stronger tea. 10. Pour in a coffee cup. Makes enough for two, I think. Or one, if you've got a big mug.
Success: Fail So-so WIN!
I am as addicted to this stuff now as my mom is to coffee. xD You can also make it in the microwave. O_o biggrin Just load everything in, cook it for like 3-4 minutes, stir and serve. xD Just basically make it like you'd make black tea, make sure it's at least 1/2 milk, 1/2 water, and add whatever to taste.
biggrin Mmmm.
Food Experiment #3
Create a new kind of omelette you've never had before, using ingredients only found in the house.
Equipment: Pan
Ingredients 2 eggs (Or egg whites or egg substitute or whatever) 1tsp chives 1 1/2 tsp dried onions 1/2 tsp parsley 1 tbsp milk 1 tbsp parmasean/romano cheese (Optional) Sliced ham (However much you want) Mushrooms (omit if you don't like, again choose how much youw ant) 1 tbsp cream cheese <------ necessary ingredient, but there's low fat and stuff. Slice of colby or cheddar cheese.
Turn stove burner on to medium. Mix eggs, chives, dried onions, parsley, milk, and parmasean/romano together in a bowl. Add a small bit of butter or olive oil or whatever you use to the pan, make sure the bottom is coated lightly.
Pour egg mixture into pan. Cook however you usually cook omelettes. (I usually put a cover on it so the top cooks faster)
Flip omelette or don't, depending on if you want to/what you normally do.
Spread the cream cheese on one half of the omelette (Or if you were a dork like me, and it was cold, sort of drop it in small pats down on the omelette, or flatten it. xD
Spread most of the ham and mushroom on top of the cream cheese. Add the slice of yellow cheese on top. Top with the rest of your ham/mushrooms. Fold the omelette over, turn off the heat, cover, and let the cheese melt.
biggrin AND THEN EAT IT. D<
Fail So-so WIN
It works best, in my opinion, with at least ham, cream cheese, and the extra piece of yellow cheese. You can use fresh onions and whatever if you want. xD Whatever else you want to ptu in there (Green peppers I think would be good. :O) because I know a lot fo people dont' like mushrooms.
biggrin I AM BORED. biggrin But I am also full and happy.
And the cheese cooked right in the omelette tastes sooooo good. XD

Thank you, Citizen. If I were able to consume tacos, you could presume me to be jealous of your mammalian talents of digestion. As it is, however, I far prefer the results of sticking electric nodes into orifices.
By the way, *Beep* *Boop* Those mushrooms should be canned. Otherwise it would be wise to cook them first. I would just shoot them with my laser, as mushrooms are useless to me. However mammalians must never waste food, lest we send you to hungry African children to be consumed as food product in punishment.

What is your favourite kind of pizza?
:O
I'd say... geeze.... anything from this pizza joint we have here. Omfg the pizza is so good.
But...
Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and green olives. ^_^ Thin thin crust. MMMMM.
Just Sausage and green olives is great for me. Green olives are soooo tasty.
Second: Pepperoni and mushrooms.
Fave one topping pizza is pepperoni, of course.
I'd also try most anything on a pizza. (... excluding most seafood. xD)
So:
1. What's your ultimate favourite pizza? 2. What's your second favourite? 3. If you could have only one other topping on a pizza besides cheese, what would it be? 4. What won't you eat on a pizza?

I ******** LOVE Pizza Mia-styled pizzas from t3h Hut. My favorite is extra cheese, chicken, and no sauce. heart OMFG SO GOOD.
Second favorite is still Pizza Mia, but with pepperoni and no sauce.
And the one other topping would be chicken, since it makes my favorite pizza. <3
As far as NOT eating.. Anything other than marshmellows, chicken, pepperoni, and sausage. I'm a very picky person. XD

Today......... I bought a coconut.
Things did not end well. :/
First, I realized that it might be prudent to actually KNOW something about coconuts, more importantly what makes them ripe and what doesn't.
Second, I discovered that if it smells bad, it's also likely to taste bad. So in other words, don't put it in your mouth. smile
One thing I learned today: The less water noise you hear in a coconut, the better. More sloshing noises are bad. smile
And I at least had the foresight to carefully dispose of the coconut remains in a plastic bag instead of setting them out to be eaten by wildlife, because we do not want to have deer drunk off of fermented coconut.
And! The coconut split in such a way, and was such a lovely egg shape, that it now resembles a cradle and once it dries out, I could put a bit of fluff in there and I think my lizards would absolutely love it. Either that or half-bury it in their sand. ^_^
(I typed this up while waiting for pages to Load. So now I will respond properly)
PIZZA HUYT PIZZAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! I love their breadsticks. biggrin
No sauce pizza? :O I've had that, it's pretty good. It's pretty good with pesto too, or just sliced tomatoes?
CHICKEN PIZZA IS AWESOME.
But.. marshmellows? Cool! XD
I am VERY not so picky about my pizza. Man, my Uncle and Grandma are both very diabetic, and they can't EAT PIZZA.
I was like eek I'd rather eat pizza and die in a week, then go without and live ten more years. :/

Today I had food from the deli. Mashed potatoes with brown gravy and fried chicken. heart
I've got $80 for the next week and a half's worth of groceries. I'll probably get cheesesticks, french fries, and burgers at Sam's Club (cheese and buns too, I'm sure) for around $45... and spend the rest at Dillons on random food items like eggs and milk.

WAIT I DONT. BECAUSE I HAD THE EXACT SAME THING TODAY! biggrin
But it was at a buffet, at an anniversary thing for my mom's whatever guy's grandparents. ^_^
:B
XD You guys eat so much like... well.... people our age eat.
Aaaah... our staples : Eggs, milk, cheese, ham, bread, butter, chicken, potatoes, sauce, spaghetti noodles, canned mushrooms, frozen peas.
XD Standard. O_o We don't eat a lot of beef though. *Pokes it* biggrin Mmmm, I had a hamburger yesterday when we watched the movie at mom's friend's house. It tasted so good. 8D
Mmmm, Sam's club. biggrin That place is awesome! I WANT A GIGANTIC JAR OF PICKLES FROM THERE!!!!!!!
Aaaand my grandma and uncle gave us some food (They're diabetic and don't like really salty stuff, so gave us a bunch of extra stuff they don't want to/can't eat) ... and I made ... Gihardeli or something ultimate chocolate brownies. 8D
Aaah, hahaha. Mmm.

Mmmmmm....... egg salad sandwiches. <3 HOW DO YOU MAKE YOURS?
We use real mayo and ranch dressing. 3nodding Well, my mom makes it. xD Because she makes it really good. biggrin
Onions, real mayo, some ranch dressing, a splash of pickle juice (Sometimes small cut up bits of pickles, fi we have them) ... and maybe a bit of powdered ranch if it needs it? Yeah, I think that's it. ^_^
O_O How many pizzas do you get? And how much is it?
-----------
Also: I like to turn leftovers into soup. biggrin
The day before yesterday, we had steak Quesadillas. It goes thusly:
1. A container of beefstock, and a package of fajita/taco mix go into a large pot. 2. Add green peppers, onions, a can of spiced tomatoes, and fresh sliced mushrooms 3. Heat/cook a bit 4. Add thinly sliced steak, can be raw. Cook.
And then once it's done cooking, you just scoop it out with a ladle, and drain it off. It tastes so good. ^_^ And then you put it inbetween the tortillas and put some cheese on it and layer some smushed frijoles on one side of the tortilla, and then cook it till it's crunchy in the quesadilla maker. biggrin
AND THEN LEFTOVERS:
1. Take out leftovers and put them on the stove, turn to medium heat. 2. Add a can of white beans (They come in a large can) 3. Add a can of black beans (they come in a normal sized can, the white beans can is twice teh size)
Heat through until the beans take on the flavour of the soup, since they're already cooked.
AND THEN EAT! biggrin So I've got a delicious beefy fajita/taco soup with veggies and beans!
And I added about 1/3 a cup of flour, so it got a bit thicker. ^_^ MMmmm.
Mmmm, beans. You could put rice in it too, if you wanted.

Just with mayo. 3nodding But I have to put it in thr fridge to cool for forever because Kat wants it frigid XP

It's like 20 (pizzas) of this brand. heart And considering a 2-pack in these parts cost $4, and the case is only like $17.. the savings are so worth buying in bulk. @_@ They are the most delicious brand of pepperoni pizzas in the States, I swear.
....Why don't you move in with us to cook? XD Granted, the last time we had a Big Desker move in with us, it ended in violent disaster, but maybe it'll be different. mrgreen sweatdrop

xD Food's cheaper up here for one. My entire list of 'staples' could be bought for $50. XD Or at least I think it's cheaper...
I know Missouri has a high food tax...... hn..... xD BUT I CANT ASSUME.
biggrin Lulz. It might work. But then again, I can get really weird/annoying when I'm comfortable, and even my mom can't take me all the time. XD
I have the bad habit of... I don't know... just shouting things out? XD Saying things randomly in silences? Yeah. :B
BUT OH MY GOD THAT IS CHEAP PIZZA. O_o *Grabby hands*
biggrin
..... XD
*Enters kitchen, pauses* .... aah.... I'll just go to my room until you guys are done. Yeah. Bye. *Skeedaddles away*
