iPotter The only thing I didn't like, was that Bella was always so... mopey all the time. God. I just wanted to tell her to 'Shut up and get over it whatever it is you're emoing about' :B SMILE!!!
Movie!Bella was pretty much an exact copy of Kat in real life. The facial expressions, the social awkwardness, the bluntness - everything about her screamed “I AM NAZZY’S GIRLFRIEND.” They have too many layers. Ogres too. Ogres, Bella, and Kat. Layers. Yup. :B

I don't think it's being emo/mopey... It's being reserved. I love Bella so much, it's about ******** time someone paid attention to the quiet girls, the actual honest to god, No-I'm-not-going-to-open-up-suddenly-at-the-drop-of-a-hat shy girls. In the movie anyway.
What's wrong with being reserved all the time? It's relaxing and safe. I have no problem speaking my mind if I think it's relevant, but you're going to have to make up a damned good conversation/point in order for me to do it.
The only person I'm not all quiet with is Jess. And that's another reason why I love Bella so much. I'm totally like that, where the only person I care about, what makes my life worth it and exciting, is the one I open up to and talk with for hours and hours like she did with Edward.
It's nice to see that in movie form and actually recognized, regardless of a lot of people taking it as "unrealistic/an unhealthy relatioship."
And hell yeah the baseball game was freaking awesome. I can't think of anyone playing with vampires playing baseball.
And I loved Bella's truck, omg I want it so bad.

The word my mom used to describe Bella after seeing it was that she seemed very 'tragic' ... and she doesn't know what emo is. xD
And I really like the movie for doing that and portraying the character as quiet/sarcastic. XD Roleplaying so much made me put myself in her place a bit, and I think it'd be hella cool to move from some place where you didn't really have friends to having like, six, and boys interested, and... Edward. Nrrhr.... then again, I'm the quiet reserved type, but when I get to know people I tend to... well..
Act just like my mom, really. XD All loud and talkative and crazy.
Though Edward needs to pluck his eyebrows a bit. XD
I liked the jokes/sarcasm in the movie too. xD Freakin' pepper spray. XD
That truck was cool. XD I'd keep that thing cleaner/give it a new paint job/wax job though. XD It looks nice when it's all wet and shiny.. biggrin

Her father (Charlie I believe?) holding the shotgun was seriously epic though. It wasn't exaggerated so it was all the more "eee o__o;;" for the viewer; it felt realistic with how he just happened to have it, and he didn't growl some cheesy line about how he'd shoot Edward's balls off.
I can't help but like the sparkle thing now that I've had time to think on it XD My only complaint was in the movie they used that weird tinkle sound affect. Wtf man. stare But at the same time, it helped with how amazingly awkward that scene was. I mean, if I met a vampire but I had a crush on him... I'd be all like "whatever, okay o_o" even when he was all, "Rawr! Go away! >< You're driving me batshit!!"
The entire movie from Edward's point of view makes MUCH more sense if you read Chapter One of Midnight Sun (Twilight from Edward's POV) on Meyer's site. He was in pain the entire movie XD Hence how he'd be all up on her, then draw back and be snappy and reserved.. he loves her with every inch of his soul, yet being near her kills him because of how bad he wants to tear into her.
He knew Bella was coming. Not her specifically, but Alice I believe warned him his soulmate would come into his life soon. Hence in the movie her cheerfully suggesting they share the bus, since she assumed Edward would pull his head out of his a** and roll with it. He acts all... teenager-ish around Bella despite his age because he's so used to being able to read people's thoughts.. it truly baffles him that Bella is a blank slate.
I've read the first chapters of all the books since Meyer has them on her site, and though the writing is kinda.. meh, it's still on the same level as Rowling's when it comes to description/structure. Meyer's plot-writing abilities are apparently horrible, with too much fluff and silly drama and not enough action and drive, but to be perfectly honest... when I pick up a modern vampire novel, I'm not looking for plot. sweatdrop I want hot characters and UST.
Seriously LOVED her friends in the movie X3 She's a pretty girl, and though she's a flake like Kat tends to be in social situations, she has that odd allure that draws people in - like with Kat IRL. That Asian kid was PRECIOUSILICIOUS. heart

I went and saw the new X-men yesterday. omg naked Wolverine. It was pretty good, better than I expected it to be.
So many good movies coming out that I want to see! Terminator, Transformers, then Harry Potter...
I REALLY want to see Transformers though. The trailer looked SICK. GIANT. ROBOT. WHEEL CRUSHING ACTION. All the Decepticons are so BADASS looking!
At least check out the awesome wheel-Decepticon on 1:40ish.

Still really, really want to see Wolverine. I don't care what everyone else has been saying about it. It's Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. 'nuff said.
Transformers is gonna be so freaking cool.
Same for the new Terminator. It just looks like it's going to be really dark and explosion-y. Plus, Christian Bale. Do you think he'll do his Batman voice at any point to scare the robots?

Terminator was pretty awesome. So many explosions and awesome robots... I know I should care more about plot or whatever but.... awesome robots! ROBOTS. Giant... robots. biggrin
Also, there's a new movie coming out called District -9. It looks super awesome. It's about an alien species crashlanding here on earth, and how the humans segregate them and make them feel unwelcome. The aliens are THE CUTEST thing ever though.

So one of my favorite filmmakers, Kevin Smith, reviewed Star Trek and had this to say of Chris Pine:
Smith is so enamored of Pine, he's willing to do almost anything to take in another of the actor's performances. "I'd watch that dude do anything," Smith said with a laugh. "I'd watch that dude have sex with my wife at this point. He's such a good actor."
