"Sure, anything you want Remi." Ment smiled, placing the gingerbread child down on the ground next to her churro ladden buddy. Kids were adorable. Sometimes when he was alone in his room he missed being one. It was one of those things you never forget, especially with how simple things were. The greeting of customers, the compliments on how cute you were, your friends all trying to see you all at on-

HEY THERE'S VANYEL, Ment's brain spasmed. He hadn't seen her in ages and she was looking particularly pitiful at this moment and it only made him remember even more the good old days and how she once tried to con him into giving her a cup for free, or for invisible candy. He couldn't remember which one.

"VANYEL!"

"Thank you Ment!" Once feet were placed firmly on the ground Remi ran the few steps it took to get to Celyn and gave him a huge hug. "No more being upset Mr. Celyn! I don't like seeing you sad!" Giving him a little squeeze type hug she smiled and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. Leaning away she giggled and explained.

"Mama said kisses make everything better! She always gives me a kiss when I don't feel good or hurt myself. So since I saw you weren't feeling good I gave you a kiss to make it all better! Did it help?" Still holding him in her huge hug Remi looked at him happily. Though being trampled on hadn't been her idea of fun still seeing her amazing friend and getting candy all made up for it in the end! And who knew? Maybe she'd make more friends! At that thought Remi got really excited. More friends AND candy!

Amahté’s leash had been a bane and a blessing. When it wasn’t getting snagged on benches and stands, he was sending it whipping it across people’s shins to get them out of the way. He scrambled through throngs of people to that oh-so-familiar shop. Throwing the door open (after reeling his leash in from the gutter), he stepped in to make his Grand Entrance, because He had clearly held out on His subjects to make them suffer for their insolence, but Amahté was a benevolent king - they were probably gathered to lament for the sake of their lost king.

Sigh~ I suppose I shall grace them with my presence then! was his first and last thought before CRASH! -- ‘oof!’ and he was down for the count!

The young Scent took a moment to gather his bearings (and breath), shoving himself up with a groan. He fixed Moanna with his most withering glare yet.

Are you TRYING to inflict the wrath of a god upon you!” he said shrilly. He climbed to his feet and scowled down at her; his Scent was becoming overpowering, “I come all this way to grace my followers with my presence, and this is what I get for my troubles! What do you have to say for yourself?

He pointed a pudgy finger in her face.

Moanna simply muttered to herself, low enough for Amahté to hear, to low for anyone else, "It's not your presence I wanted to bask in as you're not the star I seek but another meteor in my glowing path."

Her eyes were dark but bright at the same time, as if they glowed in the shadow that Amahté casted upon her. Her cloud like hair waifed around her as she swiftly made her way back to her feet. She dusted the soot from her pristine white clothing before addressing Amahté once more.

"I am, however, sorry that a god-child happened to run into me. I'll do my best next time to be elsewhere so my ill-gotten presence doesn't offend you so."

Her tone was coy, but sweet and light all at once; as if to chastise him.

Orpheus and Qadir had frozen, eyes gazing in the direction of the screams and the chaos that followed a familiar scent before the watched him burst upon the scene. The younger boy had almost forgotten the argument he'd been having with the father figure. Something about being a gentleman, or maybe it had some other relevance. The boy hustled over to Amahte, leaving Qadir to lean against the thing nearest him with a sigh. "The lesser can not possibly understand the great," Orpheus commented as he stepped up beside Amahte, eying the woman he recognized as the friend(?) of Crystals. Well, she looked like she had other places to be, so Orpheus turned to smile at Amahte. "It's been a while."

Vanyel brightened at the sight of Ment, giggling at the way he was so excited to see her. It was nice to find someone familiar, and add on that they were happy to see her. The citrus girl blew him a kiss, typical orange butterfly blooming in the palm of her hand and fluttering lazily to rest upon Ment's nose before disappearing in a little puff of orange smoke.

Out of the corner of her eye, Vanyel noticed Moanna moving towards her, before getting bowled over by Amahte. With a gasp, the teen ran over to Moanna, brushing off anything that might have clung to her clothes. "I'm so sorry!" she sputtered, as if she were the one that'd bowled the woman over in the first place. Van was thankful Orpheus came over to distract Amahte; though she liked the boy, she wasn't feeling polite after he'd ran over Moanna.

Moanna was generally one to be careful of what she said around those she did not know but for some reason the comment happened to escape her lips before fully comprehending the predicament it might place the two young boys in.

"I assume that's why your brown skinned friend hasn't taken a knee in your presence yet."

As soon as the words escaped her, Vanyel had rushed to her side to help her regain her composure and rid her garments of the dirt and the dust, "I'm alright...."

Moanna looked up to Vanyel and offered her an awkward half-smile though the gratitude towards her act of kindness shown in her eyes much more than in her smile.

"You needn't have worried yourself or come to help me but you did and for this I am thankful."

Vanyel's eyes widened slightly at Moanna's comment, and she'd have shook her head in shock were so not so terrified she'd have given some sort of offense to the two boys. Somehow the two boys had managed to put both of their egos together without trying to kill each other and make some sort of a friendship out of it. How that was possible, who knew - but Vanyel knew better than to say anything that dangerous.

"We must catch up," the girl said to Moanna, grabbing her hand and pulling as hard as she could in whatever direction she could before the boys could be bothered to notice the woman was missing. "Have you met Ment?" Van said delightedly, dragging Moanna in Ment's direction.

Moanna was quite literally hoisted off her feet by the orange scented teenager as she dragged her across the way to where Ment was. To Vanyel, Moanna must have felt like she was light as air, or at least some sort of gaseous being with the force she was pulling the fluffy white haired woman.

"M-Ment?" Moanna stuttered, as she was once again being drug into a crowd of children. Too many people! Moanna thought to herself with a worriesome expression on her face.

"I don't think I have."

Rhiloss just made a sort of rude gesture at the other then, until Orpheus showed those fangs - then the icy child's eyes went wide and he made a noise of surprise. "Ooh... you've got fangs," he commented, with a little smile. "Does that mean you bite people? Maybe like your girlfriend here?"

He nodded in Kaoru's direction, giving her a little smile for her niceness to him. He was just poking at Orpheus, not really intending to hurt her feelings as well - for the moment.

Then he turned his gaze to the twins as they ran up - randomly reaching out to snatch at one of the samples and poke it curiously. "Who're you?" he asked them, as he hadn't met these two yet, completely missing Orpheus getting dragged away.

Sighing softly, Ka figured that the young ones were safe enough for the moment and wandered off to see if there was anyone else here that he knew. Gods, he just hoped Tiis and his little terror weren't about. But he didn't see them at the moment, which was nice.

Eventually, he spotted Ment - who seemed to have grown since he last saw him - and the dark-skinned male smiled faintly and wandered over. "Nice to see you again," he commented to the teenaged scent.

Arcanos noticed an instant after he asked his question that maybe it wasn't the best thing to ask ... and offered Chrystali a sort of small apologetic smile when she didn't answer anyway. He hadn't meant to cause any kind of pain...

Then he also turned to Moanna and nodded politely to her. "It's nice to meet you," he commented - turning then at Kaoru's shout. And he too, started off after the twins then stopped when Cyr did - figuring if his lover wasn't too concerned he didn't have to be either.

After that, Arcanos simply stood mostly quiet as Cyr chatted - until Amahté came barging through the crowd with that leash of his. The kitsune happened to be one of those smacked in the shins with the thing and he jumped with a little yelp. "Hey!" Upon seeing it was a child though, he gritted teeth and held back the urge to go after the offender and smack him or something.

"I don't suppose you know who that one is, do you?" he asked the group in general - voice dry.

Celyn watched Ment absolutely spaz and run off in some other direction before turning his attention back to Remi. Happily, the young boy wrapped his arms around her tightly and returned the friendly hug. "Okay Miss Remi!" He exclaimed, copying her, before giggling lightly. He giggled even more when the little gingerbread girl decided to lean in and give him a kiss on the cheek. Aww. Celyn touched his cheek and grinned at her.

Happily, Celyn replied, "I feel lots better now!" He sure did. Hugs, cheek-kisses, and good friends to share a festival with were always the best! The churro boy wrapped his arms around her again and kept holding her in a hug. "You're awesome, Remi! Great friends means lots of fun, and you're a great friend." The little boy was always full of compliments. Sometimes, he almost seemed too nice.

"A god-child doesn't run into people. People run into a-- Orpheus!"

Amahté almost immediately tamed his bristled feathers down into something more respectable, the light in his eyes flickering from troubled to immensely pleased. As much as he hated admitting being a child, there was no hiding the childlike delight that flickered across his painted features. His brows furrowed, a half-grin blossoming across his face, and while he lifted a hand to clap Orpheus on the shoulder, his movement paused; he cut his eyes at Moanna, tensing.

I assume that's why your brown skinned friend hasn't taken a knee in your presence yet.

I'm so sorry!

The latter words wiped clean the mixture of fury and surprise that stormed across Amahté's face. Biting down his anger, he turned back to his friend, the quirk of his lips belying the harried look in his eyes.

"I was hoping I'd find someone here worth my time," he said in mock boredom. He watched Vanyel out of the corner of his eye, still seething, before he turned his attention back to the vampire boy. "What is the reason behind all of this?"

He waved a hand - incidentally, the hand with the vinyl cuff on it. He jerked his hand back down.

Vanyel flourished her hands at the peppermint boy, clearly very pleased with herself for introducing new people to each other. "This is Ment! Ment, I brought you a...er, friend," Vanyel introduced hesitantly. Did she even know the woman's name? Had she mentioned it and already the teen had forgotten it? Well, no doubt she'd say her name to the boy now that Van had conveniently left it out of the conversation.

Orpheus looked impassive as Amahte pushed down the anger; taking a higher road for once. "I'm unsure as to the meaning behind this party. Perhaps something to do with the pagan gods. Qadir brought me here to spy on Crystal with him though," the boy finished with a sniff. He had better things to do than deal with irritating people swarming around him and having to keep his eyes on the frail woman. "You've certainly kept yourself out of the public eye for quite a while," Orpheus commented, sharp gaze easily catching sight of the wrist leash but ignoring the urge to comment.

Grinning brightly Remi huggled him happily. "You're a great friend too Celyn! I'm glad we're going to have lots of fun!" Wiggling back a bit Remi looked at Celyn. "What you want to do Celyn?! This place is so big I don't know what to do." Glancing around she hoped most of the kids were leaving but still if she stayed much longer she might just hurt someone else like that kid who pushed her down. And that was no way to make friends!

Neena was getting sick of all the children and decided to lead, or as Lizzy would put it drag, her over to a quiet area to watch the festivities. Neena didn't like social settings. They put her on edge and made her cranky. And a cranky cat demon was not something to be excited about.

Lizzy on the other hand loved the social life. Lizzy gazed at the dancers and laughed lightly at those who had no sense of rhythm. It was highly entertaining. Knitting her eyebrows together Lizzy wondered if Remi had rhythm or if she should get her into dancing classes. She didn't want the little girl to be the wall flower or the girl who couldn't dance afterall.

Moanna starred at Ment for half a second before giving him a small bow. It was as if the two already knew each other somehow without having ever met. Moanna lifted her head back up, golden eyes locking with Ment's scarlet ones and simply smiled.

"Hello Ment. I'm Moanna Nolatari. I hope we can be friends..."

Ment couldn't help but feel a chill run down his spine at the woman's presence. It was there but no one could feel it. It was probably best no one did. Ment gave a curtsie back, but didn't keep his eyes off the woman.

"Vanyel already told you my name," He commented, giving his friend a small smile.
