The Beast looked at Kasai then stretched out his arm and slipped the syringe through his flesh, hitting the plunger and sending the blue liquid into his veins.

Toushi watched to see if something happened. She wondered what the blue liquid did.

Kasai watched, wondering what it was for. Maybe to make him human again? If possible.

The Beast twitched slightly, his eyes fluttering, after a few moments the Beast stretched his jaws then spoke, his voice was smooth and soft, strange for such a beast. "Ah, it's good to be able to speak again."

Kasai almost toppled over from surprise. "Oh my god. You can talk!" she said to the Beast, her tone a mix of surprise and happiness.

Toushi was surprised to hear the Beast talk. "Wow."
Suki woke up then sat up. "Ow...My head..." She said as she looked around the room. The four wolves looked at Suki, wondering if she was okay now. "I'm fine..." She told them as she hugged all of them.

The Beast nodded, "Yes, that serum returned my ability to speak, and hopefully in time I'll return to my human form....hopefully." The Beast shrugged, "It's genetics, not always exact."

The Beast shrugged, "I hope so." He said, "It's still experimental so I have to hope it works."

"Okay," Kasai said. Then she asked, "So what had happened to you? Was it an experiment gone wrong that changed you?" Then she quickly added, "If you don't mind me asking..."

The Beast sat down at a small table and gestured to the other chairs around it, "Might as well tell you." He said, "It started about eleven years ago, I used to be a scientist for a great man, a leader of men who wanted to make the world a better place. As the man gained power however he changed, soon becoming a dark man who wanted only to rule the world for his own needs. I left, and ran, he tried to hunt me down but I came here and made my lab. I was the lead in genetic research and I was working on a serum to change humans and give them animalistic properties and strengths, think, you could give a person a dogs sense of smell and he could track criminals and put them in prison, give a spy a bat's super-sensitive hearing and they can hear terrorist plots being prepared from outside a warehouse. We could stop crime, and save lives. I, unlike my previous employer didn't use human experiments without consent, and I couldn't let anyone else in to help me or risk being captured....so I used the experimental serum on myself..."

Toushi sat down and listened to what he said.
Suki had listened to everything that the Beast said. "That's what happened to me..." She said quietly as she looked down at her hands then looked at her tail that laid beside her. Her wolf ears drooped. She was one of those experiments, but she wasn't sure if it was those people that he talked about who changed her.

Suki was standing in the doorway as she looked over at the Beast. She then looked at her wolves that stood around her. "No thanks...I hate humans...even if I was one...I rather stay this way..." She said as she walked back into the room.
