Valley giggled, "I am not a princess in real life, except maybe to you. I can help." she said and followed him out soon, and looking at what he was picking, she looked for something similar and found a wild bush of strawberries. She bite one off and sampled it, liking the taste, so began to pick some for their dinner. "These are not so bad." she remarked.

Orsino briefly glanced at Valley. 'Strawberries, huh?' he stared down at the berries he had picked. Raspberries were rather tart so they would compliment the strawberries' flavor...but what would the blueberries be used for? He could always dry them for later use...
"Strawberries are wonderful fruit. They taste great - one of my favorites I guess." he said as he picked some lettuce. He looked at the pile of vegetation he had gathered. Raspberries and blueberries, and a large assortment of leafy lettuce. With Valley's strawberries, he would be able to makes something nice. "Do you need help holding some of those? I can put some on this cloth here."

Valley smiled at him and placed the strawberries onto the cloth he had. "Thank you, I would carry them myself but I am likely to drop them all over and step on them. Maybe I can find a cloth and carry them myself, if we do this again." She gave him a bright and cheery smile as she began heading back to his cave.

'Again?' Orsino blinked, wondering if he had heard her correctly. "...Again?" he immediately regretted the tone he had used. He sounded as if he didn't want to to spend time with her. "I-er..." he quietly followed Valley towards his dwelling, thinking. Orsino had never really thought much about anything. He had spent his life being the carefree and naive fox he was. But, Valley had changed that aspect about him. He realized that one must think about things to live life. He stepped through the crack in the tree, putting down the cloth carefully feeling quite foolish.
Orsino put on a grin and said, "L-let's get started shall we...?" it felt more of a grimace. He unwrapped the contents and started to separate them all carefully.

Valley looked at him awkwardly. She had wanted to see him again but it seemed to her that he did not want to see her again. Or at least he was uncomfortable by the idea. She looked down sadly at her food, pawing it, but not making any effort to eat what was set before her, suddenly having no appetite.

Orsino chewed slowly, the raspberries feeling more tart in his mouth than usual. He felt the strain between them, and felt that it was his fault that it was like this. He took a deep breath, feeling shaky, "Valley." he started, "Please do not feel insulted. I..." Orsino's mind went blank, realizing he didn't know what to say. He like Valley very much. He was willing to admit that openly, but something prevented him from saying how he felt.

Valley waited for him to go on but he was silent. She wanted to hear what he had to say so shifted to face him more directly. "Yes, what is it? You what?" she asked, prodding him to continue what he had been saying before he has stopped. She could tell that he was embarrassed and felt bad that she wanted him to go on even though it seemed to make him more uncomfortable.

Orsino saw the sincere look in Valley's eyes, he opened his mouth again, "About when you said you wanted to meet me again...I...I would love it if we could meet again." his tail twitched, "It was just that...when you said that to me...I couldn't believe it that you would want to meet me again...someone like me. But I'm very happy that you want to." he stared at his salad, his face hot.

Valley looked at him in confusion and stood coming up to him. "I do not understand you one bit. Please explain to me why I would not want to visit you again. You are a nice fox who also enjoys nature. You were friendly and willing to take me in when night fell, and you are so fitting with my personality. I do not know why I would not want to be constantly in your presense."

Orsino looked up at Valley, as if seeing her for the first time. "Y-you...really think so...? You really want to see me again?" he felt his heart pound against his chest, as if it was trying to get free. He chuckled, relieved, "I do agree that our personalities complement each other...we both care about nature very much...and we are very passionate about it..." Orsino shyly shifted his paw closer to Valley's barely touching it. "I was hoping to met you again too..."

Valley smiled at him and touched their paws closer together. "I would like that too. I am glad that I ran into you today. I met someone I could really relate to and that makes me very happy. I hope we can see each other more than just once and perhaps see each other regularly." Valley ventured on.

"Well..." he started, gaining the courage to put his paw over hers, "I-I was wondering if...you...want to live here." Orsino looked into her eyes, "With me." he felt the heat rise up into his face again feeling shy again, "But you don't have to if you don't want to...I don't mind!"

Valley blushed but shifted so that she could rub her face against his. "I would like that, a lot. If you wouldn't mind that is." Valley's face was bright red by this point, visible even through her darkish fur. "I like you a lot and it is not like I am needed at the mansion. They have plenty of helpers there to take care of things."

Orsino shook his head rapidly, "No! I wouldn't mind that at all! I'm very happy that you want to!" he gestured around the den, "There's enough room for the both of us here." Orsino smiled again, but he looked slightly worried, "Are you sure though? Don't you want to tell them first that you're leaving? Wouldn't they worry about you?"

Valley smiled at him. "Creatures of all types come and go all the time. And I am close enough to go visit them whenever I want so I am not distressed about it. I can have the best of both worlds, kind of." Valley giggled. "But I will tell them tomorrow if it makes you feel better."
