zeromus 1st DiDiW I'm 5'5" tall. Technically, that is. I'm actually a little under that, but I refuse to admit it. My younger sister is 5'7" tall. My youngest sister is 5'9" tall. There is no justice in the world. I'm 5'4". I alway get ragged on for my height. Though now I invented a new size: baeza-sized! Think of anything a person would have, shrink it to half it's size, and it's baeza-sized. Works for food, clothes, people's strides, speed, cars... I sure do have a lot of fun with things like this. Being short is tougher on guys, isn't it? But why is it that shorter guys always get the tall girls? Very interesting... Baeza-sized, huh? Well, that's one way to reduce our influence here on the planet! And have you seen the new Smart cars? They would TOTALLY fit that description!

I LOVE mini-coopers! I can't get one, though, because my sister would kill me (She wants one!). Actually, I wouldn't be able to afford one anyway. Who am I kidding? lol
I agree about the Smart cars. They are horribly ugly...and I would be afraid to drive one on the freeway. You'd get run over by all the Hummers and oversized SUVs!

I don't have that problem. I take charge on the road and make them get outta my way, and I drive a Versa! And no, I didn't get the car because of Heroes.

I've never heard of a Versa, and I don't watch Heroes. I think my sister used to before she moved to Korea, but I don't watch TV at all. Is it a good show?

Nissan Versa. It's a small hatchback. I got it cause it looked pretty cool and sturdy, and I couldn't afford a mini-cooper (i.e. my dream car)
Heroes was good in the first season. Season 2 sucked (the creator apologized and everything) This season seems alright, but not really sure cause of the whole going out to sea thingy that I occasionally do (like what I'm about to do on Wednesday)

Okay. You know it's bad when the creator actually apologizes! Eek! That's terrible!
Do you have to go out to sea often? I can see how that might interfere with regular TV watching. I can't imagine having a job that requires that type of thing. I like a little more stability in my daily life. *doesn't like change*

Well, right now we're just going out for a week or 2 to keep the pilots from getting rusty, and for DC to evaluate our ability to safely operate the reactors. It get's bad in May, when we go to surge. It's a 4 month deployment, where we go straight to the middle east, with very few stops. It sucks.
But yeah, Heroes seems a bit convoluted, and jumping in to the middle of the season was a horrible idea.

What is surge? I guess a week or two isn't all that bad. Breaks up the monotony of everyday life, right? The middle east deployment, however, is another story. I can't imagine the pressure that you guys will be under!
My brother is being sent to Spain. I don't know what they'll be doing with him once he gets there, though. I don't think he really knows, either. Hopefully SOMEONE knows!
Heroes is about a group of superheroes, right? Is it anything like X-Men?

Surge is just like a regular deployment, except a month or 2 shorter, with less places to visit. During a surge, we'll go to our destination, stay there for the bulk of the time, then head back. A regular deployment is similar, but we take our time getting there and we'd have a lot more visits to foreign countries.
For nukes, we don't really feel the political pressure, we just get extremely agitated and disgruntled cause our bosses put a screw job on us cause they're bored, and because we're not home. The worst part is the heat, cause the plant is over 120 degrees in the middle east, and the ventilation only blows hot air and sand over there.
East coast isn't that bad. There's more foreign countries for them to visit, so almost every time they'll see something different. And Spain is a really cool place to go. My roommate went last month, and had a blast.
Yes, Heroes is about superheroes. It's like X-men because they have superpowers and are in hiding (at least in season 3). Those are the only similarities. Heroes has been having more disappointment than awesome. One of the guys reminds me of Keanu. Another guy is the new Spock. He's the villain, but the coolest one of the show.
Wow, that's a lot of writing.

I don't think I would be able to handle that kind of heat! I can handle California summers just fine, but we're only talking 105 or so! 120 can kill you, can't it? I like nice temperate climates. Hawaii anyone?
I lived on the East Coast for a little while. It was humid and people actually drove the speed limit! I could have adapted to the humidity, but getting a California girl to drive the speed limit is difficult at best!
I also lived in North Dakota. But I was under three at the time and don't really remember it. From the pictures, though, I can say that it was COLD!!!

Yeah, when it's that hot, you sit in front of ventilation not because it'll cool you off (cause it won't) but because it makes you sweat less. Sometimes. People who drive the speed limit, and those that go slower are so annoying. Especially if they're in the fast lane. And I lived in South Carolina for 1 and a half years, so I know about that humidity. I hates it. Me being lazy and sleepy today. (both at work and at home)
