Voldemort pulled the hood back over his head and suddenly took hold of Godfrey's wrist, holding perhaps a bit too tightly. The air around them compressed for a second, and then they were standing in an alley, the park directly across from them. The air was cooler, and smelled of the city, smoky and polluted compared especially compared to the greenhouse.

Voldemort released his grip on Godfrey, his face immersed completely in shadows. "This will do then... write me if you need anything and good luck with your studies." He said this all rather hurriedly, giving Godfrey a genuinely friendly smile. He didn't want a long goodbye, and was prepared to just Disapparate away as soon as he had said what he wanted to say, but something held him there.

Godfrey winced slightly- Voldemort was holding on too tight, but the side-along was much less unpleasant than normal, and he took a deep breath of the city smell as they popped back into existence.

It was only around early dinner time, but Godfrey figured he'd probably be walking around all night, just not wanting to go home. He didn't know if he wanted to aggravate Harry on purpose or not, but he was going to do it anyways.

Voldemort's words were hurried but that was to be expected, he probably didn't get out in public all that much, especially not in muggle public areas.

Godfrey smiled back, just able to see Voldemort's teeth in the shadows of his cloak. He hovered next to Voldemort for a few moments, feeling as if there was something that was waiting to be said.

"Thank you. Thank you for inviting me over as well, sorry again for staying so late, I wasn't really paying attention to the time." He couldn't help saying it again, but grinned somewhat sheepishly, reaching up to rub one of his furry ears. He wasn't particularly hungry at the moment, still full from lunch, but he thought maybe he'd go browse a book store, or maybe just buy a bunch of candy and eat it all as he was walking around, just because he could.

Godfrey glanced down the street momentarily, before looking back up at Voldemort, did the man have something he wanted to say? Godfrey's ears perked up as he looked at Voldemort encouragingly.

"Really, it was my pleasure. I will see you in two weeks time." And he disapparated on the spot with a surprisingly loud crack, not at all quiet as when he had apparated. Voldemort reappeared outside of his own house, a small clearing in the woods. He had to leave the conversation at that. If he had said more he knew something would have gone too far. Even saying goodbye seemed a bit too much to add. Godfrey, without even realizing it, perhaps, not even meaning to, was pushing Voldemort to his breaking point. He couldn't allow that to happen. Not yet..

He stood in the shadow of the trees for a long moment. What was he doing with this boy? Something inside him seemed to have changed, like the path he had been walking on all this time was altered somehow. No matter what, he knew his future had changed. For better or worse had yet to be seen.

His hands clenched into fists, long nails biting into flesh, blood dripping onto the fallen leaves as he walked back home.

Godfrey gave a little sigh after Voldemort abruptly left, and stuffed his hands in his pockets as he started to head down the street.

He didn't much look at anything, instead pondering the odd afternoon he'd had. And two weeks, two weeks seemed much too far away, but there was no helping it.

For some reason he'd had this weird notion that he'd stay at Voldemort's house long into the night, the two of them just talking, discussing things, Voldemort sitting in a chair while he, Godfrey, curled up against the arm of a love seat or couch and just listened. He didn't feel sad like he had just a short while before either, he just pushed the confusion away and resolved to be better next time to make up for it.

He didn't quite feel some sort of huge revelation inside of him, not really even a little niggling feeling. He'd experienced that already last year, when he'd met the Dark Lord for the first time. So for now he continued to remain innocent that Voldemort could have been thinking certain thoughts, and if he had any thoughts similar to that of his own, they remained hidden, overshadowed by his loyalty and feelings for Josh.

It was about an hour later, when Godfrey shivered and stuffed his hands deeper into his pockets, his mouth full of chocolate, that he realized he'd forgotten his damned hoodie. Godfrey wasn't Superman, and couldn't stay out so late in the cold without a jacket or some sort of protection, and London nights were cold.

Godfrey somewhat irritably tossed the rest of his chocolate in the bin and called for the Knight Bus, deciding to give in and go home so he could curl up under warm covers.

Voldemort was sitting at his desk, quill in hand. There was a lot written on the parchment in front of him but most of it was crossed off. He wasn't writing right now, just staring down at the parchment, black ink staining his fingers as he was holding the quill to close to the end. Clementine was resting curled at his feet, her brown fur thick for the winter. Her tail slashed from side to side in some dream or nightmare.

The furry lizard suddenly perked up, scrabbling out from underneath the desk and rushing to the door, sliding on the tiles as she went and nearly colliding with an end table. "I know, Clem." Voldemort let out a deep breath and stood. He shook his hand and the ink seemed to just disperse into the air.

Clementine was clawing at the door, whining. Voldemort waved the door opened and the lizard burst out, running circles around Godfrey, her tongue flicking out, smelling.

"You're a bit... early, Godfrey. How are you doing?" He stood in the doorframe, blocking Godfrey from entering, almost.

Voldemort had to catch Godfrey or he would, indeed, fall. It was an awkward meeting of lips since Voldemort was so much taller and he didn't really expect Godfrey to jump at his face as such.

He set Godfrey down, clearing his throat and staring down at the boy. He urged his expression to be neutral but a smile creeped in anyways. He moved out from the doorway, standing in the hall now, "And what brings you here today?"
