Justus refrained from sighing. Dev was just in one of his 'moods' today. Justus took out his wand and unlocked the door, then wove an illusion to make the door appear as if it was a solid wall.

Irritably, Devlin pulled out a ball of paper, and after Justus went inside the room, he transifgured it into a tall stone figure of a nude mermaid, so that the blank space of wall wouldn't look so suspicous. He levitated it in front of the doorway, then closed the now illusioned door on it.
"I don't like my hair today." Devlin complained the moment the door was shut. With careless ease he transfigured some of the tables in the room into a chair and vanity, plopping down dramatically and frowning at himself in the mirror.

"It's fine, Dev, as always." Said Justus patiently, watching as Devlin first stripped down to his red, snitch covered boxers and then tapped his wand to his head, growing out the blonde curls.

"No it isn't, look at that!" Devlin poked at his hair with his wand. "It's not curly enough. And I can't get it to work!"
He scowled and tossed down his wand. "And I feel...fat."

"Don't even go there, Dev." Justus said, pausing in unpacking the suitcase that carried all the equipment. "Look. Here's the new dress."
He pulled a brown paper wrapped package from the suitcase and tossed it to Devlin, who caught it immediately. The Gryffindor was still scowling lightly, but seemed more interested that a fancy new dress had arrived.

"This is the one I picked? That new one?" Justus and Devlin had splurged, ordering a dress from a real, if not that well known designer. He was a muggle custom dress maker that Justus and Devlin rather admired the work of.
"Lavender." Devlin murmured, playing with the string. He didn't open the package, however, but rather turned back to the vanity. He picked up his wand and poked at his stubborn curls, tightening them to his satisfaction after a few tries. He then began to work on his make up, and even did his nails himself.

Justus returned to setting up the set.Today they were doing a perfume ad for a well known company- the new scent of which was lavender based. The colour of the dress was chosen specifically for the shoot, however Devlin had been the one to pick the style and shape.

Justus was adjusting the lights, but turned when he heard Devlin's voice.

"What... is THIS?"
Devlin was facing away from the vanity, the brown paper and string discarded onto the floor. He was holding up the dress away from his body and up in the air with four fingers, as if it was diseased.

It might as well have been. Justus stood in confused horror at the... thing... Devlin was holding. It was lavender.... somewhat. And the design resembled the one Devlin had come up with... somewhat. But..

"Ruffles?????" Dev exclaimed in abject horror. "RUFFLES?????"
Dev's face reddened and he glared down at the horrible mishmash of 1920's era schoolgirl ruffles and prep-school girl style skirt. It was horrible, especially for the shoot.
"This... this dress cost..."

"Dev, look." Justus frowned, absently groping in his back pocket for his pack of cigs. "Look, I don't know what's up with this.. dress... but there's no need to get worked up. We've got others. We'll just have to transfigure the colour, or I'll do a photo manip..."

"Transfigure it??? You.. you don't transfigure a dress, it's not the same!" Devlin nearly hissed. "And you're not going to 'manip' any part of me, OR my clothes!"
Devlin had a problem with photo manipulation in his pictures. As Lynn he was proud of being pretty and beautiful, and if Justus ever had to manipulate photographs to erase something on his face, or had to edit him to look skinnier, it made him feel less, made him feel fake. So the agreement from the beginning was that photographs of Devlin would be raw- only the background could be edited, and words edited in to make it look nice. If there ever had to be manipulation of a photograph done, it had to be done with Devlin's complete permission and supervision. He felt that if someone wanted to manipulate his body or face in photographs, they should just use a computer generated image and forget about using real people all together.
