Night at the Graveyard: Part 2
Deimos looked around at the things they passed by, eyes a bit wide as he took it all in. It was... quite frightening, a crypt from the looks of it. He stepped closer to Anon, as though expecting monsters to jump out around any corner... but it seemed as though there weren't any of those shrieking, feathery creatures about down here. He relaxed when it seemed as though it were just the two of them which was nice, "Thanks for letting me come down here with you Anon."
When Deimos stepped closer, Anon reached back and took Deimos' hand, giving it a little squeeze, trying to be comforting. Anon's face, though mostly obscured by his hat and hood, seemed to brighten with a smile. He motioned to the alcove where his bed apparently was...it was the most comfortable place in the entire crypt, and he might as well offer it to his guest! Though, upon looking down at Gigan, he took a pillow off of the 'bed' and set it on the cold ground. Then, once everyone was settled, he reached over to grab a notebook and a pen, in case the slightly older boy wanted to talk.
Gigan looked at the offering of the pillow and flopped down on it, tail swishing behind him as he settled down for a nap, the long walk had left his paws aching. While Deimos was down here with this strange creature that he seemed to be friends with he was going to rest up for the return journey.
Deimos looked over at the kitty that was already sleeping, giving a smile, "Gigan must be tired." He murmured, kneeling down to give him a pet before he moved perched on the edge of Anon's bed, "So this is where you live? At first I thought maybe I got lost again... it wouldn't be the first time on this journey that I have." He said, giving a laugh though he sounded quite embarrassed at how he'd gotten himself lost once already, he was even more embarrassed at the state that Anon had found himself. Brave was something that Deimos was far from being...
Now that the feline seemed settled, the odd smelling boy took off a glove to reveal a grayish green hand, as stitched as his face was. He was definitely listening to the pink haired young man, but he reached down to pet the cat as well when Deimos did. The only animals he'd ever gotten to actually touch were dead ones...it was nice to pet something that was living for once. Once he had his fill of the cat, he hopped up on the 'bed' beside Deimos, scribbling on his notebook before moving to let his friend read it. "Yes. Live Here...Get lost often? Sorry to hear. Feeling better?"
Deimos leaned over to read what was being written down by Anon before he gave a nod of his head, "Yeah, I got directions to where a friend of mine named Kay lived, I ended up at a Burger Place instead of at the Knick-Knack Shop where I had been heading to try to find him." He explained, face flushing a bit, a touch of pink showing against his dark skin, "Was lucky though as he and another friend called Gera were both there to get lunch. Do you know either Kay or Gera?" He asked, curious as the three were his best friends.
Anon pulled his legs up against his chest, resting his stitched chin on his knees. His head was tilted like he was staring at Deimos, which he was, but as always his face was shadowed from the tip of his nose and upward. An almost amused smile fit on his lips at the blush, reaching out to pat Deimos' hand. It was okay to get lost! At least he found what he was looking for! He considered the question, then scribbled some more. "K.... Boy w/ skull face + snake? Met him 1x. Seemed nice." The tip of the pen was tapped against his lips, and he wrote some more. "Don't get visitors...ever. Sorry I am not entertaining..."
He watched Anon, smiling when the other boy patted his hand, seeming to relax a bit. He looked down at the paper as he wrote, "Yeah, that's Kay. He is pretty nice, I agree. He scared me a little at first because he talks a lot but I got used to him after a while... though his snake still scares me a bit." He have a shiver at the thought to his hair snake, that thing never came near him and never tried to bite him, but it was scary none the less.
He tilted his head at what was written next, "What? Ohh... yeah, we don't get many visitors at home either, Momma is as scared of things as I am, maybe more so." He explained, then smiled, "Don't worry, I can try to visit more often if you like." This place was scary but he would attempt it regardless.
Anon nodded a little bit when Deimos said the snake was scary....while he didn't believe that, he could understand how it was creepy. Especially to someone like Deimos. The snake had bitten him, but that was okay...he felt it, but he also figured the snake wouldn't be trying that again. If ever. Apparently he tasted bad! He smiled happily when Deimos agreed to visit more. "First visitor...on purpose." A stitched finger reached out to poke at Deimos' arm, as though to accentuate that he was talking about him. "Would like that a lot...sleep during day though. Is ok?"
He shifted in place at the mention that Anon slept during the day, so that meant that he would have to always come to visit at night? He gave a nod of his head, "So long as I can avoid that loud, screeching monster bird I should be alright to visit." He told Anon, trying his best to sound brave over the idea though there was a slight quiver in his voice. Deimos was not a courageous person by nature and even when he tried his hardest to be that or even sound like that he sort of failed at it.
Anon's mouth twisted thoughtfully, and after a moment of contemplation he hopped off of the bed, wandering to another end of the room and digging in one of the other corners of the room. After a little while, he wandered back, one hand behind his back, but the other reaching out as though he wanted Deimos' hand.If the other man complied, he'd turn the hand so it was palm up, and gently press a flashlight into the open palm. There was a smile on his lips again; the monsters wouldn't come near him with a flashlight! It was too bright!
Deimos gazed down at the flash light as though he were being given a most amazing sort of treasure, his lips turned up into a smile, "Thank you Anon, its very kind of you to let me use this." He said, hugging it to his chest. Light was always helpful when in the dark, especially given the dark was on the extensive list of things that the pink haired boy was afraid of.
Anon nodded, waving his hands modestly in front of him, then offered a gracious bow as if to say 'You're welcome'. The odd smelling boy wasn't used to having someone in his 'room', never mind having met someone for a second time! Everyone else had yet to come visit...but it wasn't like he could visit them. Easily, anyway. So this was fun, exciting...but also very awkward for him. There was a brief pause, and Anon took his notepad up again, scribbling something down. "You grew. Look good! When?" Then, after nibbling his bottom lip, added a second line. "Did you want to stay here tonight? It's late."
Deimos smiled happily as he let the flashlight rest safely on his lap. He turned to look toward the notepad when Anon set to writing something new down on it and he seemed a little more thoughtful, "Thank you, not sure exactly when I grew and... I haven't been able to really see the change yet. I will have to look when I get home." Even though he had a great dislike of mirrors given he had heard a few scary stories involving them... he pushed the thoughts aside, not wanting to worry about that at the moment, "Stay here with you? If its alright I would like to wait until the sun is up before I attempt to get home again. I am sure Gigan could use the rest as well."
"Have a mirror, if you want to see." Anon offered on his little pad of paper, unaware of the fear of mirrors that the other one had. For a moment, Anon seemed excited that he would have someone staying with him for once, to end that seemingly endless loneliness he had welling up within him. The younger boy nodded energetically but managing to keep his eyes shadowed. Then, of course, he went back to his notepad. "It's ok. Stay as long as you want...tired yet?"
Deimos for a moment considered it but given that it was night time he didn't want to risk it, "Ahh... thank you, but no. I am alright for the moment." He said quickly, if either of the things came to pass that could when one dealt with a mirror in the dark he didn't want to bring Anon into it as the boy had always been nothing but nice to him. He gave a little smile, "Tired? Yeah, a little bit." He murmured, it had been a lot day and now that he had a chance at rest he was tempted by it.
Anon nodded down towards the bed that Deimos sat on, then motioned around the room. After a moment he paused and went back to his notepad...it was frustrating, not being able to talk...but he did his best, considering! "Pitch dark once lights are off...going to be ok? Can stay here w/ you if you want." Having a night off for once would be very nice, actually! Even if it was just sitting in the darkness with his (possibly run-away) friend.
Deimos read it and his body set to trembling at the mere idea before he gave a little nod, "If... if its alright with you... I would like your company." He murmured, the idea of being in a grave yard, down in a crypt, all on his own... it was mind numbing to the point that it had him shaking.
Anon's head tilted slightly at the reaction he was given. So, on top of everything...he was afraid of the dark, too? Somehow, that didn't surprise him. The hooded one nodded, tugging lightly at one of the comforters that Deimos was sitting on. They were thick blankets and it was already pretty chilly in the crypt to begin with...and the night was still young; obviously, he was urging Deimos to get comfortable. While he did that, Anon was scribbling again on his paper. He didn't know what Deimos' comfort level was when it came to sleeping, but there was enough room in the little alcove to easily hold both of them...and the boy was a scardey cat. "Sleep w/ you...or can sit on floor." He offered via writing.
It didn't take much to get Deimos to do something that was comfortable, especially when he was as tired as he felt. He shifted himself, sliding under the blankets, a little yawn escaping from him. He looked down at the notepad that Anon was writing on, starring for a moment as though it were taking him a bit of time to decipher it with his sleepy brain. He gave a little nod of his head, "Mmm, you can sleep up here. It is your bed." He murmured, giving him a smile before scooting over, he had a habit of napping with Jiang a lot at home so the act of camping with another person was, to Deimos, comforting.
Anon nodded a bit, taking his notepad away to put it on the magazine shelf along with the pen. He made sure Deimos was comfortable before shutting off the lights, then headed towards the bed, mentally counting his steps like always. He made it easily enough, patting lightly until his fingers bumped Deimos' arm, giving it a pat to let the boy know it was him. Then he crawled under the covers beside Deimos, on his side. There was a bit of rustling as he took off his hat and hoody with his free hand, leaving the other touching his friend to assure him, then put his head down on the pillow. Anon wasn't worried about his face being seen; even during the day the crypt was this dark, nobody ever came down here and Deimos would have to crawl over him to even get to the light switch. Thus, he was safe! He wasn't going to sleep, probably, but he could at least give Deimos some means of comfort.
The pink haired boy curled up near to his friend, eyes sinking closed, and he felt himself starting to doze, "Mm... thank you... Anon." He murmured, keeping near to his friend, one hand staying where he could feel the other boy at. His desire for sleep battled with his fear of the dark, of closed in spaces, of strange places, and of monsters and strangely enough it won out allowing for the young boy to fall into a deep, dreamless slumber as he slept off the days events.

So This Is Me?
Deimos had the door to his bedroom locked to allow for ample amounts of privacy so that he could shrug out of the clothing he'd worn on his adventure from home to where Kay and Gera were to where Anon was to home again. It didn't sound like much but it was extremely exhausting... and now that he was home, and able to get clean clothing and a shower, he decided that he was going to take advantage of a few things. It was light outside so he had no fear of his mirror, aside from the ones of it either falling on him and killing him or him accidentally breaking it and ending up with seven years of bad luck, and he was starring at himself. He had indeed grown as Kay had told him, he was taller then before, more well put together, his hair was longer, and he was looking... good. He wondered if it was terrible of him to say that sort of thing about himself but... he did like how he was looking.
He turned from one side to the other, inspecting himself from head to toe before he nodded. He could live with this he thought to himself, lifting one hand to mess with his hair which was in need of a good washing and a meeting with a brush. A shower was in order, Deimos didn't take baths due to his overwhelming fear of drowning, but showers were alright... it wasn't as though he were a turkey so he couldn't drown himself in the shower.
The boy tossed his dirty clothing in the hamper, his map and notebook were left safely on his bed, and he looked down at Gigan, "I am going to get my shower, keep an eye on things."
The cat starred up at him for a long moment, gave a meow sound, then moved to hop on the bed knowing that 'things' meant the map and notebook which meant so much to the pink haired boy. The cat settled down next to them, tail lashing in a protective manner, and the boy hurried to get himself a fresh change of clothing.
Deimos had picked up a similar mode of dress, among other things, to his Momma. He loved the soft, silken robes, loved the pretty patterns on them, though he always stuck with cool colors. He like greens, blues, and purples but not so much reds, oranges, and yellows since hot colors made him think of fire, which made him think of burn wounds... not something he liked the thought of and the thought of them was what kept him out of the kitchen where the fire lived. There was a mind breakingly long list of things in the kitchen though that was terrifying, everything from fire, to knives, to food that could make a person ill it all seemed to congregate in that one room. It was his least favorite room in the house...
The boy paused again in front of the bathroom mirror to once more inspect himself, "I think I look alright." He murmured getting his brush before he went to climb into the shower. He would brush his hair out when the conditioner was in, it always made it that much easier and without him having to deal with painful knots... yet another thing he disliked greatly.

Evil Easter Eggs!
Deimos hadn't really been a fan of the idea of going out to a park to search for eggs... the idea was a little disturbing really. He'd been told that a creature called an Easter Bunny went around hiding eggs, some full of candy, for children to then search for, find, open, and eat. That sounded vaguely dangerous to him. Was it really a good idea to trust some random animal with the safety of your food? He was pretty sure that if Gigan decided to cook one day that nobody from his family would eat what the cat prepared for them so why trust a Rabbit to do the same job? It was foolishness...
He was wandering around, stepping over the eggs that he found as though they were potential land minds and behind him Gigan followed, watching the way that the boy he traveled with seemed to avoid the entire holiday like the eggs were plague baring instead of chocolate baring. The cat gave a mewling sound as he found a bright colored plastic egg and did his best to make Deimos notice it and have some sort of interest in it but with no luck. It would appear as though eh really didn't like this holiday... though why was he surprised? The boy seemed to be afraid of most everything so that meant that he was going to have to take this into his own claws!
He followed after Dei quickly, jumping up to land on the boy's shoulder at the next egg that he was approaching. The boy was light weight and even at his age and height he was easily toppled by the giant alley cat. He gave a purring sound as Deimos landed on his hands and knees in the tall grass, then settled down heavily on his back to keep him from getting back up, forcing him to look at the egg that was there in the grass then gave another meowing sound. He pawed at him a couple times then hopped down, poking at the dark green egg that was sitting there in hopes of getting him to look at it, consider it, to participate in this event!
The boy starred at the egg before giving a shaky sigh, "I... don't know, I don't like the idea Gigan." He murmured as he reached on hand out to poke at the egg then jerked back quickly. Nothing happened at all though... he looked from side to side before he poked at it again, then again, and again. It didn't seem as though it were going to attack him he thought to himself as he slowly sat up with the item in his hands. Did this mean that the rabbit could be trusted after all? He shook the egg, listening to the rattle from within. It sounded safe enough. If he had to guess maybe it was full of those brightly colored, somewhat waxy looking gel based beans?
He looked from side to side then slowly popped the egg open and starred within it and continued to stare. It was... just candy? He blinked then giggled, "Hehehehe... its just candy! How silly, I thought that it was gonna be something horrible!" He said in a louder then normal, cheerful tone of voice. He gave the item another happy smile, ate the candy without really even bothering to chew, and then tossed the plastic shell over his shoulder before he started to crawl forward toward the next egg and did the same thing.
Gigan starred at the boy, eyes wide, as he tried to decide if perhaps the jelly beans contained some sort of drugs in them, before he followed after him, watching him as he snagged up every egg he could get his hands on only to devour what was inside then discard the shell. This went on for what could only be a couple minutes but quite a few eggs and Deimos suddenly seemed to freeze misstep as though he were trying to figure out what in the world he'd just been doing... then groaned, hand going to his stomach, "Ugh... feel sick..." He murmured, he hadn't ever eaten more then a piece of candy here or there in his life and he was sure he just ate more candy then he'd ever seen... and he was pretty sure he was going to be ill.
"Stupid... eggs..." He knew he shouldn't have trusted that Rabbit and his evil candy he thought, adding rabbits, candy, and Easter to the list of things he didn't like, trust, or want to be around again as he flopped onto his side and did his best to keep the candy down.
Feeling guilty the giant cat came to sit down next to him, patting him on the shoulder with one paw as though to apologize. Mental note, don't let Deimos eat so much candy again... ever.

Discover Channel
Why, why wasn't he watching this horrible channel he asked himself for what had to the millionth time since he'd turned it here. There was nothing good that came from the channel with all the animals on it. There were some that were cute enough he supposed but there were also those that wanted to go around eating other, smaller, cuter animals... the more he watched the more he feared the wild life outside. Everything seemed to want to eat everything else he wanted nothing more then to change the channel, or better yet turn the television off entirely. He hated, hated, hated this channel!
There was a reason for why he was keeping it on though, a teaser commercial that had told him that that horrible screeching monster that tried to eat him in the graveyard and a show all about it was going to be on next. He had to suffer through what was currently on so that he would be able to learn about the bird monster and what it was like, what it did, and maybe he would get a clue as to why the thing had wanted to eat him the other night...
If he'd thought the first show was frightening the one about the winged predators of the night was only that much more so. They had curved talons, could see in the dark, could fly silently, some had blood curdling screams, they all ate meat, and he was sure now that they were in fact some sort of horrible monsters sent from the bowels of Hell to eat him. The narrator for the show sounded completely and totally impressed by the birds but he was in no way impressed... in fact he was down right terrified to had to face off against another one of them any time soon.
"Your lucky your you, Gigantes." He said, glancing over at the black cat that was sprawled across the couch, somehow seeming to take up a good portion of it despite the fact that the piece of furniture was pretty large. He wasn't sure how he had the ability to do that but it seemed to be how he kept the cushy seat all to himself and how Deimos had somehow ended up sitting on the floor in front of it. Gigan had looked so cozy that he hadn't wanted to bother him.
The cat opened his good eye to stare at Deimos before he set to purring in his deep, loud, rumbling purr which always seemed to win the boy over no matter what the situation was. It seemed to help him to relax at the moment as well since he seemed far to tense for his own good. He shouldn't be watching these sorts of shows as all they did was make it so that he couldn't sleep at night due to his fearing that whatever creature that was on the television was going to come to eat him if he dozed off for even a moment. The cat rolled over so he could slid off of the couch, walked over to the remote, and stepped on it. The television turned to a black screen and freed from its grasp the pink haired boy turned to look down at his savior of a cat.
"Thank you Gigan... I couldn't seem to look away as much as I wanted to." He murmured, scooping up the once stray cat into his arms to snuggle him. At least Gigan was sweet, fluffy, and purred... on top of that he only ate cat food which, to Deimos's knowledge had never been alive. As such he was the best animal in the entire world if you asked Dei.

Page In My Notebook Its been an interesting passed few days filled with a lot of interesting goings on. I have meet a few people, some of which seemed to think that I was a girl for some reason, and I took part in an Easter Festival for the first and only time. I do no like Easter, candy that comes from eggs, or weird rabbits that think hiding eggs in random places is fun. I got sick from that holiday and it was terrible... I don't ever want to get that sick again, my stomach hurt so much! I think I might give up eating candy all together. On a lighter note my map is coming along well. I got the Curio Shop on it, as well as a Burger Shop that I accidentally found. I know its not much but that is three places on the map now that I have been to on my own though I will admit the journey to Anon's place... well less the journey but more the destination, was scary! I got attacked my a screeching bird I later learned was an owl, and fainted... how embarrassing. I will go back though. Anon seems so lonely and needs more company around more often. I want to visit Gera and Kay again as well, I don't get to seem them enough even if it means visiting that scary shop I will do so... I am trying, really trying to face some of my fears though it seems for everyone I try to stand up against I end up with a half dozen more on my list. Its a losing battle but I suppose I should keep at it or else I will be overwhelm... and my biggest fear is losing out to that terror and losing myself. ~ Deimos Celestia.

Escorted by Gera: Part One
(( Done via AIM with Jay ))
There was nothing more...heartbreaking than seeing Gera act the way he was acting. He stared. Just stared out the window when Mrrh took Roxy to the park for a pirate day. He hadn't wanted her to go...thought pirates were dangerous but Roxy managed to win this argument and now Gera was stuck at home...waiting for her to return. Trin...felt..horrible. He was so concerned...but it was also a sorta creepy concern. Obsessive was the word she was looking for.
"Gera." She started firmly as she came up to him, he turned his head to look at her, "I have a errand i want you to do," she continued knowing he couldn't refuse a direct order, and thus she handed him her list of random items as well a change purse of money, "Oh by the way I also arranged that you escort Deimos on your errand. So be sure to pick him up at his place." She continued with a nod of her head.
And so that was how it was, Gera was now moving at his robotic pace towards Deimos's house. The stomp stomp stomp of his feet causing the side walk to tremble as he moved past. Soon he was there, and he moved up the steps carefully as he didn't want to break them and then rang the door bell.
Deimos lifted his head as he heard the rather loud steps, watching the manner in which Gera approached the house, up the steps, and to the door. He tilted his head to the side before he pushed up off of the window sil he'd been sitting on while writing out the date, time, and where they were heading while waiting for his escort. Trinity had called earlier to arrange the meeting between him and Gera and he didn't really so much mind as he had missed his friend and had been wanting to see him again since the last time he'd seen Gera was with Kay when he'd gotten himself lost.
He pulled open the door and smiled at the metallic boy, "Just a second, I need my shoes and bag." He explained, "You can come in if you like." He told his friend before he moved to the side to where his sandals sat next to his messenger back. He stepped into his shoes, lacing them up, then picked up his bag which held his map, money, a bottle of water, and a snack before he looked toward the Golem, "Which store are we going to?"
Gera blinked when Deimos opened the door, though he hardly had enough time to respond to the question when he was moving over to get his shoes and his map. He hardly looked friendly that was for sure. He wasn't even attempting to smile like he normally tried.
"Dollar store. Trinity says she needs beads." He replied to the question being posed at him. He half turned to head back down the steps, "I am escorting you, is there anywhere you need to go?"
"Dollar store." He murmured, then gave a nod, "That's good, I haven't been there before so its something new to add to my map." Of late each of his excursions out had been related to a place he wanted to put on his map, wanting to fill it out with places that he was able to go, places he knew, and places that he would be able to visit without being to scared. It was really rough since deep down all he wanted to do was hide in a safe place, under a blanket, and not come out.
He tilted his head to the side in a thoughtful manner at the question, "Hrm... I don't know, maybe we will see something interesting that we can visit on our way." Two places in one day to add to his map would be a first for him and would most certainly be him trying harder to stretch his legs and be brave.
Gera only looked at Deimos, though he didn't reply nor did he nod his head. Part of him wanted to ask if Gigan was coming, the other part of him stated it didn't matter if the cat came or not.
"Let us go then." He instructed as he turned to leave, he didn't offer his hand, nor to give the other a ride on his back. It was...very strange. Gera was normally strange but he seemed VERY standoffish this time.
Deimos tilted his head as Gera suddenly turn and started to head out the door, the pink haired boy blinked then hurried after him, door closing behind them trapping Gigan inside. The cat had been to slow to catch up it would appear and was displeased when he went to crawl up onto the window sil, watching the pair go. Deimos would hear about this betrayal later he thought tail lashing behind him.
The start of the walk felt... tense to Deimos, made him tilted his head to the side, and he found himself reaching out for a moment toward Gera's back then let it drop to his side. He watched him closely, eyes slightly narrowed. He didn't seem happy, did he? Was it because he was stuck escorting him out? He didn't want to force Gera to be friends with him since the idea of forcing anyone to do anything wasn't something he was a fan of. His hold on the strap of his bag tightened and for a moment he seemed to have forgotten all about taking notes about the direction they were going and the names of the streets as he worried instead over Gera.
Gera was quiet he paused every moment or so when he spotted something he considered a threat or dangerous. You could see him studying whatever it was with little expression before concluding it was not important and continueing on. It would take a lot to get Gera to come out of whatever strange recession he had gone in emotionally. He didn't like the Deimos was behind him it made it harder to protect him...so he stopped walking and half turned to basically stare Deimos down waiting for him to catch up.
Deimos froze in place when Gera turned around and seemed to be just... starring at him. He took a half step back and his hands tightened that much more on his bag as though looking to it for support, "Ahh... yes?" He asked of him, trying to keep his voice as steady as possible. Surely he wasn't so upset with him that he was going to yell... no... yelling didn't seem like something that Gera would do. Standing there so stony and just starring didn't either though. So far he hadn't done any of his strange, shape shifting games, hadn't made himself any odd ears that stood out oddly, didn't offer him a piggy back ride though he didn't need it, and no chance at holding his hand either.
"Are you... upset that you have to escort me?" He asked, looking away for a moment, "Would you... rather be with that blond girl from before?"
Gera eyes seemed to focus past and then onto Deimos, the subject of Roxy being brought up brought a strange expression on his face. It seemed almost like hostility but not.
"Roxy is being escorted by Mrrh...new live in at the shop. I don't trust him." He started off before he broke his gaze with Deimos, he looked away.
Current Orders do not include Roxy. Continue to escort Deimos, continue with errands.
He looked for a moment annoyed, like he had just been informed with something he didn't want to hear. His hand was in a tight fist though he forced himself to relax.
"I am not upset...not with you." He explained after a moment trying to clear his head.
Deimos wondered if that meant that he was right, that Gera would rather be with Roxy... but she was with someone named 'Mrrh', not a name he was familiar with. If Gera didn't trust him though Deimos instantly found himself worried about what a danger he might be... he made a mental note to be careful were he to go visiting Kay at the shop anytime soon if someone dangerous was living there now. He might have to avoid it all together in fact since he didn't like things that were scary in the least. The idea made him tremble inside.
That Gera seemed annoyed and was even clenching his fist caused him to put another step between them as he shrank back a little, "I... see." He murmured, he said that he wasn't up with him but clearly something had made him unhappy.
Gera looked back to Deimos, seeing how he was moving away from him,
Subject is afraid.
That was obvious. He didn't want to scare Deimos.
Subject is only an escort.
Now that wasn't true. He struggled inwardly a moment. Deimos was a friend. Not a stranger to be treated as such.
"I am sorry." He stated after a moment turning to face Deimos, he reached a hand out offering the boy his hand like once before. "I don't mean to scare you."
He starred down at the hand that was reached out to him, blinking a couple times before he slowly reached out to take Gera's hand in his, lacing their fingers together, "I-Its... alright... I mean most things scare you after all." He murmured, not wanting to upset Gera any further, something much have happened to put him in such a mood and he would rather not make it worse. He looked his friend over closely, as though he thought he were to watch him enough he might be able to figure out what was going on in his mind. Of course that wasn't a power he actually had so he came up a bit lacking since Gera really didn't seem to give a lot away.
Gera lightly laced his fingers with Deimos's knowing better than to tighten them else he could risk breaking his fingers.
"The bead store...Trinity wasn't specific...I need help choosing." He mentioned his obvious flaw. Unless told specifically what to get he could stand in that store for hours....
They continued walking his steady tromp tromp of his feet seemed almost hypnotic to listen to. Part of him wanted to talk to Dei about Mrrh and about Kay and about how he wasn't sure if they were safe. Roxy meant the world to him...but so did Trinity. Now that he thought on it he worried about Kay as well though in a different fashion. Dei was also in that list of people he'd protect.
Deimos nodded his head, "I can try to help in choosing." He said, he'd never helped someone to pick out something like beads before he thought to himself with a bit of a smile on his lips. It could be something that was a lot of fun... or it could be terribly messy if they were to spill and he could end up falling if they fell and he stepped on some of them he thought to himself, instantly worried about the damages beads could cause. That his friend asked for his help thought made it so he was unable to refuse, "Do you know what she needs them for? It would help in us picking them out."
Gera had absolutely no idea. He had a strange feeling that the task was just to keep him busy. So he shrugged,
"She didn't say. She wanted one hundred beads.." He stated with the answer she had given him when he had inquired similarly. Size shape amount color. She was vague. How he despised vague. They continued on their walk the idea that choosing beads could be dangerous a foreign concept to him.
"Deimos...do you think, I am over-reacting?" He inquired thinking on the word Roxy had used to describe him when he didn't want her to go with Mrrh.
"Wow, one hundred? Maybe she is making a necklace or something." He wasn't sure what aside from jewelry might need that many beads though which had him quite thoughtful before he gave a little shrug, "We will figure it out when we get there, so long as they are pretty beads I am sure she will be happy with them."
He turned to looking Gera over closely, finding the idea that this was him over reacting a bit odd... he gave a little tilt of his head, "What exactly do you think your over reacting about?" He asked, deciding that maybe Gera needed to vent and he would feel better and be back to his normal self.
"Roxy said I was over-reacting," He reconfirmed what he said not looking at Deimos as they continued on their walk towards the dollar store. "I want her safe. I don't trust Mrrh. But ...my worry is unfounded. Logic dictates I shouldn't worry since Mrrh has never hurt her...nor anyone else. Kay says I cannot trust him..." He continues showing his obvious struggle with his thoughts on the subject.
That annoyingly familiar feeling of jealousy was springing up in him again as it had the first time he'd run across that blond girl when she was traveling with Gera and Deimos did his best to push it aside, it wasn't his place to decide who Gera played with after all. He listened closely before giving a little shrug, "Just sounds like your looking after your friend is all... and I'd worry a little too if Kay didn't trust someone since he seems to like everyone and everything." He said finally, he should probably reassure Gera, tell him that things were fine, that he should trust this Mrrh person but if Kay didn't like someone it was worrisome...
Gera looked to Deimos a moment after he had spoken, he stared at him and looked like he was trying to figure something out. "Roxy is my sister. Not friend." he clarified, before he turned to look forward again. He then thought on it again, "Kay is...friends with everyone...but..tense with Mrrh. Though Mrrh has yet to do anything bad." He continued...he sounded like his head was starting to hurt.
"Ahhh, I see." Why did he feel pleased with the fact that she was his sister? He shoved that thought aside and ignored it in light of listening to what he was saying, "Yeah... he is friends with everyone which kind of worries me but... maybe there is a reason they don't get along?" He couldn't guess since he didn't know anything about Mrrh and didn't know everything about Kay. Due to his own state of mind though he was already putting Mrrh under the 'scary' column of things that he ran across, didn't run across, only heard of, saw on television, and made up in his mind.
Gera went silent as if he was still trying to battle things out in his mind. Soon though they had arrived to the dollar store and he had nearly walked past it expect his robot like mind halted him. He stared at the building a long moment before he walked up to it and opened the door allowing Deimos to go in first.
"Deimos...have you not met Mrrh then?" He inquired as he was silly for asking as the information recalled that Dei had mentioned having never met him before. "Never mind." He quickly corrected himself as he then scanned the isles. "Beads?"
"I don't get out a lot." He explained, "The list of people I have met is rather short... I think I can count them all on one hand." He explained, then looked up at the door, starring at it for a long moment then squeaked, "Ah!" He'd not written down a single thing, how was he supposed to know how to put this place on his map he thought to himself in surprise. He gave a shake of his head, he would just have to take extra detailed notes on the way home he thought to himself.
They were soon exploring the place that seemed a virtual Labyrinth of mismatched randomness that had him looking around, eyes wide, then stepped in closer to Gera as though he were afraid that he might be lost forever in this place if they were to get separated, "Yeah, lets find the beads." He agreed.
Beads.
Bead, a small, usually round object of glass, wood, stone, or the like with a hole through it, often strung with others of its kind in necklaces, rosaries, and similar things.
He looked around trying to pinpoint at which isle a bead would be found. He noticed Dei step in closer to him and he scanned around. No threat detected.
"There is nothing to be scared of..." He stated after he was done scanning. Of course his scan only included people. Not objects or things.
He gave a nod, "I just don't want to get lost in here." He murmured, quietly enough that only Gera would be able to hear him. He didn't want anyone else to know his way of thinking since he might end up teased by them... he turned his attention to the the signs that were above the aisles, looking for one that spoke of what might be the aisle they were looking for, "Um... hrm... maybe in the crafts section?" He guessed, seeing a big sign on the wall in bold letters that said 'CRAFTS'. He shivered a little, not a fan of the color red due to all the negative things associated with it.
Gera looked to Deimos again and then gave the simple squeeze of his hand. Reassurance...right?
"You won't with me around.." He confirmed with a nod and that was for sure. Gera had already basically memorized the stores layout. At least the front of it anyway. When Dei pointed out where they needed to go he nodded his head again and then began to move.
The squeeze that he got from Gera's hand seemed to reassure him in a manner that little else could and he gave him a smile, "Thank you, Gera." He murmured, looking more relaxed as they walked along. He always felt better when he had a body guard of some sort be it Gera, Kay, or Gigan when he wasn't at home. It was how he went about feeling safe and protected, to have someone there that would be able to look after him in such a manner.
"Ohh, yeah. Look at that. There are lots of beads." He said in a happy manner.
Gera stopped, there WERE a lot of beads. He stared at them glad he had brought Deimos with him else he would of been stuck for hours just trying to figure out what beads Trin would want. He had no idea the simple hand squeeze meant a lot to Deimos. No clue. but he just stared at the beads and then looked to Dei as is expecting him to decide for him what beads to choose.
Deimos gave him a smile then started toward the beads, looking them over, "Do you know what her favorite color is?" He asked as he looked the beads over, finding a few that he rather liked and was tempted buy with the money that he had with him at the moment. He would wait to pick his own beads though until after they found the one hundred beads that Miss Trin wanted.
It was yet another question that stumped Gera. He stared, long and hard at the beads. Then went back through flashbacks of colors Trinity wore. She wore a lot of colors. Too many really. But..the one consistent color was purple.
"I don't know." He replied at first, "She wears all colors...but more often purple." He continued as he watched as Dei picked up a few looking them over.
"Purple might be the ones that you should get the most of, if she wears it most often that probably means its her favorite. Its one of mine as well." He said as he moved to pick up some of the purple beads, looking through the different shapes, patterns, and materials, "Do you think she will like the plastic, wood, or stone ones best?" He asked, holding some out to Gera, "Actually, which do you like best?" He had to admit he was a little curious which Gera would pick... and was curious as well as to Gera's favorite color. He'd guess blue since Gera was very blue but at the same time one could never tell. After all his hair was pink but that didn't make pink his favorite color.
Gera was caught in another tough spot. Why were people forcing him to have an opinion today?
Question irrelevant. Continue to choose beads for Trinity.
But he didn't want to be rude. He looked to the beads that were pointed out to him and then he looked back to Deimos.
"I don't know." He replied to the first question the second one he was still stuck on. What..did he like best? Roxy didn't like red. But..that was Roxy. He didn't like red either he realized. It meant he had hurt someone.
"Not red." he started though it trailed off as he had no idea how to continue.
Deimos seemed rather happy with that decision, "Yeah, I don't really like red myself." He said, glad that they wouldn't have to deal with that color though it still left orange and yellow which he didn't like to much either... he didn't like hot colors. He gave a smile as he stepped over to the blue beads, "We can pick some blue ones, they have some the same pretty color that you are." He told Gera, picking some of them up and held them out for Gera to look at.
Gera stared at the beads. They were the same color weren't they? Did that mean he liked them?
Question irrelevant...
He ignored that voice as he went to try and pick a bead up as gently as he could manage and yet even as he did, just by trying to look at it he managed to crush it into small shattering of plastic.
"Not plastic..." he decided. Too fragile.
Deimos nodded and put back the plastic ones and then held out some wooden ones and stone ones, "How about these, the stone ones feel like a cool but the wooden ones seems to have a natural texture to them." He said as he inspected the pretty beads of the purple and blue colors that he'd picked up so far. He found that this was kind of fun and felt like he was learning at least a little more about Gera through the questioning.
He looked to the wooden one and for one reason or another ..didn't want to even attempt to pick it up. So he went with the stone gently lifting it between two fingers to discover it was much tougher than the plastic.
"Stone." He agreed, there was no point liking metal...since he would end up just absorbing it. Besides there were hardly any metal beads. He had met a girl once...she was able to make the stones dance. Carefully balancing his hand so the stone bead lay in the center he gestured it towards Deimos.
"Ninety nine more.."
Deimos gave a bit of a giggle when he inspected the beads and was able to find the one stone one to his liking leaving them so far with one of the one hundred beads that they were looking for. It was a pretty one so at least they had a start he thought to himself as he put all of the plastic and wooden beads away that they had found thus far, "Alright, lets see..." He moved along a little ways to where the bins of beads seemed to consist mostly of stone made ones of various sizes, shapes, and colors. He picked up one that was more oblong and held it out, "Do you think she would like beads of strange shapes? Or just the circular ones?" He asked of his friend.
More questions. He felt his face look at Deimos again. Some people would start to think that the boy was a bit slow in the head. But it was truly the opposite. Gera's mind was a blur. Odd shapes? Colors? Types? He felt a tad overwhelmed.
"Mix..mixture." He managed. May as well get a bunch of different things...then at least Trin was bound to like..something.
"Sounds good." He said, playing the oblong purple bead onto Gera's hand along with the first one and then started to dig around carefully through the bead bins to find more of them. He was a bit biased in the beads he helped to pick, leaning more toward cool colors and didn't get any of the beads that had corners to them. While the ones in the triangle and square shapes looked nice all he could think of is the problems they could cause and the pain they could inflict if they were dropped and then stepped on by some poor, unsuspecting person.
Gera stood and watched noting the colors and shapes Dei seemed more comfortable with.
"Deimos likes blues...purples...?" He inquired looking over at the range of cool colors in his hand. He shifted his hand to look like a bowl, much easier to keep them in check. He was so surprised by the lack of corners on things. He had already figured pointy was bad.
He turned to look at the bowl that Gera made from his hand then gave a little smile, glad to see that he was doing the shape shifting thing again, not as cute as the various ears but still nice not to mention helpful. He put a few more of the beads into the bowl-hand, "Yes, I like greens too." He said, "They are nice, happy colors." He explained to his friend.
Gera looked to the beads again. Happy colors? In books it stated it was warm colors that were happy colors. Maybe Deimos hadn't read that book. He didn't correct him though, allowing the boy to pick out what colors he liked and mentally ticking off the numbers down.
48....47.....46....
They were at least half way.
Sensing movement. Above. Danger immanent.
The beads got enveloped in a globe of metal and he grabbed Deimos so quickly and clutched him close to his body raising his other arm to suddenly form a large shield. There was a loud CLANG as a shelf hit the metal that was his arm.
Deimos let out a sound of shock as he was pulled away from the bucket of beads and into Gera, he opened his mouth to ask what he was doing when the shield blocked off his line of sight and the loud sound filled his ears. His eyes went wide and he squeezed his eyes shut, his entire body starting to shake violently, "W-What... was that... Gera?" He whimpered, clinging to his friend, not daring to open his eyes as he was afraid to see what it was that had attacked them.
His other hand rattled with the beads that were contained within it, he lowered that hand to then shove the shelf that was laying on his shield arm, it gave a clatter as it hit the floor. The mess that lay on him fell as he shifted.
"A shelf." he explained after a moment. There was no other threat in the immediate area though he had dented his arm pretty good.
Deimos opened his eyes slowly as he looked at the shelf, eyes wide and he gave a tremble as he continue to hold onto his friend because he didn't trust his legs to keep him up... though as he looked at Gera... and then around he realized what he'd done, "Oops.." He murmured, there were a few people had come over to see what the commotion was about and given that they hadn't even seemed to noticed the two of them standing there, "Sorry... l-let me try to calm down..." He'd recently learn to share his power of invisibility with those close to him that he was touching. It was only Gigan he normally masked in such a manner but it seemed being that startled helped him to do so with someone bigger then he was used to helping.
Gera looked to Deimos seeing how scared he was, he had protected him though. That was all that mattered, he looked around as others came to investigate He didn't know what he was talking about of course, he didn't know they were invisible. "You are okay?" He asked though concerned it sounded more like he was making sure he had done his job well. Perhaps they should go outside. But they needed the beads....oh the dilemma
"I... I think so... I w-wonder... what happened." He murmured, wondering what had caused the shelves to fall down on them in such a manner. He drew in a deep breath, hands tightening their hold on Gera a little and as he let it out the two of them came back into view of the other people though most seemed to be pretty well busy with trying to clean up the mess caused by the shelves that Gera had deflected in such a manner, "Are you alright?"
Gera nodded his head, he didn't feel pain and he was only a bit dented, easily fixed really.
"Yes. Let's go outside. " He stated as he quickly counted with his eyes the remainder of beads they needed and scooped them into his now cup looking hand. "We pay and leave.." he sounded as if he wanted out of there. Perhaps more dangers were lurking..
He gave a nod of his head, "Yeah... that would be nice." He murmured, fresh air would be wonderful about now. He watched as Gera gathered up the rest of the beads that he needed before he followed along after him, sticking very close, looking at every shelf they passed by in a suspicious manner as though he was sure that they were going to fall down at any moment. When he heard any sound, no matter what it was, he would jump and move that much closer to his friend and his ability to ward off the bad things.
Gera wasn't about to steal so he parked himself in front of the cash register and told the clerk how many beads he had and then placed the money down in front of him. The clerk of course had to do the agonizing task of counting all the beads one by one as if just trying to make them wait longer before going outside. Gera went back to loosely lacing his fingers through Dei's hands to try and keep him close by and reassure him. Once finally paid for he took the bag and then quickly led the boy outside.
Dei drew in a deep breath of air when they made it outside, lifting one hand that wasn't holding onto Gera so he could fan himself, "Oh... wow... I am glad that we are out of there." He murmured, giving a little sighing sound. He looked over at his friend then gave him a smile, "Thank you, Gera." He murmured, had it not been for his friend he would never have seen that coming and would likely have gotten himself squished by those shelves.
Gera only nodded his head, of course. It was his duty to protect. He was still dented rather badly on the one side though he himself didn't seem to mind or care. His free hand holding onto the bag of beads as if they were going to try and make a break for it any second now. He looked tense...that was for sure. SO focused on keeping Deimos safe he had forgotten the next part of his errands.
Gera looked to Deimos as if being drug out of a prior thought, he looked over his arm and then shook his head. "No...not needed." he responded as he concentrated the the dents seem to bubble up and then flatten again. The spots that had done looked as if nothing had happened at all.
"See? No worries." He continued showing Deimos his relatively fixed body.
"You...are okay?"
Dei's eyes went quite wide as he watched Gera's arm fix itself before he gave a bit of a smile, running his fingers gently over the area, "Oh... good, good... I was worried that you were hurting." He murmured, stroking the area in a soothing manner before he lifted his gaze to meet that of Gera and he nodded, "Yeah... I was just a bit scared and my heart didn't want to stop racing but I am alright I think, thank you."
Gera looked at him with accusing eyes, as if daring the boy to lie to him. But judging by the way the boy was acting he supposed there was truth in his words. He jerked his head in a nod, and then tried to pull up his list of errands to do again.
"Beads are done. Next is cake. Need a bakery."

Escorted by Gera: Part Two
(( Done via AIM with Jay ))
"Ohhh! Your getting a cake?" He asked, eyes going wide with delight over that. If there was something out there that he couldn't think bad of it was cake... well unless if was those towering cakes that could fall on you or the ones with all the burning candles... but aside from those he rather loved cake. He gave a happy sound and hugged his friend's arm, "Yes, lets get cake next!" He seemed to have forgotten, at least for the moment, about the falling shelves... of course the odds that he would be going back to this store were slim to none.
Gera looked at him, obviously he didn't understand the joys of cake. He didn't eat. SO he didn't know how good they tasted or what delight they caused. Judging by the way Deimos clung to him in an happy manner he guessed it was a good thing. "Yes. Cake. Any kind. Not Chocolate. Auntie Trin is watching her...figure." he explained the instructions he had been given quite carefully.
He nodded again, "Alright, I am sure we can find a good one." He told his friend, finding himself a little curious now, "Maybe she is having a beading party? People come by, sit around talking, eat snacks, and make jewelry. I saw something like that on the television." The television was basically his window into things that he didn't want to be a part of which was... well basically everything.
Gera looked to Deimos and then thought on it. Auntie Trin kept mostly to herself. She wasn't much for people which was strange.
"I don't know." he explained as he really had no idea. Some part of him really thought it was a random list to keep him busy.
"But the bakery is across the street..." He stated pointing to where they needed to head next. "Come then."
Deimos gave a nod of his head as he followed along until they reached the street and froze once more, starring at the street in a worried manner, "We should find the cross walk before we go across." He told Gera, though even then he disliked to cross streets since they were dangerous. It took all of his courage each time to do so and always left him feeling exhausted which made getting anywhere a bit tough for him. When Gera or another of his body guards were nearby though it was a little easier for him to do such things.
Gera looked across the street to where the bakery was directly ahead of them and then to where the closest cross walk was. It was too far in his opinion and he looked back to the bakery. There were no cars coming at this moment.
"Faster here," He stated as he wrapped an arm around Deimos, "We will cross here."
A squeaking sound of shock escaped from Deimos as he heard Gera's words, they were going to cross here?! He gave a little shake of his head then clung tightly to his friend, "I don't know... it seems like a bad idea Gera... the cross walk is right over there." He said, glancing over to where it was. It wasn't that far... surely it was a good idea for them to head over there... but of course as he was thinking that they were starting forward across the street here... which hand his hold on Gera increasing.
Gera had already made up his mind, and lets face it if a care decided to get in HIS way then too bad for the car. He moved slowly and then faster as the speed of a currently oncoming car wasn't slowing down. He made it across the road with little trouble, his arms wrapped around Dei to make sure he didn't quiver and accidentally fall out of his arms.
"See...bakery is right here now." He stated.
It was a miracle that he hadn't fainted dead away when he saw the car coming there way, it left him feeling dizzy, and he was leaning into his friend, a sigh of relief escaping from him, "Ahh... w-we made it..." He murmured, sounding as though he hadn't thought that they were going to make it, having thought the whole time that they were going to end up road kill.
Gera nodded his head, thinking as if there was no other option but for them to make it. It seemed the most logical thing, he had made a point to get there and he had. He loosened his hold on Deimos though he didn't let go...he felt how weak the other felt.
Weak and foolish creatures.
"You okay?"
He was trembling from head to toe but when the question was asked he gave a nod of his head, agreeing that he was alright as he always did even though he was far from it, "I will... be alright just need to... catch my breath is all..." He said in a slightly dazed manner. He just had to breath was all and get his heart to calm its racing yet again. He was grateful that Gera hadn't let him go completely or else he might have collapsed then and there and how embarrassing would that have been?
Gera looked to Deimos and then to the bakery and then back to Dei. He knelt down and then basically swung or moved Dei to get onto his back.
"Come this is faster..." he stated though he didn't sound impatient it was easy to tell that he wasn't sure what the big deal was. The car hadn't gotten close enough at all to have caused worry.
Deimos looked down at his friend as he found himself lifted up onto his shoulders then snuggled against him, "Thank you, Gera... Once I get the strength back in my legs I will carry myself again." He told the metal boy, glad for the help. This really was a treacherous journey tonight, wasn't it? It had him wishing he were at home hiding under the blankets on his bed where he was completely safe from everything aside from possibly potential suffocation due to the blanket getting tangled around him.
Gera only nodded his head and he used his body to make the 'makeshift chair' for Deimos to sit on whilst he was on his back. He moved forward slowly so as to not shake Deimos too much, and soon...agonizingly soon they reached the door to the bakery and he opened the door. There was a jingle of a bell that announced a customer he looked up at the sound of it and then proceeded inward.
Deimos seemed to perk up a little bit when they arrived inside of the bakery, looking around the place then gave a bit of a smile, "Mmm, it smells good in here." He murmured to Gera, looking into the different cases as they moved by them, eyes going wide as he took in the detail of the cakes, they were lovely! His eyes went wide as he inspected them, "They have such pretty treats here." He told Gera, hugging him before he slipped down off Gera's back, carefully moving under his power once more.
It occurred to Gera that Deimos liked this place, liked the stuff inside of this place and he allowed the boy to slip off of him to then gaze at the treats that were set up there. He watched as the boy oooh and awwwed over the cakes. They were cakes to him. Different colors and different makes. Different decorations.
"Which do you like?" he inquired indifferent himself.
He looked over his shoulder at Gera then shrugged, "They are all really nice, I kind of like this one with the blue frosting and the pretty swirling designs on it." He said, lifting a hand to point at it, "Though for Miss Trin we should look around and see if there is a pretty, purple cake here somewhere." He suggested to his friend wit a smile.
Gera watched him, noticed how his mood had improved upon entering the bakery and then nodded his head. Though he didn't care which one it was he found that to Deimos it was important.
"Yes...purple. Just not chocolate." He reconfirmed as he tried to quietly walk behind Deimos following him like a large guard dog.
He gave a nod, watching the way that Gera was following along after him, giving him a nod before setting to looking around at the different cakes. His eyes went wide and he knelt down near one of the cases to point at a pretty cake that had a lot of purple flowers on it, "This one is really pretty." He murmured. Just as he was about to ask Gera if that was the one he wanted one of people who worked at the store lifted up from where she was knelt down before the counter, startling Deimos, causing him to give a squeak of shock before poofing out of sight for a moment.
Gera had not noticed any threat, and when Deimos disappeared he reached down to grab the woman by the arm and yanked her away from where Dei had just been. She gave a yelp as his hold was not gentle but at least he didn't break anything...
"Stay back." he ordered the woman who was glaring at him rather furiously now.
Deimos swallowed hard, trying to get his racing heart under control, he thought that coming inside to this nice place had helped him to get over the fears caused by the earlier incidents but it would appear that he was still a bit on edge even if he hadn't noticed. He drew in a deep breath then let it out slowly before he reached a hand out setting it on his friend's shoulder when he caught hold of the woman that it would seem he saw as a threat from the looks of it, "I'm alright... sorry, sorry... I am a bit jumpy still it seems." He murmured as he slowly reappeared into sight.
Gera looked back to Deimos and then nodded his head, though he caught the woman glaring at him she soon turned her head way by his rather intense stare back.
"Choose a cake then..." He muttered sounding on edge himself. He didn't like that Dei was so afraid...what if something truly bad did happen??
He nodded his head as he looked up a the woman that Gera was seeming to be trying to glare holes through. He motioned at the cake that he'd been looking at before that woman had startled him into vanishing, "W-We should get this one." He said, motioning to the purple cake that had the flowers on it. He glanced to the little blue one with the swirling pattern, thought on it, then motioned, "And that one too, I can pay for my cake if you want to pay for Miss Trin's cake." He said, digging into his messenger bag to find his money.
Gera nodded his head and then promptly ordered the cake Deimos suggested, the person behind the counter seemed very leery of Gera now, especially since they lost a customer due to his yanking the woman out of the way. Gera waited patiently and then waited for Deimos to get his cake. He paid for his own and then prompt turned to exit the bakery. He was to escort Deimos back home now. His errands were done.
Deimos apologized to the people behind the counter as he paid for his cake then turned to hurried follow after Gera, tucking his cake carefully into his bag then gave Gera a smile, "Thank you again." He murmured to him, seeming to have been saved on a few occasions now. He looked down at the matching cake boxes they carried then smiled, "I can't wait to share this with Momma Jiang, I hope that Miss Trin likes the cake and the beads that you got for her."
The robot only nodded his head breifly it was strange for him to be carrying a cake...it looked very unsuited for him to be carrying such a thing. In fact he looked like he came out of a comic book. When ROBOTS ATTACK THE BAKERY.
Still he looked to Deimos to make sure he was okay, and then he nodded his head.
"....Jiang. Is..male yes?" he asked as he started his way back in the direction of Deimos's house.
He glanced over at Gera and then gave a little giggle and a nod, "Yes, Momma Jiang is a boy." He said as they headed along once more, they were headingback for home he could tell from the direction they were going and a part of him was sad knowing that they were heading back already... but at the same time he was relieved since it meant going home to sleep, he really needed a nap after the tiring journey that they had all gone on together.
From what Gera had read and learned the term mother was a female term. He didn't feel the urge to correct him and thus didn't. They continued walking, Gera kept close just in case and walked on the side where the cars drove so that Dei wouldn't have to worry about a car leaping out trying to get him.
"I only have Auntie Trin..and sister Roxy.." he murmured, wondering what a mother really was like.
"At our house is Momma Jiang, Daddy Reu, and my twin Wynn." He explained, looking a little uncertain as he spoke of his twin as they had been growing apart, not having been nearly as close of late as they had been when they were teeny tiny, back before they had gained their legs, before Deimos had started to get brave enough to leave home on his own. He gave a bit of a half shrug, it wasn't he should burden with Gera though.
"Oh and of course there is Gigantes as well but you know about him well enough. I should have gotten something for him, to make up for leaving him at home." He thought to himself out loud, oh well... maybe he would like some cake? He would need to ask Gigan if cats were allowed to have cat when he got back.
Gera listened and nodded his head, he had never met Deimos's twin, and probably never would of known he had a twin if Dei hadn't of told him. He found it vaguely interesting that the cat was included in the family. Did everyone treat animals this way? He pondered lightly as he then nodded his head showing he was still listening to Deimos.
"Roxy...is growing distant from me....she likes to play with Mrrh and Kay more..."
He nodded, "I know how that goes... its hard to get time for me to do stuff with Wynn as well." He murmured, then gave a bit of a smile, "I guess you just... need to keep trying to talk to her when your able, its what I should be doing." He should but it was among the long list of things that he didn't really do very often... he wasn't the best at approaching people after all even Wynn since both he and Wynn had grown so much.
Gera wasn't sure if talking to his sister would help any, she was loud and full of energy, she didn't like he was trying to protect her...things had been so much simpler before that time...and the blood. And perhaps that was part of it, he made her nervous.Though she tried not to show it she was nervous of him.
"I could try," he murmured softly looking rather unconvinced.
He gave him a smile before he reached a hand out to sooth it gently over Gera's hair, "I am sure things will be alright." Or at least he wanted to think so, he was still a little worried about the one that Roxy was hanging out with since that unknown entity wasn't trusted by Kay or liked by Gera... but if Roxy liked him and could deal with him maybe he was alright? He had no real clue and did his best to be comforting since it seemed that Gera was so worried about things.
Gera nodded his head looking a smidgen like his old self. Worry on his face, an emotion he was getting use to. Perhaps too accustomed to.
He felt Deimos's hand through his liquidy metal hair and he only glanced at him from the corner of his eye, he looked forward again.
"I think it will be okay...I will watch her...and him. Make sure nothing bad happens."
He nodded his head, thinking that it would be good idea for Gera to keep an eye on Roxy and her friend... it was odd, knowing that the girl was his sister had seemed to clear up that odd jealous feeling from earlier. It was... kind of nice really. He smiled at Gera as they walked along, "I am sure that things will be alright. And if not I am sure you could give that Mrrh person a toss if he gets out of line." Gera was pretty strong so it was likely something he'd be capable of if needed.
That was the problem though, Gera wasn't sure if he could STOP himself from hurting Mrrh if the boy ended up hurting Roxy in any fashion. It was what he mostly worried about. And it was what his mind often batteled with. He was protecting Roxy, but to what extent?
"That..is what I worry about." He continued as he slowed down a bit Deimos's house was already nearing in the distance.
Deimos looked over at him, looking a little curious, "What do you mean? Worried about tossing Mrrh?" He asked, thinking on it for a moment before nodding. Given he'd been rather angry at that woman for just startling him earlier he could see where the danger could bubble up if something happened to Roxy. He wondered for a moment about the Mrrh person and if he would even stand a chance. Looking at Gera he highly doubted it... he shook his head quickly, not wanting to think about it or worry about his friend and all of the dangers that he could present... if he did that then he would worry about all his friends and end up avoiding them or something.
"I think things will be alright." Or at least he really wanted to think that things were going to be alright.
Gera nodded his head at the first question and then shook his head, "Not...tossing. Hurting. I may go too far," he explained thinking to the man who had simply grabbed Roxy when she was young. He hadn't even done anything to her to justify what he did to him...
He could only hope that Deimos would be right when he said that things would be okay. Soon though they were there, standing before Deimos's house. Gera was sure that Dei would be happy finally being home and out of the big scary world. He looked at Dei expectantly as if waiting for him to go inside.
Deimos looked up at his place before he gave a smile, "Your a good guy from what I have seen Gera, your always protecting people, and its very nice of you to do. Maybe you should take a day off though, it might be good for you since you won't have to worry to much over everyone else and you can think about just you and stuff you want to do." He suggested. He gave his friend another smile before he dug out his key from his messenger bag so he could open up the front door.

Page In My Notebook Its been a little while since I have written anything in my journal aside from the directions that I take down when I am working on filling out pieces of my map. I went out today with Gera... and I must admit that I am a little worried about my friend. Something... something seems to be a little off with him. I'd say that he is more serious but it wasn't that, not quite. There were times he seemed to have no emotion at all, other times where he seemed to be doing a lot of internalizing, and then when he seemed out right hostile toward that woman in the bakery. He says that its because of Roxy and the one called 'Mrrh'. I don't even know who that person is but just thinking on the name puts me on edge. I should feel bad about it, I don't want to be mean to some person I don't even know and might not ever meet but... knowing that both Kay and Gera don't trust him, it makes me not only distrust him myself it also makes me want to flee at the mere mention or thought of his name. That isn't what I am wanting to write about at the moment... though I will admit I am a little happy hearing that Roxy has someone that she is spending all her time with that isn't Gera. More so upon hearing that she was his sister and I am not exactly sure why, I was a little... jealous when I first saw her with him, sitting up on his shoulders, and otherwise monopolizing his time. Hearing what he says about her more so, it seems he really wants to spend his time protecting her and when I was with him it seemed that the being protected role fell to me. I didn't mind, I like have someone to help protect me from all the scary things out there... but at the same time I don't know, it seems like Gera needs some time off. I was thinking that it would be interesting to do that for him, to bring him somewhere fun! Though... I don't know enough about Gera to know what he might think is fun. He doesn't eat so that cuts out a lot of things like going out for a meal or something. I don't know what he would think of going to the movies or to a park. There are a lot of things I am unable to do because of my fears and more so when you add in things that Gera doesn't do... but if I think on it hard enough maybe I will come up with something. That or I will give myself an aneurysm which wouldn't be any fun if what the Medical Channel says... I don't know why we have that channel or why I watch it, I don't know why I watch the Animal Channel either, both are so scary... ~ Deimos

Filling in the Blanks
Deimos was floating just above the floor and above the map that he had fully open laying out in front of him. He had a pen in one hand and his notebook was open and sitting on his genie tail lap. He gave a happy smile as he read over his directions that he'd taken down in his notebook and then nodded and put a little mark on the map where this place was and smiled. The heart on his map corresponded to the pet store he'd stumbled across on yesterday's walk and Gigan had been so happy to visit... though he had also stuck himself to the side of one of the aquariums and couldn't be talked into leaving it. So while he had wandered around looking at other stuff, getting horribly startled to find that spiders were apparently kept as pets since there was a bunch of them in one section of the shop. There was one point in his life when he had been forced to battle one of them to save his own life but because he had a choice in that case he had fled away from the spider section.
He avoided the section that was full of rodents as well since all he could think about was the black plague which was carried by rats, the section full of birds because of the fear of bird flu, and the part with the reptiles because... where there was a bunch of reptiles that had starred at him in an unblinking manner until he ran off. The only place that was a good for him was where the pet food was since he needed to get a bag for Gigan anyway, and the section that had the puppies and kittens in it since they were small, cute, and fluffy and as such they were completely adorable and no way intimidating even in his mind. They had very sweet eyes as well, gazing at him with a 'take me home' look but he was able to resist knowing that they would grow in to giants like Gigantes. It didn't even cross his mind that not all cats would get as big as Gigan, he had no idea since he didn't often approach full grown cats aside from his own cat.
His pen moved along and put a little star and he gave another happy sound, that had been three days ago when he went out and found an ice cream place, a discovery that had made Gigan's day as he'd gotten him a cup of ice cream of his own while he'd eaten a bowl. He was quite proud of himself for eating something made with milk when the idea of milk and where it came from had always bothered Deimos to no end... but he'd done it! He'd eaten ice cream and he had to admit that despite his disgust over the origins of milk he loved the taste of the ice cream, it was so sweet and good! He wished someone had told him ahead of time. He was going to have to bring someone to that place sometime. Maybe Kay... Gera didn't eat and Anon wasn't awake during the day time. He paused for a moment looking from side to side, wondering if maybe Wynn would like it... did he like ice cream?
A little sighing sound escaped from Dei's dark colored lips as he realized he really had no idea if Wynn liked it or not, then again there was a lot they didn't know about each other since they both seemed to be leading separate lives at the moment. It was something that should me remedied, at least the other day when they talked was a good start to just that.
He flipped the page on his notebook and made one last mark on his map, this time a triangle, this place wasn't nearly as interesting. Well at least for him, to him it was down right terrifying but perhaps useful to know. It was a place called an 'Automotive Body Shop' a place where they repaired cars. While he hadn't liked the dangers there, the loud noise, and the scents of the place he had stopped to watch for a bit as the men repairing the cars and fixing the dents in them had reminded him a bit of when Gera had fixed his dented up arm when he'd shielded him from that fall set of shelves, the metal boy could be really nice at times. He was glad that he had saved him in such a fashion though he didn't like that he had gotten hurt in the process, he found himself for a moment wondering if Gera had been hurt, did he feel pain? Did metal feel pain? He wasn't sure but it was a question to ask of him... if he didn't feel pain did that mean he couldn't feel nice things like tickling either?
He made a note to ask him about it when they saw each other next. He tilted his head from one side to the other then nodded, "Next time we need to go here, Gigan." He tapped a finger against his map where a wide open spot was located. It would involve a lot of foot work on his part but it would be worth it to see what was in that section. He set to work cleaning up then, his notebook and pen were put in his messenger back, the map was allowed to dry before it was folded up and put into the bag as well. He closed the bag, rose up, recalled his feet and turned to the cat, "Come on, kitty! Lets get a snack." He said, hanging his bag up on the hook that was put up for his bag in his room and the two of them headed out to go in search of a snack.

A Fateful Meeting: Part One
Deimos had started off in the same way that he always did, he got snacks together for himself and Gigan, bottles of water, a bowl to pour it for Gigan who they had learned couldn't drink out of the bottle, as well as the most important items being his notebook, pen, and map. They were going to the blank spot on the map today, to see what was there that could be added of importance and he was both excited and frightened. He really was having a lot of fun when it came to filling in his map, not only did he feel accomplished each time he could add something new to the map but it was helping him to get out and about more, helping him to face fears even if it wasn't helping to get over them. He as sure that it was going to take more then just a few walks here and there to help him to get over any of the fears that were on the long list in his mind.
He looked down at his bodyguard of a cat and gave him a smile, "Alright, we are going to a new place today which means that we are going to have a bit of a walk ahead of us. I have snacks as well as water plus I have some money so we will be able to buy lunch if we find a place that looks good as well." He told Gigantes who eagerly nodded, tail lashing behind him in a manner that showed he was pleased. He loved these walks more then anything else since it always meant good food as well as visiting some interesting places. The food was always a huge bonus as well, there were always good places to stop for some sort of delicious treat or another and all of the walking kept those treats from making Gigan fat.
It was early yet, he had decided that if he wanted to get back in time for dinner it was best that he headed out at a decent time, so here he was at seven in the morning, heading out from home toward that blank spot, "Alright, this should prove to be a lot of fun." He told Gigan as they headed out, locking the door after themselves, the key getting put into his bag as well. The two of them went across the screened in porch, down the steps, and on his way.
The walk was a nice one, the direction that they were headed had an open look to it, the farther out they were went the less people there were, the less houses as well, there wasn't a whole lot to note here but it was rather pretty. He looked over at Gigan before giving a happy sound, "This place, its so pretty Gigantes! I wish that I had a camera or something, that would be..." His eyes went wide, "Oh! That's a good idea! We could get a camera and put a picture of the places that go with the marks on the map in our notebook Gigan!" He said, sounding breathless and excited. It was a most wonderful idea but he would need to talk with his parents, he wasn't sure how much a camera cost and he didn't want to ask for something that was to expensive from them... he would feel guilty doing that, the last thing he wanted was to do anything that would cause them to be upset with him. His worst fear after all was losing his family so he didn't want to risk something that could cause that.
He shook his head to clear that line of though, not wanting to think about it even the list, "Shall we keep going?" He asked, moving along with a smile on his lips.
Gigan looked from side to side, rising up on his hind legs for a moment to get a look around at what had his friend in such a giddy mood and decided that he might be right. After all there were lots of things here that he could smell, birds were around as were some rodents, they would all taste quite delicious if he could get his paws on something... not in front of Deimos though as he didn't want the boy to be afraid of him. The cat gave a purring sound before he trotted along after him, tail swishing as they headed along. If he saw a chance to slip away he was going to get himself a tasty birdy to make a meal of he thought to himself a very cat like manner. The tough part being just that, he didn't want to leave Dei alone to long... so he would have to see what happened from here.
As they walked along as strange sort of sensation started to prickle up the boy's back though he wasn't sure why. I twas... as though... someone was starring at him? He wondered why someone would want to stare at him so hard that he could feel it... was it his hair? Perhaps the fact that he was talking a cat? What if was a bear that was wanting to eat him?! He set to looking from side to side before he looked down at Gigantes, "I... think something is watching us, Gigan." He whispered to the cat.
The dark colored, one eyed cat puffed up and gave a little hiss, his ears laying back. That someone was watching them and upsetting Deimos was enough to put the cat into a bad mood. He looked from side to side, sniffing at the air... then seemed confused. He could smell something... odd, something that didn't make sense. There was the scent of the ocean, something they were far from, mixed with something he could only describe as reptilian in nature but... more, not just a lizard or something but something he would describe as... almost grand. Grand and dangerous, he gave a hiss then went charging toward where he smelled the being to try to take it on...
Deimos's eyes got huge and he reached out, trying to catch hold of his cat but missed as he went charging by, "Wait! Gigan come back!" He cried out after the cat before he found himself trying to follow after him as he rushed off into the tall grass...

A Fateful Meeting: Part Two
Leviathan had scented him far before the jewel eyed princess had noticed him, in fact it was long before they had even entered the area where the place started to get less like a town and more like a mix of trees and a field and he had felt so very excited. His heart was thudding in his chest like a drum and a smirk was on his lips as he studied him as he walked along with only a cat to look after him. This was the Dragon Goddess smiling upon him, he was her favorite child he thought to himself as nothing else but her blessing could explain why he'd found this princess so easily and in a place that wasn't inhabited by many if any other people. There would be no would be heroes here, he would be able to grab the princess and bring her back to his territory where she would be kept as his captive until the appropriate time when he would battle it out in an epic duel against her knight! It was such a wonderful day!
He sank down low against the ground and had moved to follow along after him, doing his best to keep to where the other wouldn't be able to smell his scent. He wasn't sure if the princess was capable of such a thing but surely her fluffy body guard would be able to smell him and give her fair warning. It was clear from the way that she was talking with the cat that she must be able to understand animals, that made it dangerous for him, she might have larger allies out there in the forest so he was going to have to take this slowly and carefully. He was eager to get his hands on the girl but he wasn't a fool, he wanted to make sure to this right the first time because if he missed the first time catching her alone like this again would be quite difficult to do.
When the grass started to get tall, when trees started to be added more and more to the mix he was finding that he was in better and better of a position. Just as with hunting with Arlen he was going to make uses of these trees to hide himself. He didn't think that he could crawl into one and hope the jewel eyed princess was foolish enough to come to where he was but he knew that he could hide himself behind them and use them to get closer and closer, until he was able to pounce out of his hiding spot to grab hold of her, to take her prisoner, and make sure that he got her to his stretch of beach where he would be at an advantage since it was his home.
The sea serpent grinned as the space between himself and his prospective victim was getting smaller and smaller and he was getting closer and closer to her. It wouldn't be long now he thought to himself then paused when the girl did, ducking behind a tree when she seemed to be looking around. Damn... had she heard him? Smelled him? What had given him away? He peeked out again and realized that her bodyguard of a cat was no long present at her side and he found himself looking around for it, a little worried only because he was certain that the creature had run off to get something bigger that was going to battle with him... but he was proved wrong as a moment later the beast came lunging out of the grass, nothing but hissing and claws and black fur.
Levi jumped back to attempt to dodge the beast, he was able to save his vital parts though the cat landed on his tail, dug his claws in, and hiss as it tried to claws through his scales. He gave a growling sound in his throat as he set his coils to roiling in an attempt to buck him off, something that didn't quite seem to be working as the cat was clinging to him in an insistent manner. He set to shaking harder when he heard the voice of the princess crying out the cat's name as she tried to find the two of them... excellent... a hostage to use to catch his other hostage. He set from shaking his coils to instead wrap them around Gigan, giving him a squeeze or warning before he turned around so that he would be able to meet the gaze of the Princess when she arrived. All he had to do now was threaten her in a manner that was worthy of the situation.
As she came around the tree to where he was standing she froze in place, eyes beautiful eyes going quite wide. He gave a smirk that showed many sharp teeth, rose up a bit on his coils to appear bigger, and then started to talk, "Afternoon Princess I am..." He was using his most dramatic villain voice as he began only to pause a couple words into it as the Princess had gone from starring to just... collapsing, "The Hell...?" He gave a flick of his tail sending the cat flying, ignoring it as the beast bounced a nearby tree leaving Gigan dazed and slithered over to the princess, lowering a hand to shake it in front of her face... then started to laugh, hard.
She'd... she'd fainted... just the mere presence of his greatness had caused the princess to fall before him into a heap making it that much easier for him to take her. He moved to untangle her from the bag she carried before she lifted her up, tossed her limp form over his shoulder and headed back for home. Truly he was blessed!
It was a short time later that the cat came to, shaking the thick, cotton stuffed feeling from head, and then looked around in a rather confused manner. Where... what... What had just happened? There was a scaly snake like creature and it had... where was Deimos?! The cat lunged to his feet despite the swimming feeling in his head looking from side to side, trying to catch sight of him, of where the pink haired boy had gone but all that he found of him was Dei's precious bag. He gave a little sound in his throat as it started to dawn on him what had happened, that... creature, that scaly thing had taken Deimos away with him! He gave a growl, ears laying back, his good golden eye went narrowed. He would find him and he would take back Deimos! The cat grabbed the handle of his back and went off in pursuit of the snake monster and Dei, able to at least follow along after them by scent though it was slow going because of the bag. He couldn't leave it behind though, the bag meant to much to Deimos for him to lose it.

Pinned by Fear
Deimos was someone that lived with fear, he was afraid of most everything from spiders to certain colors to sharp pointy objects so when he found himself face to face with something that was completely terrifying he found himself freezing up. He'd been doing well to try to face his fears, really he had... but now he could tell that he was far from being free of his fear. In fact he had been trapped by it and four lines drawn in the sand. He'd woke up what felt like forever ago but he was sure was only a few hours. He was laying in the warm sand starring up at a expansive, cloudless blue sky and found himself laying near the ocean having no idea how he'd arrived there... until he saw that scaly boy again. His name was Leviathan and he was the Lord of the Ocean or so he'd claimed.
The legless snake had slithered over to him wielding a stick and for a moment he'd been completely certain that he meant to hit him with it... but instead of that it was something else, something that he would consider to be worse. The boy slithered around him, drawing a box around him before tossing the stick aside and turned to look at Deimos, starring him down. He'd made it sound quite simple from there 'leave this box and I will eat you' followed by, 'you can leave when your knight arrives' and then he slithered off and went into the ocean and hadn't come up since. He'd been sitting here since then unable to even consider standing up never mind leaving the box. He didn't want to be eaten and he was pretty well sure that the scaly boy was dead serious and that he would go through with his end of the threat if he had to. He didn't want to be eaten... that couldn't be a good way to go, it had to painful from what he'd seen on the animal channel.
Why again did he watch that channel he found himself asking himself mentally, watching it meant he knew exactly how snakes hunted and killed their prey, it meant that he knew how he would die if he tried to leave... a crushing death mixed with suffocation which was far from what he wanted to deal with. He would do as he was told and say inside of the square that was inside of the boy but he found himself wondering about the second thing. What did the Lord of the Ocean mean by when his knight arrived? Deimos knew what a knight was but who was Leviathan referring to? It could have been anyone that had guarded him before today which was Kay, Gera, Anon, either of his parents of his brother... he didn't want for any of them to deal with that scary monster though, didn't want for them to get hurt.
It meant that he would have to hope for the best, hope that nobody showed up, that nobody come to look for him, and that the guy would get bored with waiting and let him go. That was the best scenario he could come up with. Maybe the guy had mistaken him for someone else? After all he couldn't think of why he would want to steal him like this and it made even less sense when you added in the part about the knight, it seemed almost as though it were that person, whoever it was, that the scaly one was really after, "So weird..." He murmured to himself, so weird... but he figured that he would soon find out what was going to happen. He looked over his shoulder toward the water, certain that the creature was watching him even now to make sure that he didn't leave. Deimos sighed and laid back on the ground, starring up toward the sky and waited. If it weren't for all the extenuating circumstances he might almost like this place, he had wanted to see an ocean... though he didn't want to go into it and things like Leviathan were the reason for his fear of the water.
Ironic that the thing in the ocean that was the most scary was also able to leave from the depths of the water to go around kidnapping people at random. This added several new fears to his list including the fear of Leviathan, snakes, the ocean even more so, and closed in spaces. He looked at each of the lines that were holding him in place before letting his eyes close. He would leave as soon as he was able, and then he would make sure to never come to this beach again... once he figured out where this beach was.

Kirin Scrawl I know that I should be happy for Deimos and praise his ability to leave home on his own but it actually worries me to a point. I don't like that he leaves so early and comes back so late, more so that he doesn't always make it home. The first night he stayed out the whole night it turns out he was staying with a friend that lives in a graveyard... it seems strange to me that someone could live in that sort of environment, more so that Deimos would willing go to such a place. It worries me that he is getting out and about, I know I should be proud of his strength but given past experience of my own the outside world makes me nervous. I must prefer staying at home and whenever possible prefer to just curl up and rest with Reu, I always feel safest with him.
I wonder if perhaps if grounding him to his room was the best idea? I feel it was a good idea to keep Deimos home where he is safe. Perhaps he needs a leash, that way he can't wander off to far... I know I sound bad, over protective even, but I would rather know that he is safe then to worry about him at all hours of the day and night because he has decided a blank part of that map he is so obsessed with needs to be filled out. Especially since, in some way I don't understand he was able to get snagged by a dragon!
Deimos isn't the sort that would go anywhere with a stranger due to his fear of them, of germs, and of various other things that would deter him from going with them of his own accord but he is also as soft as I am so easily grabbed. Deimos seems to be close friends with Gera these days which in a way is a good thing, he is strong enough to look after Dei. Just the other afternoon the metal boy came over to pick up Deimos, to escort him while they went out on a walk. Deimos came back with the best cake and stories about what all they had done. Gera seems like a good kid but I must admit that I am glad that both are young and naive yet. I don't want them getting any ideas similar to idea that Reu and I get, not that they are bad ideas they are rather enjoyable, but not something I want my sons to think of already. Then again I have no clue as to if they would even like each other in such a manner. Just because I like men does mean that my sons will end up the same way.
I am thinking I want to have a nice, family dinner sometime soon. We don't seem to all eat together as a group as much as I would like to. Someone always seems to be missing when we try it, sometimes two people, its kind of sad really. I want my family to be closer and being the 'Mom' in the family I feel that its my job to attempt to get them together, I will have to do my best for everyone. I know I am the weakest one in the family despite being the second oldest but I will still try my hardest, I want everyone to be happy, want them to know that I love them.

An Unexpected Savior: Part One
(( Done via AIM with Dg ))
He had an idea of where Deimos was, he'd followed him and the one that had taken him prisoner to a point until he had a feeling where he was going. As such he had turned on his heel then to head in the opposite direction. He wasn't a coward, really he wasn't, but he knew that he couldn't take on the scaly thing that had taken his friend. He had tried and his claws seemed ineffective against the being's thick skin. Not to mention there was an unfair size difference between the two of them. Where to go from here had been only a short debate, while he would liked to have drafted Gera and his thick metal hide that was capable of summoning forth weapons he had no idea where to find him. He was going to look for someone else, someone that would be able to help better. He needed Deimos's family! Though... as he got back to the house, dragging along Dei's bag with him, he found himself with a bit of a bit of an impass. Jiang was a sweet creature, he shared food with him even though he could tell that the kirin was a bit scared but there in lay the danger. If he brought him he had a feeling Jiang would end up kidnapped as well...
Then there was the big guy, Reu... he wasn't sure what it was about him but looking at that one always seemed to put Gigantes on edge, made his fur stand up on end, and he didn't think he would be able to spend as much time around him as would be needed to get him to follow him to where Deimos was.
There was the last member of the family, the pink child that was Deimos's brother and other half... it seem that this duty of helping out would fall to him the cat thought to himself as he set to dragging the bag up the walkway, onto the porch, and moved to sit at the door, pawing at it and meowing loudly.
Wynn had been in the process of getting dressed to go out when he heard the scratching. The boy came downstairs and opened the door, blinking down at the kitty. "Hey, Gigan, what're you doing here?" he said, reaching down to pat the feline's head, "I thought you and Dei went out."
It was then that the boy noticed the bag. "What happened to Dei?" Wynn asked, eyes widening. Not that the kitty could exactly tell him but Gigantes has its ways. Whatever was going on, it was trouble.
The cat was happy when the door opened up and he found the one that he was looking for standing there before him, he quickly pulled the bag into the house so that it would be safe knowing tha tthe contents within it were something that was important to Deimos. He knew that the boy loved his map and working on filling it in, it was what annoyed him most abou this situation... they were supposed to be filling out details of a section of the map not getting waylaid by serpent creatures. Once the bag was in the house he set forth at a run, heading halfway down the walkway before he turned to stare at Wynn with his one eye and then started to meow again as though trying to summon the boy forth.
Wynn blinked before nodding. "Wait just a sec, Gigan!" he shouted before dashing into the house. He had to go find Deimos! His brother was probably scared or hurt somewhere, and Wynn needed to be prepared!
Pulling on his shoes and a thick leather coat - bought by his Dad as a present - the boy searched around for something to take as a weapon. Reumiae's hunting knife wasn't hard to locate and it wasn't long after that that Wynn was dashing outside, the knife strapped to his belt as he went to chase down whoever took his big brother. "Okay, I'm ready, let's go!"
He was thankful for his strong sense of smell, it was what helped him to follow even older scents well enough that he could get back to where it had happened. It was a bit of a run though and he seemed a bit reluctant to slow down, after all he had no idea if what had taken Deimos was planning to eat him or not. It looked as though it might do just that! Gigan had hated to have to abandon the pink haired boy to go all the way back home but it was for the best. An ally was needed in this instance and that he had been smart enough to bring a weapon helped, he could only hope it would get through those scales in a way his claws couldn't.
He paused again to give Wynn a chance to catch his breath though the cat didn't seem to sit still, sniffing at everything, meowing, pacing, and otherwise wanting for them to continue forward as soon as his ally in this rescue mission was ready for it. They were getting closer, this forest would give way to a grassy area, and then beach if his sense of smell was right. He could smell the faintest hint of salt in the air when the wind blew just right and it did make sense since that creature smelled so strongly of salt itself.
As they dashed along, Wynn started to notice the changes in scenery. A beach? What was Deimos doing at a beach anyway? He was sure they were nice but his brother wasn't the type to spend much time near the water, if his memory served correct. Though, it'd been a while since he'd spent much time with his brother, so maybe things had changed and Wynn just didn't know better.
As they reached the edge of the beach Gigan paused and looked more then a little confused as he spotted Deimos. He was right there... just... sitting there in the sand. The cat looked from side to side quickly before racing forward across the sun heated sand toward him. He didn't understand, what had happened? Where was that scaly thing? Why was he just sitting here instead of coming home? He jumped from the sand and onto his lap, not noticing until he was nuzzling against the other boy that he was sitting in a square that had been drawn in the sand.
Deimos, who had been kind of spacing off as he'd been sitting in the same spot for who knew how long now, watching the sky, looking a bit out of it. He was thirsty and far to hot, then there was his fear about that thing he knew was watching him, not to mention his confusion over the snake's cryptic words. He gave an 'omph' sound as Gigan tackled him and his arms instantly wrapped around the cat, hugging him tight... then he lifted his head and his eyes went wide, "W-Wynn?" He squeaked, pushing to his feet but didn't move so much as an inch from where he was. His... brother? What was his brother doing here...? Surely Wynn wasn't the knight that the scaly one was after?
Wynn put his fingers up to his lips in a "shhh" motion and slipped out of sight. He couldn't turn invisible like his brother could, but he at least knew how to hide decently. The boy needed a plan and fast. And that's when it hit him.
A moment later, it seemed like Wynn walked out once again, heading directly for the spot his brother was. "You okay, Deimos?" the boy asked, careful to not touch his brother at all.
Deimos gave a little nod of his head as he glanced toward the water for a moment and then back to his brother, "W-What... how?" He murmured, wondering why and how Wynn had come here, it was dangerous and he didn't want him to get hurt... the mere idea that he might be had him shaking a bit. He stepped a little closer to him, careful not to move passed the lines that he was boxed in by, "I... am alright, just a little... well, scared." Not that it was different then any other time though, huh?
"Oh, Gigan showed up at the house so I followed 'im." the pink boy laughed, scratching the back of his head. "I was worried cause he wasn't with you."
"Why're you in a box?" the boy asked, cocking his head to the side.
Deimos gave a bit of a smile, hugging his fluffy if ugly cat tightly before setting him down, "Thank you, its very nice of you to come here Wynn but... you should go before he shows up, I don't want him to hurt you." He said, he didn't put it passed the snake to not try to eat Wynn as well.
His eyes dropped, to look down along the four lines that held him in place, "He said if I leave the box he would eat me, I am supposed to wait here for... well for a knight to show up but I don't know who that is." He said, looking more then a little uncertain. He was waiting for some mystery person and he could only hope the one he was waiting for wasn't Wynn.
"Oh, well maybe I count as a knight? I have a knife?" Wynn said with a pleasant smile. "Anyway, let's go home. If whatever it is tries to eat you, I'll stab it!"
Deimos's eyes went as wide as dinner plates, "A k-knife?! W-Wynn you could get hurt with that!" He gasped out, sounding quite worried now about Wynn and the idea that he had something like that with him. What if he were to fall and hurt himself on it? That didn't sound in anyway safe, carrying around something like that in fact seemed like the worst idea in fact.He had to lifted one hand to rub it against his forehead in an attempt to push away the list of things that came to mind of what could happen to his brother.
"I... I can't go, I don't want him to be mad at you or hurt you, Wynn... so maybe you should..." He trailed off as he felt a shadow fall over him and he turned slowly to look over his shoulder, a squeak escaping from him as he spotted his captor who was standing there looking... unhappy? Levi starred at the pink shorty that was standing there with his stolen princess and looked unamused about the interference, "What are you doing here?" He demanded. "I'm taking Dei home!" Wynn said firmly, glaring at the very snaky creature that had nabbed his brother.
Levi starred down at Wynn for a long moment before he started to laugh in an amused fashion, "Oh really, little boy?" He asked, finding it a bit funny. Well at least this one seemed brave, the knight that he was waiting for hadn't arrived as of yet and he was starting to think that he didn't want this girl back, "Sorry, but no. That princess is staying right where she is until her knight arrives, after that she can do whatever she wants." Once he got his battle he didn't care what the jewel eyed princess did with herself.
Deimos gave a groan, lifted a hand to hide his face against it. Wait a second... princess... why was it people kept thinking him a girl?!
"Whaaaa? My brother's a PRINCE, not a princess!" Wynn said, cocking his head to the side. Daddy was a king after all. "Anyway, I'm his knight cause he's my brother!" the child said, brandishing the hunting knife he'd just unsheathed. "Give him back!"
Deimos looked a bit faint when Wynn drew the knife, looking as though he were trying to figure out how to stop him from swinging that dangerous thing around.
"Prince...? Brother...? Ahhahaha... right. She doesn't look anything like a Prince. Besides I highly doubt that any self respecting Prince would faint just at the mere sight of a dragon, that is for Princesses to do you know." He looked down at the weapon that was drawn and seemed to look at Wynn in a different light all of a sudden. Wait a moment now... that one seemed to be rather serious, even had a weapon to bring to this battle.
"Your her knight...?" His eyes went a bit wide and he looked suspicious and there was the slightest hint of... was that disappointment in his voice. Levi was just that, surely this runt wasn't the knight that came to save her? It wasn't supposed to be him, it was supposed to be the metal clad Gera, damn it! This wasn't right at all, it was some form of trick being used to throw him off.
"Don't be mean! Dei's just delicate, so's Mama Jiang!" Wynn said, stomping his foot. "Dei's a boy and he's my twin brother!"
The boy brandished the knife again, but was careful not to actually strike Levi with it. Firstly, because he would prefer not to try and kill some random weirdo, and secondly because this wasn't the real Wynn. "Yeah, I'm his knight! We're gonna go home!"
