"Like how?" Asked Alek innocently as he started walking away from sand and into cool fields of grass. "I mean is there something when we kissed that made you think of a couple's kiss?"
But then his face lit up with a smirk, "Good then." He purred and winked back at Ashierra, "I'm glad to have been your first." Suddenly he paused as he tried to remember his own first kiss, but no clear memory came to mind. Shaking his head since it really didn't matter, Alek continued walking.

Biting her lip, Ashierra looked off to the water. For one thing, the uncontrollable impulse she'd felt, then the fire down her back. Those suggested more than greeting kisses... But she wasn't used to talking about that type of contact, so she remained silent.
"I didn't say you were!" She exclaimed awkwardly. But she didn't say he wasn't either. "Just forget about it!" She snapped, crossing her arms defensivly across her chest, trying to get her stable, logical, usual and unemotional state of mind back as she padded slowly after the male.

"Aye, aye..." Muttered Alek before growing silent. But the silence only lasted for a full twenty seconds before he broke. "So..." Alek grinned unable to contain the urge to tease Ashierra, "Ashy's embarressed now?"
He chuckled softly to himself before trying to calm his thoughts. But really Alek was finding it hard to be quiet with her around. The cattaur hadn't had this much fun in a while after all.

"No, Lekkie, I'm not." She grumbled, arms still crossed protectivly. Her paws dragged as she walked, kicking the sand she was scooping up forward, aiming most of it and a glare at Alek. Wait- she was more mature than this!
She took a deep breath and swallowed her pout, though her arms remained crossed stubbornly against a yearn to touch his fur and face again. "Just forget about it." She said again.

Alek laughed and finally nodded, "Alright I'll try to forget about Ashy's embarrassment." He murmured softly with a teasing air. Spotting a log Alek moved towards it and gracefully jumped onto it. "Tada~" He purred before using the fallen tree as a bridge across a tiny stream.
Pausing on the center of the log, Alek looked to the north. There were mountains ahead of them he realized. "I hope you don't mind heights!" He called back over his shoulder before jumping down.

Snorting softly, she cocked an eyebrow at Alek. Tada? Over what? Climbing onto the log herself, she dipped down to scoop up a handful of the stream water for a drink. Smelling it first, she took a small sip. Yep. Comming from inland, it was actually fresh water. From the mountains most likely. She looked up at said mountains, smirking slightly. "No problem. Heights are a cakewalk."

Alek laughed, "Good then!" His tail twitched and the cattaur looked over at Ashierra from his position on the ground where he was lapping water from the stream. He had to bite back a comment about her reply though and focused deeply on the water. The sparkling water made Alek smile softly and so did the rest of the picturesque scenary. "This is nice."

Ashierra took a soothing gulp of the cool water. Looking up, she smiled gently, playing a bit with the water. "It is nice indeed. Cool and sweet. Kinda reminds me of-" 'home.' She looked back down at her wet hands. "-of where I came from."
After taking another gulp she licked her lips and stood up, stretching out her limbs. "So, a trip through the mountains is it then?" She asked, trying to show only a mild interest in the direction.

"Yeah...too bad it's too wet sometimes." Replied Alek as he shook his hands quickly to get rid of the clingy water drops that didn't evaporate. His eyes lit up then as Ashierra hinted about the place where she came from. But first he looked over to the mountains and nodded. "Yup, and no telling what's beyond them. Probably a desert or forest though. Hopefully desert, some heat would be nice."
Then tilting his head, Alek showed great interest in Ashierra's former statement. "Where do you come from, Ashy?" His tail curled around his paws as he gazed steadily at her. Not that he really talked about origins ,himself, but still he had to try asking.

Smirking slightly, Ashierra raised her eyes to the mountains again, wearing a nostalgic smile. "Yes. Desert. It'll be nice to see one of those again."
But her smile slipped and she walked along the path they were taking, not looking back at Alek. "No. Leave it be."

"Ooh, so you have been to one before!" Alek purred deeply and his voice was filled with light humor as he stretched, "Good, I won't have to worry about the flower wilting in the heat then."
The smile secretly fell from his face though at Ashierra's cold reply. A flicker of darkness filled the warm eyes and he silently sighed. So she didn't like talking about origins either. "Hey!" He called out and rushed to catch up with Ashierra. Walking past he brushed his tail comfortingly along her side, "No worries then...I understand."
The soft whisper and sincere look on his face was quickly wiped clean by a goofy smile. "What does Ashy like to eat besides fish?" He smirked, "I can go hunting in a bit when we're hungry after all and I don't want to get something Ashy hates."

Ashierra sighed in resignation. He insisted on calling her a flower, didn't he. That was almost as bad as Ashy. Her thoughts drifted though as he attempted to comfort her. She just could not understand this male sometimes, she thought to herself with a smirk.
"Well, cottontails are good. I bet the dry part of the mountains will have goats or sheep. Those are good. But if you mean before the mountains... Anything that runs a lot."

"Sounds good." Alek stepped over several loose tree limbs and smirked back at Ashierra. "Anything that runs a lot?" Amusement glittered in his eyes as he laughed. "That's a very unique way to describe your preferred choice of meal or prey."
"Seriously though, just let me know if you're hungry and we'll stop to eat." He commented jumping over a small patch of yellow flowers that had started to grow on the old path besides some weeds.

Ashierra smirked. "I like the meat best of a runner. Low in fat, high in taste." She chuckled, her tail twitching as her mood improved. "Right back at you. We can't have the gardener go hungry. He'd be no help to the flower then."

"A runner's meat, huh." Replied Alek with a lazy smirk before pouting at Ashierra, "The gardener would help the flower even if he was dying." He scooped down and plucked one orange flower that had somehow grown amongst the yellow and white. The flower was delicate and tiny, so he carefully handed it over to Ashierra. "We never want to see something beautiful die after all." He murmured before moving on ahead with a soft laugh.
