*listens and watches Julien with a quiet, fond smile, arm again finding its way around Isoke's back; he finds with each word of adoration and praise that he's standing a little straighter, feeling even prouder than he knew possible, next to his husband, in front of his children and his friends; the image of them drawing actually startles him into soft laughter, murmuring softly* I'm surprised I could color in the lines at all, blind as I was...
*the sentimental message has his smile warm but slightly trembling, deeply touched by the Hotot's fondness and friendship that had built over the year; he raises his glass and drinks to that - how could he possibly not? - before kissing Isoke on the cheek and excusing himself for a few minutes to find the rabbit, intending to give him a giant hug (and perhaps a second metric ton of apricots for old time's sake)*

*a gentle nudge follows Maxwell's raised hand, Amara lofting her brows* Shouldn't you save that for my brother's weddings? *grins at the jaguar before toasting to Julien's speech, drinking lightly* He's such a sweety, Julien. And I was very impressed with your speech, Maxwell. It was a bit more sentimental than I thought of you. *chuckles playfully*

[sitting with his head buried against Mena's side] I... I'm not a trout... [said uncertainly, Colton claps for Julien for Isoke and Gyasi's wonderfully endearing speech] I... I'm really glad that you didn't fall under Maxwell's evil spell, Mena. [hurriedly picks at his food before clinging to Mena again] I can't believe Maxwell brought up the shrimp thing. I was just a pup! How was I supposed to know that it was a stereo...

None of us knew what is was, not even Desi, and he would've been the one to know... *reassures Colton* And Mom, crazy as she might be, says I have an eye for things like 'evil spells', so...*pauses, adds ruefully* Though Shimy probably meant that literally. Ach. Anyway, it wasn't too bad, was it? And Julien's speech was so nice that it probably made everyone forget about Maxwell's~ ^___^ *squeezes Colton's hand*

Of course, Colt~ *grins and pulls him over to the area set aside for dancing. She's very familiar with the song of course, because Shimy is an ardent Decemberists listener and Mena could sing this song by heart. It's fairly energetic, so she sets the tone by attempting a sort of impromptu reel slash waltz thing, and once she's pretty sure she's got Colton knowing the general steps, lets him take the lead* [Yes this is an official request for We Both Go Down Together to play~]

Kamiko: *giggles softly as she watched the couple dance. She thought it was so like Spiderman and Mary Jane! She wears wearing a traditional kimono to the party, as per her japanese heritage. She even had a cherry blossom in her short hair*
