I follow Kosher pretty strictly, though I'm bad with the six hour rule.... redface I'll eat at non-kosher places outside my house, but no meat.... Just fish and veggies.
six hours is really really make it worse. only the really religion ppl wait six hours. im netional religion and i wait three hours.

Hahaha....

I'm a vegetarian, too. However, there's some food that you have to watch out for.

Skittles, which aren't meat, aren't Kosher. There is some debate as to whether Pepero is Kosher (Pepero is the cheaper, Korean alternative to Pocky.). I always check ingredient labels first. Some cheese isn't Kosher. Some cookies aren't Kosher. Most marshmallows aren't Kosher.

It's not that easy to keep strictly Kosher if you like junk food.
sweatdrop Like me. sweatdrop

I manage, though. I've memorized some foods, so it's a bit easier.

My family had the Skittles problem once... We forgot to check the label and all started eatting a package, then my dad noticed the gelatin in the ingredients list. I haven't eaten a Skittle since.
Oreos didn't have a hekshur for a long time either, that sucked. Now they do, so my mom buys us Oreos sometimes.
Right now is Kosher marshmallow season- they're easier to find around Pesach than any other time of year. Kosher marshmallow fluff is generally always available at your local kosher place.

There are kosher marshmellows, they're just harder to find. But if you're willing to use fluff, it's pretty available. Koshermart, baby!
Also- did you change your hair, or am I just nuts?

I know some Jews who are moving to Omaha next year! The dad's in the airforce and stuff. But yea... I don't know where you would find a kosher grocery store. We have a few near me, but you have to go up to Maryland. They're not in Northern VA.

The coolest thing ever was the kosher super market up near Albany. Yes. Super market whee I've never seen such a huge concentration of kosher goodies. And, of course, the deli was superb.
