He continues to work hard at the forge, pausing to pump the bellows for a bit before getting back to his melding and shaping of the demonic weapon. His hammer was no ordinary hammer, and the furnace no ordinary furnace. More than just those things would be needed to re-make a hell-forged weapon...

Finding what she was after was easier the second go-round, or so Liora discovered. The armory was arranged in a surprisingly methodical manner, and, once Liora had gotten the gist of it, she was able to finish arming herself with ease. She carefully arranged her new weaponry on herself, thinking logically and placing each item where it could be easily accessed. She replaced the hunting dagger she wore at her side with even more magazines containing both Silver Nitrate and Liquid Phosphor Ammo. She'd been concerned about handling the silver nitrate rounds initially until she discovered that their shelling was, in fact, not constructed of silver. It was the stuff inside that she should be concerned about; she could feel the hateful presence of the silver nitrate inside even through the shelling. The hunting dagger she moved to her right combat boot. She tightened her katana's sheath so that it firmly gripped her torso; the sheath's strap traced a path from her right shoulder across her chest to her left thigh, and Liora securely attached the flash bombs and assortment of grenades to this strap. She sported two of each of the assortments. She looped a belt of throwing daggers around her waist, and Liora managed to find a hunting knife similar to her own to attach to the boot opposite to her original knife. Though she wasn't sure if its metal was blessed like her dagger's, Liora certainly could testify that it was silver. Fortunately, she'd been cautious enough to avoid being burned.

Feeling prepared, Liora paused in front of the reflective glass on one of the weapons cabinets. She liked the clothing she had selected; though it was black and therefore a far-cry from the boldness of her crimson dress and normal hunting attire, it was form-fitting enough to allow her to move freely enough, and it accentuated her generous curves nicely. After running a visual scan of her weapons, she noticed that her golden cross pendant had managed to sneak outside of the collar of her leather vest. When she tried to conceal it once more, the darned thing fell right back out again. No matter, she decided, it was a weapon too, for its lower half pulled off to reveal a small bodice dagger. Liora only paused to remove the false engagement ring from its chain and stash it with her crimson dress. The ring was a lie, anyway. At last, she returned to Astande.

"There was an announcement of sorts on the loudspeaker." she spoke, resting a hand on her hip."They mentioned a lock-down and something about a 'defcon'. Whatever it was, it didn't sound good."

He turns, his project now completely different. It is a sheath of sorts, but forged with many runes and a weird sort of metal that gleams unearthly in the firelight. The sword is nowhere in sight...

"I heard...it means we're at a ceasefire...you see, some strange things have been happening around here lately...immortals dying unexplainable deaths, on all sides...we think the conspiracy is being directed at us, but we aren't sure...so i suppose he's ordered a lockdown until some things can be sorted out...
Don't worry about it...you'll grow to enjoy the rest...Things like this don't often happen...
You may not see me for a little while at a time...i'll probably get called out to help sort things out with the other elders...take the time to familiarize yourself with haven and it's inhabitants...We're all one big happy family i suppose...hehe."

He looks her over once again, an approving air in his stature. He nods, grunting his assent and hammering a few more times before placing the sheath in a strange substance, the hiss more pronounced than normal, almost tangible...

"Now...let me get a few things in order and we can head out of here..."

Liora nodded, remaining silent for a moment in order to absorb the information Astande was giving her. She noticed the difference in the item he had forged from earlier, but Liora forgoed questioning it. Liora would see its purpose soon enough, she supposed.

"The restless have an underdeveloped taste for cessation, I'm afraid, but I think you're right in saying I get familiar with the Haven in this time."

Liora tapped lightly at her lower-lip with her finger as she reviewed his words once more. She'd noted how Astande had mentioned a 'him' in his words; presumably, this was the leader of the Hunters- the 'Big Brother' figure, of sorts. Because of the ceasefire, they would be unable to track down the Oni for now; Big brother was watching, indeed.

The fact that it was the immortals being targeted also bore a significance in Liora's mind. Immortals, however broad the term may be, was also a term that included her without doubt. Until the true nature of this conspiracy was revealed either to her or the hunters, Liora would have to tread carefully in the city above when she was permitted to go out again. For once, it was appearing that something had occured at the right time in her life; if it weren't for the hunters, she would have been naive to this conspiracy, but she would have not been exempt from its influence.

The word 'family' was a good choice of diction on Astande's part. The concept appealed greatly to Liora, perhaps making the prospect of being locked-in at a premises she was only vaguely familiar with more delectable.

"Alright." she spoke. A thoughtful pause marked yet another thought process going through Liora's mind. "Also, please don't be afraid to ask for my help during this ceasefire. I know I'm a new recruit, but that doesn't mean I'm an infantile fledgling. I have my uses."

She knew that Astande would most likely refuse her, but there was always the chance that he would find something she could help in. When a chance existed, it was worth it to voice her ideas. Nodding in self-content to herself, Liora absentmindedly stroked the grip of her new 'eagles affectionately as she waited for Astande to finish up. Well, they were 'hers' unless someone claimed them from her; even if that weren't the case, they were 'hers' only in a borrowed sense.

((Would it be too much to ask for one or both of you to find Tokeru. I can't have him going insane without anyone around, now can i? Or maybe i will?))

Ixilin walked calmly into the massive armory. His brown trenchcoat trailing behind him, and his sidebag thumping softly against his leg in rhythm to his walking. It's precious cargo securely fastened shut. He pulled his two 9mm out of their holsters. One had been slightly scratched and the barrel a little damaged from the fall from his hands. He set that aside, leaving the live ammo in it. He proceeded down the individual aisles, browsing for a matching Glock. He found one and pulled it down off of the shelf. A slightly newer model, this one had a bright silver barrel. He figured it would be a perfect match with some silver nitrate bullets.

He holstered the weapon and walked back towards a section of weaponry containing multiple spellbooks. He glanced through these, finding none that matched the potency of his Nine Gates book. He tapped his fingers against the outside of the sidebag, his nails clicking off of the clasp.

((sorry, dad's had the compy with him at work the last 3 days. He just got back this morning. gonk ))
He moves off to a small room behind the furnaces, and hammering is heard. But the sound is different, it sounds almost as if a great city bell was being called out to the masses in a muffled sense, like an epic tolling at the hour of death. Tools of more than basic nature were being used back there. About an hour passes, many sounds and curious noises coming from the back room. Finally, he comes out, sweat streaming down his body, his face shadowed with strain. He says nothing at first, half-stumbling half-walking over to a wall of lockers. He reaches one, dialing in a small access code. He opens it, the fog of a cryo chamber billowing out. He reaches in, withdrawing a crimson blood package and biting into it, feeding patiently...When he finishes, it's as if his body has gone a complete transformation, the stress melting from his face, his body becoming flushed and full of even more vitality than previously seen. His smile is fresh and charming, his stride smooth and graceful, every movement calculated and executed perfectly. He beckons to her, motioning her to follow him to the back room....

"Come...it is finished..."

((OMFGGG!!! I just did this whole URL thing and it deleted my entire ******** post! #$%$%&%^*#$%@$!!!! scream ))
His face brightens as it beholds his creation, the Aura of the weapon so concentrated as to almost be squirming with life...it's Resilience matches it's Malice, creating a balance in the weapon that commands a force otherwise impossible to weild. It's power is deep and ancient in it's newfound creation, crossing millenia in but a few short minutes. He allows his hands to hover above it reverently, drawing in it's sheer magnitude...

"I shall call it...Molotoch, the Sword of Slayers..."

((Awww...sounds like you're having some difficulties. Don't worry about it; I understand. 4laugh ))

Liora's behavior changed from one of concern when she saw him to one of relief. When he'd seized the bag of blood from the cryo chamber, she was reminded of his race, and his previous haggard appearance made sense. She, too, would most likely take on a similar look prior to the full moon. Liora noted the renewed vigor in his being with a small smile. The smile blossomed into a warm grin, and she flashed this expression to him as she followed him into the back room. Her movements were marked by the subtle, barely audible jingle of the cross pendant bourne 'round her neck. Liora realized that Astande might be offended by such a thing and tried to conceal it once more to no avail prior to entering the back room. However, her current motivation was shortly forgotten as her eyes landed on the newly forged sword. It was a thing of great beauty, and its aura, indeed, gave the weapon a semblance of life.

"Magnificent." she spoke, a tone of awe prominent in her voice.

Apparently, Astande was not only a seasoned hunter but also a skilled weaponsmith. Liora made mental post-it note of this; such information might come in handy at a later date, or so she surmised. If her vague sense of his age was of any use, Astande certainly had ample time to become skilled at such a craft.

As she fell silent, her gaze slowly swept up and down the length of the blade. If this was the weapon which Astande would eventually wield against the oni, the oni didn't stand a chance. It would still be a harrowing fight, granted, but Liora was certain that victory would be theirs in the end.

He smiles at her praise, nodding in satisfaction at the fruit of his efforts. It was not easy to re-make a weapon forged in the furnaces of hell itself, but thanks to the epic mythical creations and advancements of haven, it was truly possible. He picks Molotoch up, the blade faintly humming with anticipation. He picks up the sheath, a black and silver-streaked shaft of metallic casing with runic symbols etched along it's length. It's aura seems strange, a feeling that something is there but you can't really quite seem to see nor sense it...it's use it quickly discovered as Molotoch is slid in, the brilliant Aura of the weapon dissapearing completely, muted by the effect of the strange sheath. Not even the hilt, laying dormant by his waist as it protrudes from the top of it's holding, gives off any sign of being more than it seems...
He moves over to a workbench, grabbing his fiber-mesh shirt and pulling it over his frame, the upper torso armor set soon following, being clipped and pulled and strapped into place in under a minute. He lets the neck guard down, a simple yet subtle sign that he is in a trusted place with trusted people. His cloak follows, being draped around his shoulders and falling to his feet. He turns to her, smiling and beckoning towards the entrance of the Armory

"Thank you for the compliment. Would you like to head out or do you have anything else to procure?"

His eyes widen for a split second, before he reaches down into a pocket and withdraws a paging device that seems to be buzzing. He hits a few buttons, concentrating intently. He then closes it with a snap and looks up, reaching into another pocket and handing her a peice of paper with an address on it.

"I've got to be going. This is where i'll be. If you need anything, use the network."
((Note net is what he's reffering to. I'll be checking up on the notes more frequently, so i'll catch anything you stick down there.))

Liora had just opened her mouth to reply to Astande's inquiry when the little device he had went off. Her eyebrows raised in response to such an unexpected sound, and she stilled her tongue in order to allow him to do whatever it was that he was doing. Before the ever-inquisitive Liora could speak again, she found a piece of paper being lofted into her hands. Okay, this was a situation that she could not possibly let slip by: the address was very familiar. In fact, Liora recognized it as being in the very complex that she'd been holing up in for the past several months. Judging by the room number scribbled on the paper, whatever room Astande was heading towards was only a floor above hers. Her eyes gleamed in amusement, and she shook her head at the irony of it all. It seemed that the very Hunters which she'd been seeking only days ago lived in the same building as she. Splendid.

Liora unconciously smoothed the fabric of her leather leggings- a habit which she had not shed with her crimson dress, apparently. Her gaze shifted into the distance for a moment as she contemplated what to do. The announcement over the PA had been clear enough; the Haven was about ready to go into lock-down mode. However, Liora also knew that she did not want to be locked in with many of her 'necessities' still present in her apartment. She didn't have many items to gather, for Liora was mainly interested in getting her laptop and her big s&w rifle. Those items she'd come to consider her ultimate security blanket; the laptop was her gateway to the world and the all-important moon report on the Weather Channel, and the s&w rifle was the most expensive gun she'd purchased and was almost like an old friend. Besides, she'd like to see what its firepower would look like coupled with the updated ammunition from this armory. If any of her previous rationalizations didn't sway her, the thought of her gun in action did. There was no harm in her going to the apartments, or so she reasoned. Astande was there; once she gathered her things from her room, she would pay him a visit.

Her decision made, Liora turned and left as well.

A frown was now prominent upon Liora's features. Upon entering, Liora had been faced with a reminder that even the best stashing places could be perturbed; her dress and, thus, the cellphone and guns she'd left with it were missing. She stood helplessly at the Armory's center, hands on her waist, and gazed around in contempt. Someone had filched her lovely crimson dress.

"Looking for something, senora?" a voice, vaguely accented, spoke to her.

Liora whirled around swiftly, fully prepared to apprehend the crook, but she practically came face to face with her gown. A man, presumably another hunter or perhaps an employee of this armory, was holding the gown and goods towards her.

"I figured this must be yours. I recognize the clothes you have on now; they came from here."spoke the man.

Recovering herself, Liora flashed a warm smile to the stranger. She accepted the dress, muttering an embarassed 'thank you' to the man. Liora only hoped that he hadn't seen the look of anger on his face; her previous behavior was not the proper treatment for a man who was simply looking after Liora's things for her. The man simply smiled at her before turning and walking away. Before he disappeared from sight, however, Liora called out to him as an idea struck her.

"Sir!" she called. The stranger turned to face her, a questioning look on his face. Liora smiled sweetly before continuing. "I'm somewhat a new recruit here, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to access the Hunter's net."

Lowering her free hand behind her back, Liora crossed her fingers. For all she knew, the stranger could think she was a spy and have her siezed. However, the man merely nodded to her before taking her cellphone gently from her hands. He programmed a number or something in it before returning it to her. A blank screen met her gaze; a cursor blinked repeatedly in anticipation.

"My name's Ricardo. If you need anything else, please let me know." he spoke.

"My name's Liora Thorne. And thank you, sir." Ricardo nodded and turned to walk away, leaving Liora and her cellphone alone. The luminescence of the screen splashed across her face as Liora punched in the first letters.

"To: All. From: Liora Thorne..."

Content with her message to the Hunters, Liora folded the screen of her cellphone shut and pocketed it. She wouldn't be leaving it or her other belongings behind again. Removing her former revolvers from the case Ricardo had returned to her, she shoved both the weapons and her ruby-hued raiment into the case alongside her laptop. The carrying case was getting fatter by the minute, but she couldn't afford to put it on a 'diet' now. Every item within it was of value to her.

Turning to the racks of weaponry, Liora went about completing the second of two tasks she'd come to the armory to complete. Her M&P15A rifle needed an upgrade in ammunition to match the rest of her weaponry. Accordingly, Liora selected and filled magazines for it with silver nitrate, liquid phosphor, and Mary's Blessing ammunition. She sat on the ground momentarily to load a magazine of Mary's Blessing into her trusty rifle and ensure that its scope was properly attatched. The M&P15A's scope was not a normal addition to the rifle, but Liora had ensured that hers was customarily attached. It's lock-and-slide format allowed the scope to be removed and replaced with a single hand, and its scope was powerful enough for her to play the 'sniper' role if need be. Furthermore, she was a good enough shot to pull off such a thing.

Content with her rifle's current condition, Liora headed back towards Hunter's bar and nightclub. She figured it was time that she meet some of the other hunters.
