Veil was captured by Daniel’s intellect for his age, and her eyes flickered in wonder at this. In a compassionate moment of hers she reached out a hand and brushed her fingertips along the side of his cheek, almost as if she was testing if he was real. A piece of his dark hair was a strong contrast to her pale skin, and he pushed it away before drawing her hand back. It still was stone cold compared to his flesh.

“You have such insight for someone so young.” She smiled at him with a genuine sweetness, but somewhere underneath it seemed to be laced with sadness. “Keep that vibrancy.” Looking to her tea, it was trying to warm her hands but was failing at it’s set task. “Perhaps I could look at your photos…if you wish to share. I am sure they hold great beauty, seeing as yourself knows what true beauty is.”

Veil’s breathing was a bit more labored than before, and knowing this she tried to hide it. Being alone was something she was used to, but not something she preferred. Dolls were neglected after a while, and although she looked like one, that’s not what she wanted to be.

The boy tilted his head and chuckled softly. "Sure, whenever you like, Veil."

The silence was interrupted by a light knocking from the door. Daniel seemed slightly startle and looked at the door with a raised eyebrow before he rose to his feet and walk over, opening it. "Adriel?!"

The tall man grinned down at him, entering the room. "Can't keep me tie down."

"But Faraon..."

"Can be bribe." The healer smiled and the photographer sighed, shaking his head. "Veil,I hope you are doing better?" Adriel smiled gently, ignoring the nudging against his leg from the large persian entering the room.

Veil jumped at the sound of Dr. Hart entering the room, another loose cough escaping her lips, forced out a bit by the surprise. Hand slipping from the corner of her mouth, she ran her fingers through her hair before she slipped her hand hurriedly to her cup of tea on her lap. Lacing her other fingers over her hand to hide the smear of blood there, she smiled lightly at him stifling another cough that was bubbling in her throat. Literally. She could taste the blood.

“B-better than before.” She managed, and if Veil had been able to look down from his eyes at this lie…she much would have preferred that. However she was scanning him for any faults or problems that she might have caused, compelled to do so by what she owed him. Outside of an IV pinprick and the obvious damage she’d done…there was none. Sighing carefully, she nodded. “Thank you.”

“Daniel was just keeping me company.” She quickly informed him, now eyeing the large cat with wonder.

Adriel chuckled softly as he came up to the bed, his eyes following the movement in her hands with great care as he sat down on the bed and wrapped his hands around her hands. "Indeed, Daniel can be a good companion, but I believe you should had been resting rather then being entertain." His eyes meaningfully looked down to her hands. "...Veil...I raised Daniel since he was five years old...I know all the tell tales signs of lying. I do not appreciate it."

Faraon crooked his head slightly as he rested his head on the edge of the mattress, letting out soft huffs through his nose. He thought Adriel should follow his own damn advise and go back to his bed.

Veil’s eyes flickered with emotion, knowing her little lie had been found out. Immediately regret filled her heart and she looked away from his ever-changing eyes. “I’m sorry.” She uttered clearly staring at the Persian sitting at the edge of the bed, and she knew it couldn’t see her. What a cruel thing to find comfort in’, she thought. Hoping that it counted as a sincere apology, at least for now for she was still unable to look at his face. Another apology would be in order later, but for the moment she was not going to speak of the real reason why.

Audibly she sighed as if letting go of some huge burden, a stream of the blood slipping out through her lips and down her neck. It was now that she truly tasted the power that had been contained within his blood. It was something foreign that seemed to boost her healing abilities, but took a toll in the end. It seemed to be something that he himself was not aware of, so it was a matter that would not be mention from her mouth… for fear of messing up further.

“It’s nothing. Soon enough it’ll go away.” She could face him now, after taking in a bubbling breath. Veil chose her words carefully, and kept from further fault falling upon her shoulders. This lot was too kind to deserve something like that.

Adriel nodded his head slowly as his eyes searched her face for a moment before he turned away, rising from the bed. "Be it as it may, I wish you to rest until dinner. I know that being in bed might be boring, but it will do you no good to exert yourself, you will only do more damage that way and elongate the need for you to stay in bed."

Daniel, who was staying by the door, huffed at the same time a certain persian. "Shouldn't you be following your own advise on that one? You are not superman, dear brother."

"No, I will never be such thing...but I do recall a certain child who thought I was a guardian angel his parents sent from heaven to look after him..." The healer smile towards the teenager, who gave an empty glare back.

"You are pale as hell and have white hair, what was I suppose to think? I was just five!" He huffed before chuckling.

Adriel chuckle and shook his head once again before turning to Veil. "Finish your food and rest, I'll come check on you in a while...or I'll send Daniel if Faraon happens to pin me to a piece of furniture again..."

Veil giggled a bit at this interaction, before quickly retreating under the fluffy sheets. Slipping the covers over her shoulder, they fell around her neck, and the blood that had already dried there. Slipping her eyes shut, she listened as the males stirred before vacating her room. Opening them, she glanced around, and smiled happily to herself, snuggling deeper into the warm sheets.

There had to be some way to pay them back, she thought intently, eyes burning with a fire of determination. “How?” She whispered to nobody, her words dulled by the fluff all around her. Thought fleeting from her mind, she faded into the blackness that tugged at her. Chest rising slowing, her body in a completely peaceful state, Veil was finally able to rest for the first time in a long time.

Hours later, she still had a little smile on her face. The corners of her fangs showing ever so slightly, as she inhaled and exhaled with ease, completely lost in the land of dreams.

Adriel silently called his persian with a light brush of his fingers against the feline's cheek, they walk out of the room swiftly and quietly. Closing the door behind all three of them.

While the taller man had no intention to be put back in bed, he was somehow tricked to so by his little brother and his pokemon. Confuse on how he got tricked so easily, he lay in bed with a book, muttering about betrayal and mutiny.
While he manage to convince Faraon to let him up every few hours to check on Veil, he wasn't really allowed to do much, so he content himself with finishing up his sketches or his notes from his travels until dinner.

After a few hours, tho, Adriel was let to make dinner while Faraon and Songwriter 'discussed' who was getting on the couch after dinner and who was getting the floor. Around the time that dinner was almost ready, Daniel went to go wake Veil up, he knocked first and waited for answer.

“Come in.” Came a clear voice from behind the door. It was backed with strength renewed through her peaceful slumber. Daniel slipped the door open, and spotted Veil kneeling on the floor beside the bed. Several things in her appearance had changed, long crimson rivulets of hair were now pulled back into a tight braid on the back of her neck, and her attire was different. The long sweater with the rolled cuffs was now folded and sitting on the bed, revealing an undershirt tank top the girl had previously donned.

“Sorry. Hang on a moment.” Veil turned away from him, as she shoved her rolled up socks under the bed before she leaned back. Scrawled across her shoulder blades were two purple tattoos of bat wings, extending to either side of her back. Obviously significant to the girl with a doll face, it was always and unexpected feature to new acquaintances. Standing up she turned to face Daniel, looking even smaller than before when they had first met. The ribbon circling around the pants loops as a belt didn’t help either, making it seem like she was swimming in the clothing.

“Uhm, I hope it’s not a problem,” She glanced down at her black fitted tank top. “But all I had left was my petticoat and that’s hardly adequate…so I’ll have to hang on to these for a bit longer.” The dried blood from the corner of her mouth had also been wiped away, making the girl look bright and all cleaned up. “Okay?”

Daniel smiled at her and chuckled. "Is quiet alright. I just wish we had more suitable clothing for you....then again, if we did...that would be kind of creepy." He looked out towards the hall. "Since the only other female here is my rampardos."

The teenager just chuckled again and smiled in her direction. "Anyways, I came to tell you dinner is about to be ready and to take you to the dinneroom."

"Ah!" Veil nodded with a polite smile, raising her hand to her chin. "Okay then, shall we go?" Dan was really an interesting character, such a young man but well behaved. Dr. Hart had raised him well in this respect, but there was so much that he had taught himself, she could tell. His individuality bled through everywhere.

Shifting a bit, she wished her appearance was more presentable in the long run...but it couldn't be helped she knew. Layers of clothing was her way, so she felt a little naked in just a modest tanktop alone.

"That rampardos...and I saw a persian earlier...you are a pair of trainer?"

She was unable to wait and started the dinner talk early, but there was so much to ask. A little worry built up in her stomach, knowing that they pair had yet to ask her anything in depth. So trusting they were. Hopefully that wouldn't be their downfall in the end...

Daniel smiled and nodded, opening the door for her. He raised an eyebrow slightly at her question as they went out into the hall. "No...not exactly. I am a photographer and a coordinator. Addy was given to me by Adele, since he just doesn't have a head to take care of pokemon beyond his arcanine."

"Adriel is a healer, Faraon, the persian, was his first pokemon and he is train to do some jobs that help with Adriel's job. Songwriter is a pokemon he picked up in his travels through this land. I think so far he has been train to keep an eye on Faraon, cause he gets in trouble alot when he gets bored." Daniel chuckled. "What about you? No pokemons?"

Veil looked up at him suddenly as if flustered out of her personal thoughts. “Me? Oh…no…I don’t own any Pokemon…..not really…” Her eyes flickered knowing that she wasn’t lying, but was it really the truth? Even she didn’t know.

Reaching the end of the hall, Veil extended a hand to touch the cold glass there, snow still falling silently outside. Deadening everything in its wake. Cold and silent but powerful in it’s own right. He would be out there even now she knew. Hunting her.

Realizing that she’d zoned out, and Daniel was just staring at her, her heart jumped a beat. “I’m sorry. I was just thinking of someone that I knew…he fairs bad in cold weather…” Then blinking her crystal eyes she let a little laugh escape, one laced with carefree sounds. “I’m sorry, I’m keeping you from the meal. This way….yes?”

Taking a few steps before him, she passed the young man and entered into the dining area of the home. Waiting on the young man now to direct her, in the back of her mind Veil wanted to go and look out the window once more. If not to just observe the season of winter.

The teenager gave him a worry look for a moment before nodding as he stepped after her. "Yeah..." He guide her down the stairs to the dinning room where a long table that could had sat twenty was sitting. Of course, only one end of said table was set up for dinner with plates for them. Near that table there was a second but it was much, much lower to the ground, standing barely two inches off it. This one was set up for the pokemon, minus the rampardos Daniel had mention. Since she was too large, she was normally kept in a barn outside that was shield from the elements of nature.

Daniel took her to her seat, pulling out her chair for her. "I'll go get Faraon and Writer, Adriel should be bring the food in a second tho." He smiled and stepped out of the room.

After a few moments, Daniel come back, holding the door open for the large persian, who was follow by a hopping pidgeot. He arched an eyebrow in amusement as the pidgeot just hopped his way to the low table and sat on one of the cushions opposite from the feline's.

Adriel came in minutes later with a small cart, holding a couple of different pots, he set them up on the table, before turning to the pokemon one and setting down the plates of pokemon food infront of each pokemon. Both Writer and Faraon sniffed their food, then traded when they realize they had each other's.

Not knowing where to sit, Veil grabbed the nearest chair to the others seats and slipped into it. As Dr. Hart brought out all the food, she found herself entranced as the Pokemon here served. Such well mannered and behaving creatures! Smiling with her eyes even as she watched them with an internal content, the Pokemon seemed to keep at their meal despite the newcomer to the dinner tonight.

“Hehe…” She giggled, covering her lips with her hand in a modest manner. It was dinnertime after all. As the only lady there (that she knew of) it seemed to not even bother the all male cast in the household. Going about the same things as always…was this really everyday for them? The table was grand and ornate, almost a room that warranted a party of some regal sorts.

“I know that my arrival was most expected…so….uhm…” Veil began, but then her face paled. They were such kind people, and it would be rude of her to expect anything from them….but the fact alone that she was invited to dinner already told her what she was about to state wasn’t necessary. Well, at least should could partake of another culinary skills.
