*Sitting in his chair, he turns and stares into the endless void of aqua green seawater that rushed by as the ship glided along on a steady course.*

Rushing to change before dinner she didn't think to knock on the hard wooden door. Banging through she spotted her trunk and out of the corner of her eye she saw something move. Holding her shirt where a button had ripped from the saftey rope, she turned quickly in suprise. A small lock of hair curled around her nose as a slight flush crept into her cheeks as she realize it was the captain, in his own quarters, that she had barged into.

*Awoken from thought by the loud intrusion at the door, he turned and peered from behind the chair. There was Midnight, her face flushed with what seemed like embarassment: her shirt hanging open at the chest. Standing, he slowly walked around the desk, his hand running down the lines of the countertop. Stopping at the front of the chartdesk, he stops and mockingly puts his hand afront of his eyes.*
"I've seen nothing, my dear... nothing at all."
*Chuckling, he kneels and takes a large yellow signal flag up in his hands. Unveiling his eyes, he walks up to and behind Midnight, drapping the heavy cotton material about her like a blanket. He slides from behind and stands before her, so close he could feel her breath. Raising a hand to eye-level, he gentley took the whisp of hair and ran it behind her ear. Running his hand down her cheek, he smiled at her.*
"Wouldn't want you to catch cold..."

*Knocking on the frame of the captains door, he barges in and bows slightly* "I'm quite sorry I haven't been the best of first mates as of late sir! Is there anything I can do to make up for my lack of work?"

The captain had been so close her breathing had stopped. With the knock on the doorframe she jumped and quickly scooted away, trying not to look guilty. Remembering to breath she took in long, slow breaths to calm her nerves and her heart.

*Shielding Miss Melaria from view, so as to protect her virtue, Jack stepped over to address Mr. Ilor. He looked anxious, and somewhat worried, as if he were to be flogged.*
"Well... it is true, Mr. Ilor that you have not been the most reliable as of late, but due to your own personal agenda, I could hardly blame you. Not to mention, how can I cage you aboard this little floating wooden world when you have that damned teleportation working for you?
From here on out, I shall allow you to come and go from the ship at your own liberty. Yet, there shall be restrictions of course, your being who and what you are of course. I want recorded arrival/departure times left on my desk everytime you decide to vanish frm sight. Not to mention, I'd appreciate it if you'd inform me in advance, for then I shall place another officer into the temporary position of Acting Lieutenant while you are away.
As for what I'd like you to do until your next leave of absence, Mr. Ilor... I should like it of all things, if you were to see the ship into the Straits of Gibraltor. With the Helmsman, Mr Vanstring to aid you, I'd like you to take us past the Rock of Gibraltor, through the straits and into the Antlantic. Wear Nor'NorthWest along the coastline for two hours until we raise Cape St. Vincent. Once there, we are to heave to, put her into stays and clear for action, Mr. Ilor. Please notify me once we've reeached our desitnation.
During our gun drill, I should like you to aid me in overseeing operations. I'd like an officer to every 5 guns. All hands are to help fight the guns. The Doctor shall be stationed on the quarterdeck with a spyglass. He shall be our lookout, for we are to launch a few empty casks with flag markers: These shall be our enemeys.
Now, with that having been said, do you have any questions, Mr. Ilor?"
*As he stood there awaiting a response, he tried to lessen his pulse. Midnight was attempting to change into another outfit, but Mr. Ilor was somewhat preventing her from doing so. Hopefully, he would take notice and question the Captain at a later time of any thoughts.
He was very glad to see that Mr. Ilor was attempting to better himself. Making Ilor the Acting Lieutenant had definitley been the right decision.*

*Taking notice to his surroundings he quickly gives his answer* "Aye sir I notify you when I am leaving and return. I'll do my best not to leave as much. I shall go find Mr Vanstring. Sorry for the intrusion sir." *With that he bows and leaves shutting the door behind him.*

Destiny had prepared a nice tray, on to which she placed a fine china plate, a crystal goblet, real silverware, and a steel dome over the food to make sure it stayed hot. Into her satchel she placed two bottles of wine, a small measure of rum, half a loaf of french bread, and the dessert.
She knocked on the door, seeing how it was shut, and you don't just go barging into the Captain's quarters. " Captain Kuristofa, I have your dinner sir, as you requested. I tried to make it just like you wanted."
She waited for a bit until he opened the cabin door. She held out the tray and the satchel. Noting that there were other people in the cabin, she inquired" Captain, do you want me to bring more food for the people here? It would only take a few minutes for me to run down to the galley and fetch more."
She tilted her head to the side as she waited for his reply.

*His eyes (and stomach) lighting up at the sight of the heap of tastey goodies laid that had been out upon the tray, he laughed out loud at Destiny's comment.*
"Why, Miss Destiny... you could feed the British Fleet with what all is on that delightfully full silver platter. I'm quite sur ethat no mater how much I were to eat, there shall be plenty more for anyone else who should like some."
*With a smile, he pats her on the head nad carefully takes teh tray into his own hands. Laying it upon the chart table that sat in the mddle of the great cabin, he looked to Midnight*
"Midn... Miss Melaria, should you care to sup? Coffee or Cocoa, if nothing else?"
*Looking back to Destiny who stood in the doorway*
"Once the crew has been given their meals, I'd like you to take a load off. Relax a bit and feed yourself for once. Your a half starved little scarecrow, to be sure. You do so much aboard this ship, and I'd be a dreadful man if I overworked you. Therefore, I'm allowing you liberty between meals, is that understood?"

Destiny blushed when the Captain patted her head. It made her feel quite less than her 200 years.
Aye Captain. I'll try to remember to do that. But honesty, I enjoy cooking for a shipfull of people. I might try to do some drawing. I have some art supplies down in my bunk. ." she mused .
An idea hit her.. maybe the Captain would like some art to decorate his cabin with. " Captain, is there anything I can draw for you?"

"Well, I should like a right well portrait of the ship's officers and a few crewmen standing infront of the ship's bow, but that should be left for a long empty day... for now, I should like to see you hone those skills by means of drawing what you see on deck. Anytime you get a chance, draw what you see around you while aboard: The Galley, the Gun Deck, the Doctors Medical Deck, The Main Deck, The Quarterdeck... this very room.
Keep a journal of whatever is around you - Observation. Let me see it at the end of the month. Captains Orders, aye?!
*Winking at the young woman, he smiled at her whilst leaning back against his desk.*

Pulling the flag tight around her shoulders she tried to dissapear into the backgroud after nodding to the Captain that she was hungry. She had no idea just how hungry she was, but now that food entered the room her stomache was turning and growling with hunger. Searching through her trunk for something not needing mending or dirty she pulled out an old dress. Holding it up to her body she could see it had a shredded skirt and the top was fraying, but it might fit. Looking around for a shade to change behind she realized the Captain was leaning against his desk and the small girl was looking at him eagerly. Feeling like she had missed something she turned her attention to the two.
