As her eyes drifted to his, he didn't quite give the reaction that one would expect of a hormonal egomaniac....which was favorable if only because it meant that his attempts to sound like a typical lech his age were entirely talk. .....well, favorable or pathetic. It was hard to tell.
Red-and-gold eyes darted first in one direction, then the other, as if scanning the room for any other imaginary people she could possibly be addressing other than him. Finding no one, his gaze returned to hers.
"Tha--" he began, his voice coming out in a squeak which he impatiently tried to cough away. "That's...uh...that's great.' he said, going from zero to a pile of pure concentrated awkward in seemingly no time flat.
Between this and holing himself up in his room all day, it really was no mystery why he remained single.

It took all her self control not to bust out laughing at him at his reaction, and even more to make herself appear hurt by his unsupportive squeaking. "I don't understand... Do you not think I'm attractive?" Her brows drew together in a contrived expression of sadness.
Looking away once more, she dropped her eyes and frowned. "I'm so embarassed..." The teen whispered.

He may have been oblivious, but growing up in a houseful of women had, if nothing else, at least granted him the ability to tell when he was being screwed with. Kendall arched a brow, his tail giving an irate flick and thumping against the leg of his chair.
"Oh, COME on...." he grumbled.

Finally. A wide, cheeky grin covered her face and she found herself bent over in laughter before long. Her own tail swished jovially behind her as she clutched her stomach.
"Oh man... That Deer in the Headlights look is super sexy there Ken... Maybe you should try it to get those ladies." Tourma finally managed to gasp out as her giggling finally began to calm itself.

He wanted to disappear into the floor. Or maybe a lightning bolt to crash through the ceiling and strike him dead on the spot. Or maybe both.
"Yeah, yeah, you're hilarious...." he muttered, even as his pocket blared the first few bars of the Power Rangers theme. He was on it immediately, whisking his cel from his pocket like Zordon himself was calling to enlist Ken's aid in defending the world from flimsy foam rubber monsters.
However, it was not Zordon on the other end. "H'lo?" he asked. "Yeah, Wolf, I'm kinda in the middle of dinner here, so..." One ear cocked quizzically, making him look a bit like a perplexed puppy. "So ask Stunna to do it. Yeah--no...no he's not, he's probably on his alt. Dude, yes he DOES, its a shaman."
He gave an exasperated sigh as he leaned back in his chair, listening to whatever it was "Wolf" was going on about. "I don't remember, I think its an L-name. Lara? ....no, Laur, that's it. Right. Tell him to get on his alchemist because I'm---oh for ******** SAKE." he huffed. "Why am I the only one in the guild still who knows how to make that?
Another pause. "All right, I'll be there in a minute. Yeah. Okay." And with that he hung up, pushing back from the table with annoyance.
"I'll be back in a bit." he informed Tourma, shoving his cel back into his pocket as he turned to head back to the stairs. "Apparently I'm the only one in the WORLD who knows how to make a Frost Wyrm flask."

The timely phone call had the effect of shushing the Skullmonkey, who had always enjoyed eavesdropping on other people's conversations, which she blatantly did. At his ear movement, Tourma couldn't help but smile. Of course, she hid it as a yawn behind her hand.
Before she knew what was happening, Ken had disappeared up the stairs and left the teen confused, slightly offended, and with all of the dishes to do. She made a mental note before she began the work of boxing up the leftovers and cleaning up the kitchen.
