((To clarify completely the effects of Rush's unique and relatively decent jutsu, it turns the earth to candy in a little circle/oval shape with rouphly a 1 foot radius, but can only grab one person and once it does, the radius shortens and just grabs the ankles/feet of the captive, and turns back to whatever it was once broken or relinquished by Rush))

Hikaru nodded at what Rush had to say and as he saw Mika start the head over to the bell Hikaru made a few hand seals and disappeared as he said, "Well I guess that's my cue." Hikaru Was now up in the trees and watching over Mika like a hawk making sure she did not get hurt. Hikaru was many things and one of these things was chivalrous. He had a strong nagging feeling in his gut that told him to protect Mika and regardless of what he thought it was usually in Hikaru's best interest to listen to his gut.

Lokail didn't move from his spot on the grass to stop Mika or get involved in anyone's decisions. He smirked at how they seemed to have a group hatred towards Leon, he didn't mind the boy, still there were only certain times when you could indulge your psychopathic tendencies. Lokail wasn't sure how much he enjoyed the special treatment Mika was getting, he did realize that she was the youngest, alas this was no way to make her strong. He'd have to fix that later.
((Short post i know, but yeah Lok isn't gonna stop you from grabbing the bells, my real post will come afterwords))

Rush watched Hikaru resume post in the tree, and knew that Mika was being watched, which allowed him to turn to Leon and speak, still with a subtle grin,
"Well, unless you have somewhere to go, and you don't, I'm sure I have you for a bit, so stay still and I'll learn you one. This 'one truth' that every leader must know, the mission comes first stuff, I'll concur. It comes first, which is why I'm curious about something . . . Did lokail take you briefly to describe a different task while the rest of us weren't watching, because from what he told us the mission was to get the bell in a team exersize. Stop me if I'm wrong, and so given Lokail's nature, one that borders if not completely penetrates sadistic, I assumed, hmm punishment might kill a valuble teammate, better give the victory to the one who has the lowest survival chance. Please describe to me the case where I betrayed the mission due to being blind. As far as I can tell, I made a judgement call despite a rather selfish approach graced by you. So pleace learn me one. How is letting her go instead of you betraying the mission?
Rush actually had no intention of letting him speak, the kid had a slipperier tounge than most, but again he spoke in half truths that seemed graver just to sting Rush's obviously unsure mind. Rush sat on the grass next to the sweet patch and looked to the clouds, feeling the warm rays shine sweetly on the land.
"I laughed the first time my father spoke of a bloodline that materialized sugar. And I was a happy-go-lucky child at the time. Maybe I still am. Reguardless, it was part of me and soon, I embraced it. Not because this particular jutsu can hold even jounin, but because it had already embraced me. In the fututre, others had seen the humor in what I also had originally and taunted the idea, but abrubtly found themselves encased in my delictable trap, no longer finding their own abilities so superior to my own. What I'm getting at with my sugar coated analogy, no pun intended, is that don't claim something of someone else, in this case being naive, without viewing yourself and knowing you aren't what you claim others to be, or else you're nothing but a hypocrite. So while I'm entirely open to the fact that yes, a 15 year old is a little naive . . . But also consider the idea, the simple theory, that you, a child of an even younger age, is just as naive? Think about it."
With that final line, Rush turned to face Leon, his smile more sincere. Evidently, speaking his mind allowed him to go back to his standard calm nature. Rush lifted a hand and tensed it, briefly. The now practicaly crystalized caramel instantly retracted into the ground, and the grass reverted to its prior lush. Rush laughed and faced the clouds again,
"I'll tell ya, the sun was never this warm in Ame."

Leon watched the female go unopposed as she waltz towards the bell with untold anguish, it was clear it was unfavorable to show his true nature so soon. It was a learning experience. "Perhaps your correct." He acknowledged Rush's words as truth, at least as far as a psychopath can acknowledge truth. "I only question your method of validity comrade. You yourself stated that the victory was best left to one of the weaker genin, being myself and the female you now let freely walk towards the goal. Yet you, a self made moderator, interfere when I was so close to the goal myself." He gave an exaggerated sigh, befitting of a fox pointing out his abundance of food to invite rabbits over for tea. "You speak of hypocrisy, yet I see it in your actions as well comrade. Would the punishment for failure best be left to the one who would have fail if left uninterrupted? So I'm a sadist, our teacher threw his student out a three story building. And even then she was saved, if I am not mistaken." He made eye contact with Rush. His sinister grin smearing across his face. Clearly he was barking up the wrong tree, or even the wrong team. A conclusion that he drew from this, was that whether or not he believed in the concept of teamwork, if he continued to act... well the way he would act, he would most likely be lynched by nightfall. A shiver ran down his spine, day one of being trained by that man, and he felt weaker. "But alas," He said, giving into the burden of futility, "Today is not my day. Cheers comrade. Let's hope that the death we warrant from failure is swift." His cruel smile turned a surprising warmth. The thought of death was pleasant.
((Here we go. Adaptable psychopath. Well... as adaptable as he can be.))

Now running, Mika repeatedly looked behing herself. She would not be attacked behind her back. The bell was getting closer and cloesr with every passing step. Mika looked over her shoulder and saw Leon and Rush speaking more hospitably than she had predicted. There was no hacking or slashing she could see. Mike then turned her head back forward to the bell. She was still nearing it at a steady pace. She saw no apparent danger ahead, the lush greens where still under her feet. Mika heard the swishing of foliage (sp) over her other shoulder. It must of been Hikaru following. Nothing else would make that loud 'a sound. The greens on the ground where shortening as Mika approached the rocks on her chase for the bell.

Rush got up and began to walk over to Hikaru, paying little attention to Leon, his sinister grin being that which makes look as Satan, offering a deal with 'no catch' which was especially entertaining from a thirteen year old. Over his shoulder he spoke,
"The victory should go to the weaker one, and while I never specified weaker in what sense, you still have a way about your words that claim superiority, so convince yourself you don't think you're better than her, than maybe I'll accept hypocracy, until then, your just a kid whose feet smell like candy. . ."
Rush hesitated, although he had not fallen for the silver tounge of Leon to the sense he no longer doubted himself or thought he failed tremendously, but Leon had gotten Rush to be a bit of an a*****e, and maybe that was some other strategy of quick wit, to corrupt, to an extent at least.
"It's alright though, I usually smell like candy. Come on this test is pretty much over . . . I think. . . . And I'd rather a failure caused death to be glorious and honorable, as much as that contradicts with failure. Hehe, although I've wanted to punch you at times, no easy task to get me to do assured, you bring a flavor that is refreshing, and I don't think I'd like this team as much without you."
Rush patted Leon on the back warmly and proceeded the walk to Hikaru's position.

((Haha you crazy youngsters!))
Lokail was growing impatient, the point of this challenge had been executed, now it was just a matter of continuing. However he vowed not to interfere until the challenge was completed. Biting his lip he started thinking about the excitement of the next challenge, oh yes, there would be blood. He grinned as he thought of it, looking at how close she was to the bell was making him sweat. He slowly started muttering to himself
Just a little bit closer.... Closer.... Ah, screw it! He lifted up one metal finger, causing the sand around the bell to move, and carry it right next to Mika so all she would have to do is grab it... Then they could continue with the other exciting games he had planned. Showing mock excitement he said. Whoo, you got the bell! That means you win! Now everyone, report in front of me, Rush release Leon. I want you all to line up and tell me what you think the point of this challenge was before we continue onto part two of this little training exercise!

((Hey, I said I released Leon awhile ago, I'm not a big enough douche to say sentimentaly "come one, lets go be buds. Oh wait, you're still stuck, har har har. . Rush lifted a hand and tensed it, briefly. The now practicaly crystalized caramel instantly retracted into the ground, and the grass reverted to its prior lush. Rush laughed and faced the clouds again should be the gist of "the candy is gone!"))

Rush Thorres ((Hey, I said I released Leon awhile ago, I'm not a big enough douche to say sentimentaly "come one, lets go be buds. Oh wait, you're still stuck, har har har. . It gets Leon to learn that he can't go screwing people over at every turn... Just at like, every other turn... Maybe every block... But yeah. Just say you release him after the exercise is over.))

((I dunno, candy is many things, but 'prior lush' isn't one of them . . .Or is it . . . FIne fine, you may still be 15% candy))
Rush tensed his hand for real this time, reverting the practically crystalized caramel to its prior lush, leaving no candy left. none. Leon was free and able to move again, and Rush looked up at Lokail, and even though he was the oldest of the four, he was still a little boy when Lokail shadowed over them all. Rush had boldly assumed what this test might have been about, but unconfident as he was, Rush pretty much assumed he was wrong. As he contemplated wether he was wrong or if he was just hard on himself, he had issue conjuring up words to the imposing presence of Lokail, who never really left.
"Um, is it to prove that, er . . . the difficulty of comming together as a team, or something of that nature . . . Maybe, lokail?"
Rush used to stutter when he was a kid, and while he wasn't that bad anymore, his inept shyness had him hesitating frequently, which was almost as bad.

The bell, which had been just a few meters away, started to wiggle on the sand underneath it. Mika stopped as through Lokails infulince, the bell floated across the greens on the floor right in front of her. Mika looked at it cautiosly before bending down to pick it up. The small golden bell wrang as she lifted it from the ground. Not even second guessing, Mika ran as quickly as she could back to Lokail sensei and the others.
As she arrived at Rush's left side as he finished speaking. Leon would be coming, hopefully on the other side. Mika noticed slight pauses in Rush's speaking. She thought it best to act as if it never happened.
"To think of the most effective and hazard free way to complete a potentially dangerous mission?", Mika asked with a clearly confussed expression of her face.

Leon almost laughed at Lokail's interference, it was hilarious in it's own way but he tried not to seeing as how he was still on thin ice towards the 'let's lynch the sadist' initiative. The carmel released his feet and he gave each foot a few good shakes, although they still smelled like candy but he had smelled of worse in his time. In a flash he obeyed the man's request, and reported to his side as swiftly as he could. "To be willing to sacrifice either yourself or your teammates for the sake of the mission. To strive for the greater good. Death is inevitable. And all that good stuff..." The last part Leon more or less murmured, remembering who he was surrounded by. "Hell, maybe just to prove that even a killer needs to have some direction."
