Luke's heart beat faster. It looked like Jaione was starting to smile. He nearly yelped when she accepted, a loud and rumbling purr running from his chest. He thought the small house would fall over from the vibrations. "No. You're not dreaming. And neither am I." He chuckled, kissing her hair. Having Jaione in his arms... It was all so sudden, but it was right. He knew it was right.
Vesna had tried to not listen, but the inner walls were thin in the rambly house. She froze, hand in the air holding a bowl she had cleaned and was putting away, eyes wide. So... Her teenage fear had come true... Jaione was her mom now... Well, at least they'd be happy together. Mistaya was never wrong about others feelings. She sighed and put the bowl away. Talk about something to get used to... She wasn't going to start calling Jai "mom" though. She started laughing to herself at the situation at hand.

Jaione giggled childishly and snuggled close to Luke, purring softly as her tail continued to flick back and forth happily, soft sparks of electricity traveling across the darker furs. She sniffed a bit, lifting her head from Luke's shoulder and rubbing her eyes a bit, smiling up at the older cattaur happily before she glanced over to the kitchen and couldn't help but giggle a bit more, hearing a bit of the laughter from her friend. This was a strange situation even to her, but it was probably even moreso to her friend. She smiled up at Luke a bit, chuckling softly.
"This is probably going to be a little odd for Vesna to get used to, huh?" she joked a bit, though she was rather serious about the fact that it wouldn't be the easiest thing for her friend to be accustomed to. After all, it was like she was becoming Vesna's mom, wasn't it? It'd be like Vesna being with Syem, just less... cross-species. She blinked a few times at that thought before sticking her tongue out and shaking her head. That wasn't really the sort of thing that she wanted to think about.

Luke held Jaione tightly, taking in her touch and scent. He relaxed his hold as she pulled back, looking down at her glowing face. He saw sparks of electricity around her and smiled. He could tell she was happy. His smile drooped slightly at the mention of Vesna. Sighing, he brushed his fingers against Jai's cheek. "Yeah. It will. We'll have to take it easy on her for a while. You know how she can get. I'm wondering what Syem will say too."
Vesna was keeping herself busy cleaning the kitchen, blocking out whatever the cattaurs were saying. She didn't want to be an eavesdropper, even when it wasn't purposly.

Jaione purred gently at Luke's hand on her cheek, nuzzling against the touch happily. "Well, it might take me a while to get used to it, too," she commented, rubbing still-damp eyes with the back of her hand. "Especially with all the emotions I've been feeling over the past twenty-four hours." She nodded a bit, before groaning at the thought of telling her father about this.
"That can wait a bit, can't it?" she asked hopefully. She didn't really want the first thing she said to her dad after getting back being that she was dating Vesna's dad. That... would probably lead to a very awkward situation. "We could tell him over lunch or dinner tomorrow, couldn't we? Or... some other time that's not right now. Or today." She stick her tongue out a bit. Yes, she really didn't want to have to talk to Syem about it at all, really. But she didn't have much choice in the matter. At the very least, she could hold it off for... a while.

Luke chuckled. "How do you think I feel? It's odd going from, 'this is my daughter's best friend', to, 'this is my girlfriend'. We'll all be adjusting. But adjust we will." He pulled her close against his chest again, nuzzling his nose into her hair. "If you wish, we can wait to tell him. I'm sure he'll be giving me some funny looks for a while. Once he gets used to it, he'll probably try to call me a cradle robber or something." He said with a nervous but amused laugh.

Jaione laughed happily at Luke's comment, as well as the close contact that was so strange. Well, not strange, more in the fact that Luke was actually returning it this time around, which was a complete contradiction to what she was used to- her flirting being ignored and put off as a want for being close to someone who was like family to her- which... really wasn't something she wanted to think of Luke as in that way, so she wouldn't. Family, yes, family as-in parent, no.
She couldn't help but laugh out loud at that, leaning into Luke while she tried to get her giggles to subside. "Are you really that old, grandpa?" she teased, sticking her tongue out at the older cattaur in a playful manner. She snuggled against him, purring softly. "Well, at least you waited until I was all grown up. I'm not exactly in a cradle anymore~"

Luke snorted and tickled her side. "Better learn to respect your elders, hoolagin." His own warm purr rumbled up as she snuggled against him. "No, you're not in a cradle. It's just an expression for the age difference." He petted her hair slowly, pondering. "You're a young female... I'm still a bit confused as to why you accepted me. You should have someone young and fresh as yourself."

Jaione squeaked a bit at the tickling, clinging to Luke and giggling, a bit of a shiver running down her spine. She flicked her tail a bit, snuggling closer to Luke and making note of the fact that it was starting to get dark, given the quickly diminished lighting. Curse winter and the fact that day turned to night within moments. She chuckled a bit, kissing the tip of the male cattaur's nose lightly. "Don't worry, Lukey, I know what it means," she noted, laughing softly at the elder thinking he needed to explain it to her.
"Me? Young and fresh?" she replied, laughing, her ears flicking back a bit as she nuzzled against Luke's neck. "I promise, I don't plan to take the hand of any of the ridiculous boys my age. After all, it honestly seems like you accepted me," she said, smiling brightly as she pulled back from the older 'taur a bit. "After all, have you really not noticed the fact that I flirted with you constantly as a teenager?" she added, shaking her head a bit at the elder's rather minimal attention to such things, before curving the tip of her tail to either side a bit and leaning up to kiss Luke softly, if only because it was probably something she'd been waiting for about half her lived life.

Wiggling his nose as the tip was kissed, a slight blush painted his cheeks. "'Lukey?' Seriously?" The blush deepened at the nuzzle. Yes, this would take a bit of getting used to. "You? Flirt? Never!" He said with a laugh to hide his embarassment. All that time when she was a teen... he'd just been in denial. The kiss on his lips momentarily froze him. Was he really ready for Jaione?! This kind of Jaione? But almost all at once the frozen gears of his mind and body thawed. With eyes closed, his hands worked up her arms to her shoulders, gripping them gently to deepen the kiss ever so slightly. His emotions searched for an outlet other than completely glomping the lovely female. From his fingertips, trickles of water ran feather light down Jai's back without getting her skin wet.

Jaione purred gently, trying to keep from smiling. Her hands shook slightly, the fur across the catlike portion of her body bristling with static electricity. She couldn't help but giggle softly behind her lips at the feel of the water on her back, unable to resist smiling at this point. She trailed the tip of one of her fingers down his spine, carrying softly jolts of electricity along with it, that would probably leave no more feeling that a simple pinprick in their wake. This could very easily be considered one of the happiest moments- no, days -of her life. Enough so that she didn't even notice the fact that little strands of her hair were starting to stand on end, a trait that she'd trained herself to avoid. Or... so she thought.

A shiver shimmied down his spine in the wake of Jaione's fingertip. Tail swishing back and forth in pleasure, Luke cracked an eye open and smirked. He dampened his hands and brushed them through Jai's hair, calming her static. 'This feels so right.' It seemed he should be uncomfortable. He'd just broken up with Mistaya and was now kissing a girl he had practicly raised. But... He closed his eye again and pulled her against him, the kiss turning with a more passionate force.

Jaione purred softly at the wetting of her hair, tail flicking back and forth happily. It continued to be strange to her that she'd ended up falling for someone who controlled water magic, whereas she was a master of electrical magic; it was just a strange thought to amuse where her mind was blank. She wrapped her other hand around the taller cattaur, and pressed gently into pressure points she'd memorized off on her excursions with the tips of her fingers. Each point left the feeling that the area had gone to sleep, which would go away within about three minutes.
Despite not really wanting to, the girl pulled back finally, smiling at Luke a bit before snuggling against him and chuckling a bit, ears flicking a bit in contentment. "Keeping in mind that it might take Vesna a while to get used to this, I don't think that would be the best thing for her to walk in on," she commented, giggling softly and kissing Luke's cheek, before settling back down against his shoulder and yawning softly.

Luke chuckled happily, listening contently to Jaione's soft purring. His tail twitched as the pressure points were pushed, making him tilt his head in confusion. Whay was she trying to make his back go numb? But she spoke before he could ask. "True." He muttered softly, his eyes flicking over to the kitchen door. "I wonder how she'll take it in the first place when we tell her..." He petted her hair rythmically in a calming manner, his heat beat becoming more regular.

Jaione chuckled softly, smiling a bit. "Not completely sure," she said with a gentle smile. Her legs still shook when she raised herself to be able to stand properly, and she gently ghosted her fingertips down Luke's arms, leaving a netted trail of electrical blue magic. It sparked slightly, almost as though it was glittering, before slowly fading away as she worked her way down to his hands, knitting her fingers between his own smiling happily, which soon turned to an irrepressible giggle.
"This is still so strange to me~" she said, unable to keep from laughing at herself. "I always thought that being with you would be something that could only happen in my dreams, and even then I didn't really accept it," she said with a gentle smile on her face, kissing the other cattaur once again, softly. "And now... it's just..." She laughed again, covering her mouth with one hand. "It's still really strange."

Holding her more firmly at the feel of her shakes, Luke chuckled at the trails of electricity. He couldn't help but return a smile of his own, the female's bright grin being too adorable and irresistable. He raised her hand and kissed it tenderly. "It's always odd when a dream comes true, considering all the stories and experiences of dreams falling apart. But you could look at it this way; this is better than a dream. This is reality. Reality is always around you, while a dream might fade away or be easily broken." He switched from kissing her hand to her lips, lingering before pulling back to gaze at her shining eyes. "Sometimes, reality really can be better."
