Ezru appeared in a flurry of pure energy, radiating the icy temperatures of the Arctic where he draws the powers of his partner, Real. Ezru looked at the woman in front of him, wearing very low-cut jeans, a strapless top that seemed to be almost nonexistint, a dark caddie cap, and boots, she still looked exactly like Aine.
"Aine..." Ezru said as he stared at her, his eyes begining to water up as he saw her for the first time in 3 years "Aine... I'm so sorry..." Ezru said as he stood up, his great height apparent to Aine, and his white hair evident as well. Ezru quickly bent down and hugged her, holding her close as tears rolled down his cheeks, leaving a bright red wake in their trail, as if he had just been burned. Ezru's new hand moved clumsily, barely able to move correctly as he hugged Aine.

Hand in the face-palm position with the other gently resting her zanpakutou against her hip Aine rubbed her forehead vigorously to alleviate her building headache. But NO, she couldn’t have enough time to gather her thoughts and actually be coherent before she was interrupted with a blast of chilled air that sent goose bumps racing across her mostly bare skin. Immediately flicking her emerald gaze up she was met with having to crane her head backwards just to see the face of the man standing only a foot away from her. What’d he just say? I’m sorry…? Kono mame hau wa nan nobeteiru ka? Her train of thought was interrupted when his arms wrapped gently but firmly around her tiny frame. Tensing with her right arm trapped against the tall mans abdomen, Aine was about to scream in frustration.
Her she was in another awkward situation not of her making, face mashed into a well muscled lower chest and generally trapped. But only a moment passed before she felt the spasming of the body she was pressed to. He’s crying… Wriggling enough to be able to look up Aine’s thoughts were confirmed as a tear dropped right between her eyes. Although still tense she couldn’t seem to find it in her to push him away…even if she was more uncomfortable than she’d ever been before. Eyebrow twitching as one of the hands at her back started rubbing in soothing circles Aine attempted to get out of the situation with some not to polite talk. Scratch that! Lifting a knee she pried there bodies apart and jumped back and away from the wall behind her. Postured with her zanpakutou drawn she finally took the time to look over the man who’d grabbed her.
Uniformed as all other Shinigami, the coloration that met Aine’s eyes was most unusual. Darkly tanned skin and perfectly white hair were rare enough a combination without dye, but add in the height and the man she was ready to slice into pieces if he came any closer was such a rarity it was almost funny. The last piece she took in was his milky colored irises that blended nearly seamlessly into the sclera of his eyes. Still postured to defend herself, Aine was at odds. All things considering, the reaction she’d just witnessed was indeed an indication that this man knew her, and well from the past. Heck if she could remember, last thing in her memory was graduation from the Academy…
“Oi, next time introduce yourself before gett’in grabby.” Relaxing her stance minutely, Aine was ready to start her interrogation session. One eyebrow cocked up and eyes set hard even in her delicate features, she opened her sassy mouth again. “Exactly who are you and how do you know me?…Let’s just say I can’t remember a thing from four years ago, so unless you fit in that time frame somewhere, kindly tell me where in the hell I am and then leave. Is that perfectly crystal clear?” The last bit growled out, she was unconcerned with what this would do to the psyche of the person before her; Aine simply wanted a few questions answered and a ticket back to the Living World before she blew a fuse. She had a performance to get to and she’d be damned if she missed it.

Ezru stared blankly ahead, his face unreadable, but his reiatsu suddenly focused at his own energies began to look at Aine's every feature, her eyes, her waist, and he mouth, but also her soul and own reiatsu.
What Ezru saw was so different, but similar to Aine as she was; the reiatsu moved differently, but it still seemed to recognize him. It also seemed misdirected, confused, and... forgotten.
"My name is Ezru Kimishima..." Ezru said, carefully thinking each sentence he was saying before it left his mouth. "A bit more then 3 years ago... You were pregnant with my--- our children, and we were to marry..." Ezru said staring at her with his sightless eyes, watching her for any movement or reaction, hoping that there wouldn't be a violent one "We left together along with Asuma Haruka, and we were living with Sosuke Aizen... and then, everything went sour. I... I'm not sure what happened, but as far as I can tell you, Asuma and I were all lifted up and moved to a different location. I was nowhere... But I gained great power. I can guess that you were in the Land of the Living..."
Ezru stared at Aine, looking at her face with his whited-over eyes, and waiting to see what she would do when he told her this.

“Do I look like I’ve ever been pregnant?” Coming out of her stance Aine slowly re-sheathed her zanpakutou with practiced ease while eyeing Ezru incredulously. They were going to marry! Brows furrowing together harshly her face was stuck in an expression cumulating in a mixture of shock, disbelief, anger and confusion. Unable to take in everything at once she was still stuck on the fact that he’d even said anything about a pregnancy. Hell, if she had been she didn’t remember ever giving birth.
Raising her angry green eyes up to stare into the sightless gaze directed down at her. “So your telling me…we were an item, then we and another dude went to Hueco Mundo and partied with Aizen Sosuke, a defect and leader of all things intent on creating Halflings by nefarious ways, then somewhere in all of this some strange event happened and everyone was separated.” Stating her recalled version of what he’d just said, Aine stood with her arms hung loosely at her sides. This was all so much crap, indeed she wanted to remember the year of her life that was absent, but in the grand scheme of things and in the life of a Shinigami it was like trying to remember when you were born. Remembering a single year was next to nothing for how long she’d live to be if not killed. “Whelp, this is a load.” Removing her white cap, she scratched her scalp before replacing the head cover and walking over to her dropped items. “I’m sorry to say it, but I can’t take having to listen to all of this right now. So, I think I’ll be leaving.” Smirking while bent down, Aine pulled the bat winged, heart shaped back pack off her shoulders, ripped the zipper open and stuffed the set of geta she’d recovered in the red pack. “Now, if you’ll point me in the direction of the closest way out of this freakish place, I’d be so greatful, maybe I’d even give ya a little kiss for old times sake.” Hefting the back pack back on along with her bright red guitar case Aine was set to leave. Skirting the silent form of her once/possible lover she set off at a brisk pace past him, only turning to quietly ask with her posture for the directions she requested.

"The way you want to go..." Ezru said as he turned around, his blank eyes listing lazily to the left "doesn't exisit. I am the only way out, and currently, I do not think you believe me." Ezru said as he suddenly caught a sound with his ears; two metal plated-geta banging against each other somewhere on her person. "Very well then. Where did you find those Geta?" Ezru said as he reached out with his own form of Natural Magyks, probing the dormant mind of the geta's wood, bringing out their memories... Memories of him and Aine in the forest he knew all to well.
Sounds of laughter -one deep, the other light and musical floated- from the geta, the feeling of pounding feet and then utter weightlessness as Aine was lifted from the ground easily and they were removed from Aine's feet and tossed gently down onto the forest floor, with another pair landing next to them with more volume, showing a greater size.
Ezru let go of the image, and shook from the strain. "Aine... We were together... and you were pregnant. I'm not sure what happened, or where you went, but one reason I am here now is because I wanted information on where you were and where our children were..." Ezru had another idea, as he again reached out, forcing the skin on the left side of her hip to clear off. "Your hip... it should have some kind of mark..." Ezru said as he gasped again, the strain hurting his already injured body.

No way out unless helped, dang it…what a waste of time. “Yeah, see no marks…I’ve never had any. Now get your hand out of my pants.” Lifting the huge and darkly tanned hand off of her body like lifting up a dirtied rag, she let the appendage drop as she looked up once again. Her eyes unfocused for a moment, a slightly different appearance running across his features before the blurring cleared and Aine blinked heavily and dropped her gaze. Her head hurt now, way too much for her liking. “I found the geta in a forest. I don’t know where the heck the forest is at, just that I was walking to my concert when I ended up there.” The fact that he’d heard the metallic clack of the foot wear only made the mental picture she had of Ezru more complete. “There was a weird little door shoved up against the trunk of a giant tree and on the porch under it was the geta. All I knew was that they were mine…but I don’t understand why there mine. After that I opened the door and stepped inside only to end up here.”
The next question was swimming round her mind while her headache from before came back with a vengeance, if she had children…where were they? Breathing deeply, Aine’s musically inclined voice was softened from the rough laced tone she’d had earlier. “As for children, if I ever had any, I don’t know where they would be. I hate even having to think about it. Personally, I don’t think I’d turn out to be any sort of good parent, especially with my life style.” Still dropped in her general countenance Aine plopped down onto the grassy patch she stood on and rubbed her temple futilely. “Ne, Ezru? Sit down…let’s at least get some things straight before I decide to follow you. That is if you’re my only ticket back to the Living World. I can’t remember anything from four years ago, at first I could only focus on remembering the past, but for the past year and a half I’ve enjoyed my life. I’ve lived for sixty-four years…and I’m happier than I’ve ever been living on Earth…that is after surrendering to the fact that I most likely won’t remember a good portion of what defined who I was before this whole ‘separation incident’ you told me of.”
Lifting her left hand, she brought her zanpakutou to rest lightly across her lap, one hand gently stroking the black lacquered saya. It had been hilarious when she’d first recalled her ability to use shikai, An-ei had been about to strangle her for not listening to him for a good solid month. He’s always been suck a moody spirit. Then the easily concocted idea hit her. “Tell me, what was I like before? I know who I am now…and the powers I can use, so here’s a quick overview. I work as a web designer for a few large companies situated mainly in Japan, I’m also a hacker. I know I never used to be good with technology…but, I’ve been able to learn to adapt and modify small things here and there.” Staring intently at Ezru, one of her small hands lifted and tapped her neck to indicate the device there. She knew he could feel the gesture in some way. “As for powers, I can use shikai, all kidou up to the thirties…which I definitely couldn’t do before. Mental block on using most of them and all, the last thing I can add is the mastery of my own style of Zanjutsu and the ability to use Hoho, well in fact.”

"Before... You were sweet. Kind, and above all... quiet." Ezru as he staggered and then fell as the two spells he just cast caught up and he coughed up blood. He quickly recovered and his eyes seemed to wander around the area where he knew Aine was. "Also... An-ei hates me..." Ezru's eyes lit up "He should remember me... At least his great distaste for my ways of order and reason, as opposed to your inner world... of shadows and mirrors... And beautiful darkness..." Ezru said as he closed his eyes and thought of that world... The one that he hadn't seen in years, and he missed intently. Then he realized something else; "We've both lost something..." Ezru said "And we gained as well. One of your fondest wishes was to lead a normal life... and mine to see the world in a new way... and Asuma... I think he gained and lost as well... I've not been able to find a trace of him... I think he might be dead. He wanted it to end..." Ezru explained it all "I think we lived because something happened... Although I'm not sure what..."

“I can see why he hates you…” Aine had almost reached over to catch Ezru when he fell, well at least keep him from falling on his face. She caught herself though and kept from twitching violently at her thought of helping. She’d been kind and quiet…that didn’t sound like her at all now. Well…she was kind at times. “Logic is not one of An-ei’s strong suites.” Green eyes fixated on Ezru’s face, Aine picked up on the small changes in his expression as he talked. She was better at reading people than she’d been before…and the slight variance in his reiatsu was enough to make her laugh. Couple that with the way he’d just described her inner world had her lips up turning in a knowing smirk.
“You want to see my inner world…again. How ironic. You know An-ei hates people like you, and yet you’re willing to suffer through his nagging and snarky attitude.” Laughing lightly, a sound like cowry shells clinking together in the wind, Aine’s eyes lit up immeasurably. Only thing was that last part about wishes fulfilled was throwing her off. True, she had wanted a normal life. Wouldn’t anyone who’d gone through her past as a small child? Ah, destiny had a funny way of rearing its ugly head.
Lastly, the idea of another man was intriguing to her. Sure, she couldn’t remember him…but the name range a bell at least. But wanting everything to end, what kind of wish was that? If only she knew. “So, you wanna say hi to An-ei in person?” Eyes closed with a smile plastered haphazardly across her pale face, Aine was having just a little to much fun right at the moment.

"I'll meet your inner angel..." Ezru said as he opened his eyes, and the reflection of the lights made it seem as if his eyes were glowing with a strong, demonic energy "If you'll meet with my inner demon." Ezru motioned to his long zanpaku-to, the intricate designs showing a wolfs head, but hidden from view was the other side of the head, which was shaped to look like a Hollow's mask.
"Real is not docile anymore... but he is more then real enough to show your truths." Ezru said his eyes still glowing, even though the the glare was gone.

Oooo…special effects, so unimpressive, Aine had seen more extraordinary things on the back of a cereal box. Still, it would be an exercise in futility if she didn’t oblige the little offer extended her way. “An-ei is far from ever being and angel Ezru, he’s not exactly the angelic type. As for your own spirit…Hate to break it to ya, but I’m definitely far stronger than I used to be.” Shrugging to punctuate her display of a nonchalant attitude, her lips were still twisted in a smirk. Raising her arms above her head in a lengthy stretch, Aine pushed the straps criss-crossed over her slim shoulders and stood without anything hindering her movement.
Placing the red cord attached to her zanpakutou over her shoulders, the blade sank into its customary position at her back. “Well, what now? Just gonna sit there and semi-stare at me?” Chuckling yet again, for some reason she was relaxing far more than she should. Probably had to do with her missing memories, her mind may not have remembered…but it seemed her body did. Flashing behind the still seated Ezru, she rested her hands on his wide shoulders and leaned heavily on him while gazing straight ahead. “I can’t say I’m too worried about a demon, or whatever you called’em. If I’m going to die, I’m going to go out with a smile on my face. I’m not going to cry over what’s gonna happen to me in the process.” Aine was being completely truthful, even her reiatsu would show what she was feeling. Her out look on life had drastically changed in three years, and she was sure glad about it.

Ezru simply nodded, being unable to speak as he gathered his reiatsu, and took a deep breath and exhaled it. The breath came out, but not as it should. Instead it curled around his head, and rushed all around, encasing them both in a dome as Real took a form that would leave even a Captain speechless.
Real stood at nearly 5 feet in height, and weighed easily 600lbs. He seemed to draw in all life and heat, and pushed an out a cold air that would freeze fire itself. Real had change din other ways; he now looked more like a Hollow then a wolf, and had a mask covering his head. Aine, you stupid pup. You fail to realize what you yourself know... As does An-ei... Real growled as he forced An-ei to materialize. An-ei came bound in shackles of pure light, negating whatever power he would have in this world of cold and ice. I thought you were going to make sure she knew you flea-ridden piece of crap. You disgrace Zanpkau-to everywhere... Real growled letting out a wave of pure reiatsu that froze over An-ei's face, and leaving Aine gasping for breath.
Real turned his attention to her next. And you! You were treated better then Ezru treated himself. He tried to get you people who would be able to care for you, put his life on the line against Aizen, Cero Espada, and Diablo, and all you can do is give him a piece of your mind?! I've been urging him to at least rip off your top and have his way and then kill you. Who would know? According to records, you don't exist. But he has been saying no... Resisted each and every attempt to be taken over. And for what? You giving him s**t? Rot in a frosty hell bit---
Real was cut off as Ezru regained control, and set himself straight. "No. You. DON'T." Ezru said as the dome vanished and the energy dissipated, sending An-ei back, and leaving not a trace but for frost and ice hanging from Aine's hair.
Ezru fell on his side as he shivered and gasped, the energy drain on him enormous. "That is what I'm fighting... Every second." Ezru gasped around his own spasms. "Please... Aine. Remember how it was."

Frost cracking off her ebony hair as the sunlight reappeared, Aine stood with her arms wrapped around her midsection after the icy hellhole had disappeared. She wasn’t shocked by what had just occured, no, she was infuriated. Mother Night, An-ei. What in the name of Hell have you been keeping from me!? The internal spirit quaked shortly with a rustling of his efflorescent form, always at sorts when Aine addressed him so roughly. He turned away from her internalized view, his back hunched over ever so slightly. More than you’d forgive me for… He sounded defeated, tired and uncharacteristically sympathetic. I’ve been able to retain my memories from the year that’s absent from your own. I didn’t want you to remember; you finally had what you wanted. Freedom from a society that bound you to a duty that was never your intent to take up, and a ‘normal’ life style. Turning back into her line of sight, An-ei smiled half heartedly at his wielder…sure that she’d be far to incensed to ever forgive him.
An-ei, if it had been a year and a half ago…I would have beaten you to within an inch of my own life. Sighing with her eyes closed tightly, fending off her conflicting emotions and the words that Real had spewed only seconds before she wanted nothing more than to just up and leave. If she couldn’t remember, and her trusted spirit didn’t want her to remember for the sake of her own happiness…then the hollowized wolf had absolutely nothing to say to her. She could careless! It was a selfish notion, but after her screwed up life due to the always imperfect system of Soul Society, she was due for a bit of uninterrupted happiness. But then the rest of her persona kicked in, the worrying she was quite familiar with settling across her shoulders.
Looking down at the writhing Ezru, her mind was made up, her caring nature overriding the rest of her personality. I want you to give me back the memories of the relationship I had with him. Nothing about being pregnant, if it even happened, only about our relationship, no other memories, do you understand me An-ei? Eyes now clenched tightly, her arms dropped to her sides and her tiny hands fisted in the tight fabric of her black jeans. Sore wo Aine utsuyoutoshinai. Kare wo obaeru koto ga dekinai kareba yori ii joutai ni naru. Sending an wave of annoyance straight to An-ei, Aine was about at her wits end. Just do it An-ei!
With a chilled expression crossing his moonlit face, An-ei did exactly as he's been instructed too. That instant a torrent of suppressed feelings assaulted Aine’s consciousness and had her falling to her knees at the pain it sent lancing through her brain. Every look, every soft caress, every moment laugh, every kiss and every bit of what had tied her to the man convulsing in front of her had Aine whimpering at the rush of feelings forgotten. Emerald eyes snapping open and impossibly wide, her hands twitched as she wanted to reach out and relieve his discomfort. But her intact personality still had her indignant over what his spirit had done, had said to her. She couldn’t fault An-ei for his decision; he was so unlike other zanpakutou spirits in the fact that he was a separate being living in her psyche. Not a piece of herself given life, but a truly separate being. Yet Real was not like that, he carried the tortured musings of the man she now remembered she loved, and all Aine wanted to do at the moment was punch Ezru with all of her might for the crap she’d had to take from a piece of him. If she had been stronger to begin with, none of this ‘he did so much for you’ BS would matter.
Head still throbbing sharply with every thought, Aine’s eyes began to well up due to the combination of pain and her rampant emotions. The tears sliding down her cheeks were black as ebony, staining the edges of her sclera gray, as the black drops yearned to fall. Pushing herself up right, legs not listening well to nerve firings form her pain clouded brain, Aine tottered the few feet to come to a stop beside Ezru. Dropping to her knees, she smeared the dark tears across her cheeks with the backs of her hands before deftly lifting his head onto her lap. Hands stroking the spiky white locks obscuring his eyes from her view as she bent down slowly. Faces only a breath apart, she couldn’t make up her mind, either punch him out or ravish him. Instead as more dark tears dropped from her flushed cheeks she pressed her full lips to his in a soft expression of her tender endearment and partially returned memories, a happy medium between her two earlier choices. Aine didn’t deepen the kiss, only kept her lips gently against his while her hands worked to sooth his body and stop his spasms.
Pulling back with green eyes hooded, her brows were edged with worry and her lips twitched upwards minutely. “If Real ever says anything like that to me again, I don’t care how bad I am at Hakuda, I WILL punch you out for his comments, there as much yours as his.” Curling round her lovers head, Aine began to relax in inches, her anger dissipating as warmth suffused through her barely clothed body. “...But if you wanted my top off, it might have been a good idea to ask.” Snickering against Ezru’s snowy hair, her eyes still leaked her black tears as they closed as exhaustion set in. Whatever the process An-ei had used to return her specified memories, it had drained her mentally to the point that she was having difficulty moving.

Ezru's body became still, and most would think he'd passed out. He wasn't passed out yet, but was passing in and out of that world known as dream-land. The last thing that happened before he knocked was Aine pressing her lips against his own, and him being to stunned and tired to respond in kind. All he could do was revel in the fact that she seemed to remember because he felt his head in her soft lap which he remembered, and the warmth from her body... "I missed you Aine...." Ezru said softly "I was hoping... that you would remember me soon...." he continued, ending with a smile, just as his thoughts and vision faded to a deep sleep

Waking to the feeling of being flicked in the head every few seconds, Aine sat up immediately and glared daggers at An-ei. For a year now the spirit had gotten it into his pretty little head that he could just pop in on the real world when ever he felt like it. He was such a bother sometimes, this moment being yet another time he was bothersome. “Go back home before I make you An-ei,” she bit out, unhappy at being woken when she still had a massive headache. The darkness incarnate shrunk away from her briefly, surging back to fit his form against hers from behind, and alabaster hand aimlessly twirling one of her forelocks.
“You should be thanking me for returning your memories, Kurodori. I could have kept them all to myself.” He whispered menacingly into her ear, a smile stretching across his white face as he tugged on her forelock for emphasis. Aine just turned her head and looked at the spirit like he’d just sprouted another head.
“Thank you? You’re totally whipped Moonboy.” Raising her right hand she wrested his appendage from her hair and shrugged him off of her. “You’re MY zanpakutou, let’s see ya get along without me. It would be a great experiment, making it so ya can’t get back inside my head.” Teasing An-ei had become a past time of sorts for Aine, his reactions were just priceless. True to form he reeled back and stood in a flourish of his twisting black clothing, eyes wide and head cocking to the side as if he were reptilian.
“You would never do that…”She only smiled at him sweetly, watching as his amethyst eyes flashed with fear before he hid it behind a mask of indifference.
“You never know An-ei, it might be fun to make you leave me alone for a few days. But no, I wouldn’t force you to be seen…now go back home.” Voice softened to reassure her spirit, his form dissipated from view and she was rewarded with a quiet ‘thank you’ echoing through her head. Now with the distraction gone, her eyes drifted down to stare fondly at the head nestled comfortably in her lap. Aine was still upset over what had happened, but staring at the lover she’d been separated from for three years kept her from doing anything rash. After fixing the mussed side of her hair courtesy of An-ei, she let her black nailed hands tenderly work through his dove colored hair, taking in his changed appearance. No, seeing him the way he was now was not much of a surprise…he had always changed before...Why not now? Still, she was simply overjoyed in a way she couldn’t articulate, only wanting to touch and be touched in return. Bending down, her lips ghosted over Ezru’s forehead until they followed the curve of his face to rest just before his ear. “Koibito wo mezamenasai, ima neburu jiki ga nai.”Aine wasn’t exactly quiet in her attempt to wake her lap pet, almost shouting with the volume she let her voice take on. She couldn't be bothered with waiting for a timely wake up, now could she?

"Mmmmmm...." Ezru groaned slightly as he woke from his feigned sleep; he had been awake for the little squabble between An-ei and Aine, which seemed normal for them, so he wasn't bothered by it. "You're back..." Ezru said softly as he looked up at Aine's bright emerald eyes, which shone with a deep light. "I finally have you back..." Ezru continued softly as he began to stand up and stretch, yawning loudly "I think you believe me now?" Ezru asked, his smile wolfish, and his eyes seeming to focus on Aine and then wandering off in random directions.
"And I'm fairly certain we need to catch up after so long... Do you wish to go to the Forest...?" Ezru said "We've both proven that the door still works."
