And those are the type of people we don't want.

I would assume that the posting guideline is just a rough guideline, after all since the posting guideline is supposed to revolve around just in character posts it would be the responsibility of the crew to keep track of the numbers of posts from each member; However, I doubt any of those in charge actually care to keep track of such things.

Quite true, on both counts. Quality of posts should be taken into account, depending on the situation.

Quality is definitely better than Quantity. After all if you promote a person for posting 250 one liners, but don't promote the guy who posted 50 3 paragraph posts, you'll end up with members giving up.

Though, in my situation (When no one is there to post with), it made sense to accept my bumps...

Yeah, I get that. You mentioned that you were told it had to be in the training grounds? Sucks for me cause I've only done maybe three there. Then I moved to Tower grounds because that's where everyone else was. There was no reason to stay in training grounds. I think having more than just full-fledged charachters helps put forward the story.
I wonder how many posts I've done so far? I forgot to count. Screw it; I'll just wait until I'm told I ... whatever it's called. Level up? I dunno. I'll just hang out, do my part in the story, and generally goof off until my betters say I'm full-fledged.
Yeah, that second paragraph was just my musings; you didn't have to read it. Actually you don't have to read anything at all; not like we could make you..... sorry, rambling again.

If you click on the Guild Members tab it says how many total posts you've done.

Thanks. 78. And I invited a guy I met. He did a memorial for RJ in the threads. It was good; very detailed.

I lurk alot and I try not to over post without giving people a chance to respond...really I do try.
I was wondering how long would be appropriate to wait for a response before moving on with a thread.
1 to 2 days.
3 to 4 days.
Just curious as I don't wish to be rude about it.

I'd say one or two days, but then again, I'm on almost every day.

Aria Dantos I lurk alot and I try not to over post without giving people a chance to respond...really I do try. I was wondering how long would be appropriate to wait for a response before moving on with a thread. 1 to 2 days. 3 to 4 days. Just curious as I don't wish to be rude about it. It depends on how important the topic is... If the two of you were sitting at a table eating lunch it would be fine to excuse yourself in 1 to 2 days. However if you are fighting darkfriends, or something that is a bit more serious, you should wait a week, and if they have not responded and have not contacted you or left an OOC message for you then it is about time for you to advance the post. Some people end up waiting far too long for other people to post, when we really need to keep our efforts on advancing the roleplays so we can continue to generate interest for others. If somebody is interested in joining and they visit and notice people are only posting once every couple of weeks they'll just end up leaving before they ever join.

Indeed. That is true. Some common sense and thought go a long way sometimes.
