Amelia stayed where she was for a moment, finishing off a Revenant. Then, without a word, she dashed over and lunged at the Bael while it was preoccupied with the masked lancer, stabbing her Killer Lance through its neck. She fluidly ripped out her weapon, then leaped back and away. "There. Hand given." With that, she returned to covering Ashnard's back.

After finishing those Revenants around him (which Ashnard doesn't know how many because he stopped counting after twelve due to boredom) the Mad King spun around on his heel to discover one of the many people he hated. However, this time the wyvern-riding warrior was fighting with him. Assuming that his nemises meant no harm to the fighters, he lunged towards a Bael that had re-emerged just a little too soon.

Bartre started to go to where Amelia was to go and help them out, getting hit by a revenant on his way. Swinging his axe, he chopped it down easily.

The Fire Dragon readied another Flametongue and released it in one continuous breath, completely melting a few Revenants before they could even have a chance to attack.
Nils kept close to Fire Dragon still, hesitant still to play for Siegell.

Siegell's breath rose in puffs of white vapor as they stood among the steaming carcasses of the beasts they had slain. "Haah... I think that's all, for now..." The masked rider cleaned his blade in a patch of fresh snow, then carefully mounted it on his back in its harness. "What's going on here? What are you guys doing out fighting beasts in the snow?" Siegell stroked his fingers through his hair, eyeing each of them in turn.

Amelia crossed her arms over her front, letting her lance's head drag into the snow. "We're on our way to get supplies from Merlinus' store in town," she told him matter-of-factly. "which is something you'd know if you'd bothered to go to Fefga's house." She brushed some sticky green ichor off of her cheek, not liking the feel of it on her skin. She cast a precautionary gaze across the snow, looking for any stragglers, then over at the city before speaking, mostly addressing the other group members that she had left the house with. "Guys, we should keep going. The longer we stay out here, the colder we get."

"All right then. Hopefully, we won't get ambushed again."

Siegell frowned. "Lemme help you out. I've been doing some thinking lately, and... well, screwit, I can explain it when we get back." He gave Amelia an earnest smile. "I promise I'll make the hammer thing up to you. Let's just go." He looked back toward town, closing his eyes for a moment, reaching out to feel Shastah's mind.
We're heading for town. Come on, we could use your help if we're gonna be transporting a lot of food.
He could feel Shastah thrum in assent in his head. "Shastah's on his way to town, he'll meet us there. Come on, let's go." He gingerly stepped over a fallen Revenant and took a few steps in the direction of Castle Town.

Amelia stayed silent for a few moments. He sounded genuine enough, but... was it worth it to trust him? It can't hurt anything now. There are enough people here that if he pulls anything, it'd bite him in the arse later... she thought. Once he opened his eyes again, Amelia presuming that he had been thinking something over, she nodded slightly. "All right. Let's go." she offered him a small smile, then started for the town. She dragged her lance head in the snow until it was clean, then lifted it up and held it in her right hand while she walked, close to her side.

Nils nodded slowly, starting in a slow walk alongside Fire Dragon. "He seems... trustworthy enough. And yet... yet, something feels off." He shook aside those thoughts for now, placing the flute back on his belt.

「 The bundle of robes that had tumbled from Fefga house as the search parties convened had disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. The sage smothered under all of the layers had trekked for some time, listening cautiously for any movement. He'd been lucky, only encountering a small pack of Mauthe Doogs and a stray Revanant. One hit with his Elwind had dispatched each of the beasts, two finishing off the staggering corpse. He only prayed he didn't meet a Bael in the drifts. 」
「 Suddenly, the boy stopped in is tracks, tiltingh is head to listen closely. He'd heard something, not too far from where he stood it seemed, that sounded oddly like a flute. Eyes widening considerably, the sage pushed on in the direction the music had come from, determined to catch up to the search party. 」

Renault glanced at the wyvern rider momentarily, then adjusted his pace to walk next to Amelia. That man. . . wasn't exactly trustworthy, in the case of these others. Granted, the bishop had been on his side in the last conflict, but for completely different reasons. If he wanted to come along, then he could come along, but the rest of them would stay together; and Siegell was not going to get the benefit of the doubt in this case, not until he'd proved his intentions had changed. But, here was the town. . .
. . . And Renault gave a slight wince as they started in, looking at the destruction around them. Not only were windows broken, but so were pieces of walls, holes in the frames of the buildings themselves. . . and even in this cold, a faint undercurrent of copper filled the air, the familiar smell of blood. "This is. . ."

(SPARTA!!)
Ashnard was untrusting of Siegell and did not want him to be here. The Wyvern Lord's entrance was all too perfect, too convenient. Ashnard would keep an eye on him.
As they approached the town, the armored giant saw destruction everywhere. Broken windows, collapsed walls, burnt homes and corpses were littered across his field of view. Hearing what the bishop said, the mad king replied, "What?.. Did you expect anything less? This place was just surrounded by foes! Honestly, if you expected everything to be safe, you're not too smart."
