Chapter Two: Meeting the Magical Myndie
"Yes," Myndie replied, seeming quite pleased with herself. "This world that you are in and my own home especially is very magical. I'm curious as to what each of you are seeing right now."
Valor looked at Myndie and then at Veral'De, somewhat uncomfortable knowing that they might all be perceiving something different. He was also curious as to what had caused Veral'De such an apparent shock a moment ago. "Um...well, I see this huge tropical forest and what looks like some ruins of an ancient temple. I can hear birds and bugs and general forest noises. Geez, I feel like I'm a little crazy if I'm the only one who sees all this. It is a forest isn't it?"
"Your perceptions make it real!" Myndie sounded delighted, like this was a game that she enjoyed playing with people. "What do you see, Veral'De?"

Chapter 2: Meeting the Magical Myndie
"So...we're all seeing something different right now huh?" Veral'De said while rubbing his chin in thought. The question wasn't really for Myndie, but for himself as he stood there in contemplation. So things in this world are magical...I could've easily explained the dragon evolution can do some crazy things, but magic is new to me...
Veral'De listened to what Valor saw and he shook his head in wonderment, "Well that's not what I'm seeing...or hearing..." Veral'De squinted his eyes as a shiver passed through his body, "and feeling." When Myndie asked him what he was seeing he turned to look at her.
"I...I see a vass frozen lake with many fish swimming in it, there's so much color," he said his eyes lighting up a bit and his voice growing in volume. "Fish I've never seen before! I mean like that right there," he said walking closer to the lake, and pointing at a certain spot "this big fish that's just well just doing nothing, he's different..." Veral'De trailed off noticing he was getting excited. "And well there's a long stretch of land leading off to an iceberg that has an opening in it."
Veral'De looked off to the side as he felt his face get hot, he knew he was blushing and didn't want anyone to see it. Especially Valor for some reason he couldn't place.

Chapter Two: Meeting the Magical Myndie. He shrugged. "I dunno. I was reading books in a library, and pulled a black book off the shelf. I thought I had gotten free, but I guess not." He frowned slightly, looking down at the sand they were walking on. He heard her comment and looked back up at her. "What if the book...?" he repeated, hoping she might finish the question. He hadn't a clue what she might be talking about.

Chapter 2: Meeting the Magical Myndie "Well, Valor and Veral'De, I'd like you to meet my first little visitor while I see who else is coming" Rikki stared all bug eyed at Valor and Veral'De. Veral'De was very rough looking, as if he'd been living in the wilderness. Valor was the complete opposite. They stared at her, examining her as she started to presperate. Her knees buckled in and her cheeks reddened in embarassment hoping they weren't noticing her discomfort. "Um... hi..." she managed to squeak out. She had always been alone, being an only child and what not, so meeting to strange boys after 'falling' into a book was kinda scary, even more so than meeting Myndie. "M-My n-name's Rikki, um Mouse"

Chapter Two: Metting the Magical Myndie
Meg was torn between telling him the truth or just making something up. She decided to stick to the truth. "Well, it is a complicated story, but i pray that my father didnt get a book like this." She said while staring at the ground. "He did some stuff to me when i was younger, because he blamed me for the death of my mom. She died giving birth to me, so i guess i am the one to blame." She said while tears started to gather in her eyes. She blinked them away and didnt dare look at his face.

Chapter Two: Meeting the Magical Myndie
"Huh, Rikki Mouse? Well, I'll never forget that name. It reminds me of Micky. Hey Micky, is something wrong? You look really uncomfortable." Valor said, looking concerned. He cast a glance at Veral'De, but he was was looking away for some reason. Valor wondered if it was him that made everyone uncomfortable. "What...do I have chocolate on my face or something?" Valor asked, wiping his face and feeling embarrassed himself.

Chapter 2: Meeting the Magical Myndie Rikki giggled and smiled. Her cute little girl laughter was quite uncontrollable and she couldn't seem to stop. "N-No!! You're fine! I just am shy around new people, which I always say to myself if i'm gonna live an adventure like in my stories I must learn to be talkative" A sudden rush of relief passed over Rikki as she learned by Valor's questioning and Veral'De's staring that they were not cyber robots about to eat her, which in this case, anything was possible. "I'm Rikki, oh um you already know that, um which one are you? Valor or um, Dural, Mel, Veral'De!!?"

Chapter 2: Meeting the Magical Myndie Veral'De finally gathered his wits again and he felt his face cool down, how embarrassing...he thought to himself as he turned to face the new rambunctious talker. "Rikki is it?" He asked, but truly already knew the answer, "The name is Veral'De and that over there is Valor," he said while pointing his thumb at him. "And no you look...fine." Veral'De said a little quietly, but quickly made sure to change the subject.
"So Rikki how'd you end up here? I've heard Valor's story, but I'm curious about yours also." It was a simple one, but one to get things rolling again and hopefully not to let people's brain's wander. Veral'De sneaked one last glance at Valor and smirked slightly, he is a...oh nevermind! Reaching into his backpack Veral'De grabbed his used bottle of water and took a quick gulp from it.

Chapter 2: Meeting the Magical Myndie "Hm, well, I was going to the library to check out some books, and when I touched this black book, it kinda sucked me in. Oh, goodness, I hope I am making sense!" Rikki smoothed her white short strands of hair out of her face. "You see, I am home-schooled, so the only books I get would be history and blah. So I checked out my own books, or check without the ed rather, but um, it's quite boring being homeschooled from kindergarten to college. I don't have much friends, so in a way, I'm kinda glad to be in here! Well, a little" Rikki stopped herself when she realized she was babbing. Something about the two boys made her feel comfortable. Maybe her whole life all she needed was to be around people who weren't trying to suff textbooks in her brains or turn her into a computer zombie. Rikki gave off a smile as she swung her white dress around.

Chapter Two: Meeting the Magical Myndie
"Yeah, I know how that feels. I'd much rather be here than back at school, but wow, being homeschooled your whole life sounds really rough. Hey guys, let's not worry too much about going home right away. Why don't we just focus on exploring and having a good time for right now?" Valor suggested cheerfully, keeping his eyes on Rikki as she twirled her dress. He thought she looked really cute and innocent. "Like, oh no! We're trapped in a world filled with magic and dreams! If you ever had a dream come true, what would you want it to be?"

Chapter 2: Meeting the Magical Myndie "Yeah, being free from school and work to come here is nice" Rikki had become extremely comfortable now and was growing fond of Valor's random humor. "I'm glad we didn't fall into a book like the ones where danger immediatly starts" Rikki felt herself blushing but it was not of embarrassment. She stared into his light brown eyes and she smiled. She then remembered that she was staring which was considered weird so she turned her attention on Veral' De. He hardly spoke. She imagined they would all make great friends and have many adventures together. Veral'De could battle off any threats and Valor could navigate them and she'd be the tag-a-long character who you love to read about. Maybe their adventures in the book would turn into words to the outsiders reading it, or maybe the whole world would get sucked in and they'd have a new Earth. Then she started thinking about how Myndie hadn't returned yet.

Chapter 2: Meeting the Magical Myndie
Valor stared off at the "forest" pensively. Rikki hadn't gotten that Valor's question about dreams hadn't been rhetorical. He was really curious what his companions might be looking forward to. Suddenly a thought occured to him. "Dude! I can't wait to meet Darkstone! Flippin Dragon!"

Chatper 2: Meeting the Magical Myndie
Veral'De smiled as he saw Rikki and Valor talking, it was a lot enjoyable for him to just watch. When Rikki mentioned the fact maybe words would pop on the book now that they entered seemed kind of interesting to him. Veral'De chuckled lightly when Valor mentioned how he wanted to meet a dragon and Veral'De was actually a little curious also.
"Yes meeting a dragon would be interesting, especially if it could talk." Veral'De let this idea just hang out there so the two would pick up on it. They both seemed like the type to gaggle on about anything and it was fun watching to him. He also liked the fact that Rikki was so talkative and cute, when moments earlier she was very shy. We must have very likable personalities, he thought to himself which made him smile some.

Chapter 2: Meeting the Magical Myndie Rikki suddenly got excited about meeting the dragon. If it was a talking dragon she'd be awefully amazed. "Darkstone, I imagine he'd have charcol skin, but a hint of grayish luster." Just then, from behind them came a dragon. His long body and fluttering wings were quite graceful and amazing. Myndie sat ontop of Darkstone. "Hey! This is my dragon! Darkstone, say hi" The dragon started to nuzzle their cheeks.

Chapter Two: Meeting the Magical Myndie
"...incredible..." was all the wit that Valor could produce as the dragon nuzzled his cheeks. He cuddled right back, even reaching up a hand to pat the great beast. As they touched, Valor thought that he could feel the magic coursing through the creature. "I'm sure you get this all the time, Darkstone, but you have got to be the coolest dragon I have ever met. Honestly, Puff and Faulkor got nothin' on you," Valor said, naming a few dragons that he'd seen in movies before.
