Dasha her head slightly so she could see Flint. She continued to walk, however, holding her hands over the opposite arm. She slowly nodded her head once again before turning to look ahead of them.
"Yes," she confirmed as she came to the turn down the street. "I didn't really have much hair at all when I was born, and it started out looking almost brown. But that was when I only had little....well, stubble I guess you'd call it. As it grew in, though, it was obvious that it wasn't brown. At least, that's what my parents tell me."
She paused as she thought about it. She could remember a lot of her very young years, farther back than most people could. And she remembered her parents commenting on her hair quite often, thinking that she couldn't understand them. Though she didn't catch a lot of the words, she couldn't talk well just yet after all, she caught the gist of what they were saying. It wasn't just her hair either, even now they still commented on the odd coloring of her eyes.
She pushed the thoughts aside as another side street came up.
"There are a few more streets we have to go down before we get there," she said. She wanted to ask him if he had been born with silver hair, but thought twice about it. He had mentioned earlier that he was an orphan. Perhaps it would be best to leave his childhood out of casual conversation.

"Interesting...... OH joy~! We're almost close then. Thats good."
He followed her closely, not caring to get lost. He looked about the town as he passed.
"What do you do here for fun? Any night clubs? Though, I should ask William that... I'm sure he has already found them and a few girls to boot....."
He laughed slightly, keeping his hands shoved in his pockets.
"Forgive me, I talk a lot about William."

Dasha gave a slight shrug as she considered his question.
"Not too much. When I'm not working, I wander about the town a lot. No particular places, really. Were I stay changes daily. Or nightly. Depends on when I decide to be out," she answered him, glancing at a shop they passed. There were some brightly colored fabrics hanging out in front of it and it had caught her eye.
"Though I find that I enjoy watching people...make things," she muttered, almost too quietly to hear.

"You sound more exciting than me," he joked.
"I don't do much. Lots of reading."

He played with a small trinket in his pocket as he walked. He stared up at the sky again, not really knowing what to say.
"I want to be a writer..... Hence all my reading. I just haven't come across a good idea yet. Every story I start ends in almost utter failure."
He let out a sigh as he thought it over.
"I guess I should probably pick a better future huh?" he said with a faint laugh.

"Not necessarily," Dasha responded, looking to him. "It just takes the right inspiration, I guess. Don't give up on it. If it's something you really want, I'm sure you'll be able to do it."
'Since when did I start giving pep talks?' she thought to herself.
"At least you have a career in mind," she added, looking down at the road in front of her. "I can't think past a year or two. I can't do anything that's worth anything in a job."

Flint looked upon her fondly before returning his glance to the road ahead.
He could already see the cluttered marketplace and it's colored lights that gave it a cheery feel. He gave a small sigh, partially just to see his breath.
"Yhea,... I hope so. I had wished that this town would spark my imagination. Perhaps spur me forward. Ever town has its secrets. I just wonder if what is hidden in this town is what I need to get that little jump."
He gave his shoulders a roll and looked at the watch that made its home upon his wrist. It was getting late but he could spare a few more hours with this lovely lady he had met. His heart pounded as he thought of how he was going to make sure that he'd see her again. The city wasn't a major one but there was still plenty of people in it and the more people there was the less chances he had of running into her again. He was sure that this wasn't a flower he wanted to disappear and he desperatly thought of a solution.
He could give her his number but then he seemed a bit too desperate. He probably wouldn't have the nerve to do it anyway, no matter how piggish he could be.
A single thought resonated through his mind and sent a chill down his spine.
'You could loose her.'
He had only spent a little time with her, perhaps an hour, yet he still felt that she was special. It was a feeling that he couldn't explain and a type of special that only one can sense if they look close enough. Like a layer of skin hidden beneath all others.

Flin'ts mention of the towns secrets made Dasha think of her own. She shuddered lightly at the thought, which would easily be mistaken for a shudder from the cold. What if he found out? He seemed very intelligent. Not that she hadn't met intelligent people before, but he had somehow guessed how sensitive her sense of smell was. It would only be a matter of time until he noticed other things about her that weren't normal. Somethings were obvious, her eye and hair color and the paleness of her skin. No matter how much time she spent out in the sun, she never tanned. Luckily for her, it wasn't the summer, so she had an excuse for being pale. But still, that time of year, most women at least had a hint of their summer tans left on their skin. She had none.
She pushed the thought from her mind and glanced back to once again. This was quickly becoming a habit of her's. If she hadn't looked over to him for more than a few minutes, she felt the need to. Whether it was just to make sure he was still there or just to look at him, she wasn't sure.
"I hope so too..." she agreed.
Her eyes slowly moved away from him to the marketplace in front of them. They were nearing it quickly and were about to come up to the first stall which had colorful fabrics hung out in the front and around it.
"This is it, as I'm sure you've guessed," she said, glancing to the fabrics as they passed.

"Yhea,...." He looked at the colored fabrics as they passed. He was tempted to buy her something. It wasn't until they passed a small store that he paused in mid-stride. There, hanging off a small hook, was a long beautifully woven purple scarf that faded into a light blue. A design was woven in with silver thread, its shine adding to its appeal. He took a step forward and grasped its soft, thin fabric. His fingers played with it for a moment before he raised his eyes to the small girl that ran the shop.
"Miss... How much?"
The girl looked up to face him and he was astounded to see that her eyes were completely covered by a silver haze.
A smile came to her lips.
"Ah,..... All my scarves are wonderful but what one could you be speaking about."
She tipped her head to the side, trying to hear.
"Perhaps the young women behind you is your inspiration."
A shocked look came to his face as he started into her empty eyes.
"Your heart says that I'm right." she whispered gently, her smile growing. "One silver, thats all I ask." She spoke louder now and soon heard the clinking of change.
Flint pulled out two silver pieces and placed them in a small cup. For work like this it was still not what he should be paying.
The girl nodded her head in thanks as he took the scarf.
Turning to Dasha he pulled the scarf over her head and around her neck, pulling her close slightly.
"It flatters you," he said simply with a small smile gracing his lips.

Dasha had been distracted, looking away at some of the other wares that the stalls held around them, so she didn't notice what Flint was doing at first. She was beginning to turn her head to see where he was when she felt something over her head. She almost jumped a bit, but suppressed it, looking to see what was now on her and who had put it there.
Her eyes gazed up to Flint as soon as she gathered what it was he was talking about. There was a hint of slight shock in her eyes for a short moment before her purple lips slowly turned upward in a small smile.
"Oh," she said, rather quietly. She wasn't used to having things bought for her, especially not by someone she had just met.
She looked down at it and ran her fingers against the intricate pattern. The quaint smile still on her face. "It's very...pretty..."
She looked up to him after a short moment and looked him in the eyes.
"What's this for?" she asked, a bit of confusion entering her face..

"Nothing much," he smiled, "Just a way for you to remember today."
He reluctantly let go of the scarf, the only think holding them together.
"I just remembered that I must start dinner tonight and pick up my sister. I've had such a good time. Forgive me for leaving."
He took a step back, his smile taking on a slightly sad expression.
"You've been lovely, I've truly enjoyed myself." He pointed to the scarf as he began to turn away.
"I hope you like it," he said simply.

Dasha stared at him as he began to back away from her, a bit sad that he was leaving.
'I have a feeling that I'd remember today even if you hadn't gotten the scarf...' she thought to herself.
"Well, thank you," she said, a bit reluctantly. "Thank you for the scarf."
She slowly brought her hand up in a small wave as her eyes lingered on him for a few more moments before she turned. She placed both of her hands onto the part of the scarf just below her chin and lifted it up to her face. She felt the fabric with her cheeks and took in it's scent. It smelt of many different things, most of which she couldn't recognize. But there was a very faint scent that she just barely picked up in it.....honey. It had the smell of honey. A small smile spread across her lips as she slowly began to take a few steps away from where she had been standing.

Flint stumbled home, still in a haze. He couldn't believe that he had done. Nevertheless a smile came to his lips as he made his way. He had done it and he hoped that she would remember him, better yet, that he would see her again.
He grasped the small key that was in his pocket and slipped into the home that he lived in. He would have to set out the meat and then go get Aurora. He pulled the breads from his bags and placed them on the counter and then walked out of the house once more, locking the door behind him.
His father was probably upstairs working and unable to do much else.

The moisture in the air was growing thick and he could guess that by the warming weather that it was probably going to rain tonight, just what he hoped. Aurora was getting out of school about now and he'd get there about the time when she was finishing up with her teachers. Being a new student she often had to stay after just to catch up with everyone.

Dasha continued to hold the scarf in her hands as she walked through the rest of the marketplace. Normally she would have looked at everything, but she felt a bit distracted. It almost felt like the scarf that Flint had bought her was better than anything else in the marketplace now. Not only was it something someone else had bought for her, but it was something she would have picked out herself. Either he just got really lucky in picking it out for her, or it was really obvious what her taste was. She guessed that it was rather obvious. Her entire outfit was formed around the colors purple and blue, to match her eyes and hair.
She pushed the thought aside as she came to a corner street. She turned down it and began walking down it's emptiness. There was no one else walking that way. In fact, it was almost like an ally. She knew her way around, however, and knew where she was going. She still had quite some ways to walk before she would reach her home. The marketplace wasn't somewhere she visited entirely often just because of how far it was from where she lived.
Her heels clicked against the hard ground as she continued to walk. She stared ahead of her as her hair streamed out behind her. She had quickened her pace at the sudden rise in moister in the air. She didn't want to be caught outside in the rain.
