I wouldn't ban any instrument because of sounds but because of expensiveness, and for my band that would have to be percussion. Every year we are forced to do fundraisers because every year we pretty much throw away so much money on the percussion. They never keep their area clean so that alone creates risks that result in things being broken. And they spin their sticks, and said sticks usually go flying through the air, smashing into the floor, etc. and break...
And french horns because ours are complete a** holes. I don't know why people put up with them because they are always causeing us to have replay certain parts of a peice over and over....I'm not even gonna start cause I won't be able to stop

KoriTenshi It's funny you say that flutes should be banned from Earth, considering that they are the oldest known wind instrument. If we didn't have flutes, you wouldn't have any other wind instruments. Actually, the ocarina is the oldest known instrument, no one knows where it started. It traces back to ancient civilizations, but the modern version was redone in Italy in the 1800s. I think the electric violin should be banned from Earth. I have never heard one played well.

IMO, trombones aren't incredibly important, but they are still good to have around. In my current band we don't have any, but we had some last year and they were useful. We don't need them now (well, not really) because tenor saxes have basically the same or similar parts. Not to mantion that form my experience tenors tend to be cooler people. Please don't kill me for saying this. I think I have the right to make some stupid comment about instrumentation what with all the idiots who want to ban flute and piccolo. I play both (I can play alto sax and clairenet but I don't for band) and though they can be torture to the ears, every part of the pyramid is important and every instrument can sound awesome in the hands of a gifted player.

Hina Valkyrie Piccolos. @________@ They aren't instruments; they're a torture device! xD Oh, and open-holed flutes. x____x; Those are....like insanely hard to play (imo). .________. I think open hole flutes are very simple. That is what I play, and piccolos are not torture devices. You just have to be smarter than the instrument you are playing.

IMO,none should be banned,but I am really tempted to say recorders should be.I had to play the stupid thing in Elem. school.Oh and sucky players should be banned too!

iSmugly i think flutes should >w< sorry! The flute can have have beautiful sound if the right person is playing it. I think the piccolo should be banned because of its obnoxiously high pitch. But that's my opinion. But I guess I think this way because I play the tuba.

BAD oboe players. I know some Freakin' awesome Oboeists and they can stay. Oh, that and the electric triangle. It's like sticking a 12-volt battery to your tongue times at least seven-and-a-half. stare Not that I know this from first-hand experience or anything...
