`As the foot came up to him, his hands moved from his chest and gripped the ankle softly, letting out a little oomph as it hit his hands. He was willing to accept a few blows.. Especially since, as he just snapped into realizing, that he had been fighting almost entirely without thought up to this point. Which left him with one question, the best way to get down. He thought simple enough, grab leg, push off, push off shoulders... not so simple. Boot toe cought behind shoulders Banpaia fall into leg like wailing idiot and tumble clumsily unto his back, with his head only a few inches in front of the fighters falling foot-length range.` Ohh, well, I never was meant for travel. `He looked up lazily, his eyes closed, already sore on the first competitor, how he was ever to accomplish any more than this without causing damage or getting in a cheap shot was beyond him.... almost.... HE quickly tried to stumble away and to his feet, getting to the other side of the arena and standing up. A course of action that would begin with rolling to the side, then raising to a knee-on-floor push up position, then slinging back to stand up, and stepping back. How far in that he would get he really could not tell, unable to see the enemies eyes. By the time he rolled over, he would have dropped the cigarette on the floor, but that didn't matter, it had more use there.`

And the announcer was about to stop him too. At the very most he should've been dead. At the very least there should be an extremely painful welt on his spine - especially seeing as it was the place with the most neuron activity; although the man knew this from experience, not knowledge. Maybe this guy wasn't exactly human. Or maybe he just had more to him than met the eye. Either way, it didn't matter.
He showed a slight amount of surprise at the fact that he hadn't accidentally swallowed his burning cigarette. A fight like this - close hand-to-hand combat, was not the place for such a thing. Not if you were just going to stand in the same spot. At least that's how it seemed to him.
The crowd was just eating it up - it appeared that this man was a local favorite - one of the better martial artists in town. Always start with the basics. Or at least so they told ME. Quite a few people were moaning and some were writhing in agony as a another few grabbed their heads as though they were experiencing an extreme headache. It's apparent some of these people had put down a lot of money on Banpai. He was disappointing so far - and hadn't even used any techniques.
Uber fail. And they thought the mysterious guy was going to put up a good show. And win - most important of all at this point.
Not everybody gambled on the games though - only those who wanted an extra thrill out of it.¢‼"You really ought to just surrender at this rate."‼¢The martial artist said.¢‼((Something doesn't feel all to right about this character I've made here. X.o; Something's missing or something... XL))

Tasuki nodded his head. 'I can do that.' He frowned slightly. He wouldn't set the ship on fire..he felt slightly insulted by the comment. Tasuki seemed merely in his 20s, but actually was 60 years of age. He had enough experience to know how to control his powers. 'Sure thing.' His voice sounded slightly dull. He listened to Andrew's introduction. 'Clark it is then.' Once Tasuki heard that they would be setting off during the cold season he was glad he would be allowed to warm the ship. Tasuki hated the cold, but that was part of his kinds nature. They normally lived in the hottest of places. That was their comfort zone. Tasuki looked at Link slightly interested on what he had been doing before drowning himself in alcohol.

Link was feeling much better after taking care of his stomach. He stood listening and was about to answer Andrew's question when they boy continued to introduce himself. 'Well Andrew suits you. So i'll call you Andrew.' He smiled at the boy and then listened to Tasuki. He smirked seeing that he was slightly annoyed by the comment Andrew had made about any fire accidents. He tried to hold back his amusement but let out a small chuckle. 'Lighten up, he was only teasing.' He gave a slight pat on Tasuki's right shoulder as to show he meant no harm laughing. He got a cold stare in return. 'Heh.' He looked at Andrew and rolled his eyes. 'I was working for the man down the end there.' He pointed to a decent size ship that was loading and unloading cargo a few docks down. 'See the man that is leaning against the railing.' He tried to point at him as best he could, hoping they saw who he was referring to. 'That man was my Captain, and I was his right hand man. But I think he got jealous, or worried about being over thrown.' He nudged Andrew's arm with his elbow. 'His men were taking more of liking to me, and usually would ask me for orders.' He sighed. 'Nothing I can do about it now. But I have good knowledge about a ship.' He winked at the boy. 'So like I said, anything you ask.' He smiled and turned looking at the ship. 'How many will be accompanying us?'

At first his legs'd been hopping up and down with quite increasing strength (used) on display, as he switched from it being his stomach facing right to his stomach facing left, constantly. He was definitely on the balls of his feet though, and he'd stay like that for quite awhile.¢‼"Can't do that. You go first."‼¢It was obvious Banpai would either have to force him to move, or else come up with a way to trick him somehow. But it'd be difficult seeing as the longer it took for Bapai to react, the more relaxed and at peace he seemed to become. His focus was always directed at Banpai though, as though he just couldn't be distracted at all. In some ways, this gave him quite a bit of weakness. But who was to say he hadn't been working on it?¢‼"You know, it's not good for you to crack your neck like that."

'Nothing I can do about it now. But I have good knowledge about a ship.' He winked at the boy. 'So like I said, anything you ask.' He smiled and turned looking at the ship. 'How many will be accompanying us?' ☼Andrew smiled at Tasuki, glad that he could do that. When Link put in his two cents, he decided to call Link's bluff (it was actually one cent).☼"Actually, I wasn't kidding - to be honest. I don't know how good you are with your fire yet, so until I have an accurate account of it, I'll just have to trust you to know what you can and can't do, Tasuki."☼He looked sincere, and he was trying to be so too, 'cause he never wanted people to think a false reason for his actions, despite what the truth might do. At least he could be counted on to provide an honest reason when asked.
He'd had to think about his answer a bit though.
He was kind of glad that he'd be being called something different by both of them. Felt good for some reason.
He addressed Link next, not giving an apology for having doubts about Tasuki's control.☼"And thanks - I like to think so too, Link."☼After stating this, he looked to where the old man(?) was starting to point, not quite seeing it, but caring more about the reason than the person he was associated with; although he was sure the information could end up coming in handy someday. So he tried to pick one of them that looked captain-ish. What looked captain-ish anyway? He didn't know - he could only assume. Surely he didn't look too captain-ish, did he?☼"And okay, I see, thanks."☼He couldn't help but enjoy the contact from the man a little. Physical contact was always a plus for him, pretty much. When Link gave his reasons, he was both relieved, and a little worried.☼"I suppose that means you could be my second in command if I ever need some rest for sure. That'd be nice. You also might be able to help with anything related to repairs seeing as you know how things operate, so you could oversee mechanical operations. How's that sound?"☼He explained his reasoning quickly and with a smile, not giving any hand motions this time; although it probably would've been more entertaining had he dones so, but his voice was far from ever boring, so that was a good thing. Or so he hoped.
He wasn't too much about to explain any reasoning on any worries he might have; although it didn't even much show up on his face. If it did at all, it was slight, and it was in his eyebrows.☼

Ehh, I cant help it, if your worried about it, dont kick me there.
`He sighed, almost unbelievable this was to him. He set himself up, he agreed to a fight with little to no preparation, in an arena where anything he could do to give himself an advantage would be illegal. He looked at his opponent.`
Whys that? You have a little trouble with attack do you? Your slow on the assault, but easily compensate for it with your defense and counter attacks? Or just scared?
`He too, relaxed, beginning to stand up strait, he reached out with his hand, which was also relaxed. His body was wide open, only a meter and a half or so from Salem. His hand was reached out forming a circle where his fingers touched, no longer pale, as the rest of his skin still remained, but a black, membrane-ish color, showing thick skin, moist, slippery. Thin fingers, the nails still their clean black, but now forming points, like claws.`
`With the creaking of an opening door, the wood of the Bar counter would twist out, growing into a staff which would just kinda stick out. None of the bar was harmed, except maybe a new knot in the wood that would be there once the stick was removed. It was a simple wooden staff, with the chinese characters for wood, and metal ((Two of the five chinese elements metal, wind, air, fire, wood,)) carved in the top. Of corse, it was a faint sound, behind the crowd, so only those who would think about his hands would see it.`

She stood up quickly from her couching position and peeked out from behind the large bush that had become her hiding place. She looked back and forth, scanning the road for her father. Hmm, I wonder if he will try to stop me like the last time..About a month before she had tried to get away from the home she had lived in her whole life. She wanted to see more than just this small town. She had dreams, big dreams that wouldn't be fulfilled where she was. She had told her father this and he had become furious at her, forbidding her from leaving the town. She had finally had enough and decided to just leave. She had left a note as a way to say goodbye and she was starting to worry that he had read the note by now and was coming to find her. She pulled herself back behind the bush and pulled the hood of her cloak over her head. She picked up her bag and sighed nervously as she stepped out into the open. She almost expected something horrendous to happen, but all was as it was everyday, nothing ever seemed to change here. Now all I have to do is find a way out of here..She glanced towards the roads leading out of town. Not far enough..She glanced over to the docks and smiled to herself as she held her cloak firmly, as if it was her shield against failure. Perfect..

Tasuki seemed to be drifting from the conversation for a few moments, but tried to understand where Clark was coming from. 'Well I can handle it.' He tried to keep a calm exterior. As he glanced away he caught sight of a women in a black cloak. He couldn't help but examine her for a moment but then brought his attention back to the group. 'So you were trying to over throw him?' He asked with a slight smirk. He just felt like pushing his buttons for a moment. He felt it was only fair seeing the man had already felt he was comfortable enough to tease him.

Link felt a little awkward expecting the demon to yell at Andrew. He could almost feel the tension building, but was surprised when Tasuki just responded calmly. 'Mechanics, sounds good to me.' He paused for a moment glaring at Tasuki. 'I wouldn't do that to my Captain. When you travel, you are a team. And we made a great team, and I respected him and would have never done that.' His voice was serious, and had a tone of anger as he pointed his finger at Tasuki as he spoke. He sighed and put his hand through his hair and tried to calm himself down. 'At least I thought we made a good one.' He felt like an a** letting Tasuki get to him. He knew now that the fire demon just wanted to push his buttons as he watched the amused expression cross his face. He shifted his position, a little fidgety now. He raised an eyebrow as he saw a cloaked women approaching the dock. She seemed to have popped out from a few bushes by the dock. 'Heh, what is she up to?' He smirked amused. He was pretty sure it was a women. He stared hard trying to make out any physical features, noticing her slender leg slipping out from the black clothe he nodded to himself. It is a women... He whistled at the girl, the usual whistle expressing that he found her attractive. He smiled content with himself.

She stopped dead in her tracks as she heard a whistle above the sounds of the crowd.
It's probably nothing..
She glanced up slowly towards the dock where the whistle had come from and spotted a man standing amongst a few other men, smiling smugly. She turned in slight embarrassment, her cheeks began to flush.
Focus on your way out.
She looked to the side of the deck where there was a small cargo rack, waiting to be carried on board. She spotted a few small barrels and sized them up. She looked down at herself and back at the barrels.
Hmm..Maybe that is my way out.
She stood there analyzing other possibilities.

Of corse, it was a faint sound, behind the crowd, so only those who would think about his hands would see it.` ‼¢A faint look of skepticism crossed Salem's face as he looked toward Banpai as he gave his reason. Atsui couldn't help but wonder if that was just an excuse - and a false one, at that. He thought about it for a moment, now standing stalk still, and answered, giving an extra answer just 'cause he wanted to.¢‼"I'll start going on the assault if you force me to. Only then will you experience it. My name means 'peace.'"‼¢His eyes seemed to be drilling a hole through Banpai. A paranoid person (or person with anxiety) might wonder whether or not it was a technique of some sort. Maybe even a doujutusu ((lol)). Getsu contemplated on what it was Banpai was doing, but just kept his focus. It seemed apparent that he was using some sort of technique, so he'd just have to use a technique of his own to compensate, even if it didn't help at all depending on the situation that was being forced, if any at all.
The crowd was mostly silent; although there were a few among them sobbing, whining, or something else about losing money. The others were as silent as though it were a chess match, waiting for the next move.
Atsui's focus split in two, and no longer would it seem as though he were trying to drill a hole through Banpai's head with his eyes. Or, at least, not as much anymore. And it definitely wouldn't be as unnerving.¢‼"This is why I am called 'heat.'"‼¢Anybody with infra-red vision would notice the searing red starting to congregate at his hands, as though they were on fire, without actually being so, and as though heat were just being created from thin air. Under normal circumstances, this miraculous(?) heat could heal injuries and diseases after a period of time. But it would be meant to injure and protect under these circumstances. At the least, wherever it touched, it would cause first degree burns. Depending on who it was used on.
Atsui was still working on this particular technique.
The guy was like some kind of super monk (without the super).¢‼"How about we continue?"((Lol. X) ))

He whistled at the girl, the usual whistle expressing that he found her attractive. He smiled content with himself. ☼Andrew felt satisfied with both of their replies. And he was happy Tasuki was trying to understand. It could be problematic if the red-haired one attempted to start arguments at every juncture. He was extremely happy this particular demon had control. Still, Tasuki could be the kind to start bar fights. Might be fun.
Link's response to Tasuki made him feel very secure, but he was still trying to be on his toes. He'd been betrayed before in his life, and he wasn't about to let utter recklessness get him killed.☼"Don't worry about it, Link. I'm sure he'll come around sooner or later, if you ever want to go back to him."☼The boy smiled with his last sentence, and was entirely serious. He just wanted to help Link feel better. Someone with that much use and purpose shouldn't be dumped on the side of the street to drink. He was quite sure sooner or later the other guy would realize his mistake though. Especially when he began to get tired. He could only imagine how long that might take compared to himself. Giving a slight chuckle at Link's antics, he didn't catch sight of the girl who was running and then looking towards the barrels. And even if he had, he would've liked to have a stowaway aboard. Just made things all the funner, in his opinion.
Clark couldn't help but wonder as to whether or not he was forgetting something. Maybe he just felt extremely out of place? Man, he needed a nap.
There would end up being a party on board after they left - he'd arrange it. And it might help boost people's morale. He also wanted to make a quick visit back to the portal before the party, so he started trodding off.☼"I've got to go take care of some things now, guys. Make yourselves at home, but at the same time, try to be useful. I have faith in y's."☼It was true, he did. But his eyes seemed extremely pre-occupied with something. Something was definitely on his mind. He hadn't even been listening to Link's answer, if he gave one. At least barely, if at all.☼((If you don't stowaway, I know exactly how to get you on board, applesauce. razz If you explore the ship I'll try and act as NPCs and such. ^,^; Just do whatever you feel like in the roleplay. biggrin ))

Mendokusai
`He could not see, as the Third Eye did not offer sight, but he could diffidently tell that heat was building up, his this was diffidently a pain, the second fire element today, he hated the heat. His hand shook a little bit, opening, a thin green membrane skin linked his fingers together, webbing, but it was too small and concentrated near the tips of his fingers and base to have any use. This was when he finally got energy to create a large cracking noise, the staff would -seemingly- fly from nowhere. Its origins unable to be traced, as it left no mark. As the staff flew from afar, twords him, his hand would return from normal. Pale white skin covering the thick membrane that was there before, his staff getting closer every moment. At the time that the enemies eyes would focus, suffocatingly on his, his pupils would shrink. It was that moment, that they shared a mind, that Salem would set loose. In the sudden blight, the drugs would kick in, Smoke that was previously clouding the air, would cloud Salem's mind. Concentration was lost, thought was lost, time was lost, and Salem would probably begin to get dizzy, or light headed. He could see everything in the others mind, from find to foe, past present and future, and the flame, the spark that kept him going, tainted with the blood of his allies. It was in that second, as if in slow motion, the staff would come sliding into his hand, the symbol for metal glowed and two 1.5 feet long blades, like little scythes, would bust out of the wood, at the tip, facing opposite each other. His pupils enlarged, no longer focused on this man, and as this man was unable to concentrate, hardly able to give thought, he would smile. His staff raising to defense.`
I think this counts as forcing you to.
