The man seemed pleased enough with the traveler's answer. And he huffed a reply.
"Hmmf... There are several inns in town, but if you want to stay for free the only places like that would be in the Underground area. You're free to go. Move along."
The guard dissapeared and a green flag was raised above the checkpoint.

An underground? Yeah right He knew that they were the slums basically, but he didn't know anythign of this region, so, he might check it out. In the mean time, he started to jog across the plains, heading towards the general direction of the other check points.
Now, all I have to do is find a trainer, and maybe I will finally be able to use this long sword. maybe He could train me to use my short sword too.

Vega explored the overly large city, covering his body in a cloak, wearing a large metallic hat, which concealed his eyes if seen from straight view. "Seems safe here..." He thought aloud, continuing his exploration of this city.

He thought aloud, continuing his exploration of this city. A guard passed by him and set a hand on his shoulder. Hey, unless theres a reason, please remove your hat or pull it up to where we can make out your face. We don't need any trouble. His voice was stern.

Dame felt awkward walking through the gate of the city. He was breathing hard from the run, and didn't know what to expect. It looked like people lived normally here, SOmething which he so longed for. He walke dthorugh, looking around. This must have been the outer city, since nothing seemed to be much bigger than average outer city looks. All the cities he had been to, or most, had been set up that way. An inner, outer, and underground part of the city.
He started to look around, and saw a sign for a Leviathan Stadium. This would be the place where fighters gathered. Maybe he could find a sword master there. Hopefully at least. This was going to be the place to go. Now, he just needed Directions.
Dame walked up to the nearest guard, and asked for directions.
Sir, Could you please tell me how to get to Leviathan Stadium?

Vega looked at him, but as he was told, he pulled down his hat, and brought it to hand upon his back, revealing his medium length sea blue hair. "Sorry, I did not mean anything."

Damrius Sir, Could you please tell me how to get to Leviathan Stadium? The guard wasn't all that friendly sounding, but he did his best to convey the answer the man was looking for. Leviathan Stadium eh? That's near Latent. If you want to get there you'll have to get on the train at the Train Station and go to Latent. The Stadium is only an hour's walk or so from Latent. However, if you're trying to go there for the Heaven or Hell Tournament, it's already started. The guard had done his best to answer the young man's question, hopefully that would help him.

By Train? Damn.. That's gonna be expensive I bet Dame shook his head, and then asked another question. He felt very foolish for this, but he had only had very little money in his entire life. No more than 10 copper.
Um, thank you sir. But I also have another question. I have no money. Is there some way I can earn some money fast in order to get the ticket?
Damrius had felt very foolish now, and his face was turning slightly red from embarrassment.

The guard nodded. Not a problem. We just get alot of trouble here, and with the way you were walking about all covered up you could have been a trouble maker. Thank you for your cooperation. The guard nodded again and turned, dissapearing into the crowd of civilians.

Vega bowed, as he continued his walking, looking around, taking the guard's warning, watching out for anything that could pose a threat.

Damrius Um, thank you sir. But I also have another question. I have no money. Is there some way I can earn some money fast in order to get the ticket? The guard grinned a bit. This youngster wasn't much older than his son. To be out on his own in a place like this could be quite dangerous. Besides, although dark, the Lamentian people were generally well meaning and kind folks, as long as they weren't picking your pockets. The guard then did something unexpected. You know, I have a son not much older than you. You remind me of him just a bit. I'll tell you what. A train ticket doesn't cost much around here. Only about 500 gold. I get paid that much in an hour or so at my post. The guard then reached into his pocket and pulled out his coin bag. He counted out five 100g pieces and handed them to the young man in front of him. There. That should get you a ticket to Latent. Keep it close to you on your way so you don't get it stolen. And I wish you luck on your travels. The guard grinned and put away his money.

Vega overheard the guard who spoke about a stadium, which intrigued his mind. He followed, and checked to see how this "Stadium" was.

Dame looked at the money in awe.
Sir, thank you very much. I will heed your words. Thank you again!
Dame turned around, and shoved the gold peices into his pocket. He latched the pocket shut, and then covered it with his short sword. He began to run towards the train station.
After a while of running, he reached the train station. He had kept checking along the way to make sure that he had not been pickpocketed. Indeed he hadn't. This was good. He walked up to the shortest line, which he managed to get through quickly. He pulled out the gold peices, and asked for one ticket to Latent. The clerk smiled, and gave him a ticket. He handed her the gold, and then headed onto the platform, and waited for the doors of the train to open. Once they did, he waited for the crowd to push through, and then made his way in calmly. He found his seat, and sat. He looked out the window at the bustling crowd. He would finally be able to find a master. For the first time in his life. The train started up, and he smiled.

Vega had ran, following the man who headed for the island, and in short time, he caught the train as the doors shut, sighing for air. "Barely made it"
