Derek looked back up at her. his eyebrows met on his forehead as he brought back the memories. inside he was cringing as he went through all his career, but he was too well trained to show it on his face. "One, Lord Grothwern. I do not know what he wanted but, as it should be, if you are not going to kill me, then i should help you. Act as a servant and bodyguard if you want. well, you probably don't trust me to do any of that. whatever you wish, my life is in your hands now." he said softly.

Lord Grothwern. The name rang a bell in Blythe's mind. The man who wanted to take over the forest and enslave the creatures... it would make perfect sense to get rid of the guardians of the forest before he plots his attack... but what is he waiting for...? It's been 38 years. What terrible plans did he have for the forest?
"Pack up," Blythe said coldly as she turned and soared through the window. "We're leaving for Kinkushou City at daylight."

[and now i just look creepy. imagine if you woke up and saw my current avi standing over you in your bed, about to kill you. bwahahahaha, i'd scare someone silly=P]
Derek nodded. he looked around the room. his stuff was already packed, as it always was. he had to leave quickly in the middle of the night more than once before. Derek sat on his bed and thought about the time when he received the mission. he went over all the details in his mind very carefully, concentrating on the minutest things. for some reason, Derek felt like there was something bigger going on here and he didn't like being left in the dark about it.
