2nd out of 5.
The girl that is 1st chair has been playing for over 10 years and even teaches bassoon lessons. I have no chance of catching up with her with my amazing 3 year experience. lol

2nd Chair Violinist out of 6. The girl who is first chair has beat me in Flute, and now in Violin. Oh well. :I But for a beginner, in an advanced class, I'd say thats pretty damn good since I beat the advanced Violinist, who is currently 4th chair. XD

I am currently 2nd Chair Clarinet out of.. hmm.. 16 other people in concer band.
I lost my 1rst chair position to a girl who practices a lot and is a real band nerd. She is pretty serious too. She has only been playing for about 6 months too, which is kinda bad. I'm still pretty happy with myself about it though :3

I'm the first chair clarinet out of nine in my band, first chair clarinet out of around 180 (if you count every clarinetist that was given a "chair", even though only 15 are in the band lol) in all-district.

First violinist out of... two. Now can you see how big my school's concert band is? Its tiny! - No brass - Two Alto Sax's, One Tenor Sax - Possible four flutists (spelling?) one clarinetist - two pianists - one drummer, two percussionists - Two bassists (electric) - one cellist And that's it.

I'm first chair cello out of. . . I think 25-30 others... I honestly don't remember. I'ma first chair flute out of like nine. The top three of four are the only ones that try though. Everyone else, no offense to them, suck pretty darn bad. I'm not trying to be superior or anything but even the BD says it's true.

I'm second chair of the violas in my orchestra, but that's really because the first chair person is a senior, and she wanted a solo before she graduated. Everyone thinks that I'm better than she is though, even my conductor! I made All State Orchestra and she didn't XD
