((This is after all of the Spider-fun!!))
It had been awhile that Krys had gone to Julie's plant. Usually when she came, she stuck around with the sprite himself...which has started to be a problem. He was becoming irritable more easily because of the lack of care to his plant...but yet, he never said anything. The little dark sprite was much too proud to ask his human guardian for help.
Today, Krys was going to dedicate to the plant. If Julie want to help, that was fine... but his plant needed some serious attention!
She arrived with another box. First thing she did was to empty it out, for this box was now her garbage disposal. Krys cleaned off the rock first... the christmas decorations just had to go. After scrubbing it off further, she painted an egg on it. It was pink with little blue curves, yellow dots, and a white rabbit.
Julie had watched the human. He was annoyed that Krys hadn't even paid any attention to him, not even a greeting! And then... she couldn't possibly have just done that!
He ran to the top of the rock, with his hands on his hips, and scowled up at the woman,
"What do you think you are doing!?"Krys stared at the dark little sprite in shock, surprised to see him there, "What do you mean?
"It's PINK! What were you thinking?""It's cute, and it's in the spirit of easter." She put the last finishing touches on it.
Julie just steamd while her watched. When Krys stood up and went to the plant, he tried to get the paints.... but the woman had already stashed them where he could get to them. He glared at the rock instead, wishing away the pink to no luck.
Meanwhile, Krys went to the plant. Some of the leaves were wrinkled and black. Some of them were worse than others, and it was obvious that it had tried to save the bad ones... in doing so, it just made some good ones worse. Carefully, the woman went to cutting off the bad leaves. It wasn't so bad, it just looked worse that it was. The baby tree itself was fine.
Pleased, the woman put all the debris in the box. Julie was still muttering about the pink on
his rock. Krys brought out a straight stick, and some string. She stuck the stick in by the tree, straight and deep. Then, she tied it secure to help it grow straight.
With a grin, Krys sat back on her heels and crossed her arms, pleased with her work.
Julie turned to his tree and almost fainted,
"MY GOD, woman! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" The dark sprite scurried to his tree. Tears were in his eyes as he petted the tree where leaves were. He cradled one of the few healthy leaves that were left, and looked back and up at Krys.
"My... my tree! This is my life, you know! I cannot survive with out it... and here, you've.... violated it...!"Krys could not believe how emotional he was getting. "Julie..." she started slowly, making sure her words were reaching into his mentally-unstable mind, "this needed to be done. I have been doing a bad job taking care of your plant, neglecting it. Because of that, some of the leaves were bad... and you were getting crabby."
After a pause, the woman lifted her good eyebrow, "And now, you are overly emotional!"
"I AM NOT!" Julie pouted, knuckling away the tears.
Rolling her eyes, Krys brought out her gift. They were easter eggs... sort of. Instead of plastic, they were in a kind of environmental-friendly casing that would, due to being exposed to the elements, slowly 'melt' and the fertilizer inside would help nurish the plant. Carefully, she put two in the mulch. The last two she put on top.
Holding her hand on the ground, Krys smiled at Julie, "Now come, let's go sit by the fountain and wipe away those tears."
In his current state of mind, Julie was not one with a good comeback... now was he one to argue. Her clambered onto her hand and the two walked to the fountain, taking Krys's garbage with them.
