Yay, character reinvention! I recently change my runescape name, and with it, switched my character to male. So of course Marshall Cote, or Kooey as he comes to be known in the course of his adventures, needed a new look (and a new backstory, which I salvaged from my old character).
I didn't draw in his (defense) cape because I wanted a clear look at his jacket for later reference. And because he's not really a cape person. Instead I made the badge on his jacket in defense colours.
I think I might keep it that way actually...
It's the first thing I've drawn in like 2 weeks, and I'm mighty pleased with it. I didn't use any runescape references for the style of the jacket, so it might be a little off, but I kind of wanted a semi-original design anyway (I believe the collar is supposed to be more square, for instance). I did use references for his body and pose, if you can call comics a reference (but they must be doing something for me because he actually looks like a man for once). Couldn't find a reference for the arm in the jacket pocket though, so if it seems kind of gimped, that's why.
Drawn with pencil, then scanned and coloured (just flats because I'm a lazy mofo) in Paint Shop Pro.
Next time I'll draw him doing some actual runescape stuff. ninja
