(Sorry I've been away. Holidays are always busy for my family.)
Biting her lip she nodded trying to remember the location of the first aid area in this mall. The mall was huge and she hadn't been here in a long time so she wasn't sure if things were moved. "I guess we can go there." She said pushing herself up ignoring the pain that was shooting through. She kept her face blank to hide the pain she was feeling.
Walking carefully over to Mortimer she shook her head. "No not theater but drama as in chaos, problems. I took theater in high school before i left but i couldn't handle how fake people were. I don't know why but it always seemed like a competition to them. They missed the meaning in acting." Victoria said remembering how her class mates would act like big movie stars. She scoffed at the memories.
Her eyes snapped to the door in thought. If someone was going to come after them then they would have already done so. "I think its safe. If i remember correctly the medical attention area should be close. I know it was on this level." She recalled walking to the door and carefully opening it.

((np. And just as a head's up, I probably won't be on much, if at all, on Sunday as my family is going out of town.))
"It's much easier to appreciate the arts when you remember when it was born, I should think, love," Mortimer said, frowning slightly at the mention of high school and the education Victoria had received there. It did not sound like his kind of place at all.
As for heading back out into the Mall, that was something that Mortimer was all too ready for. He was slightly less-than-impressed that a Mall operated by one of the vampire clans still had those same nasty smelling sanitization/air freshener contraptions in their lavatories. Why couldn't one of them be a perfume maven with the ability to control nice smelling scents and direct them to permeate the lavatories?
Because that would just be too much for the humans to handle, Mortimer. The poor dears," Victor said, softly chiding him for his lack of sympathy.
"I suppose you're right," he said aloud as they emerged into the greater part of the Mall. "Now if I was First Aid," he muttered, scanning the corridor with his grey eyes. "Where would I hide?"

(Wow, my internet has been turned off for a month and I can only get on at my friends house.)
Victoria nodded her head. "I wasn't born in the same era as you were. I'd say I'm only nineteen-ish." Victoria said scanning the names of the stores for the health clinic area.
Laughing she pointed at the red plus sign. "I'd say it was hiding right there. Lets just hope the welcome me with open arms here." Victoria said walking in. Biting her lip she observed the faces of the few nurses in there as the gasped at her bloody form.
A nurse rushed to her side. "Oh my." The nurse said pulling her away from Mortimer and to a bed. Pushing her back Victoria hissed lightly as the nurse applied pressure to her side.

((Ouch. GL with getting it turned back on and whatnot.))
"Ah," Mortimer muttered, lifting a hand to protest what he was quite sure the women were about to say in regards to Victoria's appearance, that he was somewhat taken off-guard when they whisked her away.
"Please wait," he said, pitching his voice a little louder as he swept off after them, the tails of his coat making a gentle swishing noise against his legs as he moved. "I don't believe that you ladies fully understand the nature of the problem," he began, attempting to keep his face even as he formed the middle of a sort of nurse-sandwich as two of the white-clad women forced their way past him as he approached Victoria's bed. One shoved him none-too gently into the other one as she hurried to the injured girl's side, throwing a dirty glance in his direction as if her injuries were his fault.
"No, no you really don't understand-" he began again, weakly. He still felt guilty about her condition. But when Victoria hissed, he nearly threw the offending woman against a wall in his haste to reach her. "Victoria!" he said sharply, not at ease amongst so many strangers and their hustley-bustley ways. But to see Victoria injured and these so-called 'first aid' women only causing her more pain was not having a positive effect on his mood at all-a fact that was reflected all too clearly in his steel grey eyes.

Victoria watched helplessly as Mortimer tried to get to her side as the nurses scrambled around her trying to get a better view of her wounds to check the extent. She pleaded with her eyes to one of the nurses who kept prodding at her wounds. "Stop." She whimpered as one of the woman took off her shirt and started to pour a liquid on her side causing her to grit her teeth together.
Her hand shot out gripping the woman's arm as the other pushed Mortimer as he reached her. "Listen. Some gauze will do. I'm okay, let Mortimer stay with me please. I'd really appreciate it if you didn't push him around." Victoria hissed again. Her eyes narrowed as she looked at her side as the peroxide cleaned the gash on her side.
Victoria frowned softly as both woman shook their heads at her outburst. "Madam please calm down or we can't help you. What ever happened to you left you injured and we need to clean the wounds." The nurse looked over at Mortimer for a moment. "He can stay but he has to stay out of our way unless he wants to play nurse with us." She said sarcastically. Victoria grabbed his hand drawing Mortimer closer to her for comfort as she watched the nurses gather things for her wounds. "I hate this." She whispered sadly looking up at him.

Mortimer nodded his head as she pulled him closer. Admittedly, he was none-too happy with the situation himself. He had agreed to take Victoria to the first aid station because he had believed it to be a place of healing and comfort. Mortimer found this current scenario to be anything but.
Victoria was in pain and these women were merely adding to her suffering with their 'modern' potions and healing arts. The current concoction that they were pouring over a vulnerable and indecent Victoria burned in his nostrils and he took his current proximity to her to be an opportunity to view the extent of her wounds. Hissing softly as he saw the strange bloody foam that was bubbling up from her wounds, crimson rose in his eyes in response-coloring his usually grey eyes a bright blood-red.
The rasping of steel was heard as he drew his sabre from its sheath with his free hand. Leveling it at the offensive nurse, a cruel smile formed on his lips as he said, "Madam, I believe the lady asked you to stop. My...colleague would be beholden to you if you did. He would hate for me to commit violence in a house of healing-however crude its practices are."

The nurse stepped back clearly frightened by Mortimer and his weapon. The fear was replaced by annoyence and cockiness. "Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to put that away and let us do our job." Her eyes meet the other nurses who continued. "Due to whatever breed she is her wounds are healing themselves but we need to bandage them.
Victoria scoffed and looked up at Mortimer. Cocking her head to the side she stared at his crimson colored eyes. He seemed just as agitated as she was at this point. A small smile crept to her lips despite the pain she was in. "Its alright. We'll be out of here soon. Ladies i suggest you finish this up." Victoria said forcing a smile in their direction.
The two ladies watched Mortimer wearily as they finished wrapping the white gauze tape around her abdominal area and around her upper arm. "There you go." They said stepping away from the two of them. "Thanks." Victoria muttered zipping up her hoodie.
Note to self, never rely on the help of nurses. I can't believe drama follows me everywhere i go. She thought grimly looking down.
"Lets go. We have some shopping to do." She said looking up at Mortimer determined to do what she came her to do. She wanted to help Mortimer get a feel of the new age in this chaotic World.

"Breed? You dare-!" Cristoph lifted the blade until its straight edge nearly rested against his neck as he prepared to cut the woman down in the close quarters he had found himself in. The sword was his weapon-the blade that Mortimer had unwittingly crafted for him-one that he wielded with relish.
His red eyes caught sight of Victoria's smile and he stiffened, the red quickly draining from them as his fingers tightened both upon the hilt and the hand he still held. Mortimer had used him? Christoph felt Mortimer forcibly reclaiming his position of the dominant personality and snarled softly. What had given the infantile creature the power to overthrow him? No matter. He would be prepared for the next time Mortimer 'allowed' him to resurface-and he would monopolize the time and attention of all that Mortimer had allowed himself to love. Just as he had the first time he had visited Mortimer.
Mortimer frowned softly, glad that Christoph had receded without argument or bloodshed. Not that Victoria noticed the difference, he thought with a soft sigh, remembering her smile as he sheathed the naked blade in his hand.
He was glad, though, that the nurses had finished in his 'absence' and that Victoria had been allowed to reclaim her top. "You still want to?" he asked gently as she looked up at him.

Her eyes flickered back to the nurses for a brief moment. "Yes. I came here to show you a good time and to get you some clothes. I'm fine, trust me." Victoria assured taking his hand and lead him out of the horrible place.
Something seemed off with Mortimer and she made a note to figure out what was wrong with him. There was something about him that changed for a brief moment when he threatened the nurses. Victoria frowned looking back him for a moment.
"What kind of look do you want to go for?" She asked looking around at each stores.

"Alright then," Mortimer said, laughing softly as she lead him out of the 'first aid' room. Catching her frown though, he sighed and flicked his long black locks out of his face, angling his eyes away from her. His little episode in front of the nurses would need to be explained, he realized. Mortimer had hoped that Christoph would stay dormant, but in his heightened state of worry and anger, a mild form of Christoph had broken through his defenses. Luckily, nothing life-threatening had become of the incident, but Mortimer knew he would need to keep a closer guard on himself from now on.
Pulled from his musings by Victoria's question, he scanned the store-fronts with his grey eyes. "I believe you mentioned something about a store with wizards?"

His sigh made her look up at him. Something was causing him to worry. She couldn't read him mind and it bugged her that she couldn't see what was making him fret. This day certainly had its ups and downs and she was determined to have more ups this day in spite of her current condition.
Victoria nodded her smiling. The wizard store would certainly have something that would hold up against his powers. "Oh yes. Hopefully they will have the style you'd want." She said leading him through the crowds of people to their destination. She wasn't sure if the store had clothes similar to what he used to wearing. "Here we are." She said as they entered the store.
Assortments of nick-nacks lined the walls of the shop. Victoria scrunched up her face as the different smells of potions wafted to her. Her eyes landed on the clothes area of the store. "Ah-ha there they are." Victoria said happily skipping over to the clothes. She wanted to laugh at the various clothes they had, especially the wizard clocks. "They have tons of things here. Certainly they will have something just right for you." Her smile widened as she found the clothes similar to what Mortimer was wearing.

Mortimer smiled as familiar, if slightly unpleasant, smells assaulted his senses upon entry into the shop. He chuckled softly as he looked over at Victoria and noticed the look of distaste upon her face. He had lived in a time when bathing was practically unheard of. People had smelled worse than this-until the French had invented perfume to cover it up.
"Hmm, I think this would look nice on you, Victoria," Mortimer said, prodded amongst the wizard hats as Victoria searched for actual clothing for him to wear. The particular garment he had found rolled up on the shelf was a half-cloak of a deep royal purple adorned with bright golden stars in a 'classic' wizard pattern that made the vampire smile. Too cliche, he thought, looking at it before he was distracted by Victoria's offering of a coat very much like the one he was wearing.
He traced the gold embroidery with his eyes as if he was afraid to touch the garment. "And you don't think I'd be able to...hurt it, do you?" he asked, a note of disbelief in his voice.

Victoria laughed at the hats. "Um...no I think I'll pass. Thats not my style." She said staring at the witches hats. Its one thing to accept who you are but its another to go all out on the Harry Potter look.
Her gaze directed to article of clothes in her hands. "No you wont damage it. They can put a spell on it that will withstand your own powers. But if per say you were to get into a fight then it can be messed up. Try it on." Victoria said handing it him giving him a reassuring smile.
There are so many things that Mortimer didn't know about modern magic that he was sheltered from at his home. She wondered if he would like how advanced things were.

Mortimer's smile widened when she refused, though he was confused by her reference to Harry Potter. What did witches have to do with gardeners?
Shrugging off his confusion in his excitement for the new garment, he slipped his arms gently out of the coat and traded his for the one in Victoria's hands. Looking over the antique-looking garment nervously, Mortimer took Victoria's words to heart and slid his arms into the sleeves. It would be nice to have some clothes that wouldn't burst into flames, not that he intended to get into any fights.
"Well," he said as he smoothed the lapels with his pale hands before he lowered them, looking up at Victoria to see what she thought of the new coat. "How do I look?"

Victoria smiled as he slipped on the coat. "It looks wonderful." She said looking him over. "This store is an awesome store. Your clothes wont get destroyed now." She said looking through the racks for more clothes.
Each rack had various types of clothing. "Just pick out things you'd wear and we can get a spell put on them. I wonder if the store can do the same to the things you already own?" She said looking around. This store had so many random little odds and ends.
Slipping on one of their black and red ropes she laughed. "Its like playing dress up." Victoria said putting on the hat Mortimer offered to her earlier and stricked a model pose trying not to giggle at how odd she must look.
